The hotel would be something I would book again if not for the fees. The hotel is in a great location, very quiet and walkable, and the rooms are both clean and comfortable. However, I ended up getting charged $50 more than Expedia quoted. That's a first for a hotel I've booked and was disappointing. Fees greater than what I prepared for made the hotel less relaxing and more frustrating.

Its comfy beautiful neat and clean. The only complaint is the extra service charge for the stay. I believe that once you pay for the stay via third party there shouldn't be additional fees upon check in . Its the hotel but it is the industry and times we now live in .

Convenient location but lacking amenities
The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk to Michigan Ave, Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Water Place.
Check-in and out were efficient, however, the ran out of extra pillows - huh?!?!? The in-room temperature control didnt work well for us, so the temperatures kept fluctuating all night. The vent is also very loud, the bed firm (which we liked). The bar on the 29th floor was closed and so was the coffee shop at the lobby. Overall it was an okay stay.

Bait and switch- read all the terms.
This place is a master is the bait and switch. Prove on the website says one thing, but fine print is a whole different story. Amenities that you have to pay for include use of a peloton, but the bike they are talking about is in another hotel about a mile away. GM threatened to boot me out of the place for complaining about the bait and switch. Stay away

The hotel was not worth the money I paid for the Pete this paint was peeling off the ceiling the grout was coming off of the bathroom tile and the bathtub looked dingy

Not a resort! Fees doubled overall cost
Mediocre hotel. Price of reservation doubled at check in with resort fees and $75 to use hotel valet. Literally nothing wonderful about our stay for the insane cost. (I naturally expected a cost for valet, but $75 is bananas coupled with $90 in “resort fees”. This is FAR from a resort!

Scam with rude staff. But it is cheap.
The room was big, and the workout room was also large and well-ventilated. Coffee in the lobby was meh. Unfortunately those are the nicest things I can say about this place. It just seems like a scam. The bar isn't real; the "coffee bar" is just Kuerigs, your "guest gift" is a 6 pack of sodas and a coupon pack - for $50/day you can't opt out of... just weird and annoying. The bathroom in my room also smelled like vomit - possibly from the previous guest. The smell lingered for 1.5 days. The staff was pretty rude too. The attitude seems to be, "well if you don't like it, stay somewhere else". Which isn't exactly a way to convince people TO stay. Unfortunately most travelers don't have time or brain space to negotiate a new hotel on the fly and I would suspect most (like me) just choose to deal with it.

I booked the property and Expedia expecting the price to be what was advertised. When I arrived I was told it was an additional $75 charge for some kind of weird resort fee. They gave me access to the workout room and a bag with bottles of water. I was told that it was clearly indicated on my Expedia booking. I'm sure it was but clearly it was done and away to get the desired result.

Substandard staff. Couple of them were nice. Most acted like you were bothering them when asking them for something and one had his AirPods in the entire time he was at reception taking to guests. Also, bate and switch pictures of a bar and cafe on your site that staff said has been completely closed for a long time and will there were no plans to reopen it.

Employee we dealt with was rude and dismissive.
We were over-charged for undisclosed fees.
Facilities were not open (bar/coffee).
No shampoo/conditioner/daily cleaning.
Great location.
Def a budget hotel with an exorbitant cost of $487.99 USD/night.
Would not recommend.

Complete hoodwink on pricing with unseen resort fees and taxes that doubled the price of my stay. Room was antiquated with a ton of repurposed stuff from prior hotel on the site (literally nothing was updated when these guys took over the space). Toilet paper holder fell off the wall when I walked in the bathroom, and room reeked of smoke. Horrible experience, avoid like the plague. None of the amenities described are open even

The Hotel Audrey/Chicago was amazing! The view from the room of downtown Chicago was impeccable, could see all the lights, people and architecture unparalleled by any city. You are located right of Michigan Ave. for all the wonderful shopping & restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable and appointed very nicely. Even received a beverage gift upon arrival, very nice! Highly recommend & will be back!

Just ok.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our theatre and dinner mother daughter trip. The lobby is super cute and the staff was very friendly. We requested early check in and it was not available, adjusted our plans and that wasn't the worst thing. Our room left a lot to be desired. For the price I wasn't impressed. It appeared clean, not sparkling, but satisfactory. The beds were not ideal but we managed. The decor in the room was lacking completely. zero accents. Color. Decor none. And room was relatively small. Wouldn't be in my top 5 in theatre district mag mile when we go back to the city again. Which we do about 4 times a year. Overall, just ok. Wasn't sure how to process the hotel parking. I messaged before hand and got no response. I was told the hotel charges $70. I ended up paying $93 for 24 hrs. Clearly not ideal.

Our one year old was having surgery at Luries and this hotel was so close and convenient. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming which made the stress and overall anxiety lowered. We will always choose this hotel for future stays!

I regret to say that my stay at this hotel was the worst experience I've ever had. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful, and the rooms were far from clean. We had booked a suite with a sofa bed, but the staff showed no interest in helping us set it up. Sleeping on that sofa bed was a nightmare; it was so worn out that the metal parts jutted into your back as you lay down.
Amenities were equally disappointing. Don't expect to find basics like a wine opener or glasses in your room, because they provide none of those. To add insult to injury, the resort fee is $45 per night, and you get absolutely nothing for it—there's not even a gym on the property.
I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone; it's a very, very bad choice. Stay away.

Kind of disappointed
Disappointed that when I booked was not informed that the bar wasn't open. Also had to ask housekeeper to empty trash after 3 nights. Total expense was more than I thought when booking. Most of front desk staff was friendly. Guy there when I checked in seemed to be put out that we arrived an hour early. Not real nice. But the other man who was there most of the time was extremely helpful, in fact he wouldn't take a tip that I offered.

Beautiful rooms. Comfy and fun - well designed- superb art, great use of space.
Sky deck is lovely! Gym is abundant with various equipment and well designed with use of space to provide illusion of light and space. Great desk staff!! Very very clean. Halls are not overly air conditioned - unusual and fabulous!!!

Lovely Little Gem in the Heart of the Mag Mile
I really enjoyed my stay at the CHC-Mag Mile. The staff was warm and very professional, especially Raymondo/Raymond (I think). Loved the modern design of my hotel room, nice views, and the bed was comfy. I stayed during the hottest days of the summer, and I loved the amenity of receiving six beverages (3 waters and 3 soda) per day, and I really liked the coffee station and fitness center. There is also a business center which I didn't get a chance to use. There are tons of restaraunts, stores, a movie theater, and Chicago landmarks. I definitely recommended staying there.
I did have an issue with the difference between the invoice I received from Hotels.com and the actual price when I checked in. I had to pay a deposit, which was refunded after I checked out. There also other fees like resorts, etc. Read the fine print! And although my bathroom was very clean, the nightstands needed some dusting.

If you’re looking for an affordable, no frills stay on the magnificent mile, this could be your hotel. Not the fanciest and a little outdated, but the beds are very comfy and the space is relatively clean. Not a bad shout at all considering how much we paid to stay there the same night.

We only stayed one night, but it was a wonderful one!!! Check in was a breeze (just be prepared for the $100 incidental charge on top of your room rate), staff was very hospitable, room was immaculate and beds were very comfy!! THEE ONLY GRIPE I HAVE WITH THIS HOTEL IS THE $70 PARKING and no temp place to park your car for check-in!!! Other that thay......9/10! Id return!

I was Not excited to learn about an Amenity Fee or Processing charge upon checkout. The amenity fee is charged for services whether utilized or not by the guest of the hotel. Such as coffee area, weight room, a gift bag of bottled waters and soda.

The hotel services your room every FOURTH night. If you want it to be cleaned in the interim, there is a fee of $50 for each cleaning. I could find no mention of this on their website.
There is also a sizable facility fee. It totaled $269 for a three-night stay. When I asked what I was getting for that, I was handed a bag with three bottles of water and three cans of soda (I don't drink soda) and then I was told there was a coffee bar (several Keurig machines in the lobby, which are often present in other hotel rooms). Certainly, for a facility fee like that, the hotel could have serviced the room. No reason to return to this hotel.

I felt this property was far overpriced for what it is. I've stayed at much nicer and more affordable properties in this area. The room cleanliness was definitely lacking. The bed was missing a fitted sheet. Is this a new hotel trend? The (male) front desk staff was blatantly rude. For example, he was talking poorly of other guests right in front of me when I was checking in. Why not take this to the back office? This is incredibly disrespectful and not what you would expect for a hotel that is $600 a night... I would pass on this hotel and explore other options either in this area or in Gold Coast. One perk is that there are two good parking options here.

Not worth the price….
Hotel is very nice BUT a couple of notes:
- It was advertised to have a restaurant and it was not open
- Valet Parking not available at 11pm to drop off my truck. Tried the to other option recommended around the corner and they wouldn’t take my Tahoe because of it’s height… ended up parking across de street in Public Parking lot for $56 a night… why not negotiate a preferred rate with public parking lot across the street rather than offer non-existen valetts?!?!
-$129 for a bag of 3 waters and 3 cokes ?

Clean, spacious room; subpar service
The room was clean and spacious, but I wasn't very impressed with the service at this hotel. I had booked a king bed room and was given a room with two double beds instead. When I checked in, I was told that the hotel charges an addition hotel fee on top of what I had already pre-paid through Hotels.com. I probably wouldn't book again, since they don't disclose all their fees at booking.

Nice but a little pricey
Nice room,clean, comfy. Friendly and efficient staff. I don’t stay in Chicago hotels very often, but this one seemed a little on the pricey side. I would stay here again, but shop around first to perhaps find a better deal at a comparable hotel in the vicinity.

One night in Chicago
We spent 2 hrs looking for the hotel, once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. On the downside, there were hidden fees & the parking garage was a block+ away, with a hefty $40 a night fee.

Only stay in this hotel if you're ready to deal with rude management, rooms that aren't exactly as advertised, and amenities that aren't actually amenities.
Here was my experience:
-My ID slid into a crack in the front desk. The staff couldn't figure out how to get it out. The manager told me that they'd have to "disassemble the desk to get it" and they wouldn't do that. The manager suggested I have someone overnight FedEx my passport and flat out refused to pay for it (even though they lost my ID). Thankfully, a resourceful maintenance worked retrieved it, but it was a terrible experience with truly no customer service or care.
-The AC in my room was not working and the temperature was 80 degrees. A maintenance worker came to fix it. It did not get fixed. I asked to switch to a new room. The front desk staff, instead displaying any modicum of customer service (e.g. "is everything ok? How can we help?"), asked rudely, "why do you need to do that?" even after I explained that my AC was broken and seemingly, couldn't be fixed. After two additional staff members came to figure out how to switch my room, I was switched to a new room with a broken sink.
-The place is called Hotel Audrey, but all advertisements call it the Chicago Hotel Collection, which was confusing
-As others have said, there is a seemingly nice breakfast spot in the lobby, but it was never open.
-Amenities were a bag with 3 sodas and a bottle of water.
-At least the beds were comfortable, I suppose.

Overall, I really liked the property and my stay there, as I was travelling with my child, I would've liked access to Netflix and other streaming platforms on the TV as was mentioned in the description, but didn't seem to be available. Although it was pretty quiet from room to room, it was quite loud when people were in the hallways. Overall though, I would definitely stay again! The room was clean, customer service was excellent and the location can't be beat!

The front desk receptionist was disappointing. She took very long and made additional charges that were not communicated previously. The hotel has no cleaning services unless you pay for them. All of these nuances should be made known prior to making reservations, especially additional hotel charges. Furthermore, the receptionist was not friendly and took long in the checkin process.

This was nice and clean. My only issue I had was that I reserved and paid for a room with two queen beds. I heard the guy at the reception area ask a cleaning lady if the queen bed room was available. I was pretty sure she said no but he went on to check us in. I assumed he had another room for us with queen beds. When we got to the room, we had 2 double beds. Not what I reserved. Not what I paid for. He didn't even tell me that we weren't getting queen size beds. I would have appreciated him telling me the facts and adjusting my bill and not just assume I was okay with it.

AVOID COVID DORM
This was a terrible Hotel. There is an additional $50 Resort fee for the business center, however all computers have been removed from that area. There is supposedly a gym but it's not open. You're given additional drinks, which are actually just generic water bottles. The room itself is the worst part. It's really dirty. I went to this hotel property feeling perfectly fine and I left with covid-19. I came to know that the property is being used as a dorm and housing for nurses. There are traveling nurses who are coming to staff the hospital for covid words and the property typically received 50 to 60 nurses a day. I picked this hotel because it was close to the Kellogg business school and I was traveling for work. While it is very conveniently located and was a short walk from where I needed to go the next day, I sincerely regret booking this hotel. I got covid-19 and I have never had it before. I've received all vaccinations and all boosters and I'm just really disappointed that coming here meant a covid infection starting 3 years into the pandemic. Do yourself a favor and stay a few blocks away.

Charged nearly double the amount that was quoted an additional $270 to check in on top of already paid $382 room had no music or Bluetooth and one tv didn’t work one tv remote didn’t work can’t access any channels without an access code that they won’t give you heat barely worked and only blows in the bedroom staff was rude and unprofessional unwilling to provide any assistance or empathy it was a cash grab with bare minimum amenities no ice as there was one ice machine for the entire building many more things not to like than to like $70 for parking and which they don’t even offer and recommend you to find somewhere else to park. Rude and I would never go here again and I want the world to know they are one of the worst hotel experiences I ever had .

We are in another place the last year and we need to do the Chek out, at 10:00 am here we can leave until 1:00 pm Was terrific, plus we get water and sodas when we arrive
Plus my husband found a free parking in the night until 11:00 am
Now we will be back to down town Chicago form another nigh sooner than before 😗

The room was basic for a 4-star hotel. The walls were thin and security was our first night to break up a fight and kick someone out and the second night there was a party down the hall everyone could hear. The hotel has been updated but still felt old and dingy.

The hotel itself was nice but they charge an additional $100 when you check in for incidental that they say you would get back when you check out. It’s been over a month and still have not gotten my $100 back. I called and left messages and no one’s called me to let me know why they haven’t reimbursed me.

Needed a place close to the hospital at the last minute and would have stayed almost anywhere due to circumstances but luckily found this place which I will put on the short list due to location, service, and overall accommodations. The rate was amazing due to a special they were running and offered without asking. 25 steps to Gino’s East pizza and around the block breakfast place next door to Ritz. Hopefully the bar and rooftop will be open in the summer which would be nice. The gym was more than adequate (maybe replace one treadmill with a stationary bike?) and 24 hour free coffee was a surprise. I’ll be back for a longer stay in the spring/ summer for sure.
