Having reserved a sweet, expected some separation between the bed and the couch. It was all one room and the bath was tiny. Probably use another chain next time I'm in Joplin next month

Best Western Stole My Money &Refused Me Service
I just wanted to inform the public of a flaw in the system. Due to ice and snow causing issues with traveling back and forth to work, I booked a 3 night hotel stay using this site/app. I drove from Carthage to Joplin Missouri to the Best Western Hotel Oasis located 3508 S. RANGELINE RD. I got to the office and I was refused the service that I had booked. I was told that they don't rent rooms to locals. I explained to her I lived in Carthage and worked in Joplin and I did not want to miss work. Roads were slick and dangerous. They refused to let me stay. I ended up sleeping in my car and almost freezing to death. I called other places but I had already paid them and didn't have anymore money. BEST WESTERN OASIS DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT CUSTOMERS, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN LEAVE YOU OUT IN THE COLD. 😡😡😡😡😡

Great location. Excellent staff. Wendy breakfast bar employee is awesome She was very welcoming and made sure our needs were meet. She is a major reason we stay here 5-6 times a year. Don’t lose her!

We drive a semi and our truck needed to be in the shop. Nichole was great and gave us the perfect room.

The room was OK. It seemed small. Not well lit; some lamps were not plugged in. Our only reason for stopping was to sleep but thought BW would be more comfortable.

Free breakfast was cold and didn’t meet safety standards for temperature of food…boyfriend got diarrhea …door on room was damaged…water filled up in shower because the thing that was supposed to let water out wasn’t working properly.

We’ve stayed at Best Western many times at different cities. But this one is re-established from a motel obviously so it is still smells and feels like a motel. Just not up to the expectation of a good Best Western hotel. Breakfast wasn’t bad though.

Old Motel with a Best Western Sign
Was planning on staying here for the evening, but unfortunately after waiting over 30 minutes to check in I decided it was not worth the wait. Booked online, and figured the room would be refunded once they saw that I never checked in. Wrong! They keep the money for the empty room. Talked to the GM trying to get a refund, she let me know that she could issue a refund but would not. Not friendly or understanding by any means, but professional. I guess when its not your money being spent, its easy not to care or be understanding. Glad I stayed in the La Quinta across town, looked better than the old motel with a best western sign on it. Notice there are no pictures of the side of the building where the rooms are. It looks strikingly like a motel when you see it in person... New paint and some fancy rock can only cover up so much.

Shower drain did not drain fast enough.
Small restroom and shower. The room needs touched up pretty badly. The bed is pretty comfy and the t.v. was good size.

I did get soaked the first time I turned on faucet in sink. There was no place to sit other than the beds which most Best Westerns have chair or couch. Other than that all was good.

Check in was no problem. Got our room everything seemed fine and clean. We left to go to the drag races and came back late to the a/c not working. I jumped the shower to no hot water. The sink next to the shower had plenty of hot water. We were to tired to call and have the room changed so we just went to sleep. We noticed in the morning the door to go outside had a large gap at the bottom. I would not want to stay there in the winter time. We also tried to get some ice but the machine was broken. We will not book this hotel next time.

Didn't even get to stay here. As nowhere does it state you must live more than 60 miles from the hotel to stay here. We live in Kansas and was going to a comedy and did not want to drive home afterwards. The hotel did not let us know ahead of time this was their rule and I now have to try to get a refund for 2 rooms I didn't even tet the option to use. The girl was rarher rude about their own rule and us not knowing it.

Cleaning staff walked in on us naked. Didn't knock or anything. Then stood there looking at us until I yelled at them twice. I've never had such an unprofessional experience in a hotel. And I'm 49! Hotel was clean and the room was nice. Staff needs extensive training though.

There were ants crawling in the sink next to the bathroom. We needed a ground floor room and were told sorry we had to take a second floor room. The facility was outdated.

Not safe for children
Didn’t feel safe. Parking was next to residential homes and the family suites were located far away and tucked away from the main entrance. Afraid to let my 16 year old get ice

I requested a ADA COMPLIANT room with shower chair or at least handles and was told that's what I would be receiving. I did not get that room. Big let down. Otherwise,y our stay was well. Front desk staff was very friendly.

Property is old, the room was small and cramped, lots of noises all night, horrible bed - very uncomfortable. Between the bed and the noises, neither of us got much sleep, resulting in back ache. Breakfast area very small and crowded.

Just so-so. Rooms were somewhat updated which was nice but ours was very dirty. Floors hadn’t been swept in awhile and my husband actually unrolled a washcloth that was still filthy. Our bed was in a platform with a metal frame built around it that was to big so anytime you moved the metal clanged quite loudly. Breakfast was good but it would be helpful to have high chairs available for little ones.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of this property. While initially it does not appear to be, it is in surprisingly good shape. The only complaints are the paper thin walls, and the breakfast that caused a severe case of food poisoning in my diabetic husband.

This hotel had what I needed. I would mention three things:
1) the hotel soaps were good but oddly there wasn't a hand soap per say...
2) on the first day of my stay I put the privacy thing on my door because I was there when they came by up clean... and then in the next three days they didn't come by to clean again, I guess. I'm sure I could have asked for it, though.
3) the walls are very thin. One night a man has a loud phone conversation nextdoor from about 11:30-1:15 and I heard most words. I mentioned this to the staff my last morning and they said to let them know next time so they could deal with it!

A very basic motel style property- all access from outside doors. Modernized but on the cheap, with some wear and tear. It was expensive for the standard of accommodation compared with two BW pluses we have stayed at recently. We did not stay for breakfast but the eating area looked tiny. It was convenient.

You really have to watch were to turn into the hotel as it is on a busy highway. Also, there are a lot of hotels and businesses grouped together. The staff was very cordial.

Reasonable price for a 2 night stay
We traveled to Joplin for a 2-night stay for my husband's class reunion. The BW Oasis provided a room that met our needs for a reasonable price. We had a room on the ground floor with easy access to parking.
Other than the clothing hangar (a wall bracket) that was not adequately secured, everything worked well. There was some light leak around the window, but not too bad.

This property is fantastic and should not be overlooked by travelers. The outside of the building might look a bit dated, but the updates in the rooms are outstanding. We stayed in a lovely room with a king-size bed and futon for my son, which he loved. All of the amenities were on point. The staff was so friendly. And the included breakfast was top-notch. If we ever need to travel through Joplin again, we will be staying here.
