Comfortable with an exciting view
This hotel has been through a lot, and it wears its scars with pride. However, I love staying here off season because it has a classic feel and the beach is literally right outside the sliding doors in my room. The beach facing rooms had been renovated since I last stayed, probably because they got damaged in a big storm. They were much nicer. The bed was so comfortable! Everything seemed clean and serviceable. I got the best sleep! The stairs to the 2nd floor (no elevator) are steep and hurt my knees. Lounge is under renovation, and it appears there was no breakfast or coffee available. Very nice stay!

One big dirty frat house. we left and did not stay after finding drunks outside our room on balcony at 3pm check in and the room was dirty and mold in showers. Staff seemed to care less. Disappointed.

Awful!
Do not stay here! They are tearing it down in less than a week. It is dangerous, dirty, and sketchy. No amenities, pool is closed, construction and dirt everywhere. Dark and unlit hallways. We couldn't stay, had to leave because it was so bad. Try your luck elsewhere!

Room colors are old. Bathroom upgrades unfinished, No exhaust in the bathroom. We stayed in in 227 and we could hear everything was happening upstairs and outside our room. Upstairs top of our room it sounded like they were moving furniture, and pulling rolling wheeled suitcases and did not stop until 12am. Outside travelers were arriving. For the price it should be a more pleasant experience.

Indoor pool not open as claimed in listing
The listing claimed that the hotel had an indoor pool. When we arrived we were informed the pool was closed for repairs. The pool was the primary reason I selected the hotel and the listing was misleading.
The listing also claimed a bar, restaurant and lounge area but they were closed as well.
Not an honest listing.

This is an older place that looks like it’s in transition. The rooms were semi updated. However, the restaurant was closed. The rooms did not have in room coffee. The outlet in the bathroom for the hairdryer was so far away from sink and mirror you couldn’t use the dryer and see what you were doing. No screens on windows. I think they need to invest a bit more into this facility, because the location and the scenery were nice.

The staff was very unfriendly at check in. The room had flies inside, mosquitoes, beetles and other insects. Though the bathroom was renovated, they apparently do not know how to remove mildew, so the bathroom looked disgusting. I showered with flip flops because I did not want my feet to touch the bathroom floor or anything else. At least the bedding and mini fridge seemed clean. The area was loud, with people up all night until 3 am and people smoking outside. I would never return here again because it was so dirty, and infested with bugs and flies.

It was an ok place to stay for what i was looking for. The rooms are basic, small, clean, but not modern, which really didnt bother me, we had an ocean view room and easy access to the beach. There was also a basic breakfast offered, coffee, juice, cereal, pastries bagels, etc. It was ok. As far as quietness goes, we had a corner room with no one above us or next to us, so we lucked out with that. I'd probably stay there again, and recommend it if you're looking for a no frills cheap option for a beach spot.

The hotel sits on Plymouth, MA bay, and the view is wonderful, The most striking thing about the hotel was the overall quietness of a busy beach hotel in the middle of summer. The management asks that you respect your fellow guest, and the guest did. They have also added a typical serve yourself breakfast service, which was a pleasant surprise. I would definately stay there again.

We had an Ocean view room but I would recommend that they wash the windows. They look like they have never been washed and you can’t even open them. The view was nice if you look through the bugs, dirt and grime.

Pleasant Stay
The setting was lovely. A nice veranda overlooking the ocean with various types of seating. Continental breakfast was good though I would have liked a better selection of fruit.
The sleeping area and bathroom were clean and comfortable but towels were a bit scratchy.
Staff was very helpful and friendly.

This hotel is nothing like the pictures and the rooms are a disgrace and need some serious up-keep. They have rotary phones in the rooms and I had a “suite” with a kitchen…was awful to say the least

Cute room by the beach. Outside of the room is a little grungier, but the room and bed was clean and comfortable with a great view of the private beach. Watch the last step as you go down to the beach! Recommend you hold the rail until your feet hit sand.

The entire hotel/motel was rented to 2 different lacross teams of 12 or 13 year old girls. While they bounced around in and out of the rooms, their parents and other family members gathered outside our room drinking. No other rooms were available, so we left at 7 PM. Management would not refund anything and blamed it on expedia. I will never go back there again and it remains to be seen whether or not i use expedia again.

Great for families. The private beach was super convenient, and the indoor and outdoor pools were great. Breakfast in the morning was also helpful in getting us ready quickly and we got to enioy breakfast and our dinner on the deck overlooking the ocean! The hotel is quiet in the evenings and felt safe which is nice for little ones. Very convenient driving to all the attractions.

Do not stay here. What used to be an average motel on the beach is now a filthy, dirty, bed bug ridden motel. Our feet/ socks were filthy just from the floor. Our bed was not changed from previous guest and we had sand and bed bugs. The staff did nothing despite our voiced concerns. There is no dining, no bar-and the guest….. it was like an episode of Jerry springer. Ohhh and if you don’t smoke- beware. Everyone smoke here. Its nasty. Never ever again will I stay here. I needed a shower once home to get the “ ick” off. So sad and shameful.

I asked if there was a down stairs room available they said no even though I told them my travel companion was handicapped and on oxygen. There was a dog biscuit on the floor when we got in our room even though they had signs everywhere no pets. When I booked it said it had restaurant on site and they just said sorry we’ll have one soon, if I had known I would have stayed in town where we would have had a place to relax after a day of sightseeing and have a bite to eat. After talking to others at the hotel they were shocked we were made to go up stairs with our disabilities, they said it was illegal in Massachusetts. I stayed there last year, that’s why we booked this year. The old owner seemed to do a100%better job. Also the towels were supposed to be white but we’re a dirty gray. There were so many things wrong this time I would never recommend it to anyone!

The property did not resemble the website advertising at all!! They said they had a restaurant and bar on premises, but they were closed for several weeks even before we arrived, and they had no idea when they might reopen. Rooms were old and outdated. The pools did not look anything like what showed on their website. The property needed much work and was run down. The staff was super unfriendly!! They offered a very limited continental breakfast when the advertising said breakfast was included. The area where the continental breakfast was served was always dirty. Never saw any staff cleaning it or restocking each day we sat in the eating area. I asked for a refund for one night of our stay (we stayed 3) as compensation for all the inconveniences and was told by Nav at the front desk that the owner would get back to me within 48 hrs., but I never heard a thing from them. Extremely disappointed. Always loved staying here in the past!!

It was very run down, the lock on the window didn’t work ans people were walking right by it at night in an area fenced off where no one should be walking. The floors had dust bunnies, the fridge was rusty and the tub was old and the shower head had leaks that sprayed all over. The bar in was closed, which was a big selling point . Morning breakfast was a joke, the waffle maker didn’t cook the waffles all the way thru and the juice was water. One tiny trash for the entire dining room.

Poor customer service, needs updating
We had an issue with the tv not working. After going to the front desk 3 times in 2 hours, getting a different story from the receptionist every time, asking for another room, they finally sent a tech to fix the tv. The room is very dated. We found the window open with no screen when we arrived. We would not recommend this hotel.

The floor was dirty. The room was really damp and musty. The A/C didn’t do anything to dry it out or cool. And it shook the whole room when you turned the fan on high.
Bar and restaurant was closed.
The front desk attendant started vacuuming right next to us when we tried to eat the sad continental breakfast. We won’t be coming back.

Looked ok when I first checked in, but went downhill from there. Restaurant and bar were closed with no explanation. Room was ok, until neighbor came in at midnight and partied until 5am. No sleep. No way to contact management.

1. Picture that was posted for the room had a balcony and I did not. Please make sure the pics reflect what you’re advertising 🙄.
2.Windows of ocean view definitely needs to be cleaned, very disappointed had to keep shades closed soooo gross to view. Tried to change room but they were full.
3. No food or drink at pool or pay fine. Not even water. Crazy, never been to a place where you are not allowed to hydrate especially sitting in a hot tub.
4. Went with other couple, their room was as expected-great view and as advertised.
5. Was expecting restaurant to be open, but unfortunately they were closed due to a sudden emergency-they did post on their Facebook page, but hotel did not update guests, as we would of gotten food and drinks before arriving to hotel. Oh well things happen 😉

The property was clean and well kept. My kids had a fantastic time at both the indoor and outdoor pools. There was even a band on Saturday night, that wasn’t too loud to affect my little sleepers. The breakfast was lackluster, but sufficient. The location near the beach was first rate. Most of all the owner, was kind, hospitable and able to help with all of our concerns. He even helped me inflate my tires.

It wasn’t a bad place to stay, and the view of the ocean and the sounds of the waves were spectacular. But, it also didn’t quite match up with the images on the site when I was booking the room.
There were a lot of little things that clearly needed some work or renovation in there.
It accomplished its job, but it wasn’t what I was led to expect, so it just gets a generally average rating from me.

Checking manager behind glass and gave no info on amenities. Room was out dated and dust coated. Curtains had tears in them. Toiletries were poor quality and too tiny for two ppl. Didn't get the room I paid for. Was suppose to be Oceanview, but was parking lot/bay view. We missed continental breakfast due to lack of check info.

Interior was very dated and rather drab. It was a sufficient place to stay. My grandkids enjoyed the pool. Thank God the way too loud music in the lounge stopped at 9:30 p.m. I think everyone sitting in there was already half deaf, maybe that's why the band played so loud.

I stayed last year in the big suite with family. This time I went solo and got a king room. The view were awesome, the bed was like sleeping on a big cuddly marshmallow. Will go back again

This place was awful, where do I start. The first room we were given was not the one I had paid for. When I went back to the desk to ask why, I was told they don't guarantee rooms not booked through the hotel. That should have been clue #1. We were able to switch rooms but we might have been better off staying with the first because this 2nd one was terrible. One of the drawers in the bureau and one in the nightstand would not stay shut, we had to wedge pieces of paper in them to keep them closed. We couldn't enjoy our balcony because our next door neighbors, who we shared a balcony with and looked like drug addicts, were out there smoking. Like another reviewer said, I'm thinking they rent rooms to homeless people. We also got woken up from 2:00am to 3:00am by them hanging on the balcony and talking loudly. And even if we could hang on the balcony, the plexiglass out there was dirty and disgusting. The stations on the TV all came in blurry making it hard to watch. The refrigerator's humming all night was almost as loud as our neighbors. The two sets of stairs we used were dirty and gross and looked like they hadn't been cleaned ever. The continental breakfast was a joke. I don't have anything good to say about this place, and I'm not sure how anyone can give it a good rating.

Disgusted! Only good thing was the view that you couldn’t see out the filthy slider. Bedspread blanket from the 70s that hadn’t been washed since then. Pot hole filled parking lot with meth heads hanging around on benches. Filthy hallways and stairs. No maid service yet male maid walked in WITHOUT knocking while we were getting dressed and said “checking out?” On our first miserable morning of 3. This place should be condemned

We have stayed here numerous times before and have always enjoyed it however this time the manager decided it was acceptable to keep banging on our door for check out 5 minutes before check out time. It was so intrusive that I had to open the door and tell him to leave us alone so we could finish getting ready to leave. He was not apologetic at all.

Didn’t get a room we were suppose too as described. Have pics of the sheets all stained and dirty. Room stunk like stale cigarettes. Tried to crack the window however it was completely filled with dead bugs.

We had a group visiting for a friend’s birthday party. We used all of the facilities including the pool, hot tub, bar and breakfast. They offered make your own waffles which were delicious since it is a continental breakfast. We will definitely go back.

The room was dingy and patio was dirty. Had water "view" through dirty plexiglass. Covid precautions not in place as advertised, so couldn't stay with my compromised immune system. Hallways had not been vacuumed for a long time. It was just a dirty place in disrepair.

The room had a broken sliding door that was slightly open to a draft outside. The tv had no reception. The show had no mechanism working to switch from bath to shower. I informed the man at the desk after my first day and he said he’d talk to maintenance. I never saw them and had to shower elsewhere. In addition they had a very loud band right at the bottom of the stairs where my room was. It’s all I could hear until 10pm. I’ve stayed in nicer hostels.

I checked in with my two young children and stayed for about 30 minutes before leaving for a different hotel. Loud noise, no working tv in the room. Saw a mouse run across the floor and that was enough. I want a refund for this room ASAP please.

The view is spectacular. The beach looked clean and inviting. Location for tourist attractions good. The price was very good. The room and bath, indoor pool, front desk, were very clean, but near the morning coffee bar you could see behind/under the bar you could sit at. The floor was filthy, dirty rags, a stack of menus, and other unsightly debris. I wouldn't want to touch the menus and then eat. Broken furniture in common area. Entry door glass dirty. The exterior pool area has peeling paint, driveway needs work. Wifi worked well. Breakfast adequate. For the price the property served its purpose

We only stayed one night and we arrived around 9:30 or 10:00 pm, we entered the room and it was freezing, we turned on the heating and it took more than 3 hours for it to fully heat up, it was a long and cold wait, if i could give it a rating it would be a 4/10. It does not seem right to me that the client comes to rest and sleep in a cold room.

The property was not well kept. Heat took a long time to get warm and had a fishish smell when on. Pool was very small with wide window at front desk. No breakfast although it says free breakfast. TV had very basic cable with no HD. Signs evey threatening fines for verging infractions.

The room was clean, decorations are very dated, towels are borderline 80 grit sandpaper. The owners, Shareen & Derek, are very courteous and likable and put on several events to spice up the evenings.

If not the most polished place to stay, it was clean and looked like a lovely beach hotel. We were there for the cooler weather at Thanksgiving. A beautiful beach and friendly stay for us. Bed was comfy and the view of the bay, beautiful.

A dated but clean property. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The continental breakfast was the only disappointment. We went to breakfast about 7:30am, not late. There were a few options, stale bagels or toast or cereal. None looked appetizing. Considering the amount of cars in the parking lot, there was not enough food for all the guests by a long shot. We would still return as the location was great and the price reasonable.

America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration
The room was affordable, clean (crispy white bedsheets and towels, dust and debris free) and comfortable. I especially liked that there was no carpet (no carpet in the room means no funky smells). The double pane windows kept the cold out (we visited a week before Thanksgiving). The view of the water was amazing. Includes free parking and breakfast. Definitely recommend if you're in town.

Nice place for a peaceful getaway
I found the hotel to be a nice place for a little fall getaway. The room was nothing fancy but clean and the bed quite comfortable. Handy to have a little frig and micro. My favorite thing was that it was right on the ocean and the beach close by for walking. The dinner I got at the restaurant was quite good as well! I will stay there again!

Pro is the view. Stunning. Crackhead with ipen sores all over her face and body wandering. No locks on any doors entering. Loudest place we have ever stayed at. The most noise coming from employees and their children on the third floor that doesn't officially exist. People on one side drunk and fighting til 3am. The other side people smoking pot directly in front of our outside door so wecouldnt have the sliding door open and they also came prepared with a amp speaker tostream their phone .... lovely. Oh and the live band that shook the floors. This is NOT a hotel. It is a motel. The room was ok. Holes in the carpet and burn holes in the comforter. Mold on the bathroom ceiling and a shower that was so old I've never even seen it before....and I am not young. If you are a partier this place is for you. If you want peace and safety and quiet it is not.
