The hotel room was certainly not a non smoking room . The hallways smelled awful and I had to air out the room when we arrived. Late evening early morning we had people screaming outside. The come to the second floor floor where we were screaming and threatening staff . The person prior to that was trying to open my hotel room door along with others. When I spoke to the staff about it in the morning all that they said was sorry and didn't offer anything else. I most certainly will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Decent hotel
Very small room but decent for l the price and they allow animals which is awesome customer service people in the office are very very nice . had a couple lights that were out in room and bed had a stain on it but besides that pretty decent for the price like I said.

The room was dirty!! There were roaches in the room… Disgusting!! Drug deals going on in the parking lot but the 2 guys that worked there were very nice and friendly!! There’s a red roof plus a couple miles up the road that was way better!!

Get what you pay for
The front desk clerk was nice. The maid was very rude and unfriendly. The rooms cleanliness was satisfactory, with the exception of the roaches. And there were homeless people staying in the parking lot along with people hanging around the dumpster behins the hotel. Very uncomfortable place to stay

Room was dirty, very poor cleaning, no soap or shampoo. No toliet paper holder, shower/tub was extremely slippery, no mat.

Minor issues
A/C unit was very load. Also watching TV, the mattress kept sliding down. We had to keep pushing it up several times. Also no cell service or internet on my phone. Wi-Fi was available. Room was remodeled and clean.

dirty towels and uncomfortable beds
1st of all I asked for 2 more clean towels and the guy at the front desk handed me 2 towels and when I went to take my shower i am glad that I opened them because there was black stains all over the towels and they were dirty and smelled dirty. The bed sits on a wood box and the bottom half falls right over the edge. made for a very uncomfortable sleep. then at 3:30am in the morning someone knocked on my door for like 30 minutes and when i looked outside about 10 minutes later they were outside in the parking lot shooting up with needles. so my stay was not very pleasant at all. also the front desk looks nothing like what the picture shows online

Upstairs noise till late, midnight. Terrible bed. Dirty floor. Shower was fairly decent. No thank you at office counter. Clerk with no personality. Too expressive for what we got. Wouldn’t stay again.

It was gross didn't even stay there went in saw the room and left said had pool was no pool and the lock on the door wouldn't lock so we couldn't keep our toddler from getting out of the door so we left and drive the last 5 hours to our destination

Very small rooms. I was there 7 nights and never once had housekeeping come to my room. I had to go to the front desk and exchange my towels for clean ones every time. Dirty. Smells like weed and cigarette smoke in the stairwells and hallways. The mattress slides off the frame of the bed.

Moved me 3 different rooms and put me in a smoking room after I purchased a non smoking. Staff is rude especially the lady maid who complains about doing her job. I’d ask for room service and it never came. Staff is rude except for owners wife is a wonderful person.

Convenient to Interstate. Clean room.Parking at door. Friendly staff person at check-in. Could have a small coffee maker in room.Luckily I brought mine.Had a handicap accessible room. Very nice.

the room requested was a non-smoking room. upon entering the room, there were cigarette ashes on the ground, dirt piles around the room, dirty sheets and a brown substance on the ceiling.

The motel did not have my prepaid Expedia reservation in their system and the clerk had to bring in the manager to find my reservation. The room I was given was a room connected to another room - and the noise from the side and connected rooms was constant - I slept little and left at 6:00 AM just to get away from the constant banging around and rapping noises.

We arrived late, and on of the rooms on our reservation had not been touched by a maid. Beds weren’t made and bedding, pillows, and trash were on the floor. We had to get a different room, and we were all tired from getting in so late.

My 1st room didn't have working heat. Was transferred to a new room, but it didn't have towels or shower curtain. The WiFi only has the newer type channels, and won't work on older computers.

only had 2 bath towels, 1 washcloth and no hand towels. Both bath towels and holes in them and were stained permanately. no real impressed. Lady at front desk was okay but had a little trouble finding my reservation. Possibly some more training might help her with her customer service skills.

Bring your own coffee pot
Requested a NON-smoking room but room smelled of smoke and there was an ASHTRAY inside the room!
Also, would have appreciated atleast a COFFEE POT in the room! We thought the office would have coffee for its travelers but the doors were locked and no one was around! We had to drop our room keys in the outside key box. Luckily there is a Waffle House restaurant at the corner.

The rooms had slightly modern decor and with paper thin walls and roof. You can hear people talking in the rooms next to you or walking above you. The front clerks are rude and argumentative when there are issues with checking in. Plus, the hotel attracts questionable residents that make you want to stay in your room. The one positive thing about the motel is that it resides in a semi-quiet area of Statesville.

We didn't use the shower because it was dirty. The pillows were very thin. We couldn't sleep because the room above us was very noisy all night !!! We left at 3:45am because we couldn't take it anymore!!!!

Awful customer service!!
I scheduled this night because I was working 11-7 and we were headed to Charlotte the next morning. I didn’t want to travel an hour home and back losing sleep and time. I booked and put one person because my husband was going to be sleeping while I worked. I failed to add his name. My bad. When we got there the owner/mgr whatever he was was a total jerk. He wouldn’t let us check in. So I called and changed it to add my husband’s name as well and to 2 persons. Taking 2 calls to complete and eating time I needed to not be late to work. When it was all settled and we did as he asked, he told my husband who would be without a car that he could wait outside for an hour to be sure I wasn’t staying and then he would check him in. Of course I wasn’t going to leave my husband and hope this man would be a person of his word. He’d already proven he wasn’t and 2 people were now added to please him. Don’t know what his problem was but I will never stay at another Motel 6 and I would suggest removing this hotel from your options unless you like your users to be treated like second rate citizens.

I found this property to be in poor repair. Cord to plug in refrigerator had an extension cord that ran across the desk, over top of refrigerator and plugged in the wall. Definitely needs quite a few upgrades!

When I went in the room the toilet had not even been flushed, let alone cleaned. The door to the room was filthy. The ice machine looked like it was from a junkyard and was filthy. The location of the motel had me worried all night about my car. Coffee was only available in the morning in the lobby.

The hotel is far enough away from the I77 that you don't hear the traffic. The building itself is ready for a major update. The hallway smelled of smoke and the carpets were filthy. The room was clean and tidy, comfortable beds. The maintenance personnel need a course on proper ways to fix things, a round toilet seat on an elongated toilet bowl is wrong and caulking around the toilet base is also a no no.
The price was right for our stay overnight and will likely stay on our return to the north, we are only there for a sleep and then gone before the office opens in the morning.

When I checked it, they told me I had two reservations for some reason. Gonna have to check my credit card to make sure they didn't charge me for two rooms. Then they tried to put me in a smoking room even though my reservation was for non smoking. The hotel was pretty disappointing. No breakfast, no coffee in room, no air in rooms. If it was summer I would have died from heat stroke. And why do they have the tv's mounted almost way up at the ceiling. Very awkward. With the paper thin walls you can hear everything from the rooms next to yours. Will not be back.
