My parents stayed here for 4 nights at Christmas and they were very happy with everything. They especially loved the breakfasts! One of the best breakfast bar's they could remember! The room and bed were comfortable as well.

The room's thermostat was easy to adjust. The room was warm (on a cold day in January) when we arrived. Staff was nice. This was about 2.5 miles from the EagleBank Arena where we were attending an event. Easy drive. LOTS of eating places along the highway.

Good service not clean
Good service, the hotel is dated. It’s unclean there was mold on the curtain. And my son opened up the drawer almost touched an old band aid that was left.

Location was ok for my need and the breakfast was adequate. But the hotel has no elevators. The rooms get noisy from the outside cleaning people pushing carts through the pavement. Ironing board was broken. Very cheap quality blanket provided, no comforters. Not worth the price.

Great Stay!
We had a great stay. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional. The room was clean and everything functioned as one would expect. The breakfast bar was delicious. I definitely recommend the Best Western in Fairfax, VA for anyone needing accommodations in that area.

The building and furnishings are old. Ran out of toilet paper and there were no back up rolls in my room. It was convenient to my travel plans and adequate for rest.

One of the grossest best westerns I’ve ever stayed at. Floor was wet when we walked, and was wet our whole stay. AC barely worked and the lights on the AC didn’t light up so we had to guess the heat. The tables were sticky and the breakfast was really bad. Some people were nice, but some were really mean, and it was really jarring seeing really how polarizing management was. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever been in and I do a LOT of traveling. Would never recommend this place to someone and I hope the nice workers there are either given and raise or find a new best western to work at, because this place didn’t deserve people like them. 1/5 stars only because of the few great people there.

Although the property is “dated,” re-do of the bathroom modernizes that area well. Linens & towels were clean, but not top quality. Breakfast area has been modernized & is large enough to accommodate the number of guests. Breakfast is the standard hotel “free breakfast” fare. The location, close to our daughter’s home, & the very reasonable cost is what prompted us to choose this hotel.

i thought the location and establishment were lovely. it was my first visit to the area and i loved the scenery of the changing seasons. while i was there, i shopped at the Amazon fresh grocery store, which was another first time experience for me. and the burger joint in the same area was amazing. but back to the property: the accomodations were outstanding.

It is an older building remodeled nicely in a lot of areas. It was very clean. The no elevator is a challenge. I am a senior citizen with some mobility challenges so no elevator would keep me form returning there. It was a good deal and served our purposes. The lady in the breakfast room was extra nice and very helpful. Thank you to her.

The check in process took less than 5 minutes and the front desk staff was friendly and courteous. There was plenty of parking convenient to the entrance. Unfortunately, I can hear my neighbors t.v. and crying baby as if they were just in the bathroom. Also, the walkway to my room had multiple areas patched with cement, so didn’t make me feel particularly safe.

Not best for me.
Everyday have been waking up by cleanning crew moving their carts on balcony .
At front desk Asked for a quite room they say my room is quite Stayed for 5 nights .
Very painful to hear next store slamming doors in and out and person above Taking showers and walking heavily. I can hear every step.
Room very steamy . Only option to went out is to open door . It brought some bugs to the room.
All together not a great experience . If it is only one day stay probably will be Unnoticeable
But for few nights not great.
Will not be back .

Checking in (and out ) was a breeze, found our room and settled in quickly. It was nice and quiet at night- Shower was amazing after a long , cold day in the rain on Saturday. Loved how close hotel is to GMU. Only glitch is the crazy exit from parking lot- but we manuevered it ok after a couple trips in and out. We will definately stay here again when visiting our child at GMU!

The room was well equipped with everything you would need. The bed was very comfortable. There was a microwave and a small fridge. The key was very easy to use to open the door. The lighting was good. There were useful toiletries available. Parking was very easy. Breakfast was very good—better than many hotels I have tried. The property is attractive and I enjoyed my stay.

Initially things were good. Visiting daughter at George Mason. Day one things looked clean. Daughter came and stayed for few hours. Went back to dorm. Day 2 went to put water in fridge and mold under fridge. Staff came and we moved fridge and someone must have spilled something and it was never cleaned up. Again daughter came and hung out for few hours. Went back to dorm. Day three I wake up and see tiny black specks crawling on covers and pillow. Further investigation I find a few adult larvae under sham. Inform front desk and they move me to different room. Spent third day at laundromat washing all my daughter’s clothes, sheets, and pillows in hot water and dried on high setting of dryer. Packed my clothes in plastic garbage bag and will wash immediately when I get home. Not sure how bedbug problem was solved but I went to check and it looked like the room was occupied because lights were on around 7:30 and turned off when I took daughter back to dorm around 11PM.

This hotel is a good place for what we use it for. We stay while visiting our daughter so we don't spend much time in the room. It is close to where we go, breakfast is nice and staff members are friendly. The rooms and condition of property could use some updates but everything is satisfactory.

Ours was a family visit so our hotel was just a place to sleep. Our room was nice and comfortable. I have to mention the sweet lady who serves breakfast every morning. She is so very attentive and takes care of us all. I am bad with names so I apologize for not calling her by name.

Last time we stayed here, 4 years ago, I had the same issues. Not clean (the cheerios that were on the hall carpet when I checked in were there when I checked out two days later). A/c doesn’t really work and even though we cranked it to 62 the room was hot & humid. Overnight staff seemed very bothered that I interrupted his phone time (with headphones in) to ask for a towel for the gym. Gym equipment needs to be updated—elliptical squeaks like a crazy. Overall the price was ok but please take better care to clean and keep up with maintenance.

The heater in our room was not working. We called the front desk. A gentlemen was at our room in less than a minute. He realized immediately that it was not working. He gave us a new, cleaned room two doors away. Everthing worked in the second room.

Discovered at check in there were not any elevators. Room was on 3rd floor but front desk was very helpful & moved us to 1st floor room without any attitude. Breakfast buffet was good but eggs were cold both days.

Great location and breakfast!
Great stay. Rooms a bit musty smelling but clean. I think it was the high humidity during that time. Breakfast was amazing- scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, cooked oatmeal, cereal selection, yogurt, sealed fruit cups, peanut butter, jam, cream cheese, hot sauce, ketchup, waffle station, bread and sweets. Coffee machine with different types, juices. All you could ask for!
20 minutes to Capitol Hill. Clean outdoor pool.

In a five day stay, our room was cleaned ONCE! I know there are staffing shortages, but we had get toilet paper, toiletries, and put our overflowing trash outside (we tied the bag and used one of our own in the trash can)!
All they had staff do was prepare rooms for new guests.
We will not be back.

The room is clean and comfortable, the outdoor swimming pool with a life guard, and the breakfast is good. The location is just off the high way, but a bit far for driving to DC. The last day an hour before check out, all the lights went out in the room, we had to pack in darkness. (We were laughing that the hotel is telling us time to go!) Overall, a great hotel for the price!

Property is well priced for the area. While the rest of the room was a little dated, the bathroom (toilet/shower area) had been redone and was really nice. This is a hotel where the rooms open to the outside (parking lot or poolside). Getting in and out of the parking lot can at times be a little tricky as it is a well trafficed area, but that also means it is convient to the area. Good selection of food for breakfast. We didn't use it but the pool is a nice size and would be great for families. Overall, good experience and value. We would stay here again if in the area.
