It worked for what we needed.
Overall, it was ok. The room was spacious, beds were nice. Bathroom definitely needed updating. The pool was nice. Breakfast wasn’t bad. I would say somewhere between 3.5-4 star rating. Would stay there again in a pinch, but there are better options.

I read some reviews that had me expecting the worse, but everything was clean and orderly. The lobby was sparse but clean and had a Christmas tree up. Our room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was sanitary. Breakfast was adequate, fresh and hot. I'll stay again since I like being close to shopping and restaurants.

Very attentive representative at the front desk when we arrived. Gave us information about the hotel, area, restaurants, etc. Offered help with anything we needed.
Room was clean, pleasant, updated, smell good. We were able to relax and enjoy our stay.
All staff we came in contact with, including cleaning personnel, were pleasant and attentive. Will definitely use again when we come to this area.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, towels were plentiful. Full breakfast every morning, fresh coffee all day and a heated indoor pool. I cannot find anything I didn't like. This is my go to hotel.

I enjoyed the beds. The shower was so hot the best I've had in a very long time pressure was great. The breakfast was lots of options as well. Great value.

Not so good. Disappointed in cleaniness of tub and towels were damp. Had to request for cleaning of the room. Decor is outdated and rugs have a odor. Inside fan from air conditioner needs cleaned out.

The only thing I didn't like was my forgetting my dog's food and water bucket. Totally my fault, I didn't discover my error until far along the trip to Tallahassee. The employees were super helpful and filled in all my questions with excellent suggestions and information.

I got in a 4:00 AM, and the person at the front desk figured out how to get my Expedia reservation to work. The room was clean and comfortable, and the towels were softer than many hotels in this class. All around it was a perfect place for four or five hours as I couldn’t drive any further!

This is another hotel that was convenient to our route. The breakfast was great with very pleasant attendants. Pool was nice. It was heated as was the pool room, making it nice to get out of the water.

Great bang for buck

The hotel and the accomodations were good; however, when I went to check in the clerk told me I could not check in because I lived less than 50 miles away. I explained I had stayed there before but she had to call the manager before she would let me check in. I will choose another hotel in the future.

When I stay at most hotels my biggest gripe is there’s no comfortable place to sit in the room. This was the first place to have a really nice leather reclining chair in the room. It was a welcomed amenity.

If this is a three star property, then standards have fallen hard. Everything about this place is old and shabby. Some guy was sitting in the parking lot all evening in a battered car. Two of the 4 lamps in our room don't work, even when we plugged them into two of the functioning outlets. When I asked the one and only person on duty if she had extra lightbulbs, she said that they lock everything up at night. I would never stay here again even if you paid me to do so.

I enjoyed my stay. My pet room was clean. Towels were clean - but old and no longer white white. The room smelled a little like pets - but I was thankful to have a place for my dog and I to stay that was safe and on our route.

My bath room faucet was non functional i was given another room to shower with a time limit up to 1am then manager on duty changed it for the rest of the night. He was initially reluctant to do this.
To me it was an easy decision should be given without hesitation he also mention maintenance will take a look in am. Not impress!

Nice but needs a little work
Older property needs a little maintenance. My toilet ran every 30 min, sink faucet dripped, carpet was dirty & smelly. Dog barking in next room. Staff was very nice, especially the desk attendants at check in & check out.

I was not happy that the microwave and refrigerator were gone. That is one of the reasons I stayed there. My granddaughter and I love to reheat our food and keep our drinks cold. I may have to find another place that has these.

TV remote didn't work first 2 days but finally got one to work on the last night. The gym treadmill needs to be replaced. It's on an incline that i could not level out. These are minor inconveniences but still an annoyance. Breakfast area is small but food was good. Plenty of parking and nice to see the charging spots.

It was close to the Comfort Inn, which was where the other part of our group was located. At the hotel entrance a lage Best Western sign should be present, instead of a small one only being on the door glass .

There was no restaurant/bar on site as stated on your website. No hot water all 3 of us had to take a cold shower not very happy asked employees about issues and if it would be fixed they said a manager is not available on weekends that we will have to call Monday to speak with them very disappointed in this hotel!

We like the price. HAve stayed here 15 times or so.
1. First room no heat, so had to pack up and move.
2. Room: smelled, had been smoked in sometime. Also had to screw the toilet seat on as it was left a whole inch short of snug.
3. staff did their best. Cordial and apologetic.

This hotel is a perfect place to stay if you are shopping locally or transiting through. The kids who are guests here are loving the pool.
We drove all day and wanted to get out for a walk. So we walked around the perimeter of the big shopping mall. And we wanted to walk to dinner, and there is a sidewalk from the hotel to the TGI Fridays and the Chinese Buffet. But - and this is a really small 'but' - the hotels in the area should all lobby the city to add more sidewalks and maybe walking trails in the area. On the other hand, maybe they have other priorities, which is understandable with current challenges.

The main reason we booked this hotel was for the hot breakfast that was advertised. Nobody was there to cook hot breakfast so it was a wasted trip to this hotel. The night audit said he couldn't discount anything because we booked through expedia....

Without hot breakfast for Christmas day &day after
We choose to stay at this Best Western during the Christmas holiday for three days for visiting families. The continental breakfast was included in hotel payment. The front desk person told us the hotel WAS NOT going to provide hot breakfast on Christmas day. There were families with children and elderly people without hot breakfast on Christmas day. The day after Christmas DIDN'T provide hot breakfast either due to worker not showing up at work. Where was the Manager or person in charge for this hotel? How could you treated people like this during the holiday staying? Two of three days staying without hot breakfast. We were very disappointed.

I came for a family gather as I came back to the hotel there was a birthday party going on with young kids, the kids started to knock on doors running up and down the hallway, I called the front desk to let the know, I didn’t get rest I was going to leave, I had to drive the next day to a patient for my job and I had to deal with children knocking and playing was very unacceptable. So I will not if I can help it stay here again. I’m sorry you have good staff but that was to much and very unsafe. For what’s going in the world now my safety is everything

Standard property. A little run down, rooms are dingy and can use a good cleaning. Pool too needs a renovation- pool chair is starting to rust. Area is fine and convenient to the airport and blue ridge parkway.

Whomever was working the desk late night seemed to be stuck in place in a way that could only be derived from heavy drug use. I waited 25 mins to check in aa she fumbled the process and when the keys she finally gave me didn’t work on the door, she was no where to be found for over half an hour. It made for a late and frustrating checkin.

Pet friendly room
The staff for Hotels.com and Best Western Plus of Roanoke, were so accommodating and friendly. They were very cordial and welcoming. The pet friendly room was reasonable clean with some damage to a small part of wall and bathroom door due to people locking dogs in there. The carpet was a little less clean than anticipated, pet hair against the wall where the vacuum couldnt easily reach. Beds were clean and very comfortable.the room was a bargain for a 1 night stop over when picking up a pup. I am unsure of the condition of The upper floors and non pet rooms. They did not charge an additional fee for the pup. Kennels being mandatory or no pets left in rooms unattended may help. The hotel is very dated. It really needs remodel and update. Remove all carpet!

The wi-fi was extremely slow which made it difficult to complete our online work. The smoke detector had some type of flashing light on it that made you feel like you were sleeping next to a lighthouse. It was very difficult to fall asleep to this. The room was either way too hot or way too cold - we couldn't get it to a happy medium. The pool was not open.
