The room was tiny, but otherwise, we loved everything about our stay. The staff was amazing, the room was adorable and very private, the building was beautiful and very quaint, and the food and wine at the restaurant was outstanding. We don't often stay in the middle of a posh neighborhood due to the expense, but this was absolutely worth it. It was a very special stay that we won't soon forget.

I loved the location, the atmosphere', the decor and the restaurant but there were some things that were inconvenient, like no bottled water or coffee or tea making equipment or refrigerator in the room and no room service. The staff refused to call me a cab to the airport. One of the hosts JR? and two of the waitresses were helpful and delightful but others were cold and unhelpful. I want to love this hotel but I felt the service was lacking especially for the price.

Nicely decorated charming hotel in perfect location for Beacon Hill . Lobby restaurant and bar are a nice addition . Rooms are small but comfortable. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful .

Enjoyed everything about our stay. Perfect room exactly like pictures & comfortable bed. Ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, all excellent. All the folks working here are fantastic. We walked back from a concert at the Garden well after 11pm & they spotted us and were holding the door open for us when we got to it.

The location is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are not many rooms, so it doesn't feel very crowded. The rooms were clean and nice. We did not eat at the Bistro, but there were always many people there.

Terrific location. Rooms needs updating especially the windows. The heat had to be on high to offset the draft. Queen bed is really a full size and feels like it’s 20 years old.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food at the restaurant downstairs is very good and reasonably priced. The neighborhood is really fun, a very short walk to the Public Garden and Common. Despite the busy location I wasn't bothered by street noise.

Nice but lacks amenities at $400 a night.
Small boutique hotel in great neighborhood. Limited amenities. Luggage had to be carried up 2 flights of stairs as elevator did not go to floor. Room and bed small. No washcloths. Room was clean. No breakfast offered. Certainly overpriced at $400 for an average hotel, which is a bargain in Boston.

This hotel was nice. Cons were no clock, fridge, micro, long mirror and shower was luke warm. Room and tv were small. Pros were staff was very nice and it was pretty clean.

Location, Location, Location.
Right in the heart of the city. Small room, no fridge or microwave & small tv. Everything else was perfect. Staff was great, convenient to everything. Truly enjoyable stay.

Ideal location but loud
You can’t find a more quintessential Boston hotel in all of New England! My only complaint is the noise from trucks (ie: trash, delivery) at all hours of the night and early morning.

This is a very well located property in the heart of Bostons historical district. Rooms are small but very 'efficient'. Very friendly and helpful staff and a very good bistro on premise.

This is a great spot and a great price. It is a no frills hotel room, but still has a great shower and comfortable bed and duvet. The windows open which is wonderful. I think they should leave at least 2 bottles of water in the room nightly for guests. They will bring up an Aquapanna if you ask for it- but not sure if they charged s for it. Also, i understand not having a coffee maker in the room, but that should be included in the price as well. Overall, I would stay there again, but not bring a lot of luggage!

Beacon hill getaway
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to Boston Common and many good restaurants. Charles Street is lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly.
On the downside, it would have been nice to have bottled water in the room and coffee in the morning - even in lobby if not in the room itself. The hotel bar is cozy with a fireplace. The restaurant was pretty good.
We enjoyed the Lindt chocolates at the front desk/ that was s sweet touch.

Beacon Hill secret
If you are visiting in the Beacon Hill area, you simply cannot go wrong staying here. Super-convenient, quiet. The rooms are not large, but they are very well appointed, with everything you need. Do not be swayed by the fact that they do not have a garage. The staff will show you exactly where to park.

Great Hotel and Bistro
I have stayed at Beacon Hill twice now and have enjoyed it both times. Great location, delicious food and friendly staff. The AC in the room wasn't great, but it was only a slight issue due to the 90 degree plus temperatures and high humidity in Boston during my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to visitors looking for something other than the typical large hotel chain experience.

A lovely old building but renovated rooms in historic Beacon Hill district. Was perfectly located!! The room was lovely, although small, had everything I needed. The staff were amazing! Helped me at every turn. Was very very pleased with this experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Fantastic Boston Beacon Hill Location
I used to live in Beacon Hill and back visiting after years. This is by far the best location to stay not only to visit Beacon Hill stores and restaurants, but central to the rest of Boston as well.

Very cool place in a cool location
This is a really cool little hotel in Beacon Hill. Great walking neighborhood. I will stay there again however a few things you should know. No parking, double park in front on Charles St. drop your bags and then park at the Boston Common underground garage about a block away (It's a little weird how you get there because of 1 way streets) but it is close by. Second this is very residential/commercial area expect street noises early like delivery trucks and such. If you are country folks like us it will seem loud in the AM and maybe into the night. Eat at the hotel but also if you can eat at Lala Rokh a few blocks up on Mt. Vernon,. Persian Restaurant with amazing food and a great staff.

Lovely old hotel in the very quaint Beacon Hill. Very nice clean accommodations in a very old building on one of the main streets. Only problem was it was on the street side of the building and you could hear the traffic and garbage men picking up at 5:30 in the AM.

Anniversary Stay
The hotel was perfectly lovely and we had a really nice stay. I gave the service 4 stars because I thought, for the price, the concierge should have helped us with our bags since we had a bit of a distance to get to our room, including a one flight walk up. The room itself was beautiful, secluded and had a lovely view of the tree-lined street. The terrace was fabulous, especially with a glass of their excellent champagne. The other reason I gave 4 stars for service was because my husband and I came back to the hotel for drinks after dinner, and we sat at the bar, but the bartender said barely a word to us except for taking our drink order, which would have been fine except that I wanted a glass of water but I had to wait for a while even to ask for one, since he was busy at the concierge desk and not behind the bar. Otherwise, we truly had a wonderful stay, and great food for brunch the next morning. We’ll be coming back for sure!

Never Again at this Hotel
I have never been so disappointed as i was with this place. 1200.00 for a 3 night stay. No coffee, no water. Nothing was free. We were put in room 402. Its a corner room. So you can imagine the noise from the four corner street. The windows have no (pane, installation) or anything to block out the sound. The windows had shutters instead of curtains and you can only imagine how lit up the room was at night from all four corner lamp post. We woke up every morning with back aches from the mattress. We travel a lot and have never had anything like this. We have stayed in a few "historic places" and never had the issues as we did here. When I mentioned it to them, they responded with " let me see what I can do for your bill" (didn't happen) and the other suggestions, let us by your dinner or lunch, also didn't happen. Its sad that its all about the money for these people. We were on our 25th anniversary and not one thing good came from this. I would never recommend this place. Even breakfast was burnt first morning. Didn't eat there again. It was a horrible stay.

Cosy quiet room in central Beacon Hill Boston
Lovely stay for a couple days allowed me rest and the simple chance to be out and about in central Boston. The bistro is a excellent easy option with a broad scope of choices on the menu - from burgers to delicious gourmet entres. The bar and fireplace add a great option for relaxing.

Perfect for us!
We enjoyed our stay very much! We were visiting relatives so spent very little time in room. It was clean, the staff was great, it was in a perfect spot for us. The room was a bit small, but we were only there to sleep so it wasn’t a problem.

Wonderful helpful staff and beautiful location.
Amazing staff! So friendly and helpful - served us coffee in the morning when we called for it, let us keep our bags there on move out day while we took in the sights, and the heater in the room worked beautifully. Very friendly place and I'd definitely stay here again. Close to everything in a super quaint neighborhood. Reminded me of gorgeous hilly San Francisco. Parking garage in the commons a block away and they gave us helpful hints of where to park in it so our walk was shorter. Only minor drawback was that the bathtub was a little shallow so I couldn't get a full soak on a freezing day and there were no coffee makers in the room - and they are leaving $ on the table by not having a room service menu available as they have a bistro downstairs - but other than all those minor things, it was abs perfect and I'm so glad we stayed here.

Great location but flawed
This hotel is in a terrific location for walking around Boston, the staff is friendly and helpful, and both the bistro and the small bar are very nice. Unfortunately, we had three major annoyances. First, we were awakened at 5:50 a.m. by a workman who was painting the hallway outside our room. That was beyond weird and extremely perturbing. Second, the building is old and the ceiling above our room squeeked when the folks upstairs walked around. Third, the shower is awful.

Cute room near Cheer's
Room was clean and bed was super comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only concern was size of room for price. There was only 2 1/2 feet on all sides of bed and the wall. Bed was only furniture in room. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Even though it was small, it added to the charm of the room.

Great hotel in Boston
This hotel was extremely nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Thank you Camiela, Paul, Emma, and the bartender John! They all made our stay and time in Boston wonderful. The bistro had great food and room was really nice, clean and comfortable bed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling into city. great location, can walk to many site seeing things or very short uber ride to wharf. Top rating from us!

Beacon Hill Bistro Hotel is well-situated and attractive. The staff is friendly. Breakfast in the attached bistro is delicious. However, it took them 2 days to fix my hot water and there was an ongoing issue with my door lock. I could have used a way to make tea/coffee in my room - there is none. It's a rather pricey hotel that relies on "location, location, location."

Fourth of July Celebration
The Beacon Hotel is one of the true gems of Boston. My room was well appointed with the look and feel more along the lines of a home of a gracious and attentive host. I visited the city for the 4th of July Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular which was a short walk away from the hotel. I could not have asked for better accommodations.

Lovely stay in a charming area of Boston
Hotel was great - we had a nice corner room. The staff was very helpful and we were allowed an early check-in. We had a nice brunch meal on Sunday that was delicious.

Great location, great rooms, wonderful!
Great location, lovely room (since it was just me). Maybe would have liked the TV set in a different place than flat against a wall and unmoveable, but I usually wouldn't sit on my bed and watch TV for a few hours like I did since I didn't have my kids with me!!! The staff was very friendly - and the wait staff in the Bistro was wonderful. I'd stay again!

Great location and neighbourhood.
The hotel is small with the only amenities being the cozy hotel bar and a nice third floor terrace. Staff was excellent throughout, the area is quiet but only 10-15 walk from the downtown core through the Boston Common - a great start to the day. The opposite direction finds the Charles river - excellent for a jog or a stroll. Charles street itself has a great neighborhood feel, restaurants, coffee shops etc.
