Comfortable with a good vibe
Dropped in for a night, after a disappointing four nights at Four Seasons; stayed another day and night. I am not a fan of casitas, especially if you have to get a ride when none are there, but casitas are walkable distances. Friendly staff.

The property location is breathtaking. Chris was great at the pool. His personality and services were friendly and welcoming. There is only one Dining option . It’s the same area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend going out for dinner somewhere else for a change. The wet bar is ridiculously expensive $$$$. My advise is to stop somewhere and pick up snacks and beverages. The spa was nice but again very expensive

Had an enjoyable stay at this property. It’s located 15-20 min from airport so easy to get too, great views, spacious rooms. Nice swimming pool, hot tub, and spa. Great for couples, will stay again.

The Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain is located on a quiet, beautiful property, but the hospitality of all the employees we encountered is what stood out. We had great experiences at reception, service around the pool and wait staff at the Elements restaurant. We will definitely stay again when we return to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

I have stayed at the Sanctuary before and it's EXCELLENT. The whole facility is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant, spa, fitness and pool are all great. We will be back again!!

Best place we've ever stayed
From the moment we pulled our car to the valet service to the moment we pulled away after our stay, we were impressed, impressed, impressed. I kept saying, "Where do they find these people?!" So friendly, so attentive, so pleasant. The grounds are amazing and well kept, the service was top notch, and the accommodations were stunning and comfortable. This may become an annual tradition as a Christmas gift to ourselves!

We had to switch hotels mid stay in Phoenix and were fortunate to learn this property had availability. The staff was incredible and warm to my family and I. Service was immediate any time we wanted or needed anything, and the location was spotless. We will be back.

The property has a stunning setting up against Camelback mountain and it has all the things that we love to rejuvenate, all in one place. Nice gym, tennis courts (which I booked a hitting session with one of the pros), spa, infinity pool, and a menu full of fantastic food. The room was able very spacious and a nice setting to spend time while we were there. We loved our stay and are now interested in exploring other Gurney's Resorts as a result of our wonderful visit here!

The staff was so frindly and attentive. When checking in we mentioned that it was our anniversary, we were upgraded to a spa suite, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were delivered to our room. My wife and I had massages that were wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

- [ ] No carpet on the sides of the bed, floor super cold.
- [ ] Room service closes to early
- [ ] Cleaning people left the trash from room service now the room smell like old leftovers.
- [ ] Turn down service was never done while our stay.

Such sweet desert opulence. The spa was amazing definitely one of the cleanest and every time I go you can always assure they’ll maintain a quiet environment focused on your complete restoration. Outside of the spa the Suite was nice and spacious. NGL, staff was a little bougie but other than that it was fine.

Paintings with some brown liquid splattered on them. No place to park. When called for cart seemed like a big deal. Bathroom sink did not work properly.

Stayed here with my wife for an extended weekend. Beautiful views from our suite! Staff bent over backwards to help you and were very pleasant. Gave us a gift to celebrate our newborn, which was nice.
Pool service was fantastic - only $200 to rent a cabana ALL DAY!!! Golf cart on request will take you anywhere on the resort, which was key with the Arizona heat!
Had a private bath in our suite that was outside that we didn’t get to use - the staff bungled the reservation time to set it up. But they apologized immediately - and then sent over two mimosas!!!
Will definitely be back for the Open or Super Bowl!!!!

Staff were incredible. Very helpful and attentive. However there were some issues with our stay. On first day, wife got massage and spa tech caused some busted facial capillaries inadvertently that never resolved by time we left. They attempted to fix by providing some free samples, but wife was disappointed all trip. On Sunday of our trip, property was without running water from 2 AM-12PM. Had to walk to/from spa to use the restroom and shower, not their fault, but they also did not notify guests. We ended up having to leave a night early due to wife being admitted to hospital before flying back the next day. We were told because we prepaid, we could not cancel and be reimbursed.

Staff was super friendly. Casita was very clean and updated. Parking was a little tricky. Had to back out because there really wasn't a good place to turn around although it was convenient because parking spot was directly in front of our casita. Location was great--very close to Old Town Scottsdale area. Pool area was very nice but if there were more people, could've been too crowded. Did not eat on property and did not utilize the spa.

Truly a beautiful property with excellent staff! The only issues we had were with the rooms…they need to be updated. As an example, the floors are tiled and freezing if you don’t have shoes or socks on. It was cold outside and the sweep was missing from under the door so cold air was coming in.
