The owner has really put her heart into this property and it shows across the board from the maintenance staff to house keeping, restaurant and bar. From front desk to the top. I worked here 5 years ago when I considered it a jewel in this area. Now it is a diamond!

The resort was very outdated. The bedspread on the bed had holes and the balcony door did not shut all the way. The room was not very clean either.

We booked for the Christmas boat parade with family . The parade was cancelled due to bad weather but we still stayed as too late to cancel our rooms (3).
The front desk staff were excellent and extremely accommodating for our needs. We come here every year at this time, and were pleasantly surprised by the room remodels. The Water front rooms are beautiful!

The bands were terrific, the food and drink was terrific. The only bad thing was sitting on our balcony with constant heat fumes from the dryers below, which kept us from sitting out and enjoying the balcony with its pretty views of the harbor.

We stayed there overnight Thanksgiving, but there were no dining or beverage options while we were there other than some free coffee in the lobby, but the coffee pot was empty. Other than that a nice, relaxing place on the water that serves the purpose of providing a clean, quiet, safe place to stay overnight

A very congenial place to stay, good food in the restaurant, we had a dinner party and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and friendly. The overall feel of the resort was relaxed and just what we were looking for.

We loved our room with a view over the marina. Our AC broke and the front desk had us moved immediately! Great staff! Very friendly! The room furniture is mid century modern and the cleanliness is superb!! The bed was very comfortable and linens were excellent! The shower pressure was excellent and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was spa quality! The restaurant is outstanding with excellent chef and wait staff! The price of the meals is very comparable to any seafood restaurant but the taste was much better and the selections were varied. I highly recommend the Mahi Rockafellar!!
My kids call me bougie when I travel as I love high end resort stays. I loved this resort!

Loved this cute location to stay. They had multiple bars to sit at with live bands and plenty seating. The view from our balcony was over the water as promised. The staff was very accommodating and out my sister and my rooms next to each other. Would definitely stay again!

Heating unit did not work overnight during a cold spell, staff didn't attempt to resolve until 3 PM the next day, which they then resolved very quickly. The Comcast TV box did not work, TV startup process is not clear.

Great place, very clean and safe. Restuarant with great food on site, bar with bands on site, covered parking, bait and fishing on site, even offshore charters on site!! Location close to bait stores, boat ramps, fast food, and local flea market. Great place to just get away

I liked that you could enjoy a cold beer at the bar and listen to music crossed the water. The bar closed at 9pm and no breakfast was served .
The entry door needed to be repaired and could of been updated interior.

There was NO Breakfast service,
There was No TV service and no one was there to fix it until our last night..
We went there to relax and enjoy the US Open. But couldn't and had to spend a lot more money at other establishments

Great for partying, bad for families
If you’re looking for a drunk party atmosphere, this place is for you. If you’re traveling with young children beware. My husband and I got 2 hours sleep the entire night due to live music just about 100yards away from our building until almost midnight then super drunk obnoxious people screaming from the balcony next to us. Extremely disappointed in the food and lack of customer service. Every employee there seemed like they could care less with the exception of a few. We won’t be returning which is a shame since the neighborhood I grew up in is across the marina and we visit the area often.

Pirates Cove boat trip
Beds were not the most comfortable. Views were great room was clean. Check in was ok check out was frustrating. Nailed us for a missing key when we weren’t given one so they said they would have to change the locks and absorb the cost. Also there was a 20.00 per day resort fee they forgot to collect up front and didn’t mention it upon check in. Not that we minded paying for this but it was a surprise.

No problems at this property. It's location is good as it's on the intercoastal and walkable to many restaurants. There is a good restaurant on property as well (service a little slow). Only drawback was no breakfast served in restaurant except weekends.

No sleeping at this resort
If you want some quite time and sleep don't stay here.. staff is awesome beds are comfy. Resort is beautiful.. there's a terrible drawback at this resort. If you want to sleep or sit out in your balcony before 11pm be prepared for very loud music and no privacy as there is a bar right under your room..i love a tiki bar and live music BUT i would have liked to be able to enjoy my balcony and a quite peaceful nights sleep.. so no sleep for the weekend and no privacy..too bad.
I canceled my next reservation i had with them because of this.. very very disappointing

Didn't like much. check in and out was an ordeal. beds in room 211 absolutely terrible and the LG TV in the room is a joke. why even put one in like that. OH MY GOD overall for the cost I rate it a zero. would of been better sleeping in my RAM truck.

Had a lovely stay at Pirates Cove just for one night. Staff is very friendly :it’s kind of like a mom and pop where they are attentive, not stuffy and very casual.Recommend it, rooms are dated because they are probably 20/30 years old but clean And very functional,beautiful view from Deck side second floor overlooking water

Great location, lots of area for improvement. Started with what was blamed on Expedia, that being $40 of additional cost. Waited for 30 minutes while desk manager tried to straighten out the booking. Facility itself, albeit rather dated, lacked attention to details of cleanliness and bathroom supplies. Again. potentially a wonderful property, poorly managed.

When I called the hotel directly I told them we had a boat and trailer that we were bringing, they told us there was boat parking and it was no extra charge to keep the boat on the trailer…. When we checked in the front desk looked at me like we were crazy when I said we had a boat and trailer and where to park, she told us we had to walk down and speak to someone else…that guy didn’t know much either, so finally after about 30 min of walking back and forth we found someone to help us and they said it was $15 a day… which we were told before it was nothing extra but no big deal we paid it. It was just a hassle.
Room was nice, we did find some hair in the bathtub, a few hairs on the bed sheets and parts of the sink were sticky. But besides that we spent most of our time on our boat fishing so didn’t spend to much time at resort.

Perfect!!!!
Perfect getaway. We stayed 2 nights, a Saturday and a Sunday. Saturday night was hopping! A very good band played while people danced and celebrated downstairs at the tiki bar. This is where we had delicious appetizers. There was also a very good band just upstairs at the restaurant but we never made in there, next time. We ate dinner at one of the fabulous locations within walking distance.
Sunday was slower and peaceful. Staying both nights gave us such an enjoyable, well rounded vacation without ever needing to get in our car!!
We had both dogs with us and they just loved people watching off the balcony overlooking the pool and the nightlife.
We'll return soon for a longer stay!!!

It was an excellent location on the Marina and overall had a fantastic stay. Housekeeping a little disappointing as they didn't come the first day - second day didn't leave coffee. They did have coffee in the Lobby but didn't know that until the day we left. And never found the Pool towels - they didn't tell us either of these at check-in and if it was left for me to read in the room, I didn't have time. Staff at the Loft very friendly, food good - I did order some lunch at the pool which I had to go up to the bar to order, as nobody came down. And of course a hotel representative came by at that moment as my daughter was swimming in the pool by herself - which at no point was she out of my site and both could see me but she had to get out of the pool. Good job she didn't see those 2 boys much younger playing without a parent in sight later.

Fishing trip and relaxation - Good choice
We enjoyed our stay there. We stayed 3 nights. It was a fishing trip for me while my wife relaxed. The pool isn't large or fancy. We had a beautiful view of Manatee inlet(?). We had a balcony.
Everything worked fine. A/C performed well. it is a unit at the window and balcony. This is an older property but if you manage expectations and remember the price point, it is fine. Comfortable, clean and the people were nice. This property is close to other restaurants in town. We walked to a couple of places. I plan to return for another guided fishing trip.

Air conditioning did not work properly
Air conditioning did not work properly. Arrived before dinner to turn down the air. Was gone 2 hours for dinner/drinks and room was still hot. Pouring sweat until 3am before the air actually started to work decent. Still wasn't as cold as it should be before our early checkout. Very disappointed and would choose another hotel before this one.
