NEVER AGAIN!!!!
When I arrived it was snowing. I parked in a spot, where it seemed like it was shoveled and I would have no issues getting in and out of the parking spot. When I went to start my car and wanted to leave the premises, I notice I was plowed in. I tried backing my car out of the spot, but got stuck. I went to the front desk and I told the gentleman at the front desk. He asked me why I parked there and he told me where the shovel was because he has no time to shovel me out. I found him to be rude and abnoxious. My room smelled of marijuana. When I had told the front desk, again the gentleman told me it was from the CBD store next door and he couldn't do anything about it. My friend's rooms toilet had urine all over the toilet and again the gentleman had said that the room was inspected before she was given her keycard. And she must have had an accident. Her room also smelled of smoke.

The staff corrected a problem Expedia made when they sent the booking over to the hotel. I booked a room with 2 Queens, but Expedia sent them a single King booking; the clerk and I confirmed this. He was very helpful and moved us into a double. If it's important that you get a particular kind of room, I recommend calling the property to confirm the booking was sent to them properly.
By the way, nice place but bring your own pillows:)

I loved that the room had a living room and a door to the bedroom. It was very clean with plenty of towels and blankets. There were many options for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were delicious!

Clean, quiet. Felt safe in area. Breakfast area too small and crowded, but I waited an hour and had the place to myself. Breakfast is nothing spectacular, but it was decent, fresh and plentiful. Standard fare, eggs, sausage, etc. Breakfast area clean and well stocked. Parking lot well lit and enough spaces.

Always seem to wait for the luggage cart!
4 out of the last 5 times we have stayed here there was no cart available to get our luggage to our room. This is not the hotel's fault - but guests who are not considerate to other guests who need the carts as well.

The common areas were clean and presentable as well as our room. Housekeeping came in on the second day to empty trash and replace towels, which I appreciated. The location can't be beat! Convenient to everything in Crystal Lake and walking distance to food and coffee.
Every single pillow was awful and we didn't sleep well as a result. The A/C was so loud when it was running that you couldn't hear the TV without turning up the volume and probably disturbing the next room. Water pressure in the shower was way too low - if there is a restrictor in the shower head, it needs to be removed! There was no saving water when it takes 3x as long to take a shower.

Stayed for several days with kids. Breakfast was pretty boring, same things day after day. The room condition was old and falling apart. The a/c worked, but it was still hot in the room. The pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable and shouldn't be listed as a sleeping option. The chairs were grossly dirty and need upholstery cleaning or replacing. The bathrooms were so small I couldn't turn around without hitting the toilet. We felt like sardines in a can, packed together. Definitely won't stay there again. Most of the staff were very nice and quick to accomodate, but it doesn't make up for the yucky hotel.

Fun getaway.
The hotel grounds and the lobby were both clean. We took this room due to the bedroom was separate from the front room. The room was clean, large, and furnished well. Microwave and frig were an extra plus. The bed was slightly firm but fine. Housekeeping was daily for garbage and towels which was fine. They did let us know if we wanted more, than they would to the rest. The staff was personable. Breakfast was good, plenty until 9:30 am. We enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

Best back-up plan!
Breakfast was good, check-in and check-out was easy, only a $25 hold for incidentals where some do much more, room was clean but a bit dated, friendly service, check out at noon! Unlike the hotel we booked through the app then didnt have a room for us when we got there. So this room cost more but ended up being worth it in the end. Would stay again

This property is conveniently located within walking distance (w/in a mile) of the train station, restaurants, a Target, and a grocery store. There are sidewalks for walking which is nice.
The property is old but with some upgrades. The room was large and comfortable. One of my favorite parts is that the windows open for fresh air when needed. The other is that there was a bathtub, not just a shower. Room 208.

House keeping tryed to keep coming in out room early in the morning hours before check out. Bed was hard and not confterbale and only had 3 pillows for a king size bed. Check in guy was not friendly.

Could use a little improvement
The hotel is nice enough, but could use some attention in the bathrooms. I chose this hotel partly because it serves breakfast. Not much selection other than cold cereal and a few tasteless hot items. You could really use some improvement here. But the biggest thing is one morning going to breakfast a male employee was speaking loudly and with anger at a woman on the phone. We could hear him yelling in the dining area. Very unprofessional.

Highly recommended hotel in northwestern suburbs
Wonderful checkin experience at 8 pm with the nice woman who was so personable and welcoming. Itâs the kind of hospitality and ease of checkin that you want, especially after spending a full day at a nearby hospital where youâre visiting a family member. Hotel is so conveniently close (ie next door) to retail shops (Target, BuyBuy Baby, Kohlâs), Fresh Thyme grocery store, and restaurants (Freddyâs, Crumbl Cookies, Chik Fil A, Raising Cane etcâŚ). Rooms are comfy and modern and super clean. In a heartbeat, this is the hotel to go to if youâre in the area or need a close locale to the area hospitals in Woodstock, McHenry, and Huntley. Free breakfast, pool and hot tub on the first floor which I didnât check out but the facilities are extremely well maintained.

The hotel is in desperate need of updating. Our room had a hole in the curtain, the tub had a crack that had a huge rough ugly patch in it. The furniture and beds were in poor condition.

Extremely poor customer care
Traveling from Virginia to Crystal Lake for a funeral. After many hours in the car we arrived at Country Inn around 1. I asked if there was any way we could check in early. Person at the desk said our room wasnât ready and that they had been full the night before, which we knew they had not been from friends who were also there. She said to try in an hour. We came back in an hour and I let her know we were there and we sat in the small lobby where she could plainly see us. She did not even acknowledge us. 45 minutes later she called us over and brusquely went through registration. Another man there said he was sorry for the delay. There was no one in the halls cleaning, a handful of cars in the lot and we are told they donât have a clean room.đ Extremely poor customer service which spreads quickly. We expected more from our home town and their lack of courtesy got them a poor review.

This was out 2nd time staying here and it did not disappoint. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is a wonderful perk! The only thing I would change is some of the hotel is a little dated.

I enjoyed the friendly service and atmosphere. The rooms are very attractive, comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding. I didnât get the chance to utilize the pool or hot tub, but it looked great. Whenever I needed to speak with the staff about anything, they were very helpful and friendly. I had a wonderful stay here.

My issues are not with the hotel. I mistakenly booked my room at the hotel for 11/29. I called and spoke with the desk clerk and advised her of same. She stated the reservation was made through a third part Expedia. They would have to
make the changes which she was willing to do. However the Expedia rep I spoke with placed me on hold a claimed to call the hotel. The female rep then claimed the hotel refused to make the change and the reservation was a non refundable one. The call was then terminated. I made a direct reservation at the same hotel for the 30th. The clerk remembered my name and advised that she worked until 11:30 on the 29th and was never contacted by an Expedia Rep. that being said I will never use Expedia services again nor will I recommend others to use Expedia due to their unethical practices.

We walked in to check in and were holding all of our things. There was no worker at the desk right away but there was a man standing there and she came up and was talking to him. She gave me a really weird look and said can I help you and not in a pleasant voice more like an annoyance. I said Iâm checking in. Then she said oh Iâm sorry and proceeded to check me in. Why the attitude at the start though?

It was clean and staff was friendly. The walls are so thin, heard everything in the room next door all night, as if it was in my own room. Could hear anyone outside the building too. Room faced the parking lot on 2nd floor above the entrance. Heard conversations from out there. Total backache from bed.
Giving it an ok as opposed to worse because the gentleman at the front desk was courteous and nice and it was clean.

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN EXPEDIA!!!
I learned different prices were quoted for the same room, and I was solo & charged $250.00 a night, but others in our group charged $150.00 a night.....I had organized our 70th High School reunion, so was obligated to have a place to stay.....I did call Expedia to request a lesser-priced room, but was told they could not help me.....$500.00 for my 2 night stay was taxing for a widow on SS. I will not use EXPEDIA again!

They were renovating and put me in a room right next to a room they were working on. The loud pounding began at 6am. I would think noise ordinances were broken. When I spoke to the front desk the night lady said, âwell they should be done with that room, there is nothing we can do about it.â
I plan on calling the corporate office.

We have stayed here several times over last 5 years. It has gone down hill. The room was clamy and smelled like smoke. The A/C kept making noises after it shut off. The breakfast is not appealing anymore. It is sad because we come to this area quite a bit. Could never get handicap parking spot.

Need to get new beds!
The bed was very uncomfortable. I had to get extra pillows to sleep on because the bed was so hard. The breakfast was really good the woman that worked during the week was great. I stayed a full week.

When I got to my room and family was coming out of our room down the hall with a giant dog. I Had to listen to a bark later that night. When I open the door to my room it smelled like mold and wet dogs.
