Would not recommend
My room was dirty, stains on carpet, food was cold and dirty eating area. Broken vending machines. Loud kids running the halls during the night. Towels had holes in them .

Kids enjoyed the pool, the water was warm but the pool was small and there were no towels. We went down for breakfast in the morning there was nothing left and they didn’t refill anything and then when we went back to our room our keys had already been disabled and we couldn’t get in our room. The housekeeper let us back in our room. Probably wouldn’t stay here again has to be better choices in the area.

Disgusting dont stay here
I had pipes banging all night anytime somone upstairs flushed their toilets. Sheets had stains, no mattress cover. I slept on top of the covers and used a blanket from my car. I would have left if it wasnt so late and negative 20 degrees outside. Reaked of marijuana all thru the halls.

I liked that it was a quiet hotel, clean, and the breakfast was pretty good! They also have a gym and pool which I didn't use but I saw them and they looked nice. Staff were nice as well.

Need TLC
The location is good. The hotel could be nice it’s just not being maintained and cleaned properly. The desk clerk smelled like he just smoked a blunt right before checking me in. The bathroom floor was not cleaned at all. No hot water the 2nd day said it was due to being almost full. They need to upgrade to tankless water heaters to avoid this in the future. The beds need updated they are not comfortable. Housekeeping needs to clean better and maintenace needs to fix water leaks in ceiling and do some painting. I wouldn’t stay again unless they take better care of this place.

Two star hotel trending to one star
This is a budget hotel that is starting to look a little rough around the edges. Room was comfortable enough, but needs some TLC. Tiles in bathroom are separating from subfloor, tv pixilated often, lots of wall damage in hallways. Breakfast is about average for a budget hotel.

The room is small and well worn. No safety bars in the tub Tub not that clean. Lobby not well cleaned. Trash can overflowing. This Comfort Inn not up to par compared to others we’ve stayed at

This hotel is becoming very dated and unclean. There was a place in our room close to the garbage can that looked like someone had thrown up and the carpet was never cleaned. The doors were chipped and very dated. The price to stay there keeps going up, but the hotel is starting to look very shabby. I stay there at least once a year, but am considering looking somewhere else.

Theee was a substance that looked like vomit in front of the mini fridge across the floor-2 ft long, The air/heat mini split stopped working my swcong night there, quite evident that the refrigerator had not been defrosted for a very long time=a huge amt of ice surrounding the electrinics inside, long black hairs up and down the shower/bath walls....etc. I gave a good review upon arrival and then this all appeared. Give iit a 2 star/5.

I was in town for a best friend 60th birthday surprise party.. my room was clean, towel needed to be replaced spots on them...my mattress was lumpy and hard very uncomfortable . It was a little noisy, some group of girls were there for a competition.. The potatoes that were served for breakfast were burnt, and that taste overpowered everything about the potatoes, breakfast wasnt that good.. the stay was okay, but, to book again id questionable..

Thoroughly disappointed
Upon arrival, I was assigned to a room on the second floor. Regrettably, the hallway emitted an unpleasant odor reminiscent of stale beer, vomit, and marijuana, which unfortunately extended into the room I was given. In response to my concerns, the hotel staff relocated me to a room on the first floor, which had a more agreeable scent. Furthermore, they generously upgraded me to a whirlpool room, although I opted not to use it.
Upon closer inspection of the bed, it became evident that it had been previously occupied. The sheets were crumpled and bore traces of crumbs. I promptly requested fresh bed linens, but it took nearly two hours for someone to respond, only after I insisted. To my dismay, the housekeeping staff displayed rudeness and irritation upon arriving to change the bedding. They even denied the presence of crumbs, claiming that the bed had been made earlier in the day. However, when they removed the comforter, it was apparent that the sheet had not been properly tucked in, contradicting their statement.
I inquired about the frequency of comforter cleaning, to which I was informed that it occurred approximately every three days. This experience left me thoroughly disappointed.

Room was sparse. One armless desk chair for 2 people to sit. Uneven tiles in bathroom floor. Breakfast was lousy. I do not recommend for the money.

Nice stop
Was there for a one night stay. Hotel was comfortable, clean and felt safe. Check in was friendly. Pool was on the shallow and smaller size (3’8” deep everywhere) but it did the job for my two boys that wanted to swim. Many restaurants nearby. Decent hot breakfast in the morning.

Tile in the bathroom had broken and loose grout. Mold on the caulk above the shower. Some sort of spot under the counter in the bathroom that was obviously missed.

My room was so damp and musty. It smelled like wet socks and it felt like I was sleeping in a room full of wet socks. It was awful. Additionally, there was pubic hair in the shower that was there when I entered the "clean" room.

It’s been better
Hotel was not as clean as in previous trips ( we make a trip to Decatur annually). Recent updates are nice, it just wasn’t clean. Unfortunately, I was given a room that was already occupied which was embarrassing for all parties involved.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and accessible. So happy to see a Bible in the room. There was plenty of light. There was no list of tv stations but the guide was on the tv channel. There was no list of nearby restaurants or local delivery. It was a pleasant 2 day stay.

Get the basics right!
The room was clean and the shower head and water pressure were good. But the condition was below average. There was a small phone book under one leg of the table. The curtains were stained, there were only 4 scrawny pillows on a king bed, and the towels were paper thin. Also the box spring was exposed and would have been better to cover with a sheet. I come to Decatur often and I will go to another hotel next time.

Rooms definitely not cleaned well. Bedding looked old and used didn’t even fit bed size.

Very dirty. Fire sprinkler head covered completely with drywall mud. Carpet looks like a 3 year old cut it. Multiple old drywall screws on the floor in the bathroom. Found a bag of someone else’s garage in the nightstand. No garbage can in the room to even clean it. The staff when we checked in were very nice and informative. Highly unlikely to ever come back to this hotel and I do not recommend it.

We had to switch rooms 1 time because the fridge didnt work but they were very accommodating. Wheh we got to the next room the microwave didnt work but we had already pulled back the blankets before we figured it out so we coulnt switch rooms. However the man at the desk that night unlocked the kitchen downstairs so we could make our dinner still. The beds are comfortable. The pool was nice. I would definitely stay here again because although it wasnt perfect the customer service was outstanding. Plus the breakfast was yummy. :)

Not handicap friendly facility
While the room was adequate, it was not what was requested. I am on a wheelchair and require accessible bathroom facilities which I requested when making my reservation the room was not at all accessible except for the width of the doorways.

Average Hotel
This hotel is showing it's age. The bed was comfortable and linens were good. Had a problem with a noisy A/C fan the first night, but the maint. man fixed it the next day. The breakfast was disappointing. Only one entree each morning. Country Inn & Suites used to have a really good breakfast. I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years and it is not nearly as good as it was.

Very disappointed and disrespected.
I have stayed at this hotel many, many times when I come home for a visit. The last stay was for 2 nights for my sister's funeral. After the first night, I reported the shower did not have any water when turned on. I was told I was not turning it on correctly. No offer to come and inspect the shower. I checked out and do not plan to ever use this hotel again.

When we arrived to check in the clerk was no where to be found. We waited about 10 minutes and I finally called the hotel to tell them we were there to check in. Room was very cold but did eventually warm up. Bathroom sink drain hardly drained and barely had any hot water from the faucet. Shower worked fine. Hotel definitely needs a major makeover.

The outside of this property was good the front desk staff was Pleasant but all the room cleaning staff who was in the dining room didn’t look professional at all I Assume they were on lunch because they had pizza the room had a Terrible smell like it had been wet this hotel needs to update there property I’m glad I only had one night there

Haunted Tour
We came to town to take a haunted tour.
The woman who checked us in was very helpful and kind.
The hotel was quiet - in the evening.
My only issue was the pillows were not good.
Later breakfast for Sunday travelers insures I will be back here again.

Our "go to" from now on

This hotel was ok, but I really expected better in the cleanliness area. There were drops of blood and hair on the wall of the shower. I was very surprised this wasn't cleaned better. There were also many large very dirty finger prints on the doors and walls.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Ours was a college athlete trip and we felt safe. Everyone got a good night sleep.
One detail about breakfast. For athletes it was too starchy. Not enough fresh fruit just some old oranges and no protein to speak of.

Had three rooms among our group. Two out of the three had dried food on the carpet, cobwebs in the corners, and the bathroom just looked unclean. The beds were decent (worked for one night). Breakfast was lacking. Front desk clerks were very friendly and polite.

Disappointed.
There was a spot on the top of the bedspread. the ceramic tile floor in the bathroom kept popping when we walked on it. Someone had attempted to repair but obviously had no clue what they were doing. We had stayed at this location about 5 years ago and were very pleased. That’s why we stayed again. Will not be staying there again.

Not uo to the normal exoected standard of a Country Inn. My room was ok, but the ceiling was dirty and several bad wall patch joba. The walls in the hall were beat up. Carpet needed vacuuming. Staff was absolutely fantastic and friendly. The breakfast was subpar. Just very average.

Memorial weekend stay
The room was clean. Carpet had a couple old stains on floor. Quiet floor. Great water pressure in shower. Pool was nice for the kids. Staff were polite and kind. Breakfast included biscuits and gravy and waffles. Great location to all things Decatur.

I booked an accessible room and didn't get it. The bathroom door hinge was broken so I had to lift up the door in order to close it - not great for someone with back and mobility issues. The only place to sit in the room was the desk chair or the bed - very inconvenient for 2 people. The bathroom needed repair to the walls and was desperately in need of painting. The hotel was clean and quiet. No recycling bin anywhere that I could see.

Tile work in bathroom was done recently and so poorly that we were afraid to step on tiles lest they break under our feet. Breakfast could stand to be inviting as opposed to the bare essentials.

Hotel was clean but everything was very small. The pillows were small squares instead of average size (like the size of a throw pillow) and a queen bed only had 3 of them. The towels were also very small, and rough- not soft at all. The pool was out of service, which happens occasionally but was disappointing, and by the time I arrived at breakfast (just before 10:00 on a Sunday, which isn’t terribly late) many things were gone and not replaced. Overall, it was clean and sufficient but not the quality I expected.

The website states that there was a hot tub. When checking in there wasnt one. Yes I saw when checking in that the hotel was under renovation but there was no waffles in the breakfast and they served just biscuits and gravy both days we was there. Coffee makers in rooms had gross slim in them. Then the power strip on desk in rooms didnt work.
