Reasonably clean and comfortable
The hotel was reasonably clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The hallway odors were mildly unpleasant, the room had noticeable rust stains and the “resort fee” was excessive considering the very limited amenities beyond standard.

Enjoyed our weekend. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and most importantly very friendly. Our dogs were welcomed as if were their home! The refreshments in the lobby were a plus! Will definitely recommend The Kimpton Marlowe to family and friends.

No dogs allowed
Nice ok, so-so service. Pet-friendly and dogs barking and howling in rooms. No dogs should be allowed and people shouldn't leave an animal alone in a hotel room. I had to request another room and didn't care to be around them on every floor on my vacation. The gym is nothing great and the room feels like a closet with low ceiling.

Horrible book I will never stay at this location again 1000.00 for two nights guest have no special accommodations or features everything seems like it’s focused on outsiders including the pop up bar no room service no help when asked where to eat or shop just terrible I asked for a room with a tub did not get that either.

Great stay and what you come to expect at a Kimpton. Nice coffee/tea bar each morning and happy hour with red/white wine at 5 pm. All in all, a great stay and love that you can bring your dogs and no extra fees.

The staff are wonderful. Complimentary Coffee in the morning and wine at night are great! I was very disappointed with the avocado toast at the bfast but the full bfast is yummy. Valet parking is very handy. One of my favorite places to stay whilst in Boston.

Hi as a long time guest of the hotel, I have appreciated the hotel's service over the years. However I've noticed that the hotel has less staff and slipped in some of it's amenities. In the past, every room had a coffee machine. I understand that during the pandemic that this was changed. However, it would be great to have this re-instated. At this time, a staff person must go to an empty hotel room to get the machine and bring it to me. this process took over an hour - at 10:30 pm - with an early morning meeting. I feel bad for the limited staff who have to take on this additional task, esp. when you are so short staffed.

Positives: Some very nice, accommodating staff; very good restaurant for breakfast. Kathryn, our server was responsive and pleasant. Coffee set-up in the morning, complementary wine in the afternoon (even tho we were not there).
Negatives: Some staff were somewhat "uppity" during check-in. When we were waiting for a table for breakfast, no-one bothered to acknowledge us or to let us know that someone would be with us. Many add'l charges added to our bill. I booked on Expedia, and it said "breakfast included" which was not the case.

We love Kimpton!
We love the Kimpton chain. This is our third property in as many years. This hotel is beautiful and comfortable and the staff is lovely. You get a $10 credit for every night you stay, which can be used to purchase drinks or snacks at the front desk or for the in-house restaurant (we didn't try that one). There is a lovely waiting area where cars pick up guests where you can lounge, enjoy a free bottled water and play cornhole or rent a free bike. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet (you can't hear your neighbors or much activity in the hall). We will continue to choose Kimpton.

I made a specific reservation for a specific room due being my wedding day and as soon as we arrived they told us the room we reserved was not available and apparently a “VIP” was coming, and they couldn’t accommodate and respect my reservation no matter what. They only offered to decrease the rate and give us a smaller room or get a $100 dlls card for the restaurant. Come on!!!! It was my wedding day. If you truly care about your reservation, please, do not book in here! You never know if they will be respecting or not your reservation doesn’t matter if you already paid for it.

Staff was extremely helpful especially Amy in the restaurant. We got in late and the front desk clerk let us know that the restaurant was closing soon and we should order food. Amy made sure to put a food order in for us while we took our bags to the room.

Nice/clean hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is connected to the shopping mall so it is very convenient. Bambara restaurant in the hotel has good food. They have fresh water with fruit (strawberries or lemons) in the lobby. There is also complimentary wine hour too.

The room was super noisy, had to ask front desk twice to look into it as it sounded like a party was happening below us or next door to us. Sink was stopped up needed maintenance to come and clear it up. I think the most annoying thing was no one answered the front desk phone to hear my complaints I had to go down twice and wait on a long line in my pajamas to let someone know we needed assistance and that was what really was unfortunately. We had driven 6 hours to get there and it was just alot of unexpected “work” where I just wanted to relax.

Thing I don't like there was no Microwave as I was on business trip working late need to make some snacks warm but what a disappointment, I should have checked during booking same way I check for lower star hotels
It was a connecting room the other room noise was like it coming from my room extremely annoying.

This did not seem like a Kimpton to me. Compared to the Philly one, it looked like holiday in express. There was no interesting decor in the room and lobby. Just surprised. I picked it because I wanted to show my kids how cool a Kimpton is. Oh well!

Out stay was great. We loved the location, enjoyed the room, and everyone was nice while we were there. Our one complaint came after we left. My wife left a pair of earrings at the hotel. We called to see if they were found. The person we talked to was quite rude and said we would be contacted the next day if they were found. We were not contacted and my wife called them back to check again only to be told they hadn't had time to look into this.

Such a lovely property. The front desk staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and bed comfy. It’s updated and stylish with the wonderful wine happy hour which made it great to connect with friends while we were in town. Short walk to the T green line as well.

Had an amazing night stay at the Kimpton! Went to the planetarium and dinner. Everything was close by. The park next to the hotel was nice to walk around. Room was very clean and staff went above and beyond! Would highly recommend!

This hotel was wonderful for our one night stay. Lovely set up, rooms are clean and the staff was extremely nice. Only downside was the amenities fee(a little random) and that breakfast was not included.

The staff was not trained well they didn’t know anything about the property. No valet on multiple occasions so we waited a long time for the car.
We stayed 7 days and they didn’t clean our room 2 times. Even when requested.
I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. Kimpton should be embarrassed to put there name on this property. Also room service is always closed and the restaurant is always a 30 minute wait with bad service.

Hotel is in great location to Boston. Free wine happy hour was nice. The restaurant in the hotel wasn’t what we expected, average at best. Rooms were clean and mostly updated. Would stay again because of the location.

Booked 1-BR King Suite. Recently remodeled, and while the design was nice, the implementation was not great. In spite of rooms being very spacious, there was no full dresser for clothing (fine for 2 nights, not okay for longer). It's a pet-friendly hotel, and it really felt like space was left for dogs, not people. Renovation work itself wasn't great and things could've been cleaner. Jacuzzi tub spit out gross stuff, and when we turned it on water sprayed all over (our fault). When I wiped up the floor, my paper towels turned black (i.e., floor not clean). There was also a lot of mold inside the shower along the glass wall that doesn't open. Overall, the room was comfortable. There was a lot of space & the king bed/pillows were great. Sofa sleeper mattress was awful. We booked the room for 3 people but had towels for 2 and no sofa sleeper bedding. Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly and brought what we needed quickly. They provided us with two comforters for the sofa sleeper, one for under the sheets for comfort and one for covering. This hotel is kind of out of the way, and for the price, I wish there would've been a 24-hour self-service snack area. Snacks / beverages were limited. Overall, it was good. But for the money, I would not go back.

Really nice Hotel with some great little perks….daily happy hour in the lounge and hot chocolate station set up in the lobby. Rooms were large and clean. Comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and service was excellent. The only complaint are all the additional fees tacked on to the price of the room. Added an additional $60 per day to the bill. We travel to Boston regularly and have stayed at too many hotels to count. Other hotels do not charge these additional fees. Other than that, I would highly recommend the Marlowe.
And a big P.S. this hotel is the most pet friendly in the city!

Well located to downtown activities, including TD Garden. Shopping options close by, great walking area and nice park next door. The only downside was that one of our neighboring guests had a barking dog.

This had been by far the worse hotel experience I’ve had. I called the front desk to ask for a toothbrush and toothpaste and a staff member tells me that they didn’t have any toothbrushes and only toothpaste and if I expected them to go to cvs and grab one for me. He then came up to my room and called my boyfriend “my n**ga” as if it was a joke and that he could only bring up the toothpaste bit would walk to cvs for us to purchase a toothbrush. A few minutes later after the staff member left, two toothbrushes and toothpastes were dropped off - not from cvs, after we were told they didn’t have any. I was thwn told I would receive a bottle of wine after we complained, never received the wine. We were told we would have late 2pm checkout for free.. that was a lie because I was almost billed $50 as well. I had to go over my receipt and let the front desk know that it was yet ANOTHER error on their end. I will NEVER stay here again.

My only negative comment was the communication about the roll away cot. It was never disclosed it was against fire code but we understood it completely. Shawn was great about bringing us up extra blankets and we were able to make one bed into 2 for our sons! Will definitely stay here again❤️

The only negative point would be that I pre-paid for an executive suite king but was informed when I got there that they didn’t have one available. I don’t like paying up front for something only to find out it’s not available. The gentleman at the front desk gave me a free breakfast as a courtesy which I appreciated.
