Home away from Home
I love to stay at the Homewood Suites in Springfield, VA. Nicely laid out property with comfort of a 1 bd apt since I always choose the separate bedroom option. Nice deck for reading when weather permits. My only concern is the property is starting to look dated in the rooms.

This is a fine place to stay. A bit of wear is showing but it was clean. The worst part about this location is the entrance and parking situation. It is very inconvenient. It is so inconvenient that I would not stay here again.

Me and my husband frequents this establishment quite often. We asked for an upgrade or corner room to celebrate our anniversary they couldn’t accommodate that. No problem we tried. However someone came banging on our door accusing us of smoking in the room. My husband explained i just came in from outside check your cameras. He left. It was clearly 2 doors down after we did our own investigation. We have never had any complaints after our stay. This was odd.

It was just an overnight stay traveling south on vacation. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure was strong. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I kind of wish I would’ve booked this hotel for the remainder of my vacation.

The hotel was convenient as far as shopping centers and eateries. However, on the day of checkout, my family and I woke up feeling itchy and found bug bites all over our bodies. The manager Han said that he will get a professional to examine the room and will update us.

Washington DC visit.
My room was not cleaned well. The bedding looked yellow and dirty from being too old. The walls of the room were stained . Hallway was smelly.

Nice hotel, friendly. Tricky entrance from the road when you’re new in town and arriving in the dark. Convenient shopping center nearby with lots of options. Only stayed one night but the room seemed clean, fridge was clean. Whole party slept well.

Easy check in and adequate parking. There were strange spills or stains on the walls, in the elevator and the tv in the lobby that hadn't been touched. The rooms seemed clean other than that. Staff was friendly and breakfast was really good. There's a lot of traffic on the road behind the hotel, but it was easy enough to get to the metro station for access to Washington DC.

It was quite nice and you can walk to grocery store, resturant which are around you just a few minute walk. I love staff. They are friendly and helpful. Will go back and stay there again for sure.

We were so pleased with this Homewood suites property. The property was clean and safe. When we arrived early, we had exceptional service from
Nasima (mgr), Ayesha (kitchen), Erika (front desk). This is our new favorite Springfield, Va hotel, and it's only 15 mins from the WHARF for fresh seafood!
Thanks to the staff for making our stay memorable--even when we ate our fresh blue crab in the kitchen!

Nice family stay
We are a family of 6 who stayed here for 5 nights on our trip to DC. The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was plentiful, and the location was very convenient for food, groceries, and access to DC. Overall I have no complaints.

Hotel sign and entrance very hard to see. Entrance to the hotel looks more like an alley than a driveway. That said the hotel was very nice although not having a restaurant in the hotel was a disappointment. Staff was very friendly and our suite was clean and comfortable.

The property it’s self is decent, however for a Hilton brand I expected a bit more. For example why are the beds so hard? Also why am I paying for parking when there’s a garage and more than enough spots to park my vehicle? If it were in Arlington, Va or DC where there is limited space I’d understand, but it’s in Springfield, Va. Make it make sense. Also the only staff I encountered that was actually nice was the engineer, and an overnight staff clerk who checked me out in the morning.

One of the dining staff members was very rude to us (a family with little children) to the point that we had to beg for forks & knives because she wouldn’t let us have them at 9:03 am. Finally she pushed the entire container of forks in our hands because she was angry.

This hotel cares how your stay is by contacting you after checkin to see how everything is. My housekeeper with the yound child was really nice. Very attentive. I felt safe. Breakfast was very good. Didn't like hearing dog next to me barking for hours. Nice lady took luggage cart back for me. Very quick check in and VERY CLEAN hotel. Disliked paying to park not like there is security watching the vehicles. Just annoying. Loved the ceiling fan above my bed. Beautiful hotel.

NOISY/NEEDS CLEANING
Noisy on odd room number side -- traffic at night and early morning. Cleanliness of hallways/elevators lacking. Unclear what the housekeeping policies were -- towels replaced daily, every other day, on-demand?? Never saw or heard a vacuum during 5 night stay. Strange bed coverings, hard to make -- my job? Common area carpets need cleaning. Breakfast was excellent. Furniture/bathrooms newly updated -- Nicely done.

I am particularly impressed with the breakfast steward Mr Chang, You can see his positive and helpful manner as if the hotel was his own home. He also offers to cook waffles for the customers. Mr Chang has a sense of humor that helps us start our day. You must be very proud.

Heater in room was not working. Bathroom light did not work. There were holes in the wall. Worse was the response from the concierge and Manager Michael Dorsett. They clearly did not care and had absolutely NO customer service training or skills. Disappointed to receive this level of service from a Hilton branded hotel.

My room was dirty. TRACK HAIR EVERYWHERE. On the sheets, pillows, comforter, floor, bathroom floor, shower, sinks, etc. the refrigerator has brown spots in it. I wiped the tables with Clorox wipes…. FILTHY. I reported all this to the front desk (mind you it’s 5-6 pm) and reported this to them and they switched my room to another king suite a couple doors down. DIRTY AGAIN. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. The tub and sink had pubic hair in it. I went BACK to the front desk and they told me they didn’t have anymore King suites available and housekeeping is gone for the day. They offered me a regular room after I already paid full price before they gave me room keys to the first room. I declined and asked to be placed back in the first room I was assigned. Also told them to give me fresh bedding down to the comforter. I striped the entire bed. I then went to target and bought my own plastic mattress and pillow covers as well as a comforter to feel slightly more comfortable so I can go to sleep. I also purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned everything myself because at this point I don’t trust the staff or hotel. I’m disgusted because now I know cleanliness and sanitation is not demanded by management. The bed was neatly made with everything dirty like that. That’s no accident due to the amount of someone’s hair as if they cleaned their brush on the bed and styled their hair there too. I’m glad I bought shoes to wear around the room I do not trust anything at that hotel.

Avoid-Will NEVER stay at this location ever again
Check in was ok.
Room had smell due to leftover Water in the the dishwasher and coffee maker not working. This was conveyed to the front desk who did nothing about it.
Next day a maintenance guy showed up who vacuumed the dishwasher for 10 minutes but it left a very foul smell in the room. Complained to the front desk and nothing happened. Next day spoke to "JAMES" the manager about all the issues who basically showed NO interest and said all hotels are having staff short falls and not much can be done about anything. Handed me an Airfreshner to go and freshen up the room myself.
Forgot to mention that 1 of the front desk lady was very rude and has NO manners to speak to the guest. I forgot her name but she was an older lady.
Will NEVER stay at this location ever again !!!!!

This was by far one of the most mediocre hotels I've stayed in, certainly not worth the price they charge. For one thing, they advertise the suite we rented as having a "full kitchen" but don't even have a countertop oven (let alone a proper oven), and the suites are categorically *not suites, (a term which inherently implies *more than one room* and in the case of hotels implies *a separate bedroom from the rest of the suite*). It was very clear that little to no money had been put into the maintenance of the rooms. Bits of molding were coming loose, walls had been badly and obviously patched, etc. Don't get me started on the bed - if I were an attorney and a client told me they'd been made to sleep on this rock of a bed in prison, I'd sue for violation of their eighth amendment rights. Breakfast was horrific, even by the generally terrible standards of complimentary continental breakfasts. Counter staff bungled check in and check out, kitchen staff were rude during breakfast. Receptionist kept calling both myself and my friend (both trans) "sir" despite obvious things like pronoun pins to help people refer to us correctly.

Staff was super friendly and attentive, the property and facilities were great and clean and neat. the breakfast buffet had a lot of hot and cold choices. very impressed overall. The property is pet friendly as we were traveling with our dog. there was a parking garage and parking for our 6 by 10 trailer. the price was cheaper than the marriot residence which surprised me.

Friendly staff and great for dogs
We’ve stayed here a few times now with our two dogs and keep coming back because the staff is so friendly. From the front desk to the people serving breakfast, we are always greeted with smiles and excellent hospitality. This is our go-to place to stay when visiting family in Springfield.

The hotel was very convenient to get to shopping, food and the interstate. The shower had some mold and rust and the gap in the door allowed water to get onto the floor soaking the mat. The disposal had a awful smell but otherwise not bad. Housekeeping was very sweet and attentive. She made sure I had everything I needed and grabbed my trash and refreshed my coffee and cups. I will stay again.

Overall, the hotel is nice and the room was nice. The customer service could have been a little better. They clean the rooms every 3 days; however, my room did not get cleaned during my stay. It was clean when i first checked in, but i would have had to ask for them to clean it again. I also smelled someone smoking Marijuana in the hallway, and on the grounds. I'm not sure if the staff was aware. The daily breakfast was nice. Overall, the hotel is decent and I would stay here again.

Could have been better!
Homewood is usually our hotel of choice. When we checked in we were given the wrong room but it was made right with an upgrade to a corner suite. There were several take out boxes left in the fridge, no dish towels, kitchen not the cleanest and the safe didn't work. We overlooked this as we were not in the room that much. If we had been cooking meals we would have complained.
On a positive note the staff was friendly, breakfast was adequate and location was great.

The property was fine and the room was spacious with sitting area and nice kitchen area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The toilet paper holder was loose on the wall, and had to ask for extra toilet paper, since they left 2 partially used rolls and no extras. Only left 1 washcloth for a 4 day stay, so had to request extra of those too.
Was not impressed with their selection for breakfast, not much selection. No individual milk cartons, just a communal carafe, so more possibility of germs!?!

The room was spacious and the kitchen had a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The bathroom was clean too. The big disappointment was breakfast with those rubbery eggs and cardboard sausages. The croissants were fake (just yeast bread formed like a croissant).
