Excellent Stay
Stayed for a week, the check in experience was nice and super friendly! Our room view was as expected and we were happy to see the sunset every day. Very close walk to many nearby restaurants and located right on the beach. Room service was great and all staff were really nice and helpful. Room did have a few kinks but nothing too serious, we would definitely stay here again, perfect hotel if you are on a budget and still want to enjoy paradise!

We stayed for 5 nights. The first room they gave us looked unkept and the bathroom was disgusting with hair in the shower. The bed frame lining has a stain that looked like it was blood and the overall room felt very uncomfortable and unclean. Called for a new room and the updated room was better, but still dirty feeling as the shower in the new room also had hair. There was also a room next door with a literal screaming baby who not cried but screamed all night for hours. The walls are so thin we were not able to sleep for days. The housekeepers were very nice however and valet was also nice but parking was extremely expensive and busy. The resort fee is astronomical with no actual resort amenities but the WiFi.

Cool layout of the hotel, good service, accommodating, and great valet service. A little "run down" but we didn't mind as we didnt plan on being there much. Very thin walls so you can hear people in rooms next to you and anyone in the hallways.

This hotel is in a great location along Waikiki Beach. The room was a bit older and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, there was some grime and hair in the shower. The shower head was low even for me and I’m only 5’8”. The AC wasn’t working but I didn’t mind, it’s Hawaii you expect to be a little hot.
I got a basic room without an upgraded view. To get to my room on the 9th floor I walked down a hallway into the outside so it was more like a motel in that aspect. However, the outside walkway had a great view of diamond head and I could see flamingos in the zoo. My window looked out onto another hotel yet the balcony had a beautiful view of the beach and ocean.
The pool was great and had plenty of chairs and the hotel had different activities every day I was there. Overall for being one of the cheaper hotels in Waikiki I thought it was great. I would stay here again without thinking twice.

Do not stay here
We stayed here for 5 days for my bday weekend celebration in Waikiki. Check in process was horrible. I arrived early around 1:30pm but was told I could not check in until 4pm. I have stayed at the Sheraton previously and I was able to check in at 11am. Upon entering the room the first thing I noticed was the stains on the pillows. I also requested additional towels but did not receive any and had to call 3 more times after to finally receive it. The bathroom smells of mildew and the toilet does not flush properly. My room was Room #1101 and the room next door was getting some sort of maintenance work done so the whole time I kept hearing rolling cart noises and drilling noises. On the last day. I requested a late check out due to our late flight but we were denied and told we could only stay until 12pm and there would be $30 per additional hour.. I have stayed at many many hotels during my travels but this one by far is the worst.
For the same price , we could have stayed at any other hotels around. And you will also constantly hear trash trucks and noises from near by Hostel behind the hotel.

We were out of both hand soap and body wash in the room. The late checkin was great but they wont let you borrow a cart to get your luggage to the room. Traveling with 4 people, it was a pain and we had to take multiple trips.

Twin Fin is an old hotel that they are marketing to be hip and cool and it’s not.
Parking is $50 a day and don’t forget the resort fee is $30 so that’s an additional $80 per day for a hotel that smells like old bathroom.
The rooms are small and they were not cleaned correctly, we found someone old socks on one side under the bed and an McDonald’s cup lid and straw on the other.
The view was good, but honestly any hotel on that strip would give you a good view.
There are no upgrades they will charge you for every little thing. And after all of the fees we could’ve stayed at a nicer hotel.
They have a unique elevator system that takes some time to figure out.
We wouldn’t come back.

Outstanding for location. Nice calm beach in front of hotel directly across street. Excellent for those with children from middle school age to infants.
Staff was friendly and very nice.
Property itself reminded me of Florida hotels from spring break days. I would stay again for location, location which was important to us.

For the price I really expected a lot more. The room was clearly very old. The mattresses were VERY saggy and indented on one side, it was hard not to fall into the indents while trying to sleep. The bathroom was fine, the shower head is small and the shampoo/conditioner bottles on the wall got in the way. The bathroom door also had a weird stain on it. Our door into the room was also very beat up. It was cracked on the frame and had an indent from the lock.
The elevators also broke while on our stay. We all had to take the ONE working service elevator, which took forever to get to whatever floor you needed.
Feels more like a motel. The price is just for the location, which is great for shopping as there are multiple businesses attached to the same building. Be aware that there are a few homeless people who hang around the stores there.

The hotel was a "you get what you pay for" situation. It was not bad but there were some painful elements to the hotel like the Elevators. Unless it was very late at night or early in the morning you would be waiting for the elevator for what felt like 10 min. I wish the sliding door to the balcony would open more. I'm not sure if it is some type of local code or something but it would catch me off guard every time i went out on the balcony. Lastly, when I checked in I got up to the room and did my regular bed bug search which came up clean so that was a good thing. But, I did have a pillow with blood stains on it so that's gross. The staff apologized and got me some new pillows. On the positive side the hotel is in a great spot beach is less than 5 min walk great spot for kids to go to beach as it had a containment wall. Lots of amenities around the hotel.

This property was perfect for our family vacation. Right across the street from the ocean, nice pool and bar/restaurant on site. Our favorite part was the breakfasts every morning- so so yummy. I would come back just for the breakfast.

The hospitality within this hotel is absolutely amazing!!! If you get the chance to meet Amber you will be even more in luck!
I checked into the hotel about 4 hours early and Amber had no problem getting me up to my room early. Once I arrived in my room I was disappointed that I had to paid for an ocean front room, ( which I did get initially ) but the room was on the 5th floor and practically right above the tiki bar and pool area, which I figured would get noisy, and also the palm trees obstructed my view of the ocean.
I called down to Amber and she had no issue reassigning my room and placed me on the ninth floor, this room was perfect.
The rooms are nice, spacious and newly renovated, only issue I had was that the air conditioner did not seem to have any settings for the fan speed, or may have just been broken, the vent did produce cold air but it the fan speed was very low.
Checkout was a breeze and valet holds your bags after checkout if you’d like to do any more exploring before you head to the airport, which was very beneficial.
Lastly, the resort fee actually goes towards several areas which is unusual of most hotels. The resort fee gets you unlimited refills on water, beach chairs, beach towels and more which really helps save you a lot of money.
10/10 recommend.

We love our oceanfront room, conveniently located In the Waikiki area; can’t complain, the staffs were super helpful, valet parking really saved our time; the building can definitely use some updates; only one suggestion is to have a small table and a chair in the room; this is our second time staying here. Breakfast was fantastic, different theme each day with great selections;

Hotel was dated. Bedding was uncomfortable. Room never got cold although we had the therm set on 60. Water pressure was low and the shower curtain wouldn’t stay put. Elevator went out the day we were leaving. Valet parking was way overpriced. It was open to the public as well. For the price of the room, parking should have had much for of a discount. Drinks at the restaurant were terrible. We only had one mai tai. Prime location and great amenities.

Other than the hiccups with the elevator system, the amenities, staff, and accommodations were excellent. Loved the view of the ocean and the friendly, welcoming employees. Would absolutely stay here again, and recommend to anyone traveling to Hawaii.

First and foremost the room was very dirty. Rooms was very Dusty, blood on sheets, carpet was sticky and smelled, hair in shower and all over the bathroom walls, shower was gross. Asked the front desk to have the room deep cleaned but it was not done. The front desk staff were not well informed or in sync with info and policies of the hotel. The credit for candy shack was a joke. They have very few chairs and paddle boards. In fact I sighed up for a paddle board and as I picked it up they had given it to someone else and said I'm out of luck. Very rude. The hotel elevators broke down several times throughout the stay making it hard to navigate up and down. I requested a a late check out of 1:30p due to a friend being in a surf accident and in hospital. They charged $60 with no sympathy. I requested luggage retrieval upon check out due to elevator outage waiting 30 min and finally had to take the stairs and was late to airport. Overall a terrible experience. And it was birthday with my two which was never acknowledge. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Enjoyed our stay. Although old hotel it was clean and staff was friendly and cooperative. The elevators were unreliable, not working right. Bathroom needs mat in shower, was slippery and lighting in bathroom was low, not good for putting on makeup. No microwave. Need new mattresses. Needs ice machines on all floors not just even as you have to go down stairs to access even floors. Access to beach was phenomenal!

The hotel looks dirty. The door to our room was dirty. The drawers in our room had dirt and pet hair.
Great view because we paid extra but they need to do better job with cleaning the rooms. The toilet didn’t work to flush.

We were not given proper information on what charges would be added on upon arriving. We were not told that we are forced to pay extra for our amenities. We were not informed of the hotel not providing parking.we would have to pay 50$ extra every day for valet parking. Or 30 per day down the street. Our rooms never were stocked or cleaned. We constantly had to go to the front desk to restock. The water bottles provided leaked blue ink everywhere. Which is concerning. The toilet would make a loud long noise after flushing and our microwave was stored on the carpet floor and super filthy.

Fabulous location from my perspective! Ocean view was gorgeous, but even if I’d had a mountain view it would have been amazing as it was stunning on that sure. Across the road from a calm part of the beach.
Bed was super comfy!
Unfortunately the rooms are not soundproofed - you can hear alarms from the rooms next door, even with sliding door closed it sounds like it’s open - you can hear everything happening in the pool, on the street, balcony next door, in the bar/restaurant. I was a the 14th floor and it was like I was at street level with the noise.
There were issues with the elevators whilst I was there which saw me climbing 14 flights of stairs a couple of times or 10+ minute waits.
Overall staff were friendly and helpful - first impression wasn’t great with a grumpy front desk clerk, but after that all staff were wonderful.

It was fine. We’ve been to Waikiki several times and thought we’d get out of the main rush therefore we appreciated that aspect being down the Zoo end. It’s an older building with a bit of a makeover, lick of paint , fresh carpet etc. but little things like the older yellowed light switches left on the white painted walls, or the laminate coming off the bathroom doors etc was a dead giveaway of money saving. I’d say the bathroom floors were resurfaced over the existing tiles as it was like sitting on a child’s loo.
Overall we still enjoyed our stay, loved the option that you didn’t need rooms serviced every day, the water bottles and filling stations. We would certainly recommend.

I probably would try a different hotel next time. This place wasn’t horrible but it definitely wasn’t the best. They could do a better job cleaning, shower head had low pressure, hardly any channels on the TV and I saw a bug in the bathroom. The elevators were always malfunctioning the entire stay. I will call down to the front desk and half the time no one would answer. So I would have to walk down and speak to someone.

Great location for many fun things to do. The restaurant tiki was amazing! Best food I have tried. The beach was walking distance less than 2 min, this hotel lets you rent out an umbrella, chair, etc for free during certain hours and it’s super convenient! The view from our balcony was beautiful ocean view. I Will definitely be back!

Staff often checked in with me to see if there was anything I needed or if there was anything they could support with. Beach towels are available and I didn’t know this till the end, but sunscreen is also available by the pool. I hope to stay here again!

It’s an ok hotel. The parking situation is a bit ridiculous if you didn’t know that you must valet at the rate of $50 a night. That really was a surprise expense we didn’t account for and it would have been nice to know that before I rented a car for 4 days. Aside from that the hotel really is a 70s Palm Springs vibe. They didn’t have ice machines on every floor which wasn’t convenient. They only clean your room every other day also doesn’t seem right when you’re paying daily for resort fees. Our total resort fees plus parking was $450 and I didn’t even have a clean room every day and had to go on a different floor if I needed ice. One thing ill give them is that they do seek eco friendly, they have the soaps and shampoos on the wall and they give you refillable water bottles and even free sunscreens. I think 3 stars is a fair assessment of the hotel.

I had a Buffett breakfast with Prime Rib on the 21st Floor restaurant and fresh Marlin and BBQ pork at the 3rd floor Tiki bar. Swam at Waikiki Beach and in the pool. Great place and great location.

Special thanks to Lillian for making our family's stay truly exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly – our fourth visit to Oahu, and it was the most enjoyable. The hotel offers numerous activities for young kids, and the availability of complimentary chairs, umbrellas, and paddle boats is incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the hotel's amenities.

The description of the room was incorrect. Partial ocean view with balcony does not have a balcony to sit and relax. It is a sliding door and that’s it. You stand and look out. Not even enough room to stand out on the balcony. Cleaning of the room took forever. We would be out from 7:00 am and be back around 2:00 pm room not clean. Would put the do not disturb sign so we could get ready for the evening and our room would get a note saying “ we miss your room because the sign was up”. When are we to get clean up then? The elevators were so slow and they broke down. Trash outside the room by the elevators was stacked so high and was not picked up till the next day.

What I liked about the twin fin was the staff were very welcoming. I never felt like they were just there to deal with me. they were very prompting to get things fixed & clean. The lobby & main areas were okay & modern. The property definitely is an older venue. The rooms were pretty small & gave the appearance of a land lord special. All that aside the views & staff were amazing. So I’d easily give it 7.5 out of 10

This hotel was wonderful, the staff was nice, the housekeeping did an amazing job for us each day, and the rooms were nice and comfortable. We got a king size, ocean view room and I would highly recommend it. It was beautiful to watch the sun rise and set and hangout on the balcony and enjoy the peacefulness of the area. The bed was comfy and the room was overall really nice. The use of towels and the free three rentals was amazing as well. It was also reasonably priced for being an ocean view property. I will definitely be booking here for our next years trip!

This was an absolute MARVELOUS find, the neighboring properties were not feasible for a one night stay, and this would have been my pick even if it weren't priced for me to be able to make the choice that I did! The grounds were very updated and posh, the hotel staff was wonderful and the location couldn't have been beat. Will definately return, though I have family close by to stay with, just for the luxury!

Stayed for 5 days, 4 nights. We were greeted kindly by the host. She put us in a room that she felt had the best view, that’s great and all but I felt as though she put us in a partial ocean view room when I paid for an ocean view room so I was little upset on that. The room was ok, there were stains of coffee on the bedside table and the bathtub was stained as well. The room had a horrible smell, probably of mildew or something. The rooms definitely need to be updated, the carpet in the rooms are a definite no go, should be tile or wood panels. Other than that it was a fine decent room. Would I stay again, probably not unless it was updated.

It was great!
We booked the ocean front, and the views were amazing. Balcony is small but still nice. It was a basic room, clean with comfortable beds. Nothing fancy about it, some of the furniture was old, especially the table. Actually there wasn't much furniture in the room but it had all the basic amenities, and we could have easily stayed there longer. Nightclub downstairs plays loud music past midnight but it didn't bother me much. Location was excellent, room was reasonable priced. Resort fee is ridiculous, especially since we didn't care for any amenities like beach chair and umbrella.
Overall enjoyed the experience!

There was not good air circulation in the room and no fan in the bathroom so the room consistently smelled of mildew. The phone didn’t work and it took some time to coordinate maintenance to change out the phone. The USB plug ins did not work but the maintenance fella gave us a surge protector for additional outlets. The manager did credit me the resort fees so they were apologetic. The Tiki Bar was nice and fun vibe, good service. Wished they had a hot tub but the pool area was adequate. Really well located across the street from the beach and easy walking to restaurants and shops.

We booked a two double bed room for $1680 which included $400 resort fee. I would not call this a resort. It’s more like a hotel so the resort fee didn’t do justice. Parking is $40 per night which is very expensive but we found free parking a couple blocks away in the south. Room has beautiful partial ocean view and a small balcony. Room is small but it came with a small refrigerator, kettle and coffee maker. Pool is small and not heated so we couldn’t use it at all as the water was pretty cold. Their beach candy rental store service is nice. You get to rent some beach gear for two hours for free. We tried the boogie and surf board. Location is perfect as it is right at the beach but at the end of the happening street. There is also a shuttle stop right outside the hotel. It was a bit noise though at the night even at the 12th floor because of the restaurant downstairs. We enjoyed the complimentary star gazing on Monday evening. We got to see moon, Saturn, Jupiter and its moons, and stars. The beach is great for families with little kids as the lagoon kinda area is very safe for swimming. Although, further down where people were surfing, it had a lot of rocks which made it hard to surf or walk. It also lacked good waves to play in like the Kailua beach on the east side. Good vegan/vegetarian options around to eat one go which is Down to Earth grocery and cafe. The street is lovely to walk around with lots of stored and cafes.

While the hotel and room itself were a little outdated, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly and helpful (the periodic text from staff checking in was a plus). The ocean view room was perfect, and having the lanai made it even better! The easily accessible towels and complimentary reef-safe SPF were super convenient and much appreciated. Breakfast at the Coconut Club was delicious and the views were phenomenal. One of our favorite parts was the stargazing that was included (if you’d like), we have never had a hotel offer anything like that.

I was traveling alone. They put me on a floor with no ice and in a room that had Not been remodeled. There was mold in several places in bathroom. I called asking if the only restaurant needed reservations I was told no but they hung up without offering the restaurants number. Ordered $40 dinner came out cold from kitchen. Need I say more! Never stay there again.

Great place with awesome view of the ocean, friendly staff and very convenient location. One point to note is that if you want b/fast at the hotel, you have to register at the reception a day earlier. It is served on the 21st floor - food is so good! 😊

Twin Fin is in a great location; across the road from the beach and with a convenience store downstairs; great bar attached to the hotel and many assorted options for dinner and drinks close by. Flat walk in any direction for the beach, Diamond Head, shopping and to the other end of Kalākaua Avenue. Hotel hallways and rooms look a little tired but rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pool and sun area is large and has great views onto the beach for fabulous sunsets. Valet parking available and helpful staff for organising day trips etc. The Tiki Bar & Grill was great for lunch, dinner and drinks.

Great hotel right across the street from the beach. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Close to the zoo, Diamond Head, and the Waikiki Walkway. There is a resort fee so take advantage of their amenities, including beach equipment rentals.

You can’t beat the location, at the end of Waikiki beach, the ocean view rooms overlook the whole beach and make for outstanding views.

Absolutely loved our stay here!! The refrigerator wasn’t working in the initial room booked, but customer service moved us in another room with no hesitation! Staff was very friendly & attentive!! Will definitely book this hotel again!!

The property is located across from the beach and next to the zoo . We had two small issues that were resolved by staff by the next day . Staff are friendly and courteous . Looking forward to our next visit already ! Thank you Twin Fin !

Even though this is a resort, it did not feel like one. They don’t have resort accommodations and rooms are okay but not dated. Also, reception desk clerks need better customer service.

Great value property! Being one of the lower cost beachfront hotels, we plan on always staying here. Obviously lacks in some areas compared to the upscale hotels, but how much time do you actually spend in your hotel here? The necessities are taken care of and overall good quality. Overall, we love the Twin Fin and will continue booking this stay.
