The corridor between the elevator and room is soooo cold. The front desk staff can be more enthusiastic. The air conditioner in the room is a bit too loud

The hotel is within a mile of the campus and Cambridge downtown. The staff at the hotel was very friendly, room was quiet. Nice view of the City. The bathroom in my room could use updating. Old shower and tub. The shower was hard to turn on where it’s controlled at the tub faucet.

Well to start you have to pay $45 for parking so wasn’t happy about that. Then I messaged the hotel asking for a room that had a good view of the city which they said they would put in the notes for me. We got a room on the 2nd floor right over the front door entrance. It was so noisy cars coming and going plus car alarms going off and every time someone turned on the water it was so loud it woke us both up. Not to mention the first room they gave us was a smaller room then what I paid for. The wasn’t a good visit for us and will be the last to this hotel.

Such a lovely place to stay! Judit at the front desk was especially helpful with recommendations and directions. The views of the Boston skyline from our room were amazing!

Beautiful view from the room, good location that was pretty central to where we were going to be. Bed was not super comfortable and there were spme additional fees tact on (destination fee) we receiced vouchers for breakfast or the sushi house but we were there to explore the foods in the neighborhoods.
Had we known of the fee we may have selected another hotel.
The market place had very limited selection in comparison to other courtyard marriotts we've been in as well.
It wasn't a bad experience, it was comfortable, just felt expensive for what it was.

Our heat was set to 78 in the room and could not be changed by ourselves. If we wanted it comfortable to sleep we would have had to call the front desk at midnight & wait for them to come upstairs, super unacceptable in a room that you paid for in my opinion. My only other complaint is that housekeeping doesn’t do a great job checking your rooms before arrival, I noticed as soon as I entered my smoke detector was covered with a shower cap & tied in place with a phone charger! The past guests were smoking in the room & I hate to think if I didn’t notice that & point it out I would’ve gotten blamed for it.

Always my preferred property when visiting Harvard! Brahim is very helpful as is the entire staff. Everyone seems to be on the same page to make your stay wonderful!

Considering the price, 1, they didn't even provide bottled water each day after the check-in day (2 were provided). So we need to buy somewhere else by ourselves, which sometimes was inconvenient. 2, And, they didn't have a locker in the room, which is important for some customers. 3, I heard other customers met in the bar said the parking was expensive. Yes, but it is expensive everywhere :(.

This location was not far from Fenway or the airport. The hotel sits near the water and a nice little neighborhood. There is a Trader Joe’s within walking distance. My room was large with a window that opened up for fresh air. The bed was comfortable and extra blankets were provided in the closet.
I was surprised by the $25 destination fee. They do give you a coupon to use at one of the on site restaurants; therefore getting that money back. Since it was my first time here and had little time to spend in Boston, I ate in the downtown area. I went to a concert and was gone before the breakfast service. Therefore, couldn’t use the coupon.
The hotel is not at fault for this part. I found it difficult to get a rideshare to and from the hotel. When I left the concert, it was almost 30 min for a ride to pick me up. I opted to make the 41 minute walk back to the hotel; it was lovely. Found the same thing in the morning when trying to get to the airport. Make sure to make extra time for this.

We loved staying here! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is super easy to get to and close to both Harvard and downtown. Right by the water, great view of the city as well. Gated parking which is wonderful and safe. Trader Joes is the building right next to it and a Walgreens/Wholefoods is within in 10 minutes walking distance. Extremely convenient. The cleaning staff was so thorough and kind. Only dislike is that parking is 45 DOLLARS A NIGHT. Great otherwise.

Beds and furniture were extremely firm and uncomfortable. You could literally stand on both the beds and the chairs and neither would give. It was like sleeping on a rock it was so hard that the floor might have been softer.

Do not stay if you have a baby
We have a baby and we needed a microwave for warming milk and food. Unfortunately, the room did not have a microwave and we'd need to go downstairs every time we needed a microwave. Why provide a fridge if we can't warm anything. The parking was limited and expensive. Breakfast was not anything amazing. The $25 voucher isn't enough for 2 adults and a toddler. Go to Trader Joe's to stock up on food.

The hotel is located in a relatively centric area. It has a nearby trader’s joe and a Whole Foods which is convenient for long stays. The room is kind of old and with a bad sound insulation. I heard all talking from the room next door.

Perfect for our trip
Check-in was smooth and quick. There is a parking garage which charges $45 a day for hotel guests which isn’t terrible to ensure your vehicle is safe. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were a family of four and did not feel like we were on top of one another. I would stay here again.

The hotel was the best price in the area but once checking in they added two kinds of taxes and then checking out they added an additional destination fee of $25 so in the end the price on Hotels.com of $165.00 per night came to a total of $230.00! with all taxes and fees included.It is an old hotel but the best part was the breakfast.It was not included in the price but we were given a $25 credit at time of check in to use for food.I think its to compensate for the destination fee!Once we checked out they said included in the destination fee was using their bicylces or kayaks for free.

When I get to a hotel room I wipe everything down with a surface disinfectant for my own peace of mine. The room appeared to be clean until I lifted the toilet seat and saw fecal splashes. That was really disgusting and unacceptable.

The location was nice, on the river, near Trader Joes and Whhole foods. The hotel needs a renovation desperately. The upholstery on the furniture in our room and lobby was torn and worn at the seams, the bathroom was very dimly lit, and it just seemed tired. But the location was great, nice to walk along the river. We enjoyed "Alive and kicking lobsters" and few blocks away. Reasonably priced lobster, clams , lobster rolls that were fresh off the truck. Very casual in a parking lot, but delicious

Very friendly desk attendants. They allowed me to a late checkout. They had a room ready for me early, and kept my luggage for me behind the counter. Nice lounge area as well. Wonderful Hibachi restaurant and great bar service in hotel. Very comfortable beds and directly across from Charles River where I watched the row teams practice. Lovely location. Right now to Harvard. A Dunkin a few steps away as well.

Overall, it's fine. It's in a convenient spot, is clean, and the room is good sized. My main complaint is that we pre-paid for a room with 2 beds, which cost more than a king room, but when we checked in we got a king room with an extra cot. It was obviously less comfortable than a real bed plus we overpaid for the room. The resort fee is also silly when your main amenity is free bikes that aren't very enticing in 40 degree weather.

More like a highway dive motel than Marriot Courty
Sushi restaurant on first floor closed. We had chosen this restaurant in part to have this on-site. Ice machine in hall broken. Got river view - paid extra for it- but it was hazy due to extremely dirty windows. The shower made a horrible squeaking noise no matter how I adjusted it. Extremely fast shower to end the noise. Bathtub very shallow.
One positive - easy in and out of on-site parking using room card.

Visit for Athletic Matches at Harvard
Room was good except for the heat. Had to keep the window open to keep temperature around 70–72. Service was ok but it all depended on which staff was working the front desk. Some staff were very responsive and others only did the bare minimum to help with issues. The Japanese steakhouse was very good, reasonably priced and the staff was great. We visited there once for food and a couple times just for drinks.
The location was perfect with only a 20 minute walk to Harvard. Short Uber ride to Boston for a day of site seeing. I would stay again but might look for something else if the price and distance to the sites and Harvard were similar.

Staff was great. My stay was pleasing, all I wanted to do was sleep because of how comfortable I was. I would recommend and I would definitely go again. Next time, I HAVE to try the restaurant in the hotel. (They also give you a menu of a pizzeria that is open after hours. I loved that!)

I was on a business trip for 5 days. The staff is super nice. And the location is very convenient for shopping at Trader Joe's nearby. Car rental and subway is 15 minutes away. Room is clean and has a nice view of the river. Excellent experience and will come back.
