My first room was a mess, broken toilet that leaked water, broken desk and chair and the safe did not work correctly. Then I had to pay extra to get a room that was safe and had working furniture. It cost me 40.00 more a night. I should get my money back!!

It’s not kid friendly. There is no tub or stool to use sink for kids. The rails on the balcony are easy for kids to fall through. The carpet is terrible and feels dirty. The restaurant food is too expensive for the quality.

The view of the ocean view room was incredible. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They remember you and are extremely accommodating and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to everything. No need to rent a car or call for an Uber. I will definitely be staying here again!

Pros: Close to the beach, convenient to walk to stores/restaurants, friendly staff, clean bathroom.
Cons: small fridge that has a 2-hour timer for the cool setting so if you leave for the day, the fridge temp doesn’t stay cool enough and there’s no microwave in the room, it has to be rented on per day basis.

It is probably the best priced 4-star hotel nearby. I was concerned a little bit from some negative comments by others, but it surprised me. The rooms are clean. We were given two rooms with ocean view which is really nice. MAC restaurant is great. I had breakfast every day there. The food is fresh and well made. Area is quiet yet very convenient. Overall great experience.

Hidden fee and entry driveway disappointment
The building itself and the room are not bad; some staff can be friendly, however, the whole experience was not great. Firstly, there is $49 hidden resort fee plus tax not disclosed during booking on hotels.com. I had to call to even get a receipt for it. The hotel manager says it's the fault of hotels.com not disclosing it to the customers, while hotels.com agent kept saying I should have seen it during booking. The charge was not listed on my hotels.com receipt (I was not the only victim, see other reviewers' complaints), and I'm pretty sure it was not shown during booking though I have no way to go back in time to verify. Secondly, the entry drive of the hotel is very narrow and has only two lanes. I needed 5mins to check in, but the valet person chased me into the lobby to move my car, as otherwise the driveway will be blocked. However, there are no parking spaces next to the building (signs say no parking anytime though some cars are parked there regardless). It took me three circles around the blocks to find a space, and I had to walk a distance with my luggage in tow. My car was a day-rental that needed to be returned right after checking in, and it does not make sense to pay for valet parking just for checking in.

This property has nice rooms but that's about it. The area is unsafe with a lot of drug addicts and honeless people around, and we had to book at another hotel to get out of the area even though there was no refund. The resort fee is quite high for the amenities offered and not worth the value. The staff were good but there's little they can do. The noise is significant being on a bus route. We booked an ocean view but got to mainly look at the garbage area of a building and a parking lot.

Bad experience wuth hidden fees
BEWARE. The hotel charges the spa fee (59 USD per night) whether you use it or not. This fee is not included in the quote they send or in the confirmation email.

Staff members were super helpful. Location is near Waikiki beach as well as lots of restaurants and stores. Clean hotel rooms and there are ice machines available in multiple floors, as well as a water fountain in the lobby.

Customer service at front room check-in
We wanted to check-in our room early, we called and Michelle told us to come over - it was around 11:30a. Once we arrive at the hotel no rooms were available. She did give us a key to access the hotel. We headed down to the beach and returned to the hotel around 4:30p and lady at check-in wasn't friendly at all, don't know if she (looked like a slender Hawaiian lady in her early 50) was having a bad day, she give us our room key and didn't explain how to access the elevator or ask if we had any questions.

AC vent was dirty. Not sure if it’s related, I woke up in the morning with a sore throat but recovered after a day outdoors; only to found myself repeating the cycle the next day. Saw dark spots around shower caulking. Don’t expect daily room service. I had to call to arrange a room service when I exhausted all towels and shampoo. Way below expectations compared to hotels at similar star levels or price ranges.

It was our first time staying here. Unfortunately, they were running behind so didn't have our rooms ready yet. We chilled up at the pool till then. Took about 2 extra hours. With that said, they were very apologetic and comped us on parking and resort fee so that made up for it.
We had a mountain view, but seeing the view of the ocean from the elevator bay makes me believe that view would have been solid too.
Overall, for the price, location, and service, I would recommend this hotel. Check it out!

Stayed here for 4 nights. House keeping service need to request one day early, we requested but got misunderstood, the lady only gave us the fresh towel and didn’t put the request, so end up our room didn’t get clean for 4 days.

Pros: Central location easy access to beach and restaurants.
Cons: One of the front desk attendants was very rude, toilet paper was rationed and we had to call front desk to replenish. The room had a coffee machine but coffee was not available unless we called down for it.
The bathroom was dirty and the toilet bowl was not properly cleaned.

Property was great. Didnt realize they would charge my credit card during my stay, with out my approval, to make sure the balance of the resort fees and parking were met. They just say will settle at check out. Nope, didnt happen that way. Please read all fine print if you book 3rd party.

Stay here for a week. Cards kept getting deactivated. I got one on the app and it was the same thing. Also I felt rushed while checking out. I’ve never experienced that before and I didn’t like it. Will not be staying here again when I come back.

I like the cleanliness of the hotel but what I didn’t like was the bad communication of having valet parking and no explanation that it was 45.00 a day instead of paying resort fees when I got that they asked for me to pay a 375.00 and I would get what was left after the took resort fees on the day of checkout I never got what was left back and then got charge 101.00 as well on top of that I definitely recommend them but make sure to ask questions because they will not tell you

We had several problems with our room. Door kept slamming, had to call maintenance to fix. Bathroom tub stopper broken sitting in tub. Tried to plug something into the lamp and it started smoking. Misrepresented resort fees as a total of 45.00 for my stay. It was 45.00 a day and I did confirm that when they told me the amount.

There are extremely long wait times to get your rental car when you use valet parking. I had to wait 20+ minutes every day. This is not a good hotel to stay for business. When I came back, I had to wait 10-15 minutes in line to drop my car. I also wanted to get something from the store on the hotel and twice it closed an hour early.... very inconvenient.

The hotel was very nice. And super convenient. The pool area is relaxing and the bartenders are great. The AC worked very well and the beds were comfortable. The only drawback I can say is the valet parking is not convenient where you cannot set a time to pick up your car. You have to wait in line 1st come first serve, which sometimes takes only a minute, and sometimes it could take a half an hour.

The hotel staff and location is absolutely wonderful. However, the noise of adjacent rooms, cleanliness of the room itself and outdated decor/fixtures leave something to be desired. Look closely and most things are dirty or dusty in the room. The shower head was awful and the light fixture on the vanity mirror is rusty.

The view from our room on 33rd floor is amazing! Lobby interior is nice and cozy. We love that almost everything is walkable from this location. Recreational deck is also a plus. Our daughter who is 1 year and a half enjoyed playing mini golf so much. We also had their famous mochi pancake from MAC 24/7 and it was delicious! Will definitely recommed this place to fam and friends! Thank you, Hilton Waikiki beach for this memorable stay ❤️

I love the location of the property. The valet drivers were all sweet & patience. The only thing I have a concern about is the refrigerator situation of the hotel. It’s kind of ridiculous that you have to turn it every two hours to keep it going. I wish house keeping was 2 or 3 days instead of 4 days.

It is a good location but definitely not what we were expecting for a Hawaiin “resort”. If you’re going with kids I would recommend somewhere else. The pool broke, you only get one item to use at the beach, you have to request a room cleaning. Wasn’t awful but wasn’t great.

Short Visit to See Our Son
The hotel is in good condition/well maintained. Most staff are friendly. The hotel is a block off the strip and not as glamorous as those on the strip. Understandable as the price is more reasonable than those on the strip. Beware; $45 resort fee that was not indicated on Hotels.com (shameful) and $45 a day to park adds $90 to the room rate plus tax on those fees. The resort fee includes ONE beach chair ONE boogie board or ONE surfboard use a day...you know because we all travel by ourselves on Hawaiian vacations and don't want to share those beach moments lounging surfing or playing in the waves with your spouse or kids. Stupid. There was ONE robe in the closet. Want another, put it on the bill. The 10th floor rec-deck is nice. It has a pool, hot tub, sitting area with gas fire tables, field turf patch with sunbathing loungers and 9 holes of mini golf. Also a bar, outdoor shower and restrooms. Great amenity and fairly new. Well, some drunk decided to play on the handicap lift at the pool and torqued it off the mounting cracking pool tiles. This caused the pool to shut down for repair. The mistake the hotel made was shutting down the entire rec-deck. You could not sunbath, relax by the fire tables, play mini golf or have a drink at the outside bar because the pool was drained of water. Thankfully, enough guests (including me) complained so the hotel erected a fence around the pool and opened the deck for the other features. Smart move management, after 2 days of lost use.

When we checked in we were told told that room will only be clean every 4 days unless we requested it. Bear that in mind we would expect at least the dustbin being empty out daily and room tea and coffee being restock daily, but nothing!!! When asked on day two we told told that they are short staffs and room won't be clean until the afternoon, but nothing happened at 3pm until we rang again, only then did the cleaner came!!!

Everything was very clean, but maid service was every 4 days. That mean that meant the only maid service I had was the day before I left. Would have made a lot more sense to have that service half way through my 5 night stay. Couple of other problems with bedside light and alarm clock. No big deal.

I've stayed in 4 other hotels in Waikiki but this was my favourite, so far, despite my rant below. Considering we were there for 2 weeks, it was a relaxing and hassle-free stay. The pool was tiny but the beach was a short stroll away. The lobby was inviting and the gardens were well-maintained. The man at front desk (I think his name was Dexter?) was welcoming and very helpful; but the lady at front desk, not as much. We had two queen beds but the room and bath were clean, spacious and well-maintained. It would have been nice to have seating for two people but we made do.
The area, while close to the beach, was quiet enough not to have the 'beach crowd. It was great to have a bus and trolley stop about 1-2mins walk away. Also, there is a laundry room on the 9th floor (the machines take coins or card) which was so convenient for us.
I would have given this place 5 stars if not for the fact that the rooms were cleaned every 4 days only. It was unsanitary to have the trash lined up on the floor halls for collection. Also, we're not messy but if we have, for example, sand on our shoes, we don't have access to a broom to sweep it off. You can call Housekeeping if your room needs cleaning but if Hilton can't offer this service daily, then lower your prices for this lack of service. This is not the thing to cut costs on and will be something to think of the next time I book accommodation in Hawaii, considering there are other hotels that offer daily cleaning and free breakfast.

Had Jewlery stolen from our room by the maid service. Spoke to front desk associate and the contacted housekeeping which then alerted housekeeper before involving security. After following up because we didn’t hear anything from Management we was told to file claim with our insurance. Lock up your items since you don’t know when housekeeping will actually clean your room.

It is a great place to stay if you don’t mind a 5 minute walk to Waikiki beach. There’s sushi restaurant across from us and a convenient store. Pool area is fun with golfing and corn holes. Our kids really enjoyed it! I do recommend renting a van if you’re vacationing with kids. Ask for a microwave in your room if you’re expecting to eat left over.

The staff ignored my request to have the room checked out because of the really bad cigarette smoke smell in my room, after a few days the smell went away, and then they "cleaned" my room and the smell was back

This place is an absolute dump. The hotel room smelled of cat urine upon check-in. Got respiratory symptoms from all the mold.
The hotel destroyed a bunch of my valuables and when confronted, staff refused to address the issue. They gave me a front desk manager's email, who has also ducked my emails.
They charged extra for things that were supposed to be "free", such as wi-fi. Got slapped with the good old resort fees - but the real fee using this resort is that your belongings will smell damp and moldy long after the visit.

The location is great, walkable to Waikiki beach and a lot of choices in term of what to eat. Hotel is a little out of date, but clean and functional. One thing they didn’t mention was they only clean your room once every four days. If you need to have your room clean, then you need to put in a request which is supposed to be in one day advance.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Really short walk to the beach and convenience stores. Short ride over to the malls. Close to the airport. Pool area was nice.
Couldnt stream movies on the tv but I didnt mind too much. Only cleaned every 4 days but wasnt a huge issue for us. And had an issue with one valet being extremely rude. But other than that it was a really nice stay.
