Overall nice stay. Close the TPA Airport. Busy area as it’s downtown. Lots of places accessible by walking. Only thing I didn’t care for was mandatory valet parking. Would stay again though.

This was by far the worst property I’ve stayed at in years. The room was outdated and ran down , toilet ran all night long with no maintenance ever showing up . Loud construction all around the property along with the Smell of dust and old carpet stench along with someone warming up horrible smelling food all day long. Felt like people were currently living out of the hotel rooms .. and im easy to please I don’t expect much as I travel very frequently so I know it is tough . The location is also horrible it is at the end of a one way street so you have to turn around every time to acces anything.

Hotel smelled like weed the entire time we were there. When it didn’t smell like weed it had a Musky smell. Dinning was okay but very expensive for what you get.
42 dollars a night to park your car. Ridiculous.
Only good thing was it was right on river walk.
Room itself was old. Back door didn’t lock and we had two kids. Needs a paint job.

This hotel looks great on the website but it is not. I was supposed to have a balcony room but didn’t get one. As soon as you step off the elevator the halls are stale smelling and stains all over the carpets. The charge you $43 to park then a “resort fee” of $25 for what I don’t know, I guess to use their pool which is crazy. The room gets extremely hot at night I woke up dripping in sweat. The only good thing was the location of the hotel.

The room was filthy. Carpet was dirty, not vacuumed. Bathroom counter was filthy. Furniture in room was beat up. Dirty comforter on the bed. Blood stain on sheet. I would not recommend anyone to this hotel.

Loved the location. The overnight front desk lady was very rude. Our rooms air conditioning was broken and they switched it to another room which also had a broken air conditioner. We had to sleep in 76 degrees and was miserable.

The service was wonderful. It was also nice to be able to walk to the places I wanted to go to. The only problem I had was with how loud it was. I was often woken up by doors slamming, also music playing downstairs outside was heard clearly in the room. This made it difficult to get sleep.

Location was great. Staff was plesant and helpful.
Our room AC was noisy and had trouble cooling the room during the day.
Maint looked at it while we were gone, checked with front desk - no info so we assumed was fixed.
Woke up many times because the compressor gurgled.
Nice hotel and staff, not a good night sleep

Overall stay was good as expected.They were able to upgrade to beach view luckily But unfortunately the parking lot was too small and offsite parking was provided in a lot down the street 3 minute walk. Not a fan of my new vehicle left in a place unattended.

It was 95 degrees outside and our air conditioner in our room barely worked, we didn’t have a blow dryer and they charged extra fees after we checked out that wasn’t already included.

This location was perfect for my plans. It is right on the Riverwalk, hence the name!! They had a DJ everyday from about 11-5 and the music was jamming. The trolley is just a couple blocks up. It was beautiful and a great time.
The one thing that could be better is the food service. My food came back cold on more than one occasion and it took forever to come out. Service was basically island time and the servers didnt have a sense of urgency.
Overall though all was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed there memorial weekend, and my room would not get below the temp of 74 degrees the first 2 days I was complaining about it and the staff said they'd have someone look... Nothing changed.
Went down there the next morning and brought it up and the supervisor said we can bring you a fan. I simply wanted a room change and it was like pulling teeth. I will never stay at that hotel again.

They had a great vibe down by the pool. A lot of people hung out by the pool, I don’t believe they had enough staff attending the bar. It took close to 12 minutes to get simple cocktails.

It was the worst there parking garage had rods sticking out the ground and blew my tire and they didn’t want to take responsibility. And have to pay to park where you already payed to stay.

There was a big card in the room to scan for meal room service. When I called no answer so when I asked about it at front desk I was told they do not offer that any more Ok, but why have the card in the room then?

Visit for work training onsite. Property recently acquired by Hilton and has not yet received the Hilton touch. Before the front desk staff greet you, the distinct hotel smell will; think riverwalk water trapped in carpet. Room had a balcony with view, but the door didn't work. Many walls in need of deep cleaning or repainting. Nice location, would consider revisiting after renovations.

From the moment I walked in until we checked out I loved it!
The front desk was super helpful! My 1st room I was assigned too had a stench and right away they assisted me with a new room! Everyone was very welcoming and nice! The bartenders as well !
Loved the view from my room! And also loved the walking distance to certain restaurants! We will deff be staying here again!

The woman at the front desk over charged me even after reviewing my receipt and informing her the price was wrong. I was rushed away from the desk and overall greeted with hostility from this particular woman.

We booked 2 room for 1 night, at check in the rooms were warm and muggy, we set a/c settings lower and left for a concert. Upon returning many hours later the rooms were still warm. The office staff said the chiller was down and to report issue to our booking agent, that was Expedia.

In town for UT graduation, 1st time staying at this Hilton. The property was about what I expected. I heard from other parents that the hotel needs updating and it does. The ATM at the elevator was OOS all weekend. My bathtub faucet needs to be fixed. But the view of UT from the balcony was well worth the little problems. Had an issue with the breakfast staff who seated us but never returned with menus. Several guest arrived after us and had waitstaff service.
We waited long enough, and left the restaurant and found the waitstaff that told us where to sit out in the valet area going on a break. And the Fire Alarm at 02:30 in the morning. Evacuated the building, Fire showed up. Never heard a word from Hotel staff .

The hotel was nice, clean and convenient but our room was HOT and the air conditioning didn’t work well. Also the shower was clogged and we had to take super quick showers because the tub filled fast. We asked for maintenance, but they didn’t arrive.

The room was dated and felt dirty. Furniture stained,corners of the room hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The bathroom was old cramped and the tub looked dirty. Carpet looked dirty. The only bonus was the location was perfect for visiting the River Walk. Note DJ plays music so loud on certain days it’s annoying. Don’t come ready to relax or take a nap after a day of travel when the pool party is going on. The 300 guest has to deal with extremely loud music for the 30 people at the pool. We walked the whole Riverwalk and our hotel was the only one with rap music bellowing out. Not everyone is in their twenties and appreciates it.

Room was very outdated and not very clean. Bed was super uncomfortable but covers were nice. Bartender was not the best very slow talked to everyone but us. Drinks were not good at all and it ended up being 60$ for two drinks that were horrible.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. I love the location, annex proximity to University of Tampa. There are probably fancier hotels in the neighborhood, but this is friendly affordable and walkable. I always always enjoy my stay.

Rude front desk, rest was good!
Everything was a good experience with the exception of the woman at the frint desk - Zoey. She was extremely rude upon check in and when i asked a question to clarify a change that was made, she responded very aggressively. This was my first impression of the property as she was the first person i saw. Other than this interaction, everything else was great. Sheila (maid) was absolutely amazing and the sweetest hotel staff member ever!

Paid for a larger room with balcony and when we arrived they didn’t have it and put us in a smaller room that cost $90 less and told us the price was the same. Hotel is run down and the rooms smell like mold and the walls and baseboards are filthy. I’ve never even left a review but for $300 this place is horrible should be a 1 star. Also they leave out the charge you $25 travel fee or some nonsense and you can redeem it at their breakfast but they tried to charge for my two kids that are 6 and under.

I had a terrible experience with Hotel Tampa Riverwalk. I purchased two nights stay with them. I get to the hotel on Saturday afternoon about 2:00. The man at the front desk tells me that there are no rooms available at the moment (which I do understand check-in isn't technically until 4:00 so that is fine) he says he can hold our luggage and takes our phone number and says he will call us when our room is ready. So we have paid for valet to take our car, and they took our bags. We had a concert to go to so we head off to the concert trusting that our room will definitely be ready by the time we get back from the concert. Well we return later that night after the concert and they tell us that they have no room for us, even though we have already paid for two nights. So here it is almost midnight, and we have no place to stay. We are all the way from Virginia mind you. They were not apologetic; they did not try to help us find another hotel to stay at. They did not offer to reimburse our valet. They had no remorse and didn't try to help in anyway. They were rude and unkind. I was completely shocked. They just kicked me and my fiance' out where no where to go in the middle of the night. Terrible customer service! Absolutely terrible!

This is advertised as a 4 star, I won’t give it a 1 star. They just bought this property from Sheraton and did no changes, when you go to reception and complain there excuse is they are trying to collect money to renovate. AC doesn’t work properly, smell, dents, stains, mold, glass sliding door has rust around the frame, also the sliding glass door has a tint that is peeling and makes the glass look like it’s cracking so the river walk view we paid for never got. A please don’t make the mistake to open the sliding door your room will never get under 72. Pricing $300 for 1 king room $45 $25 resort fee $25 for basic breakfast if you choose to have it there.
To top it of valet killed my car battery.
I wouldn’t mind paying all this if I really was getting a 4 star room.

Great location, but not the best experience/stay
Check-in was wonderful! Zoe was very kind & helpful! When we returned to the hotel, around 11:30-11:45pm, I asked the front desk (I think her name is something like Danielle) for food (snack bar) and bottled water. She was not kind or helpful. Told me the restaurant was closed, and I could check with the bar, if they are willing to help me with water. Went to the bar, only to be ignored for about 5-10 minutes. 1 bartender for all the loud rowdy people ending the night for last call. Finally was paid attention to, to find out I need to get bottled water from the front desk. A nice gentleman helped me with the bottled water at the front desk. We were forced to pay $25 for services, which we didn't need or want, so we wasted our $25 on an expensive beer and cocktail from the closing bar. Did not see any areas to gain food/snacks, which most hotels offer. The bed was mildly comfortable, but the pull out couch was horribly uncomfortable. One of our pillows reeked of B.O. so we couldn't use it. Loved the location, but cannot say we're dying to return for future travel.

The Hotel staff was super good. The guys in valet parking very nice and fast. Once I arrive, the bed sheets is dirty, the room is not very good for the price, the carpet was dirty too, the air conditioner windows has dirty and the balcony is not clean. I don’t recommend this hotel.

I was disappointed I had reserved a king size bed and water view. I had the street view where loud noises were. Checking was horrible. Was so disappointed because a lady who works for with McDill recommend Tampa Riverwalk. Did they do this because I was old? I couldn’t even get them to discuss with me. I can see the street in Dallas.

Room wasn’t ready at check in time-gave us a different one and charged me more. Had special drinks for the concert at the restaurant- served in a plastic margarita glass with ants floating on top. No need for that bar or food credit because I wouldn’t go near the bar or restaurant again.

Location is prime, HOWEVER.. 3 nights into my stay at 3 am a security guard and a RANDOM PEDESTRIAN came banging on my door trying to get in my room stating someone left something in there days ago, dealt with the rudest employee I’ve ever met when we confronted this issue at the front desk, he even threatened to kick us out!! Then the next night we met another couple who stated someone also was in their room!!! Felt very unsafe staying here after this, even tho they comped us one night out of our stay, I would NEVER stay here again or recommend to anyone. Sliding glass doors for the patio don’t lock all the way, and the toilets don’t flush all the way… so many issues. Safety being the biggest concern of them all. Such a shame as it’s such a nice location.

The ‘double beds’ were two full size, not queen, the pillows might as well not even been on the bed because your head sinks right through them, our HVAC unit made dull thudding sounds that made it sound like someone was trying to get into our room all night, everything was dated, and housekeeping woke us up at 8:30am on our last day, asking if we were staying another day.

Paid extra for a river view but all we got from the second floor was a view of the roof of the other part of the hotel. Very disappointing and didn’t even get so much as an apology from the front desk. The room wasn’t ready until 5pm either.

So if I were to put my name on something I would make sure that it was top notch. This property of course is very old but even considering this there were so many unsightly issues throughout the hotel. Had I not had an event there I would have quickly left.

The experience was bad. Mattress is bad wuality, pillows are bad quality as well.
Bathroom not clean.
The AC was not working I called front desk and they offered a fan. I refused and had to come doen to get a new room.

No longer a Sheraton, and after a period as an independent hotel, the property is now supposedly aligned with Hilton. Having stayed at this property over the course of 10 years, I have watched the hotel’s decline due primarily to its physical condition. While the current management and staff were very nice, the food outlet surprisingly better than expected and the rooms clean, the common areas, and things like the room key locks and sliding balcony doors are tired and in need of replacement. This has been the case for some time now, which probably explained the change in franchise affiliations, and is desperately needed. The location of the property is ideal for business and leisure activities, and features (although expensive) valet parking services. If Hilton can get a capital replacement plan into action, the property has potential to be great. But it will be very costly and remains to be seen.

Loved our stay although Alot of the staff were not very friendly to my husband at all ! It was my birthday and the service he received while trying to make sure everything was perfect was less than satisfactory! Room was nice amf comfortable pool amazing and bartenders were the nicest staff !
