Must ask for coffee maker in room. It’s an old property but pretty well maintained in excellent midtown location near offices. Don’t recommend the bar food. Brought my hair dryer to ensure enough power. Has complimentary bottled water .

I paid through expedia got there and was asked for a credit card which was is in pending status for 347.00 explained to the desk agent who was the very nice that I paid through expedia he said he fixed it although its still pending. There was some sort of mold in the corner of my room no where near the bathroom up on the ceiling which is quite unsanity to be breathing in. Room was decent size fairly clean. The desk guy was very nice but this charge shouldnt have been there

Great place to stay in New York City
This is the fifth time I have stayed at the Hotel Lexington and I still find it to be an excellent place to stay in New York City. The staff is so friendly, welcoming and professional. They attend to your every need. The only thing I would change is that the restaurant closes at 11pm and you can’t get food in the hotel after that time in the city that never sleeps, however there are nearby places open late if you need to get something to eat after a night out.

Excellent atmosphere. Let us check in 4 hours early. Very comfortable beds and interesting art. One complaint is the bathroom sink didn’t drain water very quick so there was a little bit of mold in our bathroom sink. Other than that it was great! I would stay here again

Lovely Hotel
The Lexington was great; the staff were friendly and professional. We went into the city for Christmas Holiday and the hotel is clean, welcoming and centrally located. Will definitely stay there again

We were charged—and—billed $50 a day which we were expected to spend on meals in the hotel restaurant at the gym next door, whether or not we wanted to. I’d planned dining in the hotel on the Saturday evening, but it was closed for a private party. Outrageous.

Bed/pillow was comfortable, the bathroom was crazy small and there were lots of strange clunks and noises. All staff were friendly and helpful. Bar/restaurant was convenient but $25 per drink was a bit much. I also didn't particularly like the $35 per night "convenience" fee. Not sure what I was paying for except a couple bottles of water and a whiskey sour every night

An older building, which is fine, but the room was tiny and the bath really tiny. There were splatters of god knows what on the wallpaper in the bathroom, as well as an old tub and peeling wallpaper. The AC kept resetting to off, it would get very stale in the room. my husband found the sheet was gritty on his side, felt like sand. No cofee maker in room, had to go to lobby for a cup in morning. The lobby is cute, but once you got to the room it was a 2 star experience. WOuld not return

Most staff were very kind, the food in the restaurant for dinner was good, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very expensive for what was provided and not worth the money. Overall we had an excellent stay!

This was my 2nd time staying here. The bedroom / bathroom was very small and tight. The elevator looks outdated but it was still a good place to stay. The hotel is far from the subway (its 6 blocks away)

No coffee machine - you have to go downstairs to Starbuck. No information in the room about breakfast complimentary or not, info for reception, taxi info etc. Just basically bed tv washroom, all nicely decorated. I expected a few amenities.

Beautiful lobby. Room was adequate - bathroom was nice but beds were kind of hard. Check in line took way longer than I would have liked - after a long day of travel it was really not pleasant to stand in a crowded line for a half hour.

The welcoming was really bad. I booked the hotel and paid it already. So after doing 45min waiting to go check in. They made me go do a credit/debit card otherwise I couldn’t check in… (even do I had Apple Pay and cash) so after doing more than 10h of flight a had to go into the streets of nyc to do a credit card… so finally 1h after I come back and then they told me finally it’s ok I didn’t need it. The manager was super rude.

Unathorized Credit Charges!!!
I booked a double bed through hotels.com. When I arrive on the night of August 26th, I was told that the hotel did not have the double bed I booked. I spoke to Manuel and he had manager approval to give me a second room with no charge. At 3AM, my credit card was charge multiple times and charges have posted to my account. I am reaching the hotel but I am not hearing back. I will be reaching my credit company if no support is provided from Lexington.

Booked a king sized room for one night - received a full size room instead. Reached out to hotel to have corrected & NO one answers the phone - ever - finally got Marriott on the phone and was told since we booked through a third party we have no recourse & then hung up on me. To add insult to injury, the hotel then CHARGED US AGAIN for the room we actually received on the card submitted for incidentals. Now neither I nor Expedia can reach the hotel and Expedia will not issue me a refund until they reach the hotel. RUN away from this place unless you want to pay twice for your room.

I've been to a few hotels in this area in New York when visiting, this time stayed here due to other colleagues. I will not do it again. The rooms are so small and there is no where to put clothes out (aside from hangers) so that was really not convenient for 4 days. The gym is not (!!!) 24/7! So basic when traveling. Especially on the weekend, it opens only at 8am that's absolutely insane.

Nice hotel with some reservations.
The Lexington is a nice hotel that is well located. Tit is an older hotel but well kept. Housekeeping was very good. Check-in was very efficient. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small and unfortunately in our room the auto flush didn’t work. Shower was very nice.
I didn’t like the $35 daily charge. Also the bar adds 18% to every order without telling you about it. I found out only after asking for the detail of the bill.
Felt it was a bit pricey for what it is.

The hotel overall was nice.
It was located and in a prime location close to restaurants, shops and convenient stores.
The room was a little small, but we made do. The bed was a bit small (full) for two adults.
We used our $30 “credit” for food at the Hotel restaurant. We were not impressed with the chicken quesadillas. They were lack luster.

Overall, we had a good stay. It was a bit disappointing that the hotel didn't offer room service. When you're hungry and it's late in NYC, it's hard to get up and walk/take the subway to get food. Room service would've been nice. Also, the TV remote did not work. The mattress was more firm on one side than the other. But overall the stay was good.

Location is very good considering 8 mt walk distance from grand central/under metlife building.Rooms are clean and our bedsheets were changed everyday for the 3 days we stay at the place.Loved the lobby.Starbucks is just beside lobby. They will hold your bag for 3$ /bag for the entire day which worked out great for us since we checked out around 11am and had our flight in late night. Check in and baggage stuff were very courteous.
Cons-
Rooms are small - I have never stayed in a hotel with such small room for 1 queen bed room.35$ daily resort fee each day, including tax its 40$, which is given back as 35$ credit to use at breakfast or bar is pathetic considering each drink costs around 30$ and each person breakfast cost is around 32$ including taxes ,also you get only juice/coffee/frozen curd/bagels etc in that value and like us if you are a family of 2 ,you need to pay 32$ for the other persons to have breakfast.I personally had bad experience with the lady bartender - when asked for a strong drink mix ,I got the reply “all vodkas are strong “with a hint of arrogance” but may be because I was with a friend whose english speaking was not great and was little confusing for her at times, so she was presumptuous.

I’ve stayed at many marriot hotels and never had a bad experience so when I had to call the front desk 3 times in 2 days for foam pillows because I could feel the springs in the mattress from how badly it was worn down only to never receive them that was very disappointing. In addition to that my family stayed at the same hotel while we were there and received 8 drink voucher for free courtesy of the front desk and I received none….

Location is perfect to access many places of interest and shopping. Staff go out of their way to help. A shout out to Manuel who was helpful in getting me a handicapped room that made my stay so comfortable.
