Outstanding service, Bella at front desk wonderful! Amazing huge rooms, beautiful decor with cabin/outdoor unique style. The restaurants/room service incredible. AG Burger is best burger ever had...and I travel the world! Will check out other LINE hotels based on this experience. Thank you!

Disappointed experience
I live in Leander and rented a room at The Line for the New Year to watch the fireworks. When booking, I requested a room with a nice view if possible. When I checked in at the reception, I mentioned that I wanted to watch the fireworks. Despite this, I couldn't see a single firework from the given room. I can see from my room window that many of the rooms with views of the fireworks were empty. While hundreds of people were watching the fireworks, I was only watching the smoke they made. It was an extremely disappointing experience. Ever since I came to Austin, now every time I pass by the hotel I wanted to stay for one night, I'll remember this bad memory. Thanks, The Line.

First time staying here and loved the proximity to the convention center. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I would love for them to have breakfast available at the restaurant. They do offer order to your room. Overall it was an excellent stay.

Be aware that if you have a car, you will be charged $49 per night and it’s valet only. The valet service is slow. The building is old and has been totally remodeled. Some of the design features look cool but make no sense. The beds are low and mine may have needed a new mattress. I felt like I was sleeping on an angle. There is a fresh Mexican cafe attached to the hotel that serves great food and freshly squeezed juices. Given the opportunity to visit Austin, again, I would most likely not stay in the property again.

It was a beautiful hotel but constant busy so events dominated the place. With private events occupying balcony space, there was only the Bar which wasn't open until 5 pm. With the outstanding weather, they should have opened the pool bar/area. They advertised complimentary bikes but had no process to check them out. I just wasn't wowed for the price.

The air conditioner was broken in our room and so they gave us a floor fan. The room was so hot and uncomfortable. They also told me I reserved two rooms through Expedia, which sent me into a panic because I only reserved one room. I spent an hour trying to figure it out, only for the front desk to call our room to inform me that the person who made the second reservation had the SAME NAME as me. They didn’t even bother to check other details besides my name when checking in. Very incompetent to say the least…..

Great hotel! We loved the room and the amenities. very nice fitness room and lovely pool. Great and unique atmosphere, and walkable for all kins of cool stuff in Austin. Sorry we were too late for the bats.

On the whole it was great. Two small things: The weather was unusually cold and though there were fires in the lobby, that and the hallways were freezing so you didn’t get a nice welcome “home” after being outside. (Was the AC still on?) Long lines for the (good) coffee each morning which is normal but would be great to speed up if possible. Also, how about some drawers in the bedroom? There is space…

Everything was perfect for our girls weekend! Love the decor and the proximity to everything in the city was ideal. We walked to jump on kayaks and walked to the nightlife. Staff was super nice! We loved the tacos in the lobby too. Pool and pool bar were wonderful. We did yoga by the pool on Saturday. Thank you for a dream weekend getaway!!!

I had a trip planned to Austin for Austin City Limits festival in 2023. My wife came down with COVID the day before the concerts started. The Line would not let me cancel my hotel, despite the fact that she was C19 . This is one of the busier weekends in Austin each year and they would have been able to easily sell my room. In fact, I'm sure that they would make more money off the price I had booked 6 months earlier.
Instead, they chose to double dip to collect my money and then rent out the room. Expedia was no help in this situation and each party blamed the other for charging me one full nights stay.
I'm never staying at the Line again and done with Expedia. I finally experienced the Expedia issues that so many complain about

We loved our stay here with our two dogs. The cottage has everything you need it’s immaculately clean with all the conveniences you have at home. We loved the privacy it offers and the fact that walks are on the doorstep and everything else is within an easy drive. The hosts Lynn and Aaron couldn’t be more helpful if you need anything or just need some advice. Otherwise they’ll leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. We will definitely be coming back to stay.

Great location, but not worth the price. Our room needed some maintenence...peeling wallpaper, stains, etc. The main issue was very low furniture. The bed and side tables are very, very low. The ceilings are low, so it makes sense, but we found everything uncomfortably low.

Enjoyed our stay!
We stayed here for the ACL festival. While it is a little too far to walk to the festival, it was conveniently located. The taco restaurant located in the hotel is delicious! The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel has a very modern vibe. I will stay again the next time I am in Austin.

The towns that were downtown and made him move somewhere else our room may have been clean. Our room may have had hot water, but our bed was 3 inches off the floor, and the room design was terrible. That’s if you’re a millennial or a hipster it may work for you, but as a Gen X would not recommend.

Very hip, funky hotel in a good location. Spacious, comfortable room with one of the best mini bars I've seen. Great pool area. Coffee and croissant in the lobby were excellent (but pretty pricey). Definitely would stay here again.

Great place for a quick business stay
Hannah at the front desk and all of the valet staff were very helpful, efficient and friendly. The location of this hotel at the cusp of the downtown corridor is super handy. And the rooms are clean, comfortable and modern.

Draw the line
You will wait in line on a summer week-end at The Line so have to draw the line with this motel. It’s a show on a summer week-end ~ the pool is jam packed as is the lobby and coffee bar line. The check in desk is great in spite of the craziness/party going on in hotel. If you are young this is your place.

The Line Austin is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were incredibly nice and the whole vibe of the hotel was so cool and trendy.
Epic pool, great food and coffee plus walkable to tons downtown. It was clean and aesthetically artistic. A perfect home away from home that is probably cooler than your own home. Love.

I had a positive time at the property, I was even upgraded at check in. But the staff was horrible to a friend of mine and she had a terrible time sleeping because of the noise on her side of the hotel (Big difference between staying near Congress Ave and the other side of the hotel). I probably won't stay here again.

Great hotel, amazing experience overall. The staff was very helpful when we needed to extend our stay due to some weather and flight issues.
One thing to note, it's not the most conducive hotel for remote work or taking zoom calls. The wifi is not strong in the upper rooms and there is no option to upgrade to strong wifi. The wifi is best in the lobby but there is pretty loud music playing throughout. Your best option is a coffee shop down the street.
Not a dealbreaker issue, just an FYI if you're looking to stay here for work.
Otherwise truly a fun and chill place to hang out. Pool is a delight, location is perfect, P6 is delicious.

Honestly for the price and reducimos extra fees that they charge you after you’ve already stayed, this place is not worth it. Staff had an attitude and was not very friendly (except the guys working valet), the room had a lot of sheet rock damage, and I had requested a room facing Lady bird lake but was “upgraded” to a room that “faced the city”…. More like faced the side of another building.
Honestly there are wayyyy better hotels to stay at for the same price in Austin.

Totally Top of the LINE!
I booked this trip for my son and daughter-in-law as a birthday/welcome back to TX getaway. I worked with guest services rep. Preston Whalen and every detail was attended to with perfection! Preston responded to my questions immediately and went above & beyond to make sure my family's stay was flawless. The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean, and they truly felt pampered and refreshed during their stay. My husband and I live local but are now going to plan a staycation at The Line Austin simply because the visit was so wonderful for our kids. I can't thank and recommend Preston Whalen highly enough to help you book a fabulous vacation of your own!

The walk up taco restaurant at the pool was great, pool area was nice but loungers are very short and falling apart. It is very loud at night, people racing on the bridge next to hotel. Party town for sure. Hotel is great for young people wanting to party and take selfies at every given moment.

If you’re going to Austin to celebrate with friends and have a little extra money to burn, this is perfect. It’s close to a lot of great food, great drinks, and local attractions. It has a pretty pool, pretty lobby, and pretty restaurants which would be great for pictures.
The walls are paper thin, which isn’t ideal if you’re in the city known for bachelor/bachelorette parties and bars and trying to actually sleep- especially as there is zero white noise to cover anything. In an effort to be aesthetic, they deprioritized some functional things like a dresser. Forgot something? Feeling snacky? They have what you want- but for like four times the retail cost at the CVS two blocks down ( no joke, the “large water” was nine dollars in the minibar). The pool was refreshing but also so dirty you could see the debris floating in it, and sitting on/walking on anything by the pool without shoes/pants in the sun will legitimately give you real burns. Lastly, they put a $150 security hold PER NIGHT on your card and return it when you leave. That could be a painful surprise.
Overall there were benefits and drawbacks. If we were to go back to Austin we would probably stay there again if there was a good deal- and just pack really good earplugs :-).

Not worth the money
Just stayed one night. Great location, bed kind of hard but the pillows were amazing. very quiet lake side room but you are looking at a roof top. Great distant view. 6th floor resturant hostess didn't look like she had underware on with a very short dress no bra for sure, but it is Austin. Not very classy. Very dryed out frig burned cheese on Chartuse board. not very good. Eat somewhere else

Seems like this hotel was a 5 star hotel a few years ago and went downhill. The cleaning staff need to be retrained! Our room had someone else’s hair in the shower when we arrived, toothpaste stains on the vanity and the hallways were not vacuumed once while we were there. Breakfast options are lacking. Great pool, nice location.

Scam hotel
This hotel is a complete scam. They give off this impression of a nice 4 star hotel but the rooms are not impressive, the “restaurant” has extremely limited food and drink options and they wanted $95 for a cheese and meat board. The ac in my room did not work and the engineer informed us the rooms were too big for their ac units and he could bring us a box fan. The pool is disgusting and dirty. The rooms had stains and rips everywhere. I ended up paying around $700 for a one night stay and that’s not including dinner. I could’ve stayed at the fairmont for 2 nights for that price and had a way better experience. I will never stay at the line again.

I felt like the room and floor we stayed on was outdated. The main lobby, pool and taco spot were all really nice, but the room felt a bit old and I could see the spots on the wall where they just painted over stains and left 4x6 squares of lighter colored paint.

Hotel rooms are minimalist. However it's loud. The hallways are loud, the traffic outside is loud. Most disappointing of all our stuff was stolen at the pool and the hotel front desk was like oh well it wasn't our fault. Apparently this happens often by their reaction, and they do nothing to compensate you for til our stolen things.

It's sort of like The Line is all about their hip vibe and less about in-room amenities or a decent high-end restaurant. No iron in the room, just a crappy steamer and the furniture in the lobby was disgusting.The room was nice enough, the bed was very comfortable but the large amount of potential items to purchase (candy bars, snacks, drinks) took up most of the space on the lone horizontal surface, already at a minimum having been sacrificed at the alter of funkiness by it's sloping design. One of the two elevators at our end of the building consistently did not work, making for long waits. As we checked out the young man assured us there was no further charges on our bill only to discover nearly $500 worth of charges on our bank account a few days after our return. So now I've got to straighten that out. This hotel was not worth what we paid for it.

Hotel is way over crowded with guests that are not staying at the hotel. Pool is small and filled with locals sneaking in. Do not waste your time or money here check out hotel ZaZa for a good experience.

The location is amazing. Near by some cool venues for music - including live music - and great food- including the Brazilian steakhouse a few steps away. Relatively close to the lake and great for those who enjoys outdoors activities: paddling, hiking, walks, etc. you can also watch the traditional “bat fest” from your hotel room, if you get a room with a good view to the lake like a did. Now, the condition of the hotel is poor. It was remodeled not that long ago but you can tell that it was poorly done with a low budget, ceiling and walls poorly patched and dirty, carpet - throughout the entire hotel, including the rooms, lobby, etc- is extremely dirty, damaged and old. The bed is the worst I have even seen- and thought possible - at the hotel. It is pretty much a bad quality couch so low on the floor that any old person - or handicapped - would think impossible to lay on. It is uncomfortable and has old and bad quality linens. The bathroom was done in a way that most would find acceptable (love the shower head) but the floor was simply disgusting. They have not cleaned the room before a new guest arrived. I can only imagine the condition of the linens and towels. It didn’t inspire much confidence. Tv was old and small for the size of the room. You’ll get the feeling of a motel 6 with some upgrade.
Signage is bad and if you are trying to find the restaurant P6- reason why I went to celebrate my birthday there- good luck. It is hard to find

Not a great experience
Was very disappointed in the condition of the room, and the wet stain in the carpet when we arrived.
The valet was not efficient and it took a long time to get the cars in and out. Along with having to wait in the street because they did not direct people where to go.
Also when we woke up Sunday morning, ants had invaded our room and were all over my bags and clothes. Mind you I did not have any food or anything that would attract them to my bags or clothes. Also was uncomfortable when trying to order from the taco place downstairs as a homeless person was walking around inside the lobby and approached as asking for food and money. This trip was only one night and we are both busy working professionally who just wanted a relaxing weekend getaway that’s not what we received.
The condition of the room which was a lakeside suite was disappointing as the wall paper was peeling from the walls, stains all over the couch and carpet, marks all over the walls along with someone’s trash from their shower scrub was left at the bottom of our shower, chew marks on the doors and baseboards/trim in the room. We choose this hotel over several others for the aesthetic and location for a great view. I was really hoping for a better experience as we are traveling to Ca/ IL in the coming months and hoped to have found somewhere we enjoyed for making booking our trips easy.

I love the decor vibe and personnel. The only serious problem I had was with pool area cleanliness. It’s just so dirty. Straws in the pool. The filtration system in the pool is unable to handle the amount of guests. It was filthy. Empty trash and drink cups were not picked up all day from previous guests. I love the hotel and got it for the pool but really the pool needs more cleaning.

The hotel was cute but old and seemed basic. My friend and I found the beds and pillows to be extremely uncomfortable and we didn’t get a single good night’s rest during our stay. We also found several hairs in our bed sheets that clearly did not belong to us. Unfortunately we would not stay here in the future or recommend it to anyone. For the price of the hotel we expected better.

Location is fantastic and the hotel definitely has its own unique ambience. We especially enjoyed the pool. Overall, we were disappointed with the room. We found the AC to not work properly with ventilating the entire room. One area of the room would feel like the temperature we had the AC set to whereas another area felt 15 degrees warmer. We also found the bed to be a bit uncomfortable so neither of us got a good night's sleep. We are locals and are looking for the perfect staycation hotel and we will likely not return. However, if you are from out of town, it is a very Austin-vibe hotel and a great location so recommend for tourists assuming your room is a better experience than ours.
