Hotel was located in a great location, convenient to train, and within walking distance of locations downtown. Hotel itself was modern and clean, and staff we first rate. The restaurant in the hotel had a great breakfast, but it was very busy. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Perfect restaurant week weekend!
It was great. The view alone was worth the whole room. It was so beautiful. Location was perfect. Next to every restaurant, and sites that you want to see. Uber is always available. Just a couple of minutes away. And the bar and restaurants were amazing as well. I will definitely come back to this place and recommended to all my friends.

Overall great experience. Perfect location close to transportation. Fun lobby experience with games. Accommodating staff helped with luggage storage after check out. Difficult check in since I arrived after midnight and there was limited staff.

Nice hotel, pet friendly
This is an excellent hotel in the heart of River North. We loved the hotel, the view, and the fact that it was pet friendly so we could bring our dog. Our one complaint is that the room doors had a significant gap near the floor, around two inches, so it was easy to hear everything going on in the hallway all night.

Honestly way better than I expected. The staff is a 10/10, the location is great and the hotel itself is very nice. Shoutout to the housekeepers, I accidentally left my glasses behind in the room and realized it after checking out, thankfully they found them and got them back to me. Would definitely recommend and will for sure be staying here again if Im back in Chicago.

The location of this hotel is amazing. In the heart of the River North close to so many great restaurants, bars, and things to do. The hotel is easy to get into. Check in was very quick. Rooms were convenient with all necessary amenities for us.

Pleasantly surprised
I was pleasantly surprised!! I really enjoyed my stay at this Aloft. If ever in Chicago again, I will definitely stay here again! All the staff was very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was welcoming, room was clean. No issues. Was a little hesitant by some reviews, but truly glad I chose this Aloft. Great food in hotel and surrounding area. If there was a drawback, there is a Firestation around the corner, but hey..those are necessary!!

Great modern space
Great room: very modern, easy to get in and out, great location. No real complaints! You do great a little sounds from neighboring rooms--i heard the blooms going up and down like they were in my room, but the overall vibe was crisp and fantastic.

Nice hotel near everything! We had the top floor so we did not hear anyone above us. But we could hear when someone was in the hallway. Of course you get traffic noise, but that’s the nature of the city.

It was a nice environment walking in and out. There’s so many places around the hotel which I liked. There’s also a bar and restaurant in the hotel which is convenient as well. The staff were friendly and nice. We got a nice view from our hotel and had a great stay.

I loved the window view to the restaurant strip below. The drain in my handicap restroom was poorly designed because water was flowing outside to the sink. Very slippery. Elevator was also down for a day during our stay so getting up and down was inconvenient during one of our mornings as many people were checking in or out. Option for late check out was nice

Bed was very comfortable, but our blinds were broken, so we couldn’t get our room to be very dark and the shampoo and conditioner was empty. Just a shame to pay 300 dollars a night for a room and not be able to sleep or shower comfortably.

I travel often and meet lots of hospitality staff but I must say the service received by the team here was stellar!! One team member in particular Thomas Chato was outstanding. He was attentive, informed, had many great suggestions and was overall super pleasant. His warm welcome was my very first impression of this hotel and it created a feeling of “making the right choice” as there are many hotel options in the area. Thomas’ attention to detail and strong listening skills helped us get to all the places we wanted to go and even assisted us with exploring new places I had never been to before in Chicago. He was super knowledgeable and solution oriented as many of the times hotel staff members lead with the “no’s” and not the “yes we can do that for you” Thomas Chato thank you for making this Chicago visit one to remember!!

Perfect location but noisy
Great location! Very clean and comfortable, and the staff was fantastic! My only complaint is the noise level.. you can hear everything outside, people in the hallway, even people around you opening their blinds, its so loud it sounds like they were opening my blinds. That was the only downside to the stay.

Let me start with the POSITIVES: Comfortable and clean bed and pillows. Quiet. DryBar products.
But what overshadows these are the NEGATIVES: Hard to find due to blocked off street. Parking was $64. But the absolute most unforgiveable part of the stay was that they gave us ROOM 215 which had blocked out windows bc it was a view of equipment in the alley! Without warning!! Let me know and ask if I want to upgrade maybe? Or let me know so I DON'T BOOK in the first place! I was sorely disappointed and too tired to complain. We arrived at 11pm and the checkin person could have said something but didn't. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT stay at an ALOFT again because I think it is a shady operation. I expect more from Expedia as well.

My husband and I stayed here for a getaway during Labor Day weekend, and we loved it here. Richard checked us in at the front desk, and he was so kind and helpful! The room was gorgeous, and we loved the view of Clark street from our bed. We also loved that we could open the window and listen to outside while we slept (we love white noise while sleeping). We would highly recommend this hotel! The only down sides to our stay were the elevator went out, there is no pool, and the parking sucks.

First time staying at this Aloft location. The location is great because it’s super close and walkable to everything from restaurants, shopping, and the red line station. The staff are nice, and my favorite is the Beatrix restaurant attached to the hotel because it’s super convenient especially if you don’t have a lot of time to look for places for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The only minor things I didn’t like which is not a big deal is the wide gap between the bottom of the door and the floor to my room. Also, there’s no microwave in my room, but they have microwaves available by the front desk.
I recommend this hotel to single people like me or to couples who don’t have kids. Overall I had a great and smooth stay.

The hotel is in a great location and has a lot nearby. During my stay 2 of the 3 elevators were down causing wait times however there were additional elevators through the Hyatt next door. The walls here are paper thin, I could hear when neighboring rooms were opening/closing the blinds, etc.

I called a week prior to my arrival to attempt to get early checkin or at least be placed on a waiting list. They told me to call the morning of, which I did. I called a 3 different times (instructed by the staff) to ask if there are any available rooms for early checkin and they finally told me they did not have any available rooms. I rather they said no there are no rooms during the first call instead of giving me false hope for possibly getting a room. So my partner and I were without a place to stay for over 8 hours. We were exhausted and very disappointed in how they handled our situation. Once we arrived, only one elevator worked. Just poor customer service in general.
