The property was good. I didn't like that the back door did not lock. But the staff was very friendly nice and friendly. I would stay there again if need be.

Went into my room the bathroom and the floors were dirty. They charged me more than it said when I booked it. The floor in my room was coming up in many many places as you walked across of it the tiles lifted up. It was very musty. Nothing worked properly, when I went down to breakfast, they ended an hour before they said it was supposed to end and I couldn’t get breakfast because they said they weren’t many people there

Tub does not drain, property did not instill confidence upon arrival. Seems less than clean. Bed mattress is not quality. AC does not work well - makes a lot of noise but doesn’t cool well.
Maybe they recently acquired the property and are working to bring up level of quality, but I would definitely prefer a nicer more comfortable accommodation.

The stay was a tragedy from the beginning. You are helpless to do anything because the room is non-refundable. I arrived to find that the hotel had no power. The receptionist was all alone sitting in the dark without any back up power. The power did not come back on until after 2am. I was stuck taking the room and went to the closest hardware store and bought candles for myself and the front desk lady all by herself in the dark. I went to the room which was cold and obviously dark. I had nothing to do but sit in the dark so I decided to try and take a shower thinking that surely they have huge boilers and there would at least be hot water or at best warm. I was wrong. I was hesitant to go anywhere because of the bad storms we were having. I tried to sleep because it was very cold. I dozed for a little while and sat in the dark for a few hours. I could not take the cold any longer so I went and sat in my car with the heat on. Looking around at the property I noticed several windows with the curtains were hanging only attached to one side. The property had litter and the beds had beer bottles thrown in it. The landscaping was in a terrible state of neglect. The room was neglected as well when the power finally came on. There was black mold in the bathroom, the shower flooded the floor and the slow drains were an issue. There was no internet,remote didnt work and floor lifting up posing trip hazard. Never will I stay again. Awful experience. mgmt is awful.

Staff was great. The gentleman who checked us in was very polite and accommodating. I think his name was Prob or something different like that. Samantha was also very nice and accommodating. Our room was very clean. The shower pressure was really good and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. Breakfast was good...the coffee was excellent. I think the A/C in the lobby and breakfast area wasn't working because it was VERY warm but our room was super cold. All in all, it was a good stay even though it was a short stay. I would recommend staying there. I felt like the price was very reasonable as well.

Nothing too fancy but very clean, and well maintained. The front desk attendant was extremely helpful with everything we needed and I was very grateful. I would return if the front desk attendant was the same person or someone with the same quality of customer service. It made the difference for us.

A good value compared to other hotels in the area.
The check-in was excellent. Arthur was friendly, helpful, and professional. One of the best check-in experiences I've had.
The hotel was OK. The room was a little small for two queen beds, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall, it was a good value for the price, compared to the price of other hotels in the area. We would stay there again.

adequate for overnight stays, the motel is isolated from attractions. heavy equipment lot and fire station behind and an apparent dump across the street. Garmin maps located motel on the other side of the street.

Gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and professional, even though the group before me became a little challenging. He noticed I had 2 reservations so he waa able to cancel one typify them to save me from paying twice. (And it gave him an extra room for the night which he needed, win - win!

Very helpful young man at the front desk at check-in gave some suggestions for local restaurants. Breakfast was pretty good as buffets go. Hotel seemed to be in a safe location. We chose this hotel because the rating number was much higher than others for the price range. We were satisfied overall.

Horrible Experience
We reserved a room for the night a week in advance for our daughters softball tournament. When we arrived the night of check-in, our room was a complete mess. Nothing was cleaned from the previous occupants. We had to go back to the front desk to find out they had no other double rooms available for our family of 4 and noone to clean the room! We were told there was only one other room available which was a King bed room and they proceeded to give us only 1 cot (we have 2 children). Being that it was late and we were already so far from home and no other choice for hotels we had to stay. We slept uncomfortably due to not having enough beds. We asked for a discount or something as to this was horrible customer service and were told by the night desk person that he would leave notes. Early the next morning we had to check out to get back to the tournament and at first noone was to be found at the front desk, when someone finally came we explained the situation and that there should be notes regarding giving us a discounted rate... They proceeded to tell us they could only give us $20 off because the manager was not there. We ended up being late to our daughters tournament because they were trying to keep up with everything that happened the previous night. Overall, we will NEVER be staying at a Best Western again!

Had a bad night. Room was horribly mildewy and humid. All our belongings smelled bad when we left. Could barely sleep. In addition, a/c made a rattling sound on and off all night. Really bad room.

Decent for a short stay. Stayed for 7 days and the staff was decent. Pool is not really an option. They keep it locked. Laundry machines seemed to work but guests were told they were out of order. Very loud ac units. Like diesel motor loud.

Property is a remodeled older hotel. I'm surprised Best Western allows this one to be one of theirs. The room was dumpy, only 2 towels per person. King bed softer than a feather bed, room dirty, but the worst thing about it, was the sheets were dirty the first night. We just dealt with it, the staff had already said they wouldn't change the sheets since we were there 2 days. Breakfast ok. Accessible bathroom hardly accessible, stupid bench in a bathtub that a wheelchair could never have manuvered. Stupid. I won't be back.

I booked 4 rooms for Jeepin With Judd. 1 room was unsanitary beyond words. The next room the AC barley worked and the toilet was full of Cr***p. When my son went to flush it the toilet overflowed. Clearly the rooms are made up to look clean but when you pull the covers off the bed its a different story. The other 2 rooms my staff slept on the floor. I drove 2 hours home each night I was suppose to stay there.

DISGUSTING and not maintained
We were given a different room than we booked. We booked a queen and we got 2 double beds.
The bed skirt had a white powder all over it, as did the floor in the bathroom.
The bathtub was filthy, mold and dirt.
The towels were not clean at all.
We informed the front desk, including giving them photos.
We felt like we should not have to pay the same rate we were originally quoted since we got a smaller room and it was EXTREMELY dirty.

The breakfast was a total failure. Ran out of coffee and waffle mix. Bananas were green. Hard boiled eggs were raw. The room was good, quiet and shower was nice and hot.

Don’t stay here.
This is a run down hotel. The cost to stay doesn’t match the condition of the hotel. The furniture in rooms is beat up and broken. The mattress on the bed feels like it is stuffed with pine straw and layed over a piece of plywood. The floor was dirty. The shower curtain was filthy on the bottom. We were attending an event so we had to stay two nights. They never cleaned our room on second day. They came in and placed 2 towels on top of the dirty ones on bathroom sink. They didn’t even make the bed. Our friends rooms in this same hotel w were extremely dirty. Mold all around the bathtub. All other hotel rooms booked in area or we would’ve left.

I loved the staff and all the staff loved one another. The pandemic has been hard on them and they are working so very hard to make your stay pleasant. It was the best for convenience to the Sports complex. A secret is that it is a great option if you want to stay away from the Florida crowds in season but get to all the events in the Winter Haven area.

Dirty room this time
Unfortunately, this time at this hotel we landed in a room where first the keys did not work, then it was ice cold at 65 degrees, and then we discovered piece by piece that the room had been poorly cleaned with sand all over the floor and on the bed, dirty faucets, dusty and streaky wiped surfaces, so that we requested to change rooms after checking in after 11 pm. The front desk was not apologetic or empathetic, but annoyed trying to blame us for not coming within 10 minutes of checking in. The whole discovering and moving process took about 1 and a half hour, and this in the middle of the night when all we wanted is go to bed.
Luckily, the next morning was a super nice lady at checkout who was much more understanding and empathetic about the whole situation, and she promised the hotel would talk to the staff involved so this would not happen again.
But, we could only sleep for 6 hours due to the dirty room and the fact that breakfast stops at 9 am.

Wii Definitely Book Again
It was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hotgel is still observing some guidelines caused by covid-19. I will definitely consider booking again, since this was my second stay at the hotel.

We ended up checking in late since I didn't get off work til after 6 and it's a 3.5 hour drive down. When I got there, none of the staff were wearing masks, so even though there was a plastic partition, it still made me uncomfortable. The room looked nice, but the beds were awful and extremely small. I didn't sleep at all because of how uncomfortable it was. Definitely not worth the price for such lack of comfort. Grab and go bags were served for breakfast here.

Only hotel in the area.We were mountainbiking alafia river state park and balm boyette reserve.Great location and cheapest in price.Alot of industrial workers use this hotel for overnight stay when working in this area so big trucks and parking close to the front door is limited when arriving late.Room was average and clean.Overall you get what u pay for most of the time and this best western was fine for what we needed for one night.Also close to Lakeland so many restaurants to choose from.

This is not a family hotel, it’s a truck stop at best. Buckets catching water dripping in hallways, the lock on the side entrance/exit (right outside our room) is broken and according to an extended stay guest has been broken for a long time. Room smelled heavily of mold, broken and missing fixtures throughout. Literally a 3-4 inch hole in the ceiling of the room. Beds are built on flimsy sheet metal which makes an awful, loud springing sound when you move even gently. Would not recommend this property to anyone. Oh, and breakfast was offered as a frozen microwave Jimmy dean sandwich at the front desk, to be heated in room.

It served my purpose. The check in lady made me wait while she worked on the computer. After a minute or so she said hello, but kept working on computer. Then she took a phone call, instead fo putting them on hold she talked to them. Finally after a few minutes that I was there she checked me in.

Tub dirty bed had hair on sheets had to request room service clerk at front desk rude one clerk told us we couldn’t go outside of hotel because it was late when all we did was stand outside their rates are not clear they charge $100 incidental then when it’s check out time they will not give receipt until they radio housekeeping to check the room

The AC was not turned on before we arrived so the room temperature hovered around 90 for about 30 mins while the AC cooled the room. Breakfast was terrible and they would not let us get a late check out.

When we checked in we were told that they put us in a new remodeled room with tile floor instead of carpet. That is the only thing they remodeled. Bath tub drain was completely out of the bottom of the tub, shower curtain had mold around the bottom of it. Curtains for the outside window were dirty, stained and old. Rust around the windowsill. If you’re going to update or remodel the rooms at least do a complete job. Staff was friendly during check in and check out. Continental breakfast was fair (filled the void).
