My wife and I had a great time in NY and the Casablanca was one of the main reasons. Room was great, services were very good and we loved Rick's cafe for breakfast and a place to relax after a long day of sight seeing.

Home at Times Square
This hotel is like staying with friends without the awkward inconveniences for them and you. Prime location in Times Square, incredible service and amenities. Very helpful and accommodating staff. This is the only hotel to stay at in New York hands down

A perfect stay in New York City from the moment we arrived. Convenient parking garage right next door with hotel validation provided a nice savings. The friendly staff greeted us and were so helpful to us throughout our stay. We enjoyed our breakfast by the fireplace each morning. The hotel’s location is perfect to see a broadway show and enjoy Times Square. We will definitely be back!

Loved everything about this place!
Gentleman at front desk and door were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was great, and workers were very attentive. They (all the employees) are really the ones that made it great!

We were looking for a place to stay that was convenient for the theater district while at the same time quiet. The Casablanca more than met our needs. This is an older, european-style hotel that has been lovingly cared for. The second floor sitting room, where breakfast is provided, is a delightful resting spot at any time, with coffee/tea and snacks available all day. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and returning to this hotel from the streets crowded with December tourists was a pleasure. We are already looking forward to visiting again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was warm and cosy a real family feel to it. The continental breakfast was a lovely touch and the staff were so attentive. Hotel is in a good location and we would definitely return and recommend to our family and friends.

The friendliest staff who are ready to help with anything. Has old world charm. It’s no Ritz Carlton, don’t expect high ceilings, ornate hallways or endless platters of variety of food but you know it because you have not paid for Ritz. This hotel is an awesome value.

First the service is impeccable. "Welcome home" were the first words we heard once we checked in. The staff simply could not be more outstanding. We received prompt, helpful and courteous attention with each request that we made.
Second, the hotel is quiet and serene, despite the fact that it is right at Times Square!
My only "complaint"--not really a complaint but more a style issue--is that the hotel is very traditional in decor. My sister loved it and I liked it.
All in all, this hotel cannot be topped for the location, service and serenity.

Our stay at the Casablanca was fabulous. Location is great, hotel is clean and charming, but the best part of this hotel is the staff! Every person we interacted with was so nice and helpful. This hotel really caters to their guests. I’ve stayed many places in NYC and always like to try somewhere new each time, but this will be my go to in Manhattan. One of my favorite hotel experiences anywhere thanks to the Casablanca team!

Exceeded our family's expectations.
Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Our trip and the Casablanca Hotel were perfect. Everything is walking distance from hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the hotel was cozy, not like the big hotel chains that are so impersonal, we felt very welcome.
Thanks to the manager, Matthew, James, John, Isa at Rick's Cafe and the other young lady there were so sweet. (I'm deaf, so I do apologize if I've given the wrong names). We're already trying to figure out when we can return.

We loved staying at this location. Daily breakfast and snacks made things convenient.
If i stay here again, i would request a room not on 43rd ave. It was noisy and blinking lights throughout the evening. Sleeeas often disrupted.

As usual over the years, the Casablanca Hotel provided my famiily and me a bastion in the storm of Times Square. I enjoyed the amenity of the second floor breakfast room available for sitting and enjoying beveridges 24-7 and the services of the front desk. While the rooms are small, they are well-designed, complete with walk-in showers. Bravo to the superb staff!

It was a nice small unique hotel, no view from our room. I upgraded my room and it was still very small. The toilet is located in an odd spot in the bathroom the continental breakfast was very nice

Casablanca Hotel is a charming, old fashioned hotel that is very clean, hospitable, and comfortable in every way. The location off of Times Square is perfect, and the staff are unmatched. Their access to the 2nd floor hospitality area is very inviting, and offers soft drinks, coffee and snacks/breakfast the entire day. I won't stay anywhere else when I visit again.

Great, friendly hotel
Brilliant hotel, one of my favourites in Manhattan. Despite the busy location near Times Square, the hotel is a quiet and calm oasis with no noise at night. The team are all so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was a real bonus too as this is not standard in midtown. Loved my stay, I will be back.

This hotel is in the heart of Times Square. If you're in NYC in order to go to see Broadway shows, then other than camping out in the theater itself you're not going to be able to get any closer. Harry Potter: 5 minute walk. Kimberly Akimbo: 3 minute walk. Here Lies Love: 10 minute walk. "& Juliet" 30 second walk. Times Square subway: 2 minute walk.
We flew into Newark and took the Newark Express which is run by Coach USA. For $35 _round trip_, it took us 1h to get from Newark to Bryant Park (and then about a 3m walk to get to the hotel). On the way back (Saturday morning at 7:30A), it was 25m bus ride.
The breakfast which was provided was coffee, tea, espresso, and various waters and sodas. There was fresh fruit, packaged cereal, hardboiled eggs and pastries / bagels.
That's the good stuff. Here's the rest:
We were in Room 308. I don't know if the other rooms in the hotel are the same way, but it's an old property. The bathroom is modern, but the toilet is literally against a support structure; I'm only 6 feet tall, but I had to sit either "side saddle" or "wide stance" so that my knees wouldn't hit the wall in front of me!
Granted, you don't spend too much time on the toilet, but it was still odd.
Staff was gracious, and was always opening the door, greeting us, etc.

This property is located just steps from Times Square. But still, it is quiet and an oasis from the chaos that is Times Square. But a wonderful location that is convenient to most of the theatre venues and many restaurants. Although small, the room was clean, nicely appointed and maintained. The staff was generous with their time and helpful with their suggestions. I would return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Casablanca! Location can’t be beat if you want to stay in Times Square. The 24/7 refreshments and lounges were a huge plus, and breakfast was nice too. Staff was very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you’re well taken care of. Our room was spacious by NYC standards (deluxe queen) with all the amenities, and very clean. For being in the middle of the action, we were surprised how quiet it was. Parking was close and easy, and I doubt you’ll find cheaper in TS. 10/10, would definitely book again!

We stayed in a room with 2 queens and for NYC it was well sized for our family of 4. The beds are comfortable, the AC keep us cool and the shower had plenty of hot water and pressure. Breakfast and snacks were an excellent addition to staying here. Very close to Times Square but quiet to get a good nights sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will return to The Casablanca in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at the Casablanca - every staff member we met was excellent, we loved the mini-suite and the breakfasts. If you’re looking for something based at the heart of NYC with something different to the usual lists of chains, this is it. It was a wonderful experience. We loved our stay and hope to return soon. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were warm and welcoming. The location was perfect. Close to Times Square, yet quiet. Our room wasn’t over the street, so perhaps that helped. Parking was easy. Hotel itself was clean, decor was nicely done. Bed was comfortable.

The staff at the Casablanca were a different level of welcoming and helpful. They made our stay fantastic from the moment we walked through the door.
We found the location to be perfect for a short stay. And we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the hotel was given the proximity to Times Sq.
Breakfast was great - simple but very tasty, and the snacks and drinks were great to grab when heading out sight seeing.

What a fantastic hotel, everything is on your doorstep! Bars, restaurants, and Time Square!
We stayed in a mini-suite and it was outstanding! a little sanctuary from the city madness and July heat.
Ricks Café is lovey and a visit to the Blue
parrot to have your breakfast was the only way to start the day

This is a very small, quiet hotel with old world charm. It is just a few steps away from the chaos of Times Square but unbelievably peaceful. We never even heard a car horn. The staff is absolutely amazing. They are friendly, helpful and very professional. Highly recommend if you want low-key, comfortable surroundings within walking distance of great restaurants and theaters.

My experience at Casablanca was exceptional! They went above and beyond my expectations. The staff was always welcoming everyday and they kept up a clean atmosphere. The rooms were always kept up and there was never any noise coming from our neighbors rooms; this of course helped my family sleep better at night. In the mornings, they had complimentary breakfast and snacks throughout the day. Neither my family nor I had any complaints about the hotel or staff. Overall, it was a great experience and I would love to visit this hotel again.

Small hotel right off Times Square. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Decor of hotel was beautiful as were the rooms . Three of us shared a 2 queen room which was plentiful. Breakfast which was included, was wonderful. Soft drinks, coffee and snacks were available all day long. Sitting area was very relaxing and inviting. It was a 2 block walk from the subway and literally 1 block from Times Square. This will be my go to hotel for any future visits. We have highly recommended this hotel to all our friends and family. Best part…… not staying in a mega hotel with a few hundred people!!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights in a king room and I loved everything about the hotel. As others have mentioned, the location was pretty much perfect, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well-appointed. The buffet breakfast was quite carb-heavy (bagles, pastries, cereal) but everything was fresh and I never left hungry. I would happily stay here again.

I will stay here again! I loved the staff and their warm, welcoming ways; everyone from the front desk, to Rick's Cafe, to the cleaning staff was super polite, super professional, super friendly, and super helpful. We did not require transportation, therefore, I did not check it.
This was not an issue for us, but anyone 6' or taller would have felt a little cramped in the bathroom. It's an old building that is beautifully redone and I expect each room is a little unique from the next so maybe ask about bathroom size/amenities (i.e. we had no tub but a very ample shower) if that's a concern for you. We absolutely loved our stay!!

The Casablanca is a charming "old style" NYC hotel. It feels more like a home than a hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful, the second floor living area is a bonus. The location is totally awesome (about 25 steps off Times Square, and QUIET). The Times Square subway is a five minute walk. We will stay again!

I really liked the Casablanca as the staff is wonderful and the hotel is so little so it is easy to get to the street. The decor however needs upgrading. We had a king size bed and the room was large enough with a lovely bathroom. The rug however has seen better days in the room as well as the hallways. Perhaps replace the decorative cushions in the rooms as well as there are just darn old.

My husband and I stayed at the Casablanca for 4 nights to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. We couldn’t have been more thrilled with our entire stay! From the welcome we received, the ease of reservation, the wonderful customer service at the Front Desk (Jeff, Dimitri), Breakfast Bar, and prompt daily housekeeping. The hotel is an older building (don’t expect huge rooms, marble bathrooms, or big elevators), but is extremely charming and very unique which was exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in the Petite Queen on the 6th floor which didn’t come with a refrigerator, but when I requested one, Brian kindly accommodated and there was a small fridge in our room upon check in. It’s also very quiet, which is great since Times Square is one block away.
Brian also arranged to have 2 post cards printed and personalized for the birthday and anniversary. I’d read all of the positive reviews on this place and am happy to say the Casablanca lived up to all and even exceeded them! We can’t wait to return.

A cute boutique hotel right near Times Square. It is amazingly quiet considering the location. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I like that they include breakfast in the resort fee and have snacks available in the lounge all day long. Very good price for the location as well. It's an old building with a few quirks, such as a half-sized elevator and a very steep staircase, but I found this added to its charm.
