It’s old and run down. It looks like everything is from a garage sale. It smells old. It doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel at all.

Cute and Clean
Cute place to stay, good location, room was clean as was the common areas! Would definitely stay again. All staff were very friendly and helpful despite it being a very busy weekend!

Building is old and was refurbished. Not what I expect from Graduate properties. Toilet broke. Shower had terrible pressure. Small bathroom. Would not stay here again for $380/night!!

This place has a nice hipster vibe going on. The property is dated but well kept and most importantly clean. It was generally comfortable with 4 pillows on the beds and then places to hookup usb directly to lamps by the bed which some hotels still don't provide. The rates were reasonable as well. all my interactions with the staff were good and finally the attached food hall has reasonably priced food options that to my taste buds were fine and killer lattes in the morning hours as well. I did not have a car so no idea about the parking situation as it it located right by the campus. Would stay again.

❤️ to “ It's a cute little RETRO boutique hotel. Rooms are tiny. Bed is good. Great towels!! We had breakfast and a late evening burger at their restaurant…DELICIOUS! Not a lot of menu choices but what we ate delicious. Parking is great. Nice pool. Three blocks our ultimate destination so convenient. Overpriced (not to bad) but they all are! Nice staff!!! All students it seemed. Great young people! We would stay again. ”

Would not recommend this hotel. The staff were very nice. Had to request new pillows on the bed since the ones I had smelled like they had never been cleaned. The food in the restaurant, especially breakfast, was poorly prepared. Would not stay here again.

Great place! Super comfy, friendly staff, interesting and eclectic art throughout the hotel, convenient location. Unfortunately we only spent a night here but would have loved to have spent more time to take advantage of the hotel bar and pool. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very clean and it was easy to adjust temperature of the room to my liking. I think that my bathroom sink was a bit slow to drain, but otherwise no issues.

Good stay for 1 night
Selected this hotel strictly based on location. Was attending a concert at ASU Gammage and it’s literally right across the street. Our stay was only for 1 night which was comfortable but if I was staying longer I would have chosen a different hotel. The room and bathroom were small, staff was nice, bar in the hotel had great drinks (did not try the food).

This hotel is extremely dated. I was given a room where the bathroom had not been cleaned from the last guests. Used soap, dirty towels, garbage overflowing, etc.
They did move to me another room which was cleaner. The air conditioner blows directly on you while in bed, the plug on lamp does not work to charge your phone, and the carpets are filthy. Definitely skip this one.

Such a cute place!
From the moment we walked in the lobby doors the experience was nothing short of amazing! The staff was helpful and friendly.
This hotel and all the decor was so modern and fun! Didn’t know it until we arrived but our room had a balcony and it was so cute and fun!

I stayed at the hotel for a day. I had a long drive and was ready to relax. I went to check in and the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. A manager came out and assisted with the check-in. Both men were very professional and polite. They were kind enough to upgrade me and gave me free parking for the night, which was very considerate. I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely book again!

Spent a few nights there for our son's graduation.
Nice hotel conveniently located just south of the ASU campus, and next to a Tempe street car stop.
Very pleasant staff. Special ASU happy hour was a nice touch.
In summary, a good address for parents visiting ASU students from out of state.

You have to pay for parking, even though the parking lot is empty. And it didn’t state that anywhere.
I had to walk in and kill 3 moths before even unloading my luggage. The shower head is gross. Broken tiles.
There’s no shampoo. No trash in the room minus the small one in the bathroom.
It’s a very disappointing experience.

The staff at check-in did not "warn" me about the additional fee for parking on site. Only found with a note demanding payment or my car would be towed way!
Pool encourages local home residents to use the pool at the hotel.
Rooms need upgrading.

The Graduate is a great place to stay for college visits. Very nice staff. This hotel is a bit more dated than the other Graduate Hotels we have been to but I would still highly recommend!

Poor service. Not a 4 star hotel at all.
No housekeeping service. Told front desk when we went out for dinner. Came home still no housekeeping. Asked for coffee to be brought up. They brought 6 packets of decaf. Called the next morning so they could bring up regular coffee. No one ever showed.

Very cool hotel. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Room could have been cleaned better. Refrigerator had 1 empty can of water and one can that looked like it exploded in the freezer. Room rate was $100 more than usual because of spring break. Other than those two minor issues, my stay was great.

Homebase for Taylor Swift concert.
Loved The Graduate Tempe. Is it an older hotel that was remodeled? Yes. Could it make a few improvements? Sure. Did I have a single issue over my 2 night stay? Nope. Was super comfortable for me and my teen daughter. I have Hotels.Com VIP Gold status and they honored free parking, upgrade, and late check-out. Room was spacious and clean. Nice balcony to sit and enjoy the weather. AC worked well but took me a minute to adjust for right temperature. Ample parking was available. 4th floor was quiet. I think only one elevator worked but never had to wait. One thing I would suggest improving is letting guests know about amenities available. I was told about breakfast availability (I would skip it) but not that there is a microwave on the floor which I could have used to warm up food. I had a few drinks in the bar around 9pm on a Friday and it was empty. Really good drinks and super nice bartender. 8 forgot to ask her name. The next mor.ing at breakfast the service was meh and the food was also meh. Convenience was only reason to eat there. No clue about shuttle since I had my car but did hear a few lobby conversations about inconvenience.

The property was well-maintained and the room was small, but comfortable and included outdoor space. All the staff were very kind. The property is right across the street from ASU and walking distance to many restaurants. If you are looking for a great pet-friendly option, you found it! They have a small backyard that my medium/not super active English bulldog loved, plus offered pet dishes at check in. We had a great stay and would definitely return if in the area.

Stayed for one night. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet but it is some of the little things. The towel rack fell off the wall and had to be put back up, couldn’t find a glass to have a drink of water, hotel was a 20 or 25 minute walk to fun. Was great to have the venue for our event essentially across the street though

Had an excellent stay for an ASU visit. I’ve been to a few other Graduate hotels and they are among my favorite places to stay. The Tempe location is one of the oldest Graduate Hotels and it’s showing its age. The room decor and amenities are not quite up to the newer ones’ standards, however the service, staff, affordability, and location make up for that.

Paper thin walls!
That’s my only complaint. Could hear one neighbor breathing and could hear my other neighbor rustling papers and coughing. It was as if we were all in the same room.
Other than the hotel needing a little TLC, it’s super cute in terms of theming and design. The check in staff was fantastic as was the gal running the bar at breakfast.

i walked in and no person was at the front desk ; when the guy finally ran over and acknowledged me he was very disheveled. he proceeded to check me in; gave me the room key. i wen tup, let myself in, and there were other guests things there as it was an occupied room! that made me feel uneasy to eventually leave my things.... i came back down and when i explained he said to me "did you look around and see if they were packing up to leave?" "NO!" whay would i snoop around another guests things!!! and would someone do that to my things!!! will not be back, glad my stay was brief

Really accommodating staff. I had a little problem at check-in and received a very noisy room next to a utility closet that had some sort of machine running. The staff seemed so overwhelmed that I didn't feel I wanted to go through the hassle of changing rooms. Plus the hotel was very full. I commented on my problem and the customer liason contacted me with several suggested solutions. I appreciated his attention and ended up with an overall positive impression of the hotel despite a rough start. Thanks for the free breakfast!

Great Vibe, Great Service, Good Value
Overall, we loved this place. We were referred here by locals we met while on vacation in Tempe. The staff is super friendly and ready to help with anything. The decor was fun and retro-modern, though parts of the room were looking well-used and a bit worn (missing hand rail in the elevator, bathroom door trim, peeling wallpaper, etc.). The Food Hall has a small menu, though everything was super tasty and the service was great. The bed pillows really are my only complaint...they just weren't very comfy. The location really can't be beat...convenient to the airport and everything downtown. Would stay here again.

Loved the retro look, very clean. Super comfortable beds and a hot shower to enjoy after a long day. The restaurant looked good and we would have liked to have eaten there but we had plans with some friends so missed it this time. Shuttle was offered but we didn't need it this time. The pool area and hot tub were lovely although too chilly this time of year to utilize.
All in all a great stay. Thanks!

The stay was nice, staff very friendly, bed amazingly comfortable. My only negative comment is the coffee. I don't think I have every stayed in a hotel that did not have a pot of coffee in the lobby for guests. I understand there were coffee bags in the room, but they are very muddy tasting, did the trick for the morning cup, but I really enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the morning. Two out of the three mornings I was in line 10 to almost 15 minutes for just a cup of coffee and it was very frustrating. I suggest you look into a way to serve the guest that only want a cup of coffee a little quicker. Thank you.

Our bathroom was a bit missed in places when cleaned the last time- someone else’s hair was on the sink and there was a smudge on the door that I cleaned. The shower gel was empty and the shower seemed also missed in cleaning. Otherwise- it was good.

Nice quiet and comfortable
Pretty cool retro furniture and had a nice balcony that looked over the campus. Shower was good and the soap and conditioner was good.
The bartender made a fantastic old fashioned cocktail!

Very unique hotel. The key cards being designed as school id's were nice touch. The decor is very nice. The balcony was nice, just didn't like the fact that the view was a not so pleasant looking alley but was not a deal breaker. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Find another place to stay…
Extremely dated, tired, run down and musty smelling. Walls had a very dirty
appearance. Booked and paid for a King bed, got a queen, which was then not adjusted in price.
We also had a “handicapped accessible” room. Believe me when I say they don’t mean easily accessible the “walk in” shower could not be accessed easily by a person in a wheelchair.
While we weren’t there to watch TV, the TV did not work. Another couple in our party didn’t even have a remote for the TV in their room. There is no refrigerator & very little with regard to in-room or in-facilty amenities.

Check in did not address parking. Parking here is a pain, they use an app, and the app doesn’t work and they send you texts like you're a criminal. Its an unnecessary hassle. Also couldn't give me a receipt after they ran my card multiple times.

Dinner, Show, and Stay!
Great location for catching a show at ASU Gammage! Check in was fast and easy. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had a light dinner and drinks at the food court and bar. Good food, great service, and reasonable prices. Then easy walk over to the theater to see Lion King. Perfect evening and after the show a peaceful nights sleep!

The room was cramped, clean but poorly maintained. Work space was very limited with electrical plugs that did not support extensions. The one floor lamp actually had its on/off switch on the floor behind a chair. Bathroom very cramped.

Comfortable place to stay
Hotel is comfortable. Bar is really needs a revamp. Service is good but the ordering for food is very confusing. If that were mad easier I think the bar would entertain more customers. There was live music when we were there and the gal was quite good.
