It was a great place to stay for my first visit to Hawaii. Diamond Head was so close, I could see it every time I looked out the window…the Honolulu Zoo was across the street…the beach was down the street…awesome…awesome trip!

Room smelled the whole time we were there. When we first arrived there was hair in the shower from previous party. Often times are room was not cleaned up after and they didn't refill our shower products until asked.

The ocean view room I paid more for was a sliver of view down the street. Nothing like the pictures online. The beach chair system was bizarre. To have to ask for chairs daily as early as 5:30am was bonkers. Why don’t all rooms have chairs available to guests? There were days we ended up with the last of the bottom of the barrel and rusty chairs that should’ve been in the garbage. Parking was another issue. Disaster, to say the least.
On a bright note, the housekeeping and breakfast staff were top notch. Very helpful and friendly. Convenient walk to the beach and the main shopping area of Waikīkī beach.

The staff is amazing, always saying Aloha, we arrived really late due to our flight and they got us checked in quickly, seeing we were exhausted. Next time a higher floor as the 3rd floor can be noisy outside, early in the morning.

Generally clean in all areas in Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach. It is only a block away from the beach. There are food trucks beside the hotel alley in evening. We booked an ocean view room, it is spacious. Staffs are friendly. There are free flow drinking water to fill your water bottles anytime in the lobby. Nice place to stay for family.

We loved our stay at Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach! It’s very convenient and close to all the prime locations like the beach, Diamond Head Crater etc. We enjoyed their breakfast and loved the fact that they have water fountain available. Definitely would come back here again.

The Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is beautiful and the staff is wonderful! It is very close to the beach, about two blocks away. Waikiki is a walking city, so in 15-20 minutes you can beach, shop, eat, or see amazing sights. You can see Diamondhead in one direction, and the Pacific Ocean in the other. The breakfast buffet included eggs, meats (mainly pork so I didn't eat any), bread, bagels, steel-cut oatmeal with raisins, craisins, honey, and brown sugar, cold cereals, milk, vanilla yogurt, delectable fresh fruit, granola, kim chi, tsukemono, tofu, rice, and boiled eggs. Each day they changed up your choice of waffles, pancakes, or french toast sticks.
The hotel is in a busy area of a major city, so it is bustling and quite noisy. Be sure to get up early to see the sunrise over Diamondhead. My room had a city view, so only had a partial view of it, but go to Diamondhead for the sunrise and watch it from the lookout point.the lookout from

The property overall is high quality and staff is excellent and they have beach items for rental (though not in excellent quality) like beach chair, toys etc.
Staff was super good.
Breakfast arrangement was really good that it helped move very quickly.
Good dining options including dominos in house.
Number of elevators were less and we (and everyone) ends up spending lot of time getting in and out. Just 2. For their property they need minimum 4.
Just like every where else in Waikiki Valet parking is $53 though there are near by choices that you can get for $25 and $30. I started to think that providing free or cheap parking might become the attraction of Waikiki soon. While lot of things can be done thru airport shuttle and uber, our own car for some of us is very convenient.

The Front Desk staff was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast facilities as well as the eating options were note the best. This facilities were out in the open and the presence of several pigeons on the ground and jumping on the table were a total nuisance and a threat to the facilities higiene. Also, some (not all) of the room cleaning staff would ocassionally have frowning faces and would not seem friendly.

Pictures appeared on the site vs reality is definetly misleading. Some staff as receptionist not being customer friendly. Food is average and mattress size not accurate (if they say King size, its an actual Queen size and if queen size, then its a double size...). Finally, the parking fees are way overpriced. Best to just park for free around the area which not informed by anyone from the hotel. Location is prime and cleaning service was good.

Well hidden gem of a hotel. Clean, quiet, comfortable beds, numerous towel hooks, excellent staff (esp night shift security officer -pleasant and a wealth of knowledge), convenient to beach/hiking/shopping, wonderful breakfast with Asian food options (watch out for the birds!), water station and late night food options appreciated!.

We stayed at Hyatt Place, because it is one of the few hotels in Waikiki that has queen size beds. Most other hotels in Waikiki offer full size beds. The queen size beds were comfortable, and hotel rooms were good size for our family of 4.
The free morning breakfast at 6:30am was great to help us get started before a busy day of activities. Love that there was 7-stage water filtration dispenser in the hotel lobby. Very convenient and reduced plastic bottle waste.
Hotel was super close to Waikiki beach and Honolulu Zoo. We did rent a car to visit other parts of Oahu. There is free street parking if you’re willing to drive around to hunt for it.
The smell from Dominos on the first floor was strong. If you like Dominos, then you’re in heaven. If not, it may be annoying to have the smell of Dominos pizza when you walk past the hotel lobby. We caved in and bought Dominos pizza for dinner one night. There are 5 food trucks that are set up adjacent to hotel lobby, which looked decent but we didn’t have time to try. Next time!

I never stayed at Hyatt before and I was really looking forward to this trip. Few things I didn't like:
- Late check-out was not available.
- Parking was $75USD tax per day
- Breakfast rotation every 4 days. No fresh veggies, cheese or peanut butter.

We were surprised to learn that after booking and paying for hotel there was additional surcharge called resort fee. This was not told earlier, hyatt people blamed Expedia and Expedia refused to provide additional details. Hotel staff readentire terms and conditions and could not find reference to this additional fee but still ended up charging.

Elevators were constsntly cloged, there were never any convenient times to use them over the stairs especially during the late hours. Another is the pool size, despite being called a resort, the pool size was no larger than the rooms we booked. Not to mention $35 for room Service, for towels? Dissapointed over the price to service ratio.

We were here for 7 days with a family of 4. Overall stay was very good. Worth the money paid. Very close to the Kuhio and Waikiki Beach. Safe area for late night walks. Room sizes were the best. Breakfast is included and was awesome with pretty good options daily. Views of diamond head were stellar. Our room has both diamond head view and ocean view. The room service was great!! Biggest advantage is that the hotel is on the road where you can hop onto Waikiki trolleys and other tour buses. A convinient ABC stores is a min walk away. The hotel itself was very very clean with very friendly staff. Helped us weigh our bags while checkout and gave us a room of our choice. You can ask for beach towels and other beach utilities that the hotel has.
The flip sides are the dining area for breakfast is open roof and you have heavy wind gusts and lots of birds flying around for their share of breakfast. The elevators were another issue. Takes time during checkout and breakfast times as there are only two elevators for 20 floors. Valet parking can get full if you arrive late night. It's a pain to scout for parking around the hotel. So is the case everywhere else in Waikiki.

Property was affordable on Expedia, could’ve been a bit cheaper if booked earlier than a month away! Staff are very welcoming and nice! Cleaning in the room daily was nice, always gave new towels and took old ones. Breakfast was great, not always the same meals everyday which was good! Check out there activities with the hotel, rather than booking your own, prices maybe be cheaper at the hotel than online bookings. My husband and I had a great stay! Plus we got acquainted on the highest floor with nice views of the city and Diamond Head. transportation is very close by. Just a block away from hotel which is so convenient to where you want to get too, whether it’s within Waikiki or outside the city! Recommend this place to those who want to come out here in Waikiki HI

I thought location was great. Really close to beaches, food trucks and other food options. I liked included water bottles and $5 daily credit. We particularly enjoyed ability to get free towels, chairs and boogie board! Only minor room for improvement is it would be good to have small microwave, have coffee cups in higher location (cups and coffee products too low). We liked balcony seats in front with view of ocean. Would stay here again. Oh, one last thing the breakfast hours and options were great. However, on our last day it started raining. Need to re-think having an indoor enclosed option. Everyone got their food and took to room since few umbrella seating was full.

This property is more like a basic motel than a Hyatt hotel. The 20 story building is served by two elevators that are also used by the hotel service staff. The breakfast is served on the third floor deck next to the baby size pool that no one ever uses. Except for the nice sized rooms and overpriced parking ( almost $60 per day), there’s nothing worth mentioning about this hotel
