We were there in winter time, so the hotel was definitely doing some off season updates, but our room was very clean and as expected. Plus the staff were all very nice and helpful. Overall we were happy given the price point

The resort is older but overall clean. The resort is right on the boardwalk so our few of the ocean from our balcony was wonderful, The queen beds though are definitely not queen. We are glad we got doubles. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Overall our stay was ok. There is nothing upscale about the facility. The room was clean and the room staff did a nice job. The bath and shower were very good.with adequate soaps and towels. The bed was ok too. Nice little kitchenette and everything worked well.
A couple of things I felt lacking: the TV channel selection is pretty poor.
A bold notification next to the pool listing in the amenities provided stating the the pool closes after Labor Day would be helpful. After contacting BW they said this was mentioned elsewhere in there information and it was. Expedia needs highlight this also. Not having an available pool was a real disappointment.
Overall though, nothing fancy but it works if your looking for a reasonably priced ocean front room with a balcony.

Hotel was secure better than most I’ve stayed in. It is somewhat dated but clean, housekeeping staff was great. This was a nice space for two people, complete with kitchenette which was nice. The bed was smaller than usual hotels I’ve been in. Mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. In general the stay was nice, would use again. Price was responsible.

Can tell the building is a little outdated, but don't let that hinder your stay! Only thing is that there wasn't good insulation at the door, i could see sunlight and heat coming through. The first night i could tell someone was smoking outside our door.

The front desk clerk Sharon when was extremely helpful and kind when checking people in. She was beside herself handling check ins and calls. She accommodated my request for a lower room. Hotel room itself is clean. Housekeeping does an amazing job when requested.
Property conveniently is a short to the beach.
Only down side I can say is the bed is hard for an expecting momma. Also the shower water pressure hits hard. It would be nice if we can adjust the setting.

For a mid-priced beach hotel this was pretty good. We had the bedroom suite - the bedroom doesn't have a window which is a little disconcerting at first, but it's fine. The room was very clean, and we had enough towels and blankets. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. The pullout couch was better than some I've seen, but could stand be upgraded. The room itself smelled like grease at night which was unfortunate - I didn't smell it anywhere else in the hotel and we weren't there long enough to bother asking the front desk to investigate. Minor complaints - no coffee table, not enough towel hooks, safe had no instructions and we couldn't figure it out. You can't beat the location - right on the boardwalk! We'd stay here again.

I was disappointed in the condition of the property. However, the staff was great.
1) Lobby is small & in the garage
2) Only 1 very old and sketchy/scary elevator - long wait times…in the heat
3) Entire location needs to be re-painted or at least power washed. Dirt, Spider webs with bugs everywhere.
4) Room and balcony furniture old and dirty - stained sofa. I never sat on it. Used hard stained green chairs only.
5) Balcony railing does not look and feel secure
6) No screen to balcony, couldn’t open the door to enjoy the sounds and smells of the ocean… my main reason for getting an ocean front room
7) Dishes are old and needs to be replaced
8) Bathroom tub is old and stained. Something fury growing in between the floor molding
9) Bed is unstable and noisy
10) For rainy days - Limited TV channels

The shower in my room didn’t have any water pressure and the water didn’t drain properly, so I was standing in water over my ankles whenever I tried too shower. I told the front desk, who sent up the maintenance guy and nothing changed.

Loved it!
All of the staff were very friendly! Our hotel room was clean and we loved the view! No loud music or guests. Didn't smell of smoke. It is what you get for the price. It's not very fancy, just the basics. However, it is very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend if you are looking to vacation on a budget.

The elevator definitely needs to be serviced and inspected and cleaned. The water pressure wasn’t strong compared to the other hotels we’ve stayed at. The sofa was old and dirty. The doorway entry into room is definitely small. The room had a smell to it but went away once we left the balcony door open for awhile. Hotel could use some updating altogether. The blanket that was on the bed was super thin like a sheet. Found hair on one of washcloths and one of towels. The lady that checked us in was nice and helpful and she was the only staff we saw. Didn’t like the fact that someone could easily go from balcony to balcony(that’s a safety issue as well).

Good price and location
Check in was quick and easy. I came into town for my sons track meet and the price was perfect for an overnight stay. It was even a great rate for being so close to the boardwalk and beach. Only problem was that the bedroom stayed super cold even with the heat turned all the way up. The main area was toasty though. I didn’t get the receptionist name but she was very nice.

Great hotel
We had a great stay! Check in was fast and easy. The room was clean and big enough for our family of 6 and we had a great view of the beach. You really can’t beat the price for what you get. We are definitely staying here again.

The property was very dated. Not sire what they use to clean the floors but it was disgusting. Told the office person amd she confirmed she did not k kw what it was and that others had complained. Got charged two extra times for our room and waiting for that to get fixed. Overall would not recommend.

Staff was very friendly and the room layout worked very well for 3 people. The kitchen was very short silverware and utensils. We were told the pool was open when we checked in but it was closed our entire stay, The room furnishings were very outdated. The sleeper sofa was very old and dirty and definitely needs to be updated. We did experience water blowing under the balcony door and a leak from the ceiling from the storm which was no fault of the hotel. We were the only room out of 4 that did not have to move rooms because of flooding. The manager on duty did not seem prepared to handle the situation and was just offering towels to soak up the water, We were without TV for 2 solid days (Friday & Saturday) which was horrible since we could not leave our room all day on Friday. Luckily they were able to get it fixed on Sunday for football.. My flight got cancelled at the last minute on Friday 9-30-22 due to the storm from Ian. I was re-booked by Southwest on Monday 10-3-22.. I was disappointed and don't feel like Sure Stay worked very hard to give me a discount for my extra days.

Nice oceanfront room with kitchen and pull out couch. The space was convenient and walkable to the ocean. Guest services didn't frequent the room. I walked to the lobby two different times for supplies such as towels, toilet paper, and coffee cups. Employees seemed mostly helpful. I would possibly consider staying again in the future, but exploring other options for our next stay.

The room was all that we needed for our quick get away. It was oven front with nice balcony. Mini kitchen was fully equipped if we wanted to cook a mean. Large refrigerator was great. The tv in the living room area and the tv in the bedroom area was great. One for kids one for adults. Would stay here again.

Great affordable family hotel
We chose this as a budget friendly hotel for our family of 5. It was not as updated as other hotels, but that was expected given the lower price. It was very clean and provided ample space for our family including the ability to bring our own food to eat at the hotel. The service was excellent, and we were allowed to park at the hotel before check-in and after check-out.

The balcony view was gorgeous! The room was very outdated and needed a good cleaning. There was no housekeeping so we had to take a basket of dirty towels down each day to replace them. The room had only the barest of necessities. We made the best of it and had a wonderful time!

Perfect location, great for families
Great family- and budget-friendly choice for a beach vacation right on the boardwalk. All-oceanfront suite hotel with pull-out couch in main room, efficiency kitchen, and bedroom with two double beds. Beach access through hotel hallway with shower to rinse off sand before going back to room. Free parking is an awesome benefit for the central oceanfront location. Walk to shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff was super helpful despite being incredibly busy. Rooms in decent shape with good amenities. Hope to stay again soon!

Disappointing but great view
Front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was extremely disappointing. Extremely. The coffee pot wasn’t big enough for the coffee maker and wouldn’t make coffee without me holding it up to release the coffee. Front door doesn’t open all the way. The bedrooms are in the BACK of the room so you only have ocean view if you are in the living area. So we slept on the sleeper sofa.

July 2022- this property was very clean which was a surprise because i never think my vacation rentals are clean. I loved that there was no carpet in the room because carpet is gross. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Having a stove was a life saver because nearby breakfast was way overpriced.

Oldie but goodie.
The staff was super kind and helpful. They were prompt with every question we had. The rooms are older, but refinished. The view out to the ocean was gorgeous. Our family of 5 fit great. Also, there's an ice cream shop right next door.. you can grab some on your way back up from the water.

Should fix faucets in the kitchen and bathroom. It’s painful to see the loss of water for simple fixes. Could enjoy room cleaning and get clean set of towels, trash picked up, room cleaned after the sand from the beach.

Very dirty
The floors in the room were dirty. Crumbs and dirt on all the floors. We had to wear socks and shoes the whole time. The bottom of our socks were filthy. I would never stay here again. I wasted my reward night on this!

“Value” resort
We had a great time at this facility, but there were moments that reminded you that you were at a value resort. The balcony door was hard to maneuver and there were dirty dishes in the cupboard. We had to request more bedding to accommodate the beds we had, but the location was fantastic and I feel we got a great value.

No frills but clean and spacious
No frills, but clean, very spacious and an excellent view. Loved having a kitchen so we could save money on eating out every meal. Parking spaces were limited and tight. We got the suite so the bedroom was separate from kitchen area with sofa bed. I would definitely stay again

Have stayed here before and said we wouldnt stay again but unfortunate that ended up happening again due to the name chage of the hotel. Only 1 elevator and it was constantly making a loud screeching noise when going down. The views was great, probably about the only thing we liked about it. They need to update the furniture and beds. Bed was not comfortable at all. I would prefer not to stay her again. Staff overall was friendly and helpful.

Good for the price.
Our family had a suite. It had enough room. A refrigerator, stove, sink, dishes. It had a separate room with two beds and a pull out couch in the living room.

We enjoyed our trip. The first room we went into was pretty gross. The beds were disgusting. They changed rooms for us and it was better. Phone in room didn’t work. Defin needs updates. Never rode elevator got stuck one day we saw when we walked. The pool was kept well which was great bc my kids loved to swim

My Surestay Experience
1. The main door would not even latch. Had to put full force into the door to get it to close
2. There were many roaches that came out late at night, my roomates smashed at least 4.
3. The noise level from the street is absurd. I could hear busses backing up right outside the hotel.
4. The sliding glass door in the hotel did not even lock. The lock was stuck and I felt that my posessions were highly unsafe.
5. The safe was rusty and the "included instructions" were missing, rendering the safe unusable.
6. The washing machine and dryer on the 7th floor were visibly rusty and smelled of old must. I had to dry my clothes a few times during my stay. The 5th floor door wouldnt even recognize my key so that washer and dryer was inaccessible to everyone. (Another guest even tried and failed)
7. When describing the issues with the front desk employee, she simply stated that "all hotels around here are like this" and that "its the oceanfront view that im paying for, not the other stuff".
Highly unprofesional.
8. The cable elevator felt like it would break any second. With a sign taped on the door that stated that the staff was aware of the cable noises and that it was "deemed safe". Other guests who were with us on the elevator stated that it was broken before we arrived and that they were suprised to see it working so quickly.
8. Overall the hotel experiece was absolutely dismal and I will never stay in a Surestay or Best Western again.

Great place on the oceanfront.
Quick trip but found a jewel. Very nice suite. Very bright and clean. Nice tile floor. Nice kitchen area and beautiful bathroom. Very nice place.

Was not informed about guests passes for visitors so my friends vehicle was towed.. I was checked in early to my relief. Elevator was always packed. Carts and boxes were always blocking up the hallways but other than that a great stay

stayed in a i bedroom with 2 beds and had a pullout couch in main area which also had kitchen...ask for a pillow for pullout and was told take one off other 2 beds...they never serviced room not even remove garbage. so basically cleaned own room took towels to lobby and had to pick up new towels, and then at check out they told me they didnt charge me enough and would be keeping part of the 100 incidental fee they hold...i booked and paid through Hotels.com

Stay Sure … I’ll be Sure to NEVER Stay again. Room wasn’t ready until after 5pm. The room was literally on the 2nd parking deck. The bedroom was cave like. The sheets on both beds were dirty. The temperature in the room never went below 80 degrees even tho the thermostat was set at 65. We heard every conversation occurring on the boardwalk. Someone knocked on the door at 1am. The room next to us was so loud that no one slept for more than an hour or so at a time … the night before a marathon!

Let me start with the good parts. Hotel was clean,staff was very friendly and the location was good. The bad list is long so ill only share the highlights. The room was similar to a prison cell. Huge crack in the ceiling, miss matched flooring and wind/water coming in from the sliding door. The couch was beaten and worn out. The televisions in both rooms were very old and had horrible pictures. They operated on some outdated satellite system with 2 local channels and about 12 cable channels, half of which worked properly. Rooms need a total remodel to say the least

For the price, the stay was worth it. I did not spend a lot of time in the room, but at night it was a bit noisy. Every siren at night seemed to be amplified by the concrete of the building. There were a number of younger people at the hotel that seemed to enjoy slamming doors, not the fault of the hotel but a result of the economy pricing.

Hotel I believe is being remodeled. We got a room on 2nd floor. Exterior door, room was a suite and very nice size for a double bed room with a pull out. No breakfast set up yet. Didn’t have to use Wi-Fi. Nice oceanfront view with balcony.

I liked it was on oceanfront. The balcony over looked beach.
I hated I didnt know a Holiday run was going on all the streets were blocked off. Finally got to check in on time but to get kids to bring back traffic at ocean front was insane.
Hotel wasnt bad for price double beds , couch pulled out, you have a fridge ,stove , and cabinets,
The only thing I didnt like the floor is tile but was to slippery felt grimmy .
Besides the floor I had no problems . You cant get to floors unless you have a key to get onto floors from bottom.
