Room clean, staff nice and helpful, complementary breakfast basic but ok. Big gap under room door opening onto the outside (cold wind and noise from the street easily getting in). Heater very noisy. Room on 5th floor with very slow elevator. Only two luggage trolleys available : one was completely broken and the other was small, impractical and about to break.

Had no hot water called front desk she was sorry at 9:00 she offered to put us in another room we all were in our night clothes and settle in with all our stuff so really did not want to move again

Clean & comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, HBO. Walking distance to good small restaurants and pancake house. Walk across street to beach. No beach view because of hotel across street but Sunset view.

We stayed here for one night and checked in super late! Like 4:00 am and the staff was accommodating for us to check in that late and was efficient in getting us checked in because they knew we were exhausted after our long drive.
Don’t let the outside of this hotel deter you from staying. It may appear to some to be “dated” or not high quality but, we were very impressed with the modern look inside the rooms and the cleanliness and comfort level of the beds. We had no complaints and it was a perfect clean place to lay our heads after a long night of driving.
Upon check out the man working at the desk was super friendly and was telling us to enjoy our stay on the town and offered to let us continue to park in the lot and walk to the boardwalk for the weekend activities which I thought was nice as most places charge hoh to park and walk to the oceanfront.
I would definitely stay here again!

The manager was most helpful and enjoyed chatting with him. People like that can make or break a place. Not as nice as the places across the street, but then we didn't pay what they were charging. Half a block to the boardwalk and easy walking to dining areas. Would go back again.

Very nice hotel. It is conveniently located very close to the beac, clean, with great bed and daily housekeeping. It is my second stay there. This time the parking was less crowded and I had no problems with finding space to leave my car. But the best thing about the hotel is the staff, always friendly and willing to help. I was pleased to get an upgrade from a lady at the reception and got a room with ocean view. Thank you!

Staff was great. Received text message each day regarding our stay. Rooms were clean but could have been a little cleaner. We got what we paid for. Overall had a great vacation and happy with the hotel rates to make it more affordable.

The motel was nice and did what it needed to do while in town for a nearby family reunion. He was really only there to sleep at night and nothing more. The front desk staff were all very friendly. Parking right in front was super convenient. My son complained about the errant noise at night from outside the street level room that faced a busy street with active nightlife. Overall, it was a decent motel for a quick, 2 night visit.

The two of us are in our 70’s. The only problem we had in the room was with the toilet. It is a short toilet and there is nothing to assist in getting up after use. A handle on the wall directly in front of the toilet would have been very helpful. We took one of the desk chairs and kept it in the bathroom next to the toilet.

This property was disgusting. The bedding had boot prints on it, the floor was so dirty that my child's feet were black after 5 mins of being barefoot, there were roaches in the room, the bed was so insanely uncomfortable that we couldn't sleep, and the pool was so murky that I couldn't even see the bottom of the "5ft" sign on the side of the pool. The staff were nice, I felt bad they had to work in those conditions.

room was ok, small but adequate. Staff was friendly at check-in, mattress was wonderful. Easy walk to dining, beach, shops, etc.
Negative- traffic noise was almost constant. Both nights there were guests making LOTS of noise. First night was family letting their kids scream in pool area till after 10 pm, second night some guests threw a party in the front parking lot, until after midnight.

Rooms are updated. Includes safe, very cold refrig, hairdryer, etc. beds are firm, pillows are a bit hard and feels like you slept on a rock but I think that’s my only complaint. Danielle at the desk is amazing. The breakfast in the morning is better than I thought it would be. There are no eggs no meat but tons of other items to pick from. This is a motel surrounded by what appears to be all the high end hotels. So if you don’t feel jealousy your paying half the price here. Also it’s literally a half a block to the beach. You walk across the street and between the two high class hotels is the entrance to the boardwalk. One block down is Pocahontas a great breakfast/lunch diner. Always packed. I’d stay again for this price.

We were there for a long weekend, wanted to stay close to the beach, affordably. Our stay as ok, not bad, not great. Check in was good, and everyone was friendly. Our room was standard. Nothing to rave about, but it was a bed to sleep in and a place to cool off. One thing, was it was the best hair dryer Ive had in a hotel! 😂. Location was good, on the north end of the boardwalk, so we walked alot. The trolley pick up is close, which is nice!

Easiest parking Ive ever had at a beach hotel. I loved not having a garage with tiny parking spaces. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Hotel is convenient to many places along the boardwalk and easy to get to. The walk across the street to the beach is very easy and quick with beach access right there. Only thing I didn't like is that there were no balconies to hang wet towels/bathing suits out to dry so everything seemed to stay wet as it does in beach hotels.

The actual hotel was nothing like what was portrayed in the photos that we looked at when booking rooms. Parking was very tight. Rooms were satisfactory but very small with only double beds. We had one room that was a suite and had planned to use the pull-out couch for one of us to sleep on. It was not clean enough for any of us to even consider using. We had only two blankets. One was sent with a housekeeper because it had stains on it. Another one was never returned to us. We were able to cook a meal in the suite, but only one of the burners worked. The air conditioning unit shut off with a bang every time it completed it's cycle. This was a very disappointing location and we very much regret not finding a more suitable hotel.

The lady who checked us in, Josa was very kind and knowledgeable. Right away we all clicked and had some great conversation. She offered tips for exploring and good breakfast spot. The pool is nothing to be be desired at all. The parking was very compact. My biggest complaint was breakfast. It was a continental breakfast( bagels, toast, cereal).. the milk thermals were never filled, the banana was only fruit choice, all brown spots, the yogurt machine was empty and the girl "maintaining" the breakfast station didnt care to tend to any of it. The breakfast was already slim pickings I was very annoyed to find that the little thay was there wasnt plenty.

Very unclean. Lots of people of suspicious nature hanging outside their rooms with other people. Water on elevator floors and hall floors. Room had an odor of bug spray. Wed never stay here again.

This hotel was in a great location and the front desk staff was amazing and super friendly upon checking in. Things I didn’t like was we had no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel in our bathroom. The house keeping people woke us up everyday at 9:30am knocking asking if we needed more towels or toilet paper- Being from the West Coast, this was like 6:30am our time and I felt it was too early to be waking people up on their vacation. The breakfast was ok- pretty much grab and go type of items and the coffee was nasty. But the rooms are cute and have plenty of space. It is really close to the beach and shopping. Not a bad choice to stay here, just not the best.

Close to the beach, convenient parking, clean room. Not impressed with the beds (very firm mattress. Not comfortable at all), the elevator was a little scary (very slow, noisy, often would stop at other floors before letting me off at my own), stairwells smelled like stale urine, noticed several cockroaches outside (though none in the room itself). Staff was friendly and helpful, air conditioning worked very well. Not a terrible stay, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Yes I would like management to get ahold of me there was mold on the bed, blood in the shower no elevator, paint was chipped and scratched my daughter, housekeeping never came to change the sheets it was my family's first vacation and it was the worst I have pictures of everything we also asked for owners telephone number and your staff refused to give it to me

Awesome Budget Friendly Hotel
This is an older hotel but very clean and maintained. The front desk clerk is probably the nicest front desk clerk I've ever met. She was so sweet. The rooms have a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. They give you a large number of towels and complimentary soap. They have an iron and blow dryer. Bed was nice. Checking out, the desk clerk said keep the parking pass and use it to park here for the beach if you need to park. He said we could also change in the lobby if we wanted to. This is not only the best customer service but they care about their customers. If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel on the beach, check this one out. I am definitely going back here. Before you ever arrive the text service sets a warm and welcoming atmosphere & upon your arrival the staff picks up the mantle. Every employee that I encountered was extremely kind & helpful. & I promise that the map is not lying this place, for this price is 1/2 block from the beach! The outside of the building could use a good paint job but my room (1 king) was clean & a nice size. My only complaints are that the front desk is not 24 hrs. as advertised, I called multiple times after midnight on my first night & no one answered. Also it's advertised that the rooms are hardwired for internet but I got no connection from my port and had to use wifi which was very slow for work (also, keep in mind that if you plan on working from here & you're required to take calls there are fighter jets (or at least that's what they look like to me) that go back & forth throughout the day, I didn't know this beforehand but luckily I didn't have many calls so it was fine. This is clearly nothing that I'm holding against the hotel, just an FYI.) Its not a full breakfast but rather a continental breakfast, which is what the website says, it's just not buffet style. It's a bag breakfast with a few different pastries and you can choose your fruit and drink. I'll absolutely be looking here for my next visit!

The pool was in shambles. They didn’t tell us they had additional parking behind the hotel until we checked out. The ice machine was broken. The bed frame was metal and squeaked all night every time you dare make a move. They had 2 hard chairs in the room with no couch or recliner or office chair. Nothing to set your bags on other than the floor or the bed you were sleeping in or the desk that the coffee maker was sitting on. And lord knows I wasn’t using the coffee maker. But you did have a laundry basket and 4 clothes pins. For what? Who knows, there was no where to hang towels or clothes to dry from the pool that was dry as a bone. It they had free coffee 24/7. You get what you pay for. Don’t pay for this.

Terrible Experience
The room was very smelly, and the pool out front was completely destroyed and an eyesore. Even the elevator was smelly. The description said “breakfast included” but the breakfast in question was a yogurt cup. Based on the description of the hotel and reviews, none of this was clear when booking the hotel.

Walls are super thin, could hear the guy in the next room blow his nose. Property is super sensitive about parking, nite clerk “chased” me to tell me I could not park there and I would get towed…she didn’t even look to see I had the parking permit on the dash board as instructed. Close to beach and restaurants but property is dated and elevator is scary slow

Refreshing Off-Beach Stay
First, the staff was amazing. We checked in late, but she was fresh, understanding and accommodating. The room was fresh and clean, with everything needed for a basic stay. Very little closet space, but still places to hang clothes, if needed. I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

The property is older but clean & very close to the beach & boardwalk. You can hear traffic or sirens. The bed was comfortable and had a room safe for your valuables & iron/ironing board. As a female traveling alone, I felt safe walking around in the evening well.

5 night stay
The hotel for the most part was ok. The rooms were redone in 2020 when it became a Sure Stay. The rooms were clean and in decent shape, HOWEVER the room always smelled musty due to the ac unit not being cleaned, the filters were caked with dirt as well as the cover had mold all over it. we also had ants on the furniture and killed three large roaches during our 5-night stay. My suggestion would be better preventative maintenance and better pest control especially in the southern climate. The price was reasonable, but you get what you pay for. The people were friendly, and the beds and bathroom were clean, but the insect issue and maintenance needs addressed to make a more enjoyable stay.
