Overall really poor hotel. Finding parking spot was just horrible. I don’t think this is just the problem of the hotel but in general in Hawaii you can’t find a parking spot. Also, staff members were so unprofessional- they had a hard time finding booking information under my name and kinda screwed my payment at first.

Very disappointing stay. We won’t be back.
We’ve stayed here several times. This will be our last. Unfortunately since changing hands (previously known as aqua oasis), their staff were less friendly and less helpful, their rooms weren’t nearly as clean and the courtesy bus they used to have to and from Ala Moana is no longer. Check in was 3pm, yet at 3:30pm our room was still not ready. Apparently housekeeping were still working on it. Front reception couldn’t have cared less that we’d just come off a flight and we’re overdressed and hot. No offer of another room, a cool drink or compensation. Another thing- they don’t have any other milk but cows milk at breakfast. Not good enough in this day and age guys. We won’t be staying again. Very disappointing as we’ve stayed several times in the past years as a family and always had great memories.

Very loud outside.
They tried to overcharge me $1000 as soon as I checked in. I was able to prove that the rate I booked on hotels.com was way lower than what they said my rate was, and they did take it off. But I could have easily missed it, almost did.
The parking lot behind the hotel is like one massive party at night. Cars parked with lots of subs cranking their base. It rattled the room every night.
The staff were very nice and friendly.
The price is excellent for a family of 5, but not if the base is loud outside until 3 am every night. It Woke the kids up almost every night.
There was also a hole in the bathroom ceiling and the building is so old I worried about asbesto.

Boutique property whose quirks come as a result of age. the facility is clearly a holdover, but that doesn't make it an unpleasant stay. Staff is good. location is decent with amenities all around.

Hotel is NOT an 8.2 as it was graded in Hotels.com. Very antiquated, needs an infusion of money to revamp it back to life, bar across the street had slew of people going behind the hotel and partying till 430 in the morning every single night we were there, bathtub faucet completely lose, bathtub on its last leg, sink handle constantly leaking water on top of sink and the breakfast not exactly what you see in the pictures. The only great and positive thing was the staff.

Older property. Clean. Calm and very conveniently located. Easy walk to tours or any restaurants. Close to beach and shopping. Would stay here again. Good price. Okay breakfast. Bagels toast and cereal. Not a bad experience. Felt like it was close to everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the Aqua Oasis! The staff were wonderful and the valet was super convenient, friendly and fast.
We stayed in room 1109 which has a wrap around balcony which was awesome as you could look out and see the ocean between the oceanfront hotels. Spacious room with a kitchenette was very handy as we brought some boxed food from home which we were able to cook and save some money.
Convenient location with walking to many shops and restaurants. Note that on Friday night it was loud as Waikiki is busy and everyone was out having a good time - we were able to sleep through it but if you have trouble with noise, ask for a quieter room (I think we heard more being on the top floor in the corner by the street).
The hotel is older, you can tell but we only had an issue with the shower head in which we were able to rejig it to stay in place just fine! My kids absolutely loved the toilet as it had a fancy bidet with heated seat.
Continental breakfast was nice to have - not a huge assortment but good enough! Bagels, toast, cereal, bananas/fruit and muffins along with coffee and juice.
Overall, we would stay here again and definitely recommend it!

Great Location to Everything
The staff and valet are great and friendly. Our room was dated and needs a makeover. The pool was small and perfect for a quick dip. The place is kid friendly and my son loved seeing Mike daily.
The location is close to everything, food and activity.
Improvements could be on the breakfast area, keeping the pigeons off of the food counters. I think a lot of the problem lies with the guest who think it’s cute to feed the birds.
Our AC did not work properly, despite asking them to check it out the day we checked in. I left the AC on 61 degrees, all day and it did little to the room.
I would stay here again since it is close to everything and the price is reasonable.

Staff was friendly. Rooms need to be updated and bathroom sink was clogged. Wooden cabinet door to fridge the hinges were loose and didnt close properly. I would rather stay somewhere else and pay a few hundred dollars more.

Location,location and location. This hotel's location can't be beat for the price that it offers. Likely the lowest price that can have for this perfect location. It is right on the Waikiki's "strip". Easy access to the beach, massive shopping and dining options. Also, it is one block from the main pickup for all lines of Waikiki Trolley. Hotel amenities and services are decent. Free daily breakfast is a plus and a rare offer for hotels in this area. Even though breakfast does not have a lot of options but it is reasonable for the price (muffins, bagel, toast, cereal, coffee, juice and different fruit selections daily). We got upgrade to the one bedroom suite which is very spacious 700 sq. Customer service is good with friendly staff. The only negative thing about this hotel is it is pretty outdated and old. However, the hotel and room are clean. Highly recommend for those who look for a great budget hotels right in the middle of all the fun of Waikiki beach.

My wonderful stay at Oasis
Nice sizable room, clean and conveniently with kitchenette. Huge balcony with lounge chairs. Comfortable and nice big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel! Different from other hotels that have only the tiny bottles of these.

Friendly hotel
The staffs are very nice, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean. We chose this hotel coz it is close to the strip so beach and shopping areas are walking distance. Only few things are the breakfast are all the same and no hot meals and we got the old building so you can tell it really need updating. We came in a large group and we used 3 rooms and they roomed us in close together so that it's easier for us to move 1 room to another if needed.

The property is well ubicated to enjoy the Waikiki area. The staff are very kind, the property is clean and cozy, but in general it needs remodulation. The breakfast is poor with to much daily carbohydrates and sugar. It will great improve its variety adding some kind of protein, such as eggs, bacon, sausage etc. or any other good authentic food.

I think for the area, this is the best possible deal. The staff was amazing, very nice. Seemed to be some street racing at night. I also would not recommend the double beds for more than one person, unless you are small individuals.

Unfortunately we had to request a room change after one night (we stayed for 6) - the room was filthy and had a foul smell.
The room we moved to was not much better.
The staff were friendly and did their best but the property is simply terribly rundown and so it is the management who need to improve. Curtains torn and stained, power plugs unsafe to use, water damage and mould around sinks.
It was pretty heart breaking to spend so much money on what should be a dream holiday only to feel like you don't want to spend any time at the hotel as it is just not pleasant.

Our stay was fantastic. The hotel is located in a great spot in Waikiki, 10min walk from Waikiki Beach and around many restaurants and shops. The service at the hotel was great too! Everyone was friendly and accommodating.

The hotel needs a lot of maintenance. We checked in and the odor if urine was prominent and evident around the toilet area. We had to have it cleaned and the shower curtain changed.

When I booked this hotel, I didn’t realize it was non refundable. So I had to go with it and keep my reservation.
The location of the hotel was great. Walking distance to all the shoppings and food within 5 mins at most. The hotel was outdated and carpets were dirty. Our bathtub had hair that wasn’t clean up properly. bar The bed in the room only provided us a very thin blanket for two people. Our room was facing the street, and there was a bar blasting music till 4am every night. Drunk people screaming on top of their lungs. We couldn’t sleep at all the 3 nights that we stayed there. At night there was music blasting and in the early morning you hear all sorts of trucks loading and unloading outside of your room balcony.
We paid $45 a night for parking. If you called ahead to the front desk for your car, they don’t even answer the phone. And when you go downstairs to get your car, the valet attendant wasn’t even around. There was one day, we had to wait for the valet attendant to get off the phone to assist us. We waited almost 5-10 mins either dropping or waiting for our car.
I knew there was a resort fee before arriving. There wasn’t much option for breakfast. They serve muffins, cereal, fruits, and bagels with butter probably from costco. The pool was small, it couldn’t only fit 4 people at most.
If you’re booking this place base on Expedia pictures. Please don’t. It’s not what’s it like and they should really update the stars on this place.

Breakfast is not really a breakfast. There was only bread and butter. A bird poop next to the bread and took a while for statf to clean up. Gave me a room, wasn’t properly clean, bedsheets had stains. A homeless guy outside my window screaming all night, he sleeps right outside the window. Awfull experience, and still charge me the resort fee. Also Expedia you should do better !

this a low-budget hotel in a great location. beds are old and over-used. drywall has holes, the vanity top has cracks and the carpet and room look dirty. free breakfast includes only two kinds of fruits and breads and coffee and juice. the pool is slightly bigger than a kiddy pool. On the other hand, the staff are very patient and kind and hard workers.

Lovely hotel
We are family of 3 and stay for 6 nights. We really enjoyed our stay there. The location is so convenient and close to bus stop and the beaches. I especially love the balcony facing the Waikiki city view and the some ocean view from a little bit distance, it was lovely sit at the balcony enjoying the city view. Staffs are very friendly too. 😊

The room was clean but small, if not somewhat dated, & the walls/glass doors didn’t keep out the noise from the street below (we were on the 7th floor) or from the hallway. I kept waking up at night to the sounds of people leaving the bar next door and to loud vehicles passing by. Also somewhat disappointed with the breakfast as it didn’t offer many options.
The front desk staff however did a stellar job accommodating our requests & were very friendly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and the pool (although a bit small) was enjoyable. It shows however that the building has aged as there are some renovations which would be beneficial (ceiling of balcony cracking, carpets are "tired". The breakfast options are limited and repeat every morning (muffins, bagels, toast). A bit of variety would be nice. But overall for the price, it is a very nice place to go to!

The bathtub was dirty and inconvenient in that you had to climb over a 12 inch divide to get into the shower. The A/C unit was directly over the bed. Continental breakfast consisted of dry cereal and toasted bread or bagels.

I asked the hotel staff twice if I could store my bags late after check out which they assured me this was fine. I stored my bags until after a late dinner and returned to collect my bags I asked permission to move a few items around between bags for my impending flight and was also directed to a spot to do so. Regardless of my efforts I was harassed by a particularly stupid and tactless security guard and when realizing his mistake offered no apologies.

Get what you pay for.
I picked Aqua because of combined factors of price, location and breakfast. The room was large. The old tub in the bathroom with the sliding doors is bad. It's about an 18" step up into the large tub with no safety bar on the outside. Very dangerous and no good for elderly or disabled. The breakfast has no protein. Lots of high carb items but it does have fresh fruit. For the price, it was okay. And if you do tours they do not pick up at this hotel. You have to walk to the closest pick up point.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful from valet, counterperson, housekeeping attendants - all were great! My only disappointment was breakfast. I wish this could’ve included eggs, sausage and/or waffles but only offerings were cold cereal, pineapple (of course, it’s Hawaii), muffins from Costco, orange juice, toast and bagels.

This is my second time stay at this same property, as usual, the staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for travelers, you don't need to drive when you stay at this hotel at all, everything is within walkable distance! I might come back here again!

The staff was really great. The hotel itself was okay, but really dated. We got a suite which had a king bed and queen sofa bed. Unfortunately, the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable.

Great location, clean room, and great staff. I would say my only suggestion is a better breakfast selection. It was good, and did the job with lots of fruit and bread/muffins/bagels, but some nice eggs, meat, or waffles would be just that little extra. Just a great stay.

The lobby and entrance are nice and quaint but the property is outdated and in need of repairs and updates. They charge for the fourth person( I’m assuming) and an expense resort fee for a pool that is just larger than a hot tub. Only enough towels in the room for three people BUT charged $100 for the extra person. Free of charge… you get to hear an after hours bar that is blaring until 4am that is across the street. I would not ever stay here again … the staff is exceptional and can’t help the condition of the hotel.
The Expedia description is very over stated.

Loud vehicles going by at night.
When dirty towels were removed the same amount were not replaced. Could use some touch up paint in the room.
The flowers and shrubs were beautiful.

They charge you a resort fee for a pool the size of a bathtub and for free breakfast that consists of bananas, cereal and toast for $40. The rooms are not that clean either.

The reason for my lower rating is primarily the result of an undisclosed fee that was charged upon arrival by Aqua Oasis before they would release our room. When I contacted Expedia who the reservation was made through, Expedia explained that they had presented all costs that Aqua Oasis had identified to them and I shouldn’t have been charged any additional costs.

Just an FYI to folks looking to book a stay here: the “breakfast” is literally bagels and fruit (no bacon or eggs or anything). Valet is $45 a night. We found cheaper parking behind the hotel in a parking lot for $20 over night or $39 for 24 hrs. They’ll tell you there aren’t any other parking options but there are. Our room keys kept failing to work. There’s a $77 hotel fee when you get there (if you were unsure about the price). The photos definitively don’t look like the ones online. The staff were very friendly though

The staff are very kind and very helpful. The hotel is very beautiful with all the plants in and around it. They lock the gate every night to keep everyone in hotel safe, but you can easily access it at anytime with your room key card. They serve bagels, cereal and fruit and coffee for breakfast each morning. The beds were comfy and the room was nice. Thank you everyone!

Great location but not for allergy sufferers
The room was clean enough. However, it's age and prior heavy usage were apparent. I have allergies to dust mites and molds and I had a strong adverse reaction during my 3 night stay. I didn't bother complaining because I assumed that the rest of the rooms would be in similar conditions.

Hotel is walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The outside noise was horrible on the weekend and when the bar closed at 2am you can be sure to be woken up by motorcycles revving their engines and people yelling loudly like they are trying to get a def persons attention. The hotel did offer breakfast but it was the same every day and limited to 2 types of muffins (chocolate and blueberry), toast, bagels, 4 cold cereals, and 2 fruits (green grapes and pineapple) and 2 juices (apple and pineapple). The birds in the open eating area didnt bother me, but some were definitly grossed out by them being near the food. As far as the room goes the bed and bathroom were clean upon arrival, but the room needed other areas cleaned liked the closet doors that had a layer of dirt and drapes that had a weird stain on them. The bed linens were not changed while I was there for a week, but the bed was made every day. Housekeeping didnt come by until 4pm every day until check out day when they arrived before checkout time. My flights were changed so I requested to stay an extra hour and housekeeping came by 3 times even though I let them know when I would be leaving. They give you "beach" towels but they are just bath towels. There is cold ice water in the lobby. If you need ice you have to get it from the front desk. The pool is small. The beach is nowhere in site of the hotel; just buildings. If I were to go back to Oahu, I would pick a hotel closer to the beach and not shopping.

Nice, central location..friendly, helpful staff…older facility that could use an update but adequate for a short stay.The little koi pond area is pleasant even though it is the smoking area..pool area clean and decent..breakfast could have more options but it gets the day started..stayed for 4 days pre cruise and would stay again..room prices not bad and resort prices much lower than other hotels, and they have a holding area for luggage

This hotel is great for the price. It’s very central to everything in Waikiki. Staff are great. If you are a smoker, it’s the only hotel with a smoking area and it looks really nice in there. Very basic hotel but for the price you won’t be disappointed. Not really any food options on site. The breakfast is as basic as it comes but again, it’s included so can’t complain. Very safe.
