Austin was great! He was very friendly. The breakfast ladies were wonderful. The elderly lady was very kind and friendly! She is knowledgeable about Chicago and the building.
We hope though that the heater in room wasn’t noisy. Otherwise, the place is very convenient to where we needed to go. Thank you!

Nice hotel for a quick trip
This hotel was great for a quick trip to chicago!! The beds were super comfy, the pillows could have been better though. The room was decent sized and had a bunch of windows with a pretty view. I do think their breakfast was good, but one of the worst selections I have personally seen at a hotel. Their was only two main options, waffle and sausage. I would have liked maybe eggs as a substitute or something more than that? Overall great experience though.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is delicious as promised. We never felt unsafe in the area and were only a ten minute walk or less to any of the public transportation needed. They are close to the fire station so the only downside was the added noise at night but that isn’t something they can help and we weren’t too bothered.

The elevator wasnt working and it was the hugest inconvenience. I stay here every weekened for the past 3 weekends and i would think i would get a refund for my stay due to a inconvenience. I would like to get that resolution

The hotel itself and the staff get a higher rating but the ouside noise kept us up two nights in a row. The hotel location is across the street from a large fire station whose sirens went off almost every hour throughout the night.That along with all the screaming and yelling outside was very disruptive. Would not stay again for this reason

Great location, wonderful staff. Every employee I interacted with was super friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was really good and there was plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy it. Easy check in and check out. Valet parking is only a little more expensive than self-parking, and self parking is 2 blocks away.

Great location downtown. Very nice room with comfortable beds. Breakfast was just okay. Available paid parking is two blocks away for self park or for $10 more each night you can use valet. Valet service was quick and very simple to use. All of the staff were excellent to deal with and very kind. Would stay again.

Very nice place! Facilities were grate, awesome location. Excellent service, specially on breakfast with Phany (excuse me if I spell it wrong 😔) and Javier, they were just sooo nice!!!
Only cons is the fire dept in front of the hotel and the sirens sounds all night. Other than that, I would definately recommend.

From the moment we entered the front doors, there was a fresh smell of cleanliness:). The counter service employees were friendly and both ha big sincere smiles.

Check in was super easy and fast. Javier and Fannie were very friendly and attentive at breakfast. Easy walk to Michigan Ave and Riverwalk. Very walkable, but farther to Navy Pier and Millennium Park. Love this location.

Great for long weekend
Lovely, clean, and centrally located hotel with attentive staff and well stocked continental breakfast. Location is by the fire dept, but still fairly quiet at night. Only con was the room AC, ehich had a hard time finding a good balance to maintain the temp (blew hot or cold, no middle ground!).

This Fairfield, inns and suites was a great place to stay in downtown Chicago, the location fabulous for walking around shopping or going to restaurants or just sightseeing. The staff were all amazing – everyone of them especially wonderful where the people that ran the breakfast every morning – – they get a big shout out.
My only tiny silly complaint is the lighting in the bathroom was rather dim — probably my old eyes, but it was difficult for me to see to put on make up and fix hair in the morning.

We had a great stay. The Hotel was quiet, clean maybe even newly remodeled. It was very nice. The breakfast staff was exceptional. Very friendly and made sure all food items were kept stocked.
My only complaint was the water pressure and the temperature of the water in the shower. It took about 3 minutes to get warm and then it kept getting warm and then cold.
This was on the 14th floor so maybe that had something to do with it.

The room was great! But it would of been nice to know at check-in that I was going to have a $150 hold put on my card for incidentals. I knew there would be a hold, but I wasn't expecting that much nor the fact that it takes 3-4 business days to get it removed. I'm used to same business day or the day after.

Great Chicago choice, perfect for the marathon!
Overall the stay was great. The hotel is in a great location, super walkable to many attractions. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. There is just a bit of noice to deal with but that's pretty standard for any city hotel. There were great blackout shades to keep it dark which we appreciated. We stayed for the Chicago marathon and there were many other runners at the hotel too.

We stayed here with my husband over our Chicago weekend! It was absolutely great. The staff is very nice and welcoming, I think they deserve a raise, haha. The morning breakfast time is good for sleepers as we are, so we felt very comfortable, no rushing or unnecessary early wake-ups. Also the location is great, just in the middle of downtown Chicago and you can easily access it within public transportation, or walking, because walking is a MUST in such beautiful city as Chicago. We also got beautiful views on the city, and took cute pictures together.
Definitely recommend to stay here.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Room were clean and had A LOT of space, including a mini fridge. Arrived late at night and the staff were quickly to complete the process so I could rest. Breakfast options were AMAZING - offered both hot and cold options (belgian waffles were SO GOOD!!!!). Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Chicago.

The best hospitality staff!
The River North Fairfield Inn & Suites offered a great Chicago stay. The room I had was large and clean with comfortable beds. I had housekeeping exactly as requested as well. What is really leading me to this review is the staff at this hotel. Every single employee interaction I had was so refreshing—everyone was friendly and helpful. The true stars here are the staff of the breakfast. They are SO attentive, friendly and engaging. By my 3rd breakfast we were talking like old friends. Please give these staff members extra kudos, they are amazing at their jobs!

We really enjoyed our stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites, from our very easy early check-in to the clean room. We stayed four days. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was ok - liked the crustless quiche, and there were lots of bread options, but we only chose to eat there once. When we called for additional supplies at the tail end of our stay, it took over an hour to arrive. That was the only disappointing thing. And it would not deter us from staying again. The bed was pretty comfortable; the furniture worked well for two people (e.g. enough drawers, closet space, and charging stands, etc.); and the t.v. selection was ample. The best was the location - walking distance to so much! Restaurants, music, comedy, shopping, the river. It was a great place to stay.

The area and rooms are very noisy. The fire station is across the street from the hotel. The building is old, and carpets are old and dirty. The breakfast is a mess, crowded, hard to get a table and lowest quality possible. I don't recommend.

Unfortunately my room was located right by the fire station so I was woken up by sirens frequently. Location is terrible and if had known the fire station was literally right across the street I would have booked somewhere else.

Great place, great people, great location.
It was a great stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and changed slightly day to day. Kitchen staff was the best I have ever experienced in my travels. Despite the amount of people trying to grab a breakfast, staff was doing an awesome job keeping up and making sure there was no shortage of anything.
We also had a small incident related to guests in the room next to ours, and this was handled in professional manner and to our satisfaction. Thank you Jose.
We will most likely stay again at this hotel the next time we are in Chicago.

Great Place to Stay/Convenient For City Exploring
This hotel was convenient, clean and the personnel were very helpful. The hotel is close to MIchigan Avenue, Navy Pier, and about a block from the EL (red line) for transportation to Wrigley and the Loop. The breakfast was a full breakfast with all options available. We had a room for 5 people with two double beds and a pull out couch. Worked well.

We loved this hotel. The beds were super comfortable, and the curtains allowed the room to be dark in the morning so we could sleep in. Some previous reviewers complained about sirens from the fire station that is right by the hotel, but they were not loud at all and did not bother us. All the staff were friendly including the security guards. The room was clean and spacious. They had a nice gym as well.

The staff here is exceptional!!! With the location being downtown and across from a fire station, it was really loud with siren trucks at least five times within two hours.
