Decent basic hotel
Overall, the hotel is fine for a short stay and the staff was pleasant. It is a basic hotel. It does not have an elevator so anyone with mobility issues needs a first-floor room.
The outside parking lot was not kept up well. It was a bit dark and there were fast food bags left around by other patrons.
It was also pretty obvious that people were smoking in their rooms as it permeated the hallways.

Black mold in bathroom
When I arrived I was put into a room that had stains all over the sheets. Looked as if someone had peed the bed. I asked for a different room and was granted one. After checking the sheets I agreed to stay in that room. When I went to go to bed I noticed the latch had been broken off the door. I was not able to sleep well that night. Since I did not have the money to get a different room at a different location I had to suck it up. Well come morning in the shower I noticed black mold all over the ceiling. Was told they would not have another room available. Overall a terrible experience.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful 2 night stay. This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at this hotel. Each time our room has been very clean and comfortable. Front desk workers are always quick with check in and helpful if we need anything during our stay.

No elevator to 2nd floor. Tv had minimums channels and no guide. Shower curtain did not close. Ceiling damage in the shower

Walked into hotel and it smelled like weed. Also smelled smokey and moldy in the room. No elevator or assistance getting up stairs with luggage. Only wires hanging out from where smoke detector should have been. Bath had a constant stream of water. Unable to turn off. Chips in bathtub and on drywall above the shower. Terrible coffee in room. Broken ironing board.
The bed was comfortable enough though.
Overall, We would rate it 1/2 of a star

Sheets were stained & had cigarette burns on them. When we arrived the staff was not helpful & slightly rude. People on staff the next day were nice.

I stayed for 3 days total and there was cockroaches everywhere in my room. Front desk was always empty, people outside fighting and screaming in the middle of the night, I went to use the coffee maker and it was dirty, breakfast was disappointing with very limited options, we never had any of maids come and bring us fresh towels or anything, we weren’t provided with shampoo or conditioner. Overall it was just a bad experience and I couldn’t wait to leave, consider a motel because it’s cheaper and probably cleaner.

decent access! the staff was great! Alot of local rif raf and homeless outside all hours of the night but never had any issues with any of them. The hotel owner helps them out, which is cool I guess.

The check in & out clerks were real nice. The room itself was not very clean at all. A couple of our pillows had some black mold on them. The bathroom hadnt been swept or mopped in along time.

No smoke detector in our rooms, doors look like they had been jimmed/ broken into, bath tub had seeler to patch cracks, smelled bad- someone was smoking, door handles not working correctly. Hotels.com isnt letting upload photos

Excellent hotel stay!!!
Front desk staff was wonderful. He even upgraded our room at check in because we were return customers. The breakfast isn’t anything special but the restaurant Louie’s is in walking distance which has amazing breakfast!!! Our room and bathroom was very clean. We did notice our comforter had burn holes in it. I’m sure they would have given us a new one but we just moved that part to the bottom of the bed. The bed is super comfy and wonderful pillows!!! Overall an excellent choice. Pictures on website look exactly like room you will be in.

Would not recommend.
Hallway smelled strongly like marijuana. I could smell it in the room all night. People were talking in the hall throughout the night. I was suspicious of activity going on there. This was not a cheap motel, either.

Didn’t like anything about this place. Dirty towels shower needed the strength of 10 men to turn on and it dripped constantly. People in the parking lot smoking weed all day. Naked kid running in the hall with no parent pesent Didn’t feel Ike a safe place to be. The guy who checked me in was friendly.

the only thing nice was the lady at check in, the sidewalk was under construction so we could not use the main entrance, the room was dirty, remote for tv was broke, Laminate on the desk was peeling off, and we are not sure what was all over the walls it was super dirty around the toilet, bad overall. would not recommend or ever use agian

We only stayed one night and it was just to sleep after a wedding but overall it was a good experience. The staff was wonderful! They were very accommodating with a late check in. They were very attentive the following morning when we were leaving. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable.

Nice people.
The gentleman at the front desk were warm and very helpful. Continental breakfast was good. Room was average and bathroom floor needed a good cleaning but the bed and rear of the room was nice.

This place was TERRIBLE. It is not at all worth the money. As soon as you walk into the hotel you are hit with an awful smell. The carpet in the hotel definitely isn't cleaned properly. Then we were given a room with various stains on the walls. The smell from the lobby was even more present in the room. We were given another room that was not up to par. The bed had a big pee stain on the actual mattress. Thankfully we were refunded the next day after an extremely sketchy conversation with the front desk/manager.

This is definitely a property that needs to be shut down effective immediately; the health department should be there to inspect asap. I had a terrible experience with this property, with a roach infested room(room#105). It really bothered me that I had to witness my 8-year old daughter freaking out because she seen multiple roaches crawling from the sink hole, off near the side but top of the sink. Then what really bothered me was when asking for a full refund I was denied because they stated I did not take house keeping the day before and that I did not ask for bug spray also because I had food in the room; as front desk quoted as well “the food smell attracts bugs”. In which I was only at the property for 2-days, this isn’t a hotel this is a hole in the ground. They make enough with the rates they charge to get the place fumigated but in stead they’ll rather inconvenience the customers by taking short cuts. FYI I have pics and video of the roaches coming from the sink and the reaction of the front desk.

Work out the kinks
The stay was better than expected. I did experience a few issues. The front desk person was being trained by a woman who talked loudly. It was hard to hear the person checking me in over her talking to another guest. I was happy when she finally walked away. My room needed more cleaning, I found popcorn behind the mattress along with dust. The bathroom light was so dim, made the bathroom feel dark. Weed smoke in hallway, in a smoke free hotel. Other than that was stay was better than I expected.

Ok for a night
The lady at check-in took a call rather than place them on hold to finish with us and give us keys. It is nothing special. Bed was comfy. There was hallway noise for awhile but it quieted down after 15 minutes. Breakfast was typical. For an overnight stay it was adequate. It was clean and felt safe.

It's a hotel that needs TLC. The lobby is not inviting, it's very dull and there were no lights on in the breakfast area so that you could see to get coffee which is offered 24/7.
Breakfast did not look appetizing. No juice, 1 apple that had a worm hole and looked like it had been there for days. There was no other fruit offered except this 1 apple. Waffle mix was all over the place. Nothing looked good i.e., bread, cereal, muffins, etc.

First night of my stay, room next to me yelling and fighting. Called front desk and staff seemed confused as to what to do. Took another neighboring room to pound in their door to shut them up. Whole building reeked of stale marijuana smoke.

Huge security issues
A friend and I checked in around midnight after going to a show in town. We did not open the windows because it was late and when we woke up in the morning and opened the curtains, we found that the screen had been tampered with and bent and the window itself wasn’t even locked.
There was also a grasshopper in the room.

Horrible. Do not stay here. Room smelled so bad we left in the middle of the night, couldn't take it. Room was filthy, shower and fixtures were old and rusty, and the sheets were stained in multiple places. Nothing like advertised.

Not fancy but good rooms.
Room was recently refurbished. Nicely appointed. I'm 6' tall and liked the shower being above my head. Room AC worked well but remained humid. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Good location for my work.

Nice employees but FILTHY- would NOT recommend
The check-in process was good and the service was great. However, the hotel was muggy and smelled of a stale odor. The smell carried on into our room where it smelled like stale cigarettes. The air was not going on a 100 degree day and the humidity had the beds damp. There was probably one surface that didn’t have a stain on it and that was the ironing board. We requested new sheets as they were stained, there was what appeared to be blood on the curtain, stains on walls, stains on both chairs and both lampshades, floored were not vacuumed, stains on bathroom shower curtain among many other places. When I’m mentioning stains these are very apparent, dirty stains. I felt dirty my entire stay including when I showered. The lock on the door did not lock, so safety and privacy must not be a priority. I have never been more disappointed in a hotel stay. There are so many better options in the area for $140 a night. Steer clear of this place!

Not the best but not the worst...everything smelled like cigarette smoke though and the bottle of lotion was half used. Towels didn’t feel clean and comforter had to be replaced because there was a blood stain on it. only thibg that made it comfortable was the front desk guy - very attentive and friendly

We were traveling from the East Coast to Colorado for my son's wedding and decided to look for lodging in Joliet as we arrived later in the evening and wanted to visit the old prison. As always, I chose this property based upon reviews submitted to Expedia and found the property to be fine. We had adequate parking and took advantage of the light breakfast items available. Parking was quite accessible and the property was in a quiet area. The rooms were fine and we had no issues whatsoever. They were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone who is traveling any area. I would also recommend taking a moment to visit the old Joliet prison, which was used in the movie Blues Brothers.

The place was not a nice and clean as is portrayed on the website. The hallway upstairs smelled like a skunk, this of course had made it into my room by the morning. This is also supposed to be a 100% smoke free business. I smelled cigarette smoke all over the place. Overall...not impressed.

Close to Autobahn
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel before, so decided to come back while he was participating in a motorcycle track weekend at Autobahn again. The service here was GREAT! Front desk was very friendly, and the girl helping us with breakfast was amazing. However, it was very noisy at night, with people shouting to call the police one night, and just partying noise the next. While that is not the hotel's fault, it did detract from our enjoyment of our stay.

Don’t stay here
This hotel is dirty and not well taken care of. I tried my best to find somewhere else to stay before the night was even over. We had to have our sheets changed and it took them 4 tries before they found some that weren’t dirty. They clearly didn’t clean the bathroom or counter area at all. All of the towels were dirty. The front desk staff said there was nothing they could do about any sort of refund even after seeing the gross pictures we took of the room. I would add the pictures but they are on my boyfriends phone, but trust me they aren’t good.

Check in was great, but room wise the sheets were dirty, the curtains had food and stains on them, the towels were dirty. The hotel doesn’t have a elevator. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again

TERRIBLE
We sat in our hotel room for an hour before deciding to leave. Hotel smelled musty and our room was very dirty. The connecting door in our room would not lock, our window was broken and would not lock and you could hear clear as day people talking in the room next to us. I would 100% not recommend staying here. Our friends room looked and smelled the exact same
