Good location.
We really liked the location. It’s South Beach for just far enough away from the craziness of Ocean Blvd. The room was nice and clean. It was nice having a parking garage just a block away. We liked walking to dinner at Ola just across the bridge.

Wlecome to Angie's world where dream are made of.
Our trip began with a phone call to verify our reservation. The young lady who answered the phone was very informative and to top it all extremely pleasant. Angie should bottled her skills and teach other front desk reservation personnel how handling a reservation and guest. Three cheers for Angie.

I don’t like to complain but there were enough wrong things that I needed to review this to help others. Location is cool and fantastic. Room was missing kitchen items…ie only a wine glass for a cup. I think there might be a mold problem in our room. I mentioned it at checkout. Both my husband and I woke up with allergy like problems which I normally never have. Finally unloading and parking was the worst. There is no parking at the place…must park on the street (no spots available) or around the corner paid parking in a garage. That is not clear, at all, in the description.

Overall the property is worn out ! Not well maintained. Broken tiles , homeless people living around within the property and not such great quality of interiors within the room. Due to the plantations there are also many insects !

This place should not be able to call itself a hotel, it is not. There were no mirrors, alarm clocks or toilet paper in our 1 bdrm. There was no coffee/sugar/creamer anywhere on site. My mother was disabled and no one here could help her up or down 2 flights of stairs with her luggage or groceries. The kitchen had no towels, sponge, dish rack/dish washer or paper towels so there was no way to wash or dry dishes. No bags in any garbage cans which were gross inside, no ice buckets or bags to put ice in. The TVs were old with 15 working channels that were just awful with ancient plugs so a Roku or fire stick isn’t an option. Pool was crowded and filled with kids so adult guests couldn’t sit or lay anywhere. The bathtub was rusted and gross, the vanity was broken and the frame around the bathroom door didn’t fit. The wall unit ac’s were so dirty and moldy we all left with sore throats. The parking is a really big problem, especially getting groceries to your place because you have to carry stuff blocks away which is a problem for a disabled person. This place is the absolute bare minimum, do not expect friendliness or any kind of customer service or ammenities like a usb charging station. Never, ever again - stay somewhere with parking that is an actual hotel where they clean your room and stuff.

Some things are showing wear. Microwave did not work and oven wasn't functioning properly either.
Also, the mattress is very hard and my back was killing me by the second night.
They don't have luggage storage, so very inconvenient if you arrive early or have lots of time before your flight on check-out.

We were a family of 4 adults and . It was so great to be walking distance to the beach. A few amenities were missing. A broom would have been nice!!! We would stay here again.

Property apartment was fine. Nothing special at all. There is no room service at all, if we needed anything we had to walk to the main building reception ourselves which was 3 buildings away, even late at night. No extra bedding was provided for the additional paid guest. Even to get any blanket at all we had to go to reception ourselves and they had no bedding for the sofa bed, just gave an extra blanket.
They don’t come for cleaning the room everyday - they said they do housekeeping only once in 3 days which is absurd. There were only 3 towels for 3 people and the next day we had to call reception 4 times before someone came to drop 3 more towels.
Property is not far from the beach so that’s a plus point and there was a parking lot behind the building with 35 $ per day parking so that was a plus point.
But the overall experience was not very good.

Pros:
1. Good for 2 adults and 2 kids.
2. Kitchen items (though we've not used it).
3. Walkable distance to Beach (7 mins) & Bus Station (4 mins).
4. Complimentary Beach towel.
Cons:
1. No paper towel/facial tissue.
2. Horrible House Keeping (though they promised to do HK every 3 days, but only after multiple follow-ups, they did it. But not vacuumed the rooms).
3. No trash bin/cover inside room.
4. No towel/garbage clean (though they promised to do it every day).
5. Cockroaches almost every place.
6. AC sounds terrible.
7. Not ready to check-in early i.e. 10-15 mins before check-in time (3PM) and front-desk signed out exactly by 3PM without check-in as her shift time ends. No Courtesy for travelers like me from other states.
Overall I can give 4/10.

Other reviews said parking was an issue, if you park at the Collins Ave garage, it is not stressful at all! $20 a day, safe, less than a 2 minute walk to the hotel. The grounds are nice, the room is slightly outdated but works perfectly for a place to stay. I read a bunch of reviews that cockroaches were present, there were none whatsoever for our entire week stay, would recommend to people looking for an affordable, private stay in Miami!

I had a late check in. The hotel was informed. Upon arrival the system was done. So they were unable to check me, along with 3 other people in. The attendant said the system was down for a while, she was calling people and no one was getting back to her. She was a trooper, she was handling the desk alone, no system and on top of that, there seemed to be a young lady, with 2 other guys who were high! This too the young attendant handled like a pro! I felt so bad for her, as she was there alone. I urged to be careful and even offered to handle the situation for her, but she politely declined. Please give this young lady a raise! My son found a roach in his room one night. There were no garbage bags in the trash cans, so I had to g to the front desk to get, but was told they only had large bags. On the day of check out. There was a leak right in front of the TV. I put a pot to catch the water and called the front desk. They said they were going to send someone, but never did! The leak stopped, so I guess they must have shut off whatever needed to be shut off. I did tell them the leak wet the TV, and may have caused damage. I took pictures....just in case.

No concern for guest comfort
No concern for guest satisfaction so long as they have your money. Routinely perform loud maintenance in and around guest rooms during early morning hours and other times with no concern or accommodations for guest comfort. Many rooms lack consistent working Wi-Fi. Watch out for added “hotel imposed fees.”

Unpleasant front desk and customer service. Beat up room. The hotel charged a resort fee at the last minute by knowing it is not a resort. They provide absolutely no service, no cleaning and no amenities nothing. Upon booking on Expedia, they say you pay in full with all the fees included but no they add another high fee on site so don’t be fooled. Additionally, the room was not clean we found a lot of hair all over the place and floors, dishes were beyond dirty. If you don’t clean by yourself they charge you a cleaning fine for the room at the end of 8-day stay with no Housekeeping, seriously? Wth! We had asked for 30 minutes late check out for my 90-year old elderly mother and they say NO by knowing the hotel was not full. We strongly do not recommend this place. What a disappointment and ripoff.

This apartment hotel was beautiful and spacious. I didn't expect it to look as good as it looked, I saw so many iguanas on the property alone and the pool was beautiful. Definitely booking again!!

The Property was good at first until I found my first Cockroach. We removed it from the room. The next day I fought off 3 more. It was hard to sleep those nights. I told the front desk the following day and they were accommodating. They gave us a new room instantly by the pool. It was better quality and there were no cockroaches. The stay was much better after that.

Good location, close to the beach, restaurants. A very good buffet at the RIU hotel is a 15 minute walk away. But customer communication is poor. Cleaning should be every three days, but unfortunately we did not. I liked that it was a one-room apartment with a kitchen and a large refrigerator, stove, microwave. You could go to WALMART by taxi and buy groceries for the duration of your stay. Nearby there are places to take excursions. The beach is very large and nice, clean. There are bike rentals nearby. It would be nice to have a broom in the rooms.

Booked this for family trip with mom. Mom is handicap. They placed me on 2nd floor. We booked for 5 days stayed for 0 days because they could not accommodate her and was charged in full. They do not have a department you can call and dispute. They are unresponsive and lied about accommodations. This hotel kept 1200 with 0 days stayed. Would never ever recommend. It's a hotel for foreign college students. They accommodate the students near pool. Everyone else has to walk around swamp area of building.

It’s a nice place and I enjoyed staying there. They are extremely limited on the basics you would find at other hotels though. No vending. A bar is available at another location. There are 2 clubs behind the property so if you’re staying over the weekend you’re most likely going to here the music throughout the night if located in the pool area. Since parking is limited and pricy it was difficult to find food other than a high end restaurant around the corner. Over all nice place but inconvenient for the price.

Jessie at the front desk was courteous and helpful. It was nice to have plenty of space in our apartment room to spread out and "live" in Miami for a few days. The pool was great and very kid-friendly and all guests were kind and accomodating to children splashing and playing together in the water. Switching out pool towels at the front desk was easy and neither the pool nor the grounds were ever crowded or deserted, for that matter.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.
Since this should be an honest review, I will add that the futon in our room was in bad shape and the mattress wouldn't lie flat.
The double bed, however, was very comfortable and clean and we slept soundly every night.

The suite I had was nice. The tub dripped, but other than that everything was in working order. The building is a bit old but kept up well. The communication about the fee per night is not clearly stated prior to the reservation. I only found out by a yelp review. People very nice. I would go back.

All of the office staff was great! We had a few issues with the first room but the staff worked hard to accommodate. Also the security guard was awesome. Overall the location was perfectly close to everything, South Beach, Collins and Ocean Dr. all about a 15 -20 minute walk. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the apartments. Lots of bugs and building doors stay open to let the tropical friends in. This was my first Miami trip and other than the above issues I had a great time. Unsure of a future stay here though.

The overnight staff is horrible. There is no way to contact the property past the hours of operation and no option to cancel your stay in the event of an emergency. You are forced to pay the full cost of the stay regardless. There was no manager on site to help us modify our stay and we were forced to sit and wait 7 hours overnight for a manager to arrive and adjust our stay and kept being told that “the system” does not allow them to make any changes. We were told we would have to email a third party agent and wait for a response back within 24 hours. Our flight was cancelled causing delays and we were forced to fly into another city and travel to the hotel from Fort Lauderdale. We tried contacting the property to make adjustments and could not reach anyone at the hotel. The area is also surrounded by insects and the pool is filthy. Overall horrible experience.

Unlike : Very bad communication with staff, manager didn’t even pay attention to us complaining about cleaning service not showing up for 3-4 days . On top of this our carrying on luggage was lost (stolen or taking away ) we asked for a camera in front of the room to be visioned , the manager AGAIN didn’t even pay attention. AC in the room or rooms need pay were very noisy. Very disappointed about this hotel although , definitely not worth the amount we paid for, I do not recommend it and will not stay there again.

Staff was friendly, but parking situation was horrible. Only 10 spots. The rest is pay by meter. If your time runs out by an hour, you get towed. I got towed. Flat rate tow $260. Ridiculous.

BREATH OF FRESH AIR WITH SOME ISSUES
I was in a hurry to find a hotel in Miami and ran across the Tradewinds. I was not expecting a lot from a hundred-dollar-a-night place and was pleasantly surprised. The location was right near the beach and afforded little or no parking. I did not have a car so that was not really an issue unless coming and going. The unit was tired and in need of an update but certainly worked. Full kitchen with full-sized appliances and some utensils and amenities. The bathroom worked...kind of...the shower was a joke. The water pressure was so low you could barely rinse off. The basin faucet was loose but functioned. The towels and toiletries were extremely nice. The outside courtyard was also extremely nice and inviting and I spent time outside. The staff was exceptional and responsive...shout out to Angie and Christopher...keep up the great work you do. The best thing was the exceptional value...the worst was the shower. I come to Miami a lot and would certainly stay there again. I rated the hotel so high because of the great value and great people! Thanks for the lovely stay!

The rooms are very large and comfortable. Plenty of living and sleeping and storage space. A short walk to the beach and board walk. Plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The recommended car park aways had spaces and occasionally the out front free parking was available. A no frills accommodation that was really good.

Pros: The hotel complex is within walking distance to the beach which was very convenient, along with a nearby Walgreens, gas station, and liquor store which were walking distance as well. It’s also not far from a lot of restaurants in the Miami city area/ Ocean
Drive. Front desk staff were nice as well.
Cons: The place itself was not as adequate. The air vent and cabinet below the sink kept leaking with puddles of water which I kept having to clean. There was also a dead cockroach in one of the drawers, and during my last night there I found these worm-like bugs on the bed that came out of no where, so I had to sleep uncomfortably on the couch because of that. I was very disgusted by this inconvenience.
Overall, if cleanliness and proper operations are important to you, I dont recommend this place. There’s a lot of hotels in the South Beach area to choose from which you may find to be way better. If you don’t mind certain inconveniences when it comes to cleanliness and things working properly, and you only care about being close to the beach then this might be the place for you.

This is a great place to stay! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Staff was super welcoming and informative. It’s more of an apartment style than a hotel. Loved the style and decor of the rooms. Everything was clean, the furniture was comfy & cozy. They have a beautiful garden area you can sit and relax. The pool was nice and had comfy lounge chairs. You even get access to Hotel Catalina rooftop pool and a free happy hour. Will definitely stay here next time I am in South Beach. It‘s not on the beach but in walking distance. I liked that it was 10 min walk away from all the craziness of South Beach. It’s much quieter when trying to sleep at night.

Such a great property to stay. It’s a while apartment with large kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. We loved staying there as we were able to have privacy while we were sleeping. If someone was awake and someone was sleeping, we could hang out in the spacious living room.

I did not like how we received upon arrival by staff. They did not make us feel very welcome for the fact that one of the first things that was communicated to us was that if we don’t do dishes, we will be charged $250 additional fee and for us to take out our garbage as well as no smoking on the property which is totally understandable but they also mentioned no smoking anywhere near the property not even outside in front or I would get a fine for that as well. All we were told was about all the additional charges we would have to be responsible for if rules were not followed. I also asked the front desk for any information on menus or ordering Chinese food and they all said they did t have a clue. I also asked for additional pillows and it was like pulling teeth. Overall the place was clean and beautiful and the cleaning and gardeners maintenance staff were all great but front desk administrators were not.

Really good locations, on 23rd and Colins, about 7 minute walk to the beach. Wallgreens is a few minutes away which is super convenient. The property conditions are fair, the biggest issue for us was loud A/C which we run overnight, and we've visited at the end of February.
Kind of run down furniture, but overall clean, with plenty of room (we had 1 bedroom unit), a good kitchen if you need to cook and full-size fridge.
Stuff is quite friendly and responsive.
Dont' expect anything high end, but fine for budget familyi travel if you want to be able to cook your own meals and save some $$

The most horrible experience I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. I couldn’t use the pool because it was in construction during my stay. The noise while they were fixing it started every morning until late afternoon. I talk to a manager for at least a night or two discount for the situation and they simply said NO, nothing they could do. They have never said pool area was gonna be in construction before I booked. Also my room faced a car workshop with non stop noise since very early morning. My relax vacation and quiet place to study with my computer became a nightmare. Also staff talking very loud and yelling at my window several times. If u go early you can’t leave your luggage at front desk. The worse customer service I’ve ever experienced!!! I was very very upset !! Never again !!
