The property was average and aged. Elevator made loud noises. Room was vlead but dated. Room smelled like a dog was in the room, but opened the window and ran the AC and the stench was minimized. Not worth $112 a night, plus there was no breakfast available

Didn’t like anything. The toilet kept running, smoke detected had been taken off wall, dirty, never got washcloths or some towels, door lock was broken, hallways smelled terrible, three lightbulbs were burned out, noisy. You could hear a baby crying and a dog barking.

Don't stay here
Unsafe, dirty, smell of weed, strange people knocking on outside of 1st floor windows, dealing in parking lot doors wouldn't open with key card's, holes in the ceiling and sink falling off wall..couldn't sleep here afraid so we left and found other accommodations should be refunded our money

Great hotel with kind, helpful & respectful staff

Needed cleaning help, no room service for 3 days, staff was unprofessional, they parked in handicap spots to clean and polish their car. With electric cords running out the front door, side/back doors were unsecured. Advertised pool but had done functional. Breakfast wad a joke. Definitely did meet our expectations of a Wydham property.

As we pulled in the parking lot to see a car broke down and a guy sanding the fender, this should have been the first clue. Go to check in. The lady finally got our keys. Went to the room. They didn’t work. This was repeatedly even the guy sanding his car came to try it. Finally after about 20 or more tries it works and he says there ya go. The room was nasty. Had a beer can still in the bathroom. Sheets felt nasty. The security lock on the door had been brok off then screwed in again but was so loose I could have pulled it off. The key continuously took multiple times each time to get in the door. The water out of the faucet tasted terrible brushing your teeth. “Breakfast” was little Debbie muffins out a bag. But actually the best part of the stay. The elevator jerked like it was going to fall to the bottom so we used the stairs that were sketch. Pool out of order. Highly do not recommend!!!

As soon as I parked all I could see and smell was people smoking marijuana. The front desk lady clearly use drugs but very professional. I was a little worried that she had my bank information. Her coworker was arguing loudly over the phone with what I guess is his wife. My room was on the second floor. The elevator ride felt like a terror ride from busch gardens howl-o-scream. The room lock had a gap that anyone could look inside the room. The carpet haven’t been vacuum in days. The bathroom was very clean which was a plus. Didn’t sleep because I could hear every noise which was very loud. The hotel was very closed to all attractions which was very nice. I won’t stay at this hotel again.

As soon as we walk into our room there is dirt behind the door, we leave go to the park and when we get back and when we are ready to shower there is a dirty sock on top of the shelf and someone’s used soap bar in the shower. Then I go to look around more and find someone’s necklace and assuming condom wrapper in drawer!! Tell front desk, she goes up FINDS HER OWN FINGER NAIL FROM DAYS AGO!!!!! Then they move us to another room we settle in (why am I still here?, it’s 10pm and my children are tired) I pull back the cover and someone else’s hair tie is in the bed!!! At this point we ask for manager and a refund, GM could care less just told us to contact Expedia and they would give us a refund. ended up booking at choice hotel down the road where it was clean and we were safe. Do yourselves a favor and spend the extra money and go somewhere nice where it will be CLEAN and you know you will be safe.

Our family will never stay at this hotel again even if just for one night. The first room they gave us was clearly occupied. The next room had already had several complaints. The third room was acceptible to sleep in due to the time of night of our arrival however there were bugs on the floor and in the corners, the bathroom door had holes in it, the room door knob was loose, the drawers were all messed up without handles, and the TV didn't work. The only good thing was the microwave. The breakfast butter was a tub that you would use for a single family and not very mindful of keeping things separate and safe. The front desk guy was nice but that could not make up for the conditions of the hotel.

Don't stay here
It was the worst hotel ever! Definitely over priced! Nobody knows what's going on. The workers are in their pajamas. The room was dirty, it had a moldy smell, no trash can, I didn't get all my blankets. I was over charged, I'm still working on getting my refund.

We were greeted with no one at the front desk, after 10 minutes of waiting staff met us. Issued our key and went to the room where is was still occupied by someone else. Given another room where the door was open. Bathroom had pubic hair in the shower no towels and sink still had used soap bars and opened items. The door didn’t close until you lifted the door up to allow hing to level the door and be pushed in to manually close it. The adjoining door did not secure tightly. The smell of strong odor of marijuana was present on our floor. Overall stay was uncomfortable and uneasy. Hallway was not vacuumed and dining area had opened and used augar packets and creamers.

Maybe give this one a pass. . . .
The people that worked at the hotel were great! Check in was nice and I did have to call down that night for a problem in the room and the response was prompt and the employee was super polite. However.....the problem was that there were no towels in the room and the shower did not work. The employee that came to assist was very nice, brought fresh towels, and he did his best, but the handle was actually broken beyond repair and it would run water, just not through the shower head. Took a colonial shower, I guess. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on in my life and I only got a few broken hours of sleep. We were really happy to be going in the morning. Check out was pleasant and the employee was friendly and kind when I checked out. Really.....all the problems are with the hotel itself and not the staff. The staff, I feel, is doing the absolute best with what they have. Kudos to the staff. Boo to the actual hotel.

To begin with upon arrival the clerk had no idea how to check me in. There were bugs in the lobby and trash sitting around. After getting to my room I discovered blood on both beds, the chair and ottoman had a lot of questionable stains, and there was trash under the bed. I was provided with 2 towels and 2 hand towels (no wash cloths) and less than a full roll of toilet paper for a 4 night stay for 3 people. Room service was never offered. Front desk clerk acted very put out when asked for additional towels and wash cloths. They didn't have them. They advertise free continental breakfast. There was none. The pool was closed the entire trip. I stayed on the 2nd floor with my husband and 12 year old son in a "non-smoking" room, but the smell of marijuana was so severe I was forced to explain what it was to my kid. There's cheap hotels that know how to be clean, but this was just disgusting. When I asked about a refund so we could find another, cleaner place I was told "You get what you pay for. No refund. Free to leave."

First room (we asked to be moved) had mold in the bathroom, 2nd room had outlets and lamps that did not work, missing ice bucket (though the lid was there), towel, washcloth, AC cranked to about 60 when we arrived making everything damp. Staff was responsive when approached, but overall conditions were less than even average. We booked the room because it got good reviews, but we did not find that at all.

Avoid this place like the plague!
Lost reservations for numerous people. Staff pleasant but completely unprofessional. Pool was closed and I heard staff complain that they didn't need chlorine because the water was fresh. Breakfast was to be included but we were told that was only on weekends. They did offer to make me some toast. The breakfast area was still dirty when we arrived at 9 pm and we had to wait for our room to be cleaned. We had reserved a suite that sleeps six since we were five traveling together but the room they had was a standard double; one of us had to sleep in a chair as they had no other solution. We were told that new management had taken over two weeks before. Absolutely terrible and Wyndham and Hotels.com should drop them to avoid any association. Horrible place.

Arrived at 3:30pm, was told that no rooms were clean. Looked down the hallways, sheets were off the bed but not the comforters. Went to Busch Gardens and came back at 10pm, was told sorry no rooms with king beds were available. Was then told they do have one room available, it has a double bed. Okay not a huge deal, told that their keys are down and need to be let in manually. Get into the room, stripped the comforter off since that was never cleaned. Go into the bathroom and found roaches. No other rooms are available to change into. Bed was so stiff, unable to sleep most of the night due to noises in the hallway, the room next door and of course the bed being so stiff. I have always thought highly of Wyndham but this was definitely not up to any standards that I have come accustomed to.

The property has been run down and has not been maintained. The room I reserved was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The room was full of smoke, along with dirt, dust, and a broken lamp. How were we supposed to see?! We were shown two other rooms that were just as bad. When I asked for a refund, there were two other families requesting the same! The manager has an “I’m right and you’re wrong” attitude and got into it with one of the customers. That isn’t even a place you go to as a last resort, you just go home instead, which is what we did.

What An Adventure
This is a lower type of accomadation that has been ok for a night. This time when we got there they did not have rooms ready we were told they have to check for a clean one. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm we arrived around 9:30 pm They had no key cards saying their machine was broken The young lady took us up to a room that was occupied. We went back downstairs. Then a young man went and checked a room and came back and said he found a clean room. The young lady took us up to room and the light switch at door did not turn anything on. I tripped on a bench as I went in to turn the light on at the bed. The sheets had stains on them and the toilet seat was peelling. We were told that if we left room someone would be at desk 24/7 We did not go out until morning and then there was not someone at the desk It was a good thing that we brought everything down in one trip. I had reserved a deluxe studio king bed no smoking Our room was a regular with 2 beds. Not sure what to do next time we come down to Williamsburg. I turned to my husband and said I wonder where the grown ups are.

Upon arrival I walked into a very busy lobby where I waited and conversed with other guests while I was waiting… I was told by multiple people that they were given room keys where guests were already staying and rooms were given that hadn’t been cleaned yet… check out was at 11am and it was currently 8:30pm, for rooms to not be cleaned when check in started at 3pm is ridiculous but to not even have them cleaned in 9 hours just baffles me. To give our room keys that already have guests in them is very concerning and is a huge violation to guests privacy. A guest that had checked in previously had come down and explained his room had no towels and had roaches in it was just another cherry on top to gross me out with this establishment. I waited over an hour for them to clean rooms and go door to door to see what rooms were still available to be told my prepaid room was not available… leaving me being hours from home with my husband and two young children to scramble to find another hotel to continue our weekend plans. My husband is an active duty marine and we do not get to have a ton of time to go on vacations so this was a huge stress and financial burden to find a last minute hotel. I was told I would be refunded but have yet to receive. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a “hotel”

Stay away from this hotel
This was the worst hotel my wife and i have ever stayed at. We made our reservations on june 15th. We ended up getting there late Friday and when we got there we were told we did have a room. Finally we did get on but the door did not lock the smoke detectors were in a drawer not even on the wall. My wife got in the shower the shower curtain fell off the wall. There was no phone in the room no table next to the bed. Didnt even get the room we paid for paid for king bed and ended up with 2 full beds that the mattress were so badly bowed in the middle light switches did not work the outlet in the bathroom had signs had been burnt and did not work. Did not have full breakfast that said had. Also say had pool and the pool was closed and had no water in it. They did upgrade to deluxe room after complaining over the reservation this is the room we stayed in when we went to the room the other room had a sofa bed had a mattress on top of it and dirty sheets and pillows. Avoid this place i have stayed at this place befour and was ok but was not this bad. The whole first floor smelled like smoke and our room had mold on the ceiling. This really ruined our who weekend

This place was a dump. We left after one night of what was to be a five-night stay. The safety lock had been removed from the door. The paint was chipped off everywhere. It is hard to describe how nasty it was. No A/C in common areas. It was VERY careworn. The only saving grace was the front desk clerk, who was a very kind and helpful person. She checked us in at midnight, and then was working the desk at 7:00 a.m. the next morning. I think she was the clerk, cleaner, everything. We have a high tolerance for properties that aren't the Ritz, but this was simply not habitable.

This is in a great location, and the staff was friendly. That's about all that was positive about this hotel. We had two rooms, and then purchased a third, and all the rooms were the same. The doors to the rooms were all in bad shape with peeling paint and chunks missing from them, and they all stuck so bad that one of them required us putting our shoulder into it in order to get it to open. The bathrooms all had filth encasing the bottom seal of the toilet, and so much mildew was embedded in the shower tiles that scrubbing it did absolutely nothing. The bathroom doors also all stuck, and one had to be lifted in order to close properly, and all had loose handles. There were two small pillows on each bed, a top sheet, and a fleece blanket. No comforter, and the sheets and towels were so thin. The a/c unit didnt get to temperature in the 3 days we were there, and it kept flashing "CF" which we assume is change filter. We travel quite a lot, and this had the worst WiFi we have ever encountered at a hotel. We had our laptop and a bit of work to do, but the WiFi wasn't strong enough to keep a connection. We also bring our Roku with us, but it was unusable because of the WiFi. We asked the front desk if they were having connectivity issues, because it was so bad. They said everything looked normal, but they reset it for us to see if that would help. It didn't. We also noticed that this parking lot was empty, but every other place on the street was at least half full. We would not bookhereagain

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. I have reached out to them and sent photos requesting a refund due to the mold, the stench and the general uncleanliness of the facility. these were the most dilapidated hotel rooms I have ever seen or stayed in. Guests should not be expected to stay in a room with holes in the wall, rust and deterioration on the doors, etc. The rooms did have a coffee pot, etc as advertised but it also had rust, holes in the wall, etc. that were not advertised. If I had seen these photos, I would not have booked this hotel. I expect a refund.

Absolute Rubbish-RUN!
This was by far the absolute worst building I have ever set foot in. Filthy, peeling paint and unsanitary toilets, ripped lamps and sheets weren’t clean. This place would never pass a health inspection. My dog’s kennel is nicer and that is not an exaggeration. To make matters worse, when we left because it was not fit for a family (or anyone) to stay in, we didn’t get a full refund. Avoid this like the plague. A prison cell looks like a five star hotel compared to this place.

Sucky Hotel
Don't ever go to this hotel if you do there's a wonderful lady at night that is very helpful and respectful. And the lady at night Mendy is very rude, ratchet, disrespectful, and cussed out my friend and myself. All we did is ask for a refund for the remaining nights and she threatened to call the police on us for asking for a refund and me telling her to watch her attitude. She got all stompy at us. If I could give this hotel a zero I would. Unlike the song Zero to Hero this is just a blank ZERO Rating.

Most disgusting room i ever stepped into. Smelled musty, the pull-out bed had mold on it, floor tiles broken, refrigerator looks like it rolled in mud. My skin started itching at the thought of staying a minute longer.

The refrigerator made a lot of noise, we unplugged it. The coffee was horrible. They should buy a Keurig machine. The pool was closed for repairs. The breakfast was minimal. The waffles other places have are great.

Staff was excellent. Rest of it not so much. No blankets on the bed or in the room, just a sheet. Had to ask for blankets and they got us a thin blanket the same as the sheet. The door to the room had to be lifted up to close. The key entry block could have been easily removed. Grout in showers had black dirt or mold. Only two working outlets in the room and one of those was for the tv. The pool was not working. The breakfast was just coffee and tea and a few small bagels. The whole place needs major attention. My husband even pointed out the elevator has no inspection sticker on it at all… I’m not surprised by the rest of the hotel. I would not stay again. Even thought of paying for another hotel down the road but we were only there 2 nights and at park most of the time.

Nice staff / ready for refit
The building is clearly at the point in it’s life cycle when it needs to be refurbished. I understand that with covid they may need to wait to save up the money to do it, but peeling paint dripping taps etc are ongoing maintenance.

A decent room at a good price.
The service was very good but there were a few things which could be improved. I stayed for a week, mostly because of the reasonable price. The elevator was out of service for a few days, but finally was fixed. The room was clean and roomy and had everything I needed. The facility looks to be fairly old, but it still in decent condition. It was a little noisy at times because the room doors are loud when they are closed by people entering late at night or early in the morning. There was a take out bag breakfast available only a couple days. The location was very good and very close to many restaurants and historic Williamsburg.

1st during check in I had to pay more money even though I paid with my credit card on line 2nd elevator was out of service 3rd room had what looked like dried blood on the ceiling 4th the microwave top had dried food residue on it 5th phone didn’t work and was told it would be fixed but wasn’t 6th no blankets on the beds 7th cigarette butts on floor next to nightstand 8th sink loose and sagging down from counter 9th toilet paper holder falling out of wall 10th room was not cleaned during our stay after we asked for it to be cleaned 11th no clean towels supplied for the room for second day of stay 12th window glass was milky white left no view to outside

Terrible, we were told the whole hotel was non-smoking but our room reeked of cigarettes! Front desk suggested opening our window to air it out, first floor room with no screens made it unsafe to do so. Every surface, except the beds, was sticky. Walls, doors, furniture, carpet, curtains all extremely ratty with peeling paint, scratches, stains. Indoor pool was closed, no explanation or warning. We were supposed to stay 3 nights, we left after one, thankfully they refunded the additional nights.

This place has issues. Mold in the bathroom. First night there discovered insects in the room. Power socket broken could not use my CPAP for sleep apnea. Woke up the following morning and saw a couple of bugs in the bed. Spoke with front desk. Clerks were sweet and nice. Second and last morning woke up with insect bites on my leg. Just angry. Also the WIFI is spotty. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I will not be staying there again.

Seen a roach , mini centipedes, and a spider flew out of my shoe and crawled on me in my room! Dirty environment overall seems like they don’t have a proper cleaning staff. Wouldn’t come again -0/ 10

Night clerk a vampire
Front day service was great. At night the front desk clerk was terrible. Nothing we asked for was available i.e sheets...blankets...pillows. i booked 2 connecting rooms so my daughter can have a birthday at busch gardens. We had 8 people for 2 rooms. Day clerk was great!!!

Decent Budget Hotel with Solid WiFi
I needed a basic, affordable hotel in Williamsburg for a weekend trip that was on a bus route to Williamsburg so I chose this one. I am happy with what I got and would book again at this location. The room was clean, I didn't see any of the issues I had seen in some other reviews, though the rooms could use some TLC as the rooms are showing their age. I would have liked to see more than 3 pillows on a king bed and a bit thicker blanket, but these were not deal breakers and not out of the ordinary for budget hotels. The free breakfast was better than expected, though I would like to see compostable bowls and plates used vs styrofoam ones like a lot of other hotels are doing. Two standouts for me were the WiFi and the Staff. Wi-Fi: Amazing. I was able to stream using my Roku. I rarely find hotel internet this high quality, especially in budget hotels. I also enjoyed there not being a complicated sign-in portal. Staff: The staff was very welcoming and friendly, though I could tell the hotel is understaffed.

It appears that the property is in a state of renovation. It is an older hotel that has been let go maintenance wise. The rooms had a musty odor to them. The front desk clerk was receptive to my concerns and did a good job trying to address the problems with the rooms. I refused to stay in the first set of rooms she gave me and she cheerfully took me to look at another set. That set was marginally better and we decided to stay. There are no in room safes, one room didn't have a haur dryer or trash can. The maintenance man brought a hair dryer and installed it within minutes of me asking for it. The lady at the front desk apologized for the condition of the rooms and said they were trying to upgrade as best they could. Personally i think at the end of the season they should shut down and redo everything that needs fixing. That being said, it ended up filling our needs of a place to sleep that was close to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. When they finish the renovations i would stay there again just because of the employees attitude and approach to their jobs. Sometimes customer service mea s everything and they came thru with flying colors.

Dirty bathroom terrible mattresses doors were not fixed correct on the hinge and the door inside the room for a conjoining room looked like it was kicked in I literally had to put the sofa I front of it to feel safe through the night

DO NOT STAY HERE!
Do not recommend me and my family went to stay at this and my son saw a roach near front desk.The mattress was also, rough the blankets were also, thin.They also set the room to 60 degrees don’t waste your money and stay at this hotel.

It was okay, The lady at the front desk was great. Ice maker - didn't work - it's summer! Don't ask for towels and rags - the cleaning lady was mean. No housekeeping because of Covid, the cleaning lady that was suppose to be cleaning did not want to hand out the rags and towels. Sent me to the front desk. The room was a little musty. The wifi was not working, and the kids were complaining. Overall it was OK.

Didnt like when i got into my 1st room tolit had hair on it and also when you sat on a rock like a rocking chair the bed had no comforter on it when I left the front office know and they put us into another room where that room had an AC that barely worked the room had a bad odor to it when it poured down rain water was coming inside on top of the AC unit I've stated this hotel plenty of times and it's just being run down hill kids running up and down the hall at 3:00 in the morning couldn't sleep I think we'll be staying in another hotel besides this one

The room was fairly newly remodeled. There were granite sink and new bathroom tile. The floor had reasonably good carpet. There was a new hairdryer, My refrigerator FROZE all my food in it. I asked the clerk to see if they could do anything about it. Nothing was changed. The hallway carpets had stains, walls need to be painted. However, it was reasonably close to Colonial Williamsburg. Staff was very nice to me. The ice machine was broken. There was no breakfast. My first morning they gave me a "to-go" bag with a granola bar, juice box, apple and a yogurt. They had somewhat of a breakfast spread on the weekend. My last morning I did not get a "to-go" breakfast bag.

A Quick Stay
This hotel was very affordable. This must be an older facility the rooms need some upgrading with maintainence issues The first time we stayed we were in a room that did not have the safety bar on the door, since it we arrived later we did not ask to be moved. We just hoped noone tried to get in. The bed was very comfortable. The room needed a few things done, painting, some rusty things fixed , but we were there for sleep. They had a small breakfast available some bread and mini bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit et... The area was presentable. We would stay here again if our regular place is too far out of reach. The team members there were very friendly.

Disgusting hotel
This was the worst the worst the worst hotel I ever been… very dirty… white sheets kind of brown, very unsafe door… bathroom very dirty…. The Blow dryer in very unsafe condition and stop working after few minutes of using it, the TV only one channel…. Not breakfast on site,, the coffee just water…. I left a night earlier… very mad and disappointed about it

This is a building that should have been demolished years ago. The place is falling apart. On top of that, it is not clean, has no amenities, and the services are terrible. We had a suite with a fridge and stove from the 70s (fine, if they work...), and then completely empty cupboards... it lacked any nice touches that we've come to expect in most hotels. Ice machine was also broken, and they didn't have a breakfast. When I asked for an extra pillow, the attendant opened another room and took it out of there. I could go on... don't stay here.

Misleading pictures rude female staff member
The room had a musky smell. Overall the staff was friendly minus the only white staff member we encountered who literally snapped at my husband and myself for taking a bagel and bowl of cereal to our room even though every other guest took their food to their room. The pool literally was peeling paint all over the place the windows surrounding the pool made you want to get a tetanus shot. There was what looked like dried blood on one of the pillow cases. It made my children feel unsafe to stay there because of how run down the property was. Looks NOTHING like the pictures posted on hotels.com completely different in person like the pictures were taken from another hotel not the one we stayed at.

Overall a nice stay and the people there were welcoming and helpful. The bathroom needs work - painting, updating, super-low toilet, broken toilet holder, small sink space, cheap washcloth and towels, soap not very good. Bed comfortable, nice microwave and refrigerator. No clock in the room. Great location.

Budget friendly but could be cleaner
Not as clean as we’d hoped. Missing electrical panel on outlet was concerning. Hotel is older and shows it. Staff was friendly and quick however. Only stayed for one night after a long day at Busch Gardens. Basically getting what you’re paying for.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Dirty, run down, no water avaliable in the vending machine for 2 days even after telling staff. Says they have continental breakfast. They had white bread on a plate and about 10 mini muffins like the mini ones, coffee was old, orange juice was bitter could not drink. Door on room looked like someone had previously kicked it in and broke the lock. Water would not drain from tub. Did not have any bath towels. Elevator had no inspection noted any where in it. Total disappointment. Wyndham should be embarrassed

The property was great, as were the employees I interacted with. What wasn't so great was the guy in the room next door constantly smoking weed outside the room. It came through the ac into our room and we could smell it every time. If we walked outside, we were assaulted with it, smell and the actual smoke. I am all for doing what you want, but not where there are other people who will be affected. I had a 2 year old with me who did NOT need to be smelling that.

Booked 2 night stay for quick break. Checkout in was prompt and efficient, and with a smile. We were allocated a disabled room (not requested or needed) but that was not an issue. Hotel is older and that shows, but it was clean and quiet. Breakfast was basic and enough. We checked out right before 7am and there was a sig at reception that a person would be back in 10mins. I located an employee in little breakfast area setting up. I guess they have to multitask, but he was very pleasant and no issues checking out. Overall a decent stay.

Served it’s purpose
I’m not one to knit pick. Needed a place to sleep for a family trip to an amusement park. For the price we got that. The room was clean the rest of the hotel was iffy. Staff was super nice. Hotel could use some updating.
