nice location for going to events shopping and dining. but upon check in, the bathroom toilet was not clean, ac is loud, fridge is loud and the light on the microwave is too bright. plus check out is not until 11 am and housekeeping was knocking at doors at 9am.

If you want something super affordable & decent, this is the place. No bells/whistles, just a decent affordable room. The windows open in the room, which I loved getting fresh air flow throughout the day. No disgusting carpet, right in the middle of a ton of food options and close to the highway. Front Desk agent, SUPER SWEET. Made my trip affordable and smooth.

About the only thing I didn't like was the coffee service. Since they don't provide the free breakfast, they should knock the coffee out of the park. Should provide half-and-half, and good cups with lids. When I went down to get coffee, they only had small styrofoam cups, no lids, and powdered creamer. They could do better.

The only good thing was a nice lady that worked Friday morning..they wanted $28 to check in 30 minutes early.no ki d of self service waffles, toast..nothing. only could get coffee 5am-8am..

Won’t stay here again
We checked into our room and put our stuff in there and then left to go do some things. When we got back to the room to start winding down for the night, we went to take a shower and the shower had a bunch of long black hair in the the bathtub and all kinds of dirt and hair around the corners of the bathroom and the shower barely had enough water pressure to get your hand wet. Also, the red wall had dried up white splatters on the wall and the microwave had splatter all over the inside of the door as well. The AC unit also sounded like it was dying a miserable death.
We went down and showed the photos to the person behind the counter that apologized and moved us to a different room. The staff was very friendly and the second room was clean even though we did find an old, used soap bar in the shower that we just threw away. Upon leaving the building, we stepped in a pile of dog poop and heard dogs barking in the room across the hall from us early on Sunday morning. This is not a bad hotel, but we would not choose to ever stay at this place again in the future. If you show up early and ask to check-in, they will charge you $28 to check-in before 4. They do give you the option for late checkout at 1pm which is also $28. Parking was free, WiFi worked fairly decent, and they do have a security guard that wanders through the building for security purposes at night.

we chose this hotel not Knowing anything about the area,the hotel. Weighing the style or cruise Due 2 airline snaffle, so we weren't expecting much and to our surprise. It was clean the staff was friendly except for one girl in the afternoon.
But the overall experience was very nice. close to the waffle house Applebee's, we had to walk cause we didn't have a car.

I didn't like the fact that I had an emergency and had to check out early. I booked my room thru a third party. I asked could I get my refund back to the last day. The lady at the told me that it had to be approved by the hotel. Orbitz contact the hotel and denied me my request. I could have invited someone else to stay until the next day but I was trying to be honest. I really was hurt about this. I have to deal with a love one and their circumstances which turn out being horrible. Thanks for the stay. I really was enjoying my stay until I received my phone call. I advise everyone to get the clear understanding of what happens if you have to check out early.

The room and furnishings were clean, the staff was helpful and the beds were comfortable. The only thing I could mention is one lightbulb was out, otherwise it was perfect for my need.

Overall the hotel is ok but the rule that you can’t leave your dog alone when you accept pets is crazy. What if your there for business but bring your pet you can’t take them to work with you.

HORRIBLE! The swapped me 2 times of rooms and both smell like mold! Floors dirty! Toilet dirty! I came with a baby and couldn’t stay there. The front desk refused to help! She (kaylin) limited herself to give me the Expedia number because they had to communicate with her. And then she wouldn’t pick up the phone in them . HORRIBE place ! AVOID IT !

Did not see anything on booking that they charged a 50 dollar deposit. Never had this happen anywhere Ive stayed. Had a service animal with me and informed I could. not leave dog in room for any reason and told this after paying. made it extremely difficult to get a meal. Bed was uncomfortable and sink situation was horrible.

I give it a solid 'Meh.'
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the wifi was strong and fast. It's a convenient location.
The woman who checked me in made some judgemental and condescending remarks to me when I arrived so that wasn't great. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud and there was no way to turn it off even for a few minutes to get some quiet. The microwave was louder than that and it also violently shook the entire cabinet it was in while it was running so I stopped it immediately because it seemed very unsafe. The room was advertised as having a refrigerator in it, but what it actually had instead was a deep freezer. Everything I put in the refrigerator overnight froze Solid and about twenty dollars worth of food was ruined. Some of it was salvageable but not most of it so that was very disappointing. And then I couldn't have microwaved any of it even if I wanted to because of the crazy dangerous dancing microwave. There were quite a few electrical outlets in the room, but finding one that was operational was a challenge even with all the light switches on. Three out of the four I tried had no power going to them at all.

Cannot leave your pet alone in the room…????!
A bit difficult to find- no food on the premises or nearby, except Courtyard next door. We were told we were not allowed to leave our cat alone in the room. Of course we ignored this- we could not take our cat to dinner. And after staying in several Trd Roofs we had never heard of this- they should tell you upfront prior to reserving.

Never staying here again
The room reeked of cigarettes even though it’s a non-smoking room. The floors and walls were disgusting, as was most of the room (luckily the bed seemed to be fine). Our neighbors fought and slammed doors all night to the point where we had to complain. The fact that we had to stay here with our 7 month old daughter was the worst.

Arrived at 3:46 to check-in, and learned there would be a $25 early fee before 4:00. Only one person at reception, and by 4:00, the lobby was full of unhappy check-ins. Was not able to be checked in until 4:45. Email from Red Roof threatened to cancel my reservation, since I had not checked in by 4:15. Gen Mgr had very surly attitude. Will NEVER stay at a Red Rood again!

The hotel was decently clean but is showing its age. The bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling and terrible water pressure. I did see 2 roaches during my 2night stay. Mini fridge doesn’t cool down enough, room itself was fine and was suitable for my stay. Price point was great, area isn’t the best but I personally didn’t experience any real issues. AC was cold and comfortable, would stay again if needed.

When I opened the door, there was Q-tip on the floor from someone else who had been there. Yuk, creepy... I didn't want to take shower, the non slip strips were torn back, so who knows the cleanliness & the stopper was loose in the shower.
The A/C is right next to the desk so it just blows on you. I had to put a blanket over the vents so that I could work.
I always wore my shoes because the floor was dirty with dirt under the desk area and the floor just looked very dirty.

There was a very strong odor in the lobby area. My room had a similar odor like cigarettes. The rags and towels had stains on them and the sheets had stains on them as well.

We stayed for one night. The front desk person was excellent. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was mostly clean except things like the corners. It just needs a deep clean. It was not nasty just not as clean as some I have stayed in.

Not impressed.
Building was being painted. There was very little parking because of this. The room smelled of years cigarette smoke even though signal all over states the building was smoke free. The room overall needed a good deep cleaning

Upon arrival, I noticed the building was undergoing maintenance (painting) and the entire windows were sealed. I arrived sooner than check-in, due to my flight being early and it wasn’t an issue. However, the receptionist was rude. I paid my my room in advance. She treated me as if I was going to break rules when asking for a card to secure a deposit for damage. Once I got to my room (503) it was humid. The first night was okay, but woke up the next morning to roaches everywhere when I turned on the lights. I went downstairs but no one was at the desk to say anything. I just spent more time enjoying Jacksonville than being in the hotel. I wanted a refund but sure it wasn’t or still not an option. They do allow a pet though. But I wouldn’t stay here again. Honest opinion. Every hotel in the area is honestly nicer if you have the option.

Room smelled like food, carpets were stained and crowd of people hanging out behind hotel made me concerned to walk around alone at night. Staff was great but the conditions of the place were not on par with the rating on here. Ive stayed at other economy hotels that were in much better shape and paid less.

Checked in after a 12 hour drive to be welcomed to a nonclean room went to front desk to sort it out and they gave us another room that had dirty bed sheets and staff had us make our own bed for the second room because they didn’t have staff on hand. Ended up changing the sheets and then later that night leaving because my wife and I did not feel clean at all laying in bed. Will not be back.

Not sure where the 7.8 rating is coming from but that's about 5 points too high out of a 10-point scale. Beds were relatively comfortable and the hotel quiet, but the bathroom was atrocious. The ceiling was FULL of black mold and the floor creases and corners had a nice collection of various items such a dirt, mold, hair, etc. It wasn't acceptable.

This was a very dirty room. The floors were sticky and had not been mopped in a while. The shower appeared to have not been cleaned in forever. There were blood stains on the sheets. The hotel smelled terrible. Will never stay here again.

Love This Hotel ! The Rooms Are Very Spacious & Open . The Hotel Staff Very Polite & Great Customer Service. The Only Thing I Don’t Like Is There Is Not Enough Options For Cable . It’s Like 2-3 Good Channels. They Guide Literally Has Maybe 10-12 Channels. But Outside Of That 10/10 Highly Recommended!

Stayed for Mayo Clinic with boyfriend. The room had a weird smell that smacked you when you opened the door. Walls are thin and can hear to next room over pretty easily. Slightly dirty stained curtains and bathroom in rough shape. However it did the job and we survived.
