All was going well until it got too warm in my room. I tried to turn down heater, but the hot air kept blowing. At midnight I still couldn't control heat, so i called the clerk, who then came to my room. She couldn't turn off so she turned on the A/C. Still hot air. Sweated all night. Not fixable, and too much trouble to move to another room. Still a clean room. Bed was comfortable

When I entered my room, it was almost as cold as it was outside. (-15 below). They didn’t even have the heat on in the room. I asked for a non-smoking room and received a Handicap room. The toilet didn’t want to flush and I had run the water in the shower for a half an hour to barely have luck-warm water. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’ve stayed at numerous hotels and this is the worst ever. I think I should be refunded. I do not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Not too bad for the price
It's a cheap stay so i wasn't expecting too much. Floor was moist. The water never got to a comfortable warm / hot temperature to take a shower. But everything was clean. I slept well.

Once my wife got out of the shower this morning, the mirror fogged up and the words "I SEE YOU" showed on the mirror. She was terrified and management just chuckled and dismissed it.
Great ending to an anniversary celebration.

Due to an injury, we did not end up staying. However, a $200 cash deposit, on top of a $20 pet deposit which was added to my card, was an unheard of fee-CASH, really?

The first room we were assigned to had q broken toilet. The second room smelled as though it had been smoked in, the bedding had burn holes. We are not smokers and did not qant a smoking room.

Check in was easy. Check out was at 11am and at 10:30am I got a phone call asking if I planned to extend my visit, which seemed unnecessary. No elevator but they had first floor rooms available when I visited. Breakfast items were dry cereal, instant oatmeal, toast, bagels, OJ, and coffee. The room was clean but dated. The towels weren’t all the same color, some were clearly pretty old. Good water pressure in the shower, but the shower head had some buildup on it. For the price ($77), I’d stay here again.

Everything was OK except that they should state that there is no elevator and you would have to take the stairs carrying your luggage also there was a cockroach were all the breakfast food was serve. Big parking space and a restaurant next door

I made the reservation online. There is not an option (in the online application) to tell that I can't climb stairs or that I need a room on the main floor. But the manager at the front desk was kind enough to find a room that I could easily get to. Without his kindness I would not have been able to stay at the motel (even though I had already paid online). I appreciate that he found a way to help me out.

A nice and clean place to stay with comfy enough beds, a great place for a budget hotel. Some areas of chipped paint on walls in hotel room, but no holes or anything. Everything was in working order and the wifi was fast enough for my web browsing. Breakfast appeared basic with some pastries, cereal, fruit and coffee-I did not use the breakfast so cannot comment on the quality of anything.

When we got there, we received a room that smelled like someone just smoked a pack of cigarettes in there. However, the staff immediately assigned us another room which was better. Although hotels say they are pet friendly, I am always amazed that you still have to pay a $20 fee for the pet. Breakfast was very simple, no fruits provided.

The man at check in needs customer service training. Throwing my DL back at me was not it.
The lady at check out was pleasant.
There is a full wall mirror above the bed that makes you feel like it a two way. I had to drape the sheets over the entire thing.

The place has no elevator, so if you get a room upstairs, you're gonna have to carry all your luggage up the stairs. The pool was closed for repairs with no ready date, nobody was working on it either. I have a big truck and even though there were barely any guests, the manager made me move it far away because he said I had to leave space for other vehicles were I was parked to be able to see the truck from my window.

Was a terrible 2 day stay. After the first day they completely cleared out all my belonging and it took a huge argument just to get them to look for it. They only returned less then half and told me too bad. Don’t stay there.

Decent for the price
I stayed in one of the suites. It was a nicely appointed and a very attractive room. My only issue was the with the heating/cooling unit. The AC compressor made an unpleasant oscillating buzzing noise. I had to turn it off. Fortunately, it was a cool night. In the quiet, I could hear another room's unit with the same affliction.

Working on our new warehouse two blocks from the Microtel, my wife asked me to stay there instead of coming and going at different hours disturbing the rest of the house. We are local. I booked the hotel on Expedia to earn my points. When I arrived, I was berated in front of another guest by the manager and told I circumvented their policy on renting to locals. He proceeded to go on about how he would not rent to me again. Wow. As a business owner with clients and suppliers coming into us on a monthly basis, this is one place I would not recommend to anyone. Extremely rude.

It had torn and broken furniture. Worst experience. I had to call the front desk. The people upstairs kept letting their children jump off the bed until 3 am. I finally called the front desk and they called them. It took awhile for it to stop.

Pros: inexpensive, clean look inside
Cons: smells of stale smoke, and you can hear EVERYTHING.
This is only for a quick stay and a very heavy sleeper. My next door neighbors cell phone alarm started vibrating and ringing around 4am. It seems they were a heavy sleeper because it continued until 515am. I could not believe I could even hear the phone vibration.
Could NOT recommend for a light sleeper. I stopped here after 19 hrs of plane and driving travel and still couldn’t sleep through all of the noise! (Foot steps, doors shutting, people talking, and the phone vibration/buzzing)

I understand that this is a cheap motel but the guys who work there in the guys who owned it we’re kind of weirdos. Basically just like overly paranoid about anybody they checked in kind of makes you not want to feel welcome when they’re kind of paranoid about checking you in. They did it to me and they did it to the couple that came in before me. So I from Springfield and was up there seeing my girlfriend and they made a big deal because I was from Springfield was trying to charge me some kind of stupid deposit It just kind of made me feel like a criminal or I was doing something wrong because I was an hour away just things like that they even made me fill out some kind of card with all my info on there even though they had it and other areas are. The hallways smell like weed but that’s OK I don’t care about that the rooms were clean though pretty small but clean like I said you get what you pay for and it’s a low rate I would’ve been fine with the smell in the small rooms but the staff were kind of weird like I said

I mostly had a problem with the following:
Pets: When selecting "pet friendly" on Expedia, you expect the hotel to be welcoming of pets. Well, I was told "cats are different" and that they need to stay in the cage all night? Why were dogs allowed to run the halls? ALso, $30.00 per pet to stay, when that was NOT mentioned on the page when I booked.
The Room: it was not great. Huge mirror, kinda looked like a two way mirror honestly, and only like 3 can lights in the room. No cups provided in the room.
Water: No water fountain, had to use the sink for drinking.
Side door access: side door, which was right next to my room, did NOT lock. It was basically wide open which did not make me feel safe.
The hotel needs some updates and maybe some upgrades. Otherwise, it is what it is. Overall like 2.5/5 rating. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious.

Nothing fancy, room was small but good enough for my husband and i to sleep. Didnt check out breakfast because Cracker Barrel was just across the street so we went there. Overall if your traveling thru and need to sleep for the night.

Overall nice place.
Overall it was a good night sleep. Room was clean and comfortable. The ac could have gone a little lower, but it was 103 out the day I checked in. Staff was friendly. Not a big fan of mirrors for headboards, I don't like glass above my head, but other than that it was all good.

The property was in a quiet area on the outskirts of Joplin, not much around it aside from a Fazoli's and a Cracker Barrel. You will need a vehicle for much of anything else. The property was lacking in amenities such as an elevator, no refrigerator or microwave, and the pool was closed down. It also drove me crazy that each time I walked in the gentleman at the desk would stand up and ask if I was checking in, which could be seen as a good thing. However, I came and went constantly for 2 days and the only time someone wasn't there to check me in was the time I was actually checking in

Not again!
Upon arrival there was a strong raw sewage smell outside of the building, then inside as well. The room thankfully was not effected. However the key only worked part of the time. The male staffers walked around barefoot. There was also a propane smell on the second floor. The bathroom door would not shut all the way and if I knew I could have gotten a refund I would have gone elsewhere.

I went to the desk to ask for a blanket and no one was there. I took a shower and the carpet was sticky which made my feet stick. I had a better continental breakfast at the Super 8. No pastries, 4 packets of instant oatmeal. When asking the morning desk person for milk, “there’s a metal can”. Before leaving, I noticed there were feces on the side of the toilet tank by the handle. I expected better. Will not stay here or any Microtels again…and Wyndham’s are iffy at best for me now. Will probably stay at a Hilton next time and pay the extra to avoid a repeat experience

The room was not big enough. Instead of a queen bed it was a full size bed. No Microwave or coffee pot, it was only quiet from about 8 pm to 4am. One of the drawers in the window daybed thing was broken, the breakfast was terrible, I do believe the guy at the desk gave us a smaller room on purpose because of the way he acted when we talked to him. Will not be staying here in the future.
