Hotel Condemned and still booking
When I arrived I found that the hotel was pretty much closed down and there were no vacancies. They kept my money and I am currently fighting to get a refund.

I trusted Expedia that the hotels it featured would be acceptable. I would not invite a guest to stay there for free. The room was filthy including a used hand towel that had blood and boogers on it. The bed spread was heavily stained and riddled with cigarette burn holes. The room smelled like a kennel. I just pray that my sheets were fresh.

Water didn’t come on in shower when turned on. It worked after a while but no hot water then very hot water. No mirrors in room. No chains on door. A worker walked in unannounced while my wife was in room. Unacceptable. Would not stay here again.

this property has roachs and we didn’t even stay at this hotel i had to go and get a new one and i need a refund and when i contacted the expedia manager she was very helpful but the problem was not resolved i would to be contacted about getting a refund. you can contact the hotel and they will tell you that they never even checked us in and we did not stay.

Rooms had roaches in the living room and bathroom and I didn’t receive a refund cuz they said the manager will be there in a week or 2 . Stairs not fixed like a death trap. They don’t clean their tubs. Horrible experience. This used to be my favorite place

Don’t waste your time or money!!
We had a reservation and when we got there the man working was so rude. We waited while he was on the phone for 30 minutes and then he tells us we can’t even have our room. We had to find another hotel that was 30 miles away and it was completely ridiculous.

Had to move rooms three times in 2 weeks. One of the workers beat on our door Midway through our two weeks and said we didn't pay but we very clearly did they were very violent and rude for no reason. Making fun of us you no pay you no stay as I cried trying to figure out the problem. When I went to get a physical receipt they said they couldn't print one but would email tried to email it six times couldn't get it. After a few more days a woman was finally in the office and she printed me a copy of the receipt. After this incident was moved to a far more inconvenient room in the upstairs where it was dirty and none of our things worked TV bad condition microwave non-functioning fridge non-functioning I believe this retaliation because I put a formal complaint in with Red roof inn but I don't think it'll do anything save your money and stay at the super 6 in Hazelwood it's worth the few dollar difference

Checked into a dirty room. My wife was on the toilet before she noticed no toilet paper. Tried to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. They changed our room to one that was still being cleaned. As we watched the housekeeper go into a different room and come out with a bundle of linen for our room. We could tell she had just removed it from the other beds. We did not stay any longer and will never return. Our experience to St Louis was ruined.

Not a vacation / trip environment
The entire place smelt of smoke. This is not a family friendly vacation rental, this is more of a full time apartment style rental for people without homes. Many week to week residents were in the lobby when I checked in. I didn’t stay due to the smoke smell and overall environment.

The desk clerk was very nice and helpful. The room was awful. The beds had black spots on the white bedspreads. When they were pulled back there were black spots that appeared to be bugs on the sheets. We did not stay at the hotel. The desk clerk was apologetic and refunded the money.

The most disgusting place I've ever stayed
There were roaches. The bathroom was disgusting. The bed had disgusting looking stains on the comforter and sheet. The mirror had sharpie drawings all over it. There was a couple having a very loud fight in room above mine. were holes in the walls stains everywhere. I will never stay there again

Check in time was 2pm. I got there at 245pm and was told there was no rooms ready would be another hour or so. I had to be somewhere at 330 and just wanted to get unpacked before my event. I ended up not staying there.

Ok stay for a short period of time as long as you’re not bothered by looks and smells. Holes in wall, stains on mattress, light fixtures did not work and no constant hot water.

I RESERVED MY ROOM ONLINE AND WHEN I ARRIVED THEY PUT ME IN A HANDICAPPED ROOM NO CHAIRS NO TABLE LIEN WAS NASTY FULL OF CIGARETTE BURNS TOWELS NASTY, FLOORS STICKY AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS LOUSY THE CHECK IN GUY HAD NO RESPECT AND RACIST JUST WAS HORRIBLE EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE UPDATED..

Not recommended
Used Q-tips left on heater/AC unit. Very old, lumpy mattress. Smudged towels. Generally run-down. Other guests around seemed to be the sort that doesn’t use banks but instead check-cashing agencies. No signage at interstate exit to help find the place. Chlorine smell in room.

Pass On It
We had spent the whole day driving just wanted a clean bed and a shower for the night. When we checked in, the lady was fast and lovely, but when we got to the room, we were disappointed. The room, even though it was Nonsmoking, smelled of smoke and the comforters had cigarette burn holes in them. The room also just had a general unpleasant smell. The sheets were also either dirty or stained and in the morning, I wiped used eyelashes out of the shower drain. Was not worth the price (roughly $75) we paid at all.

My stay was terrible. The gentleman at the front desk was amazing. But the room was very nasty, there was poop on the bathroom door, inside and out. The floors were so nasty that your shoes would stick to the floor when u walked. It also stunk like urine. I usually don’t complain but this was ridiculous.

Warning! Avoid, avoid, avoid
One of the worst hotel properties I've ever experienced. Dirty beds, floors, bathroom, well pretty much all of it. Stains on the beds, brown substance on the walls, curtains falling down. Front desk help was rude and slovenly dressed. A real nasty hotel... also, dog crap at the base of the stairs.

Disgusting & Criminal! Beware!!!
Night staff charged us cash for the 2 nights we booked. In the morning the manager said we didn’t pay but for 1 night & tried kicking us out, even tried selling our room. Luckily, I saved my booking receipt & threatened to call the police to let them know about their obvious con. They wouldn’t refund us so we unfortunately had to stay another night in our filthy room! So gross! Floors hadn’t been swept in quite awhile. The shower didn’t work & the curtain was so filthy it was stuck open! This place is filled with shady characters always begging for money & cigarettes. Wood stairs leading to second floor felt like they were going to break underneath you. Scary! This place should be shutdown!!! It does not seem safe for many reasons. Definitely, not a place to take your family to.

HORRIBLE ROOM
This was by far the dirtiest and grossest room I have ever stayed in. There were cobwebs in every corner, holes in the wall, no remote for the TV, stool wouldn't flush correctly (we fixed that), and the outside was trashy. I could go on and on.
Why did we stay? We got there late and was just tired. Most issues were not noticed until we started settling in.

This was the worst stay in a hotel we have ever had. The rooms were dirty, sheets unchanged, tenents drunk/drugged and yelling till 4:30 am. My co-worker left at midnight for a Springhill down the road that was great. Do not stay here if you are a normal person.

I ran as fast as I could from this place. Criminal activity abound. The absolutely worst hotel ever. I didn't even bother to stay. One look around after I checked in and I was gone.

Hotel staff is rude and unhelpful. Check in was listed as 2pm. He wouldn’t let me check in til 4 and was told I had to wait outside because I could t wait in. The lobby. The temperature outside was 27 degrees. The first room I was given had no heat and they wouldn’t move me to a different room until 3 hours because they wanted to to wait for the heater to warm up. The next room I was given had a joint roach in the floor along with actual roaches in the room. The trash cash had puke dried in and just had a trash bad covering it. 1 towel for two beds. Horrible

3rd times a charm.
Disappointed after third benefit of the doubt. Our first stay was just for an evening in town it was unremarkable. The second stay, also for one evening, the staff was very nice, but the room smelled. Bad. The comforter had cigarette holes.
Our last stay was two nights, which we got in at about 0300 for our first night. Exhausted we went straight to sleep as we had 0800 appointments. An ice storm had just started and we were in the semi. The following morning, as John left for our appointments, the parking was a solid sheet of ice as we're the walk way. I noticed we had no wash cloths, the tub had the remnants of the previous user, including the soap bar still in the tub (it was dirty and gross). So, I pulled out my handy dandy lysol cleaner and went to clean, but no hand towels either. A single bath towel. I called the front desk to ask some be brought to my room, and was told I'll need to bring the dirty to them and pick up a set.
I did not. John returned, and I went to sleep in my truck and showered the next morning at a truck stop en route to California.

Comfy bed but not much else
He gave us a disabled room without telling us. There was no table or chair in the room. There was a bench in the bathtub not allowing us to use the tub. The bench was in the way when taking a shower. The bed was still very comfortable but there was a loud banging starting around 5 am. I was not able to continue to sleep. We were on the top floor and the banging sounded like it was coming from above us, so the roof? The banging continued for over 1 hour. Very much not happy about this stay.

No hot water for the first 24hr. Room and property in obvious disrepair, room above ours had huge leak which poured thru the ceiling, soaking everything in our bathroom, not even an apology from management. Refused to compensate or offer discount because we had pre-paid. Several long term guests confirmed that this was SOP for the office staff behavior. A Health Dept “Do Not Occupy” sign was posted on another room, they should inspect the entire property.

The stay was ok
The beds weren't bad but the bed was dirty and the bath didnt work either. When we tried to turn it on the water came out the bottom and on the floor. The staff was great though help with everything that I asked. The only bad part was the room and a few issues here and there but overall it wasnt the best. I would recommend if you are staying one night and wont be in the room much.

Nice staff, bad amenities
I don't have high expectations for the discount motels, just a nice bed and a shower.
We arrived late the first night, so straight to bed. Staff was very friendly at check-in. Room was pretty dirty. Stains, sticky floor, dirt on walls, couple dead bugs.
Woke up the first morning to learn the toilet didn't work and no hot water. Front desk gave me a plunger (toilet not working, so didn't help) and said the boiler would be turned on in an hour. We left for the day for our convention, came back that evening, no toilet, cold water. The next morning hot water was on, so not so bad. Gone all day, came back, still no toilet after 2 days.
The staff was very nice. The price was low. The room was a little grosser than usual. Maintenance was garbage.

Great service by the night clerk. She was very friendly but once we got to our hotel room there was a homeless person sleeping in the hallway. The bed sheets have stains and the comforters had burn holes. Beds were uncomfortable and hard as concrete. Didn't get a good night sleep Checking out the clerk was to busy taking a personal call to even really acknowledge me or even ask how my stay was. If you want to go with a cheap hotel room go somewhere else.

This looks nothinglike the photos. Its in terrible condition! We got our room changed due to it being dirty and the ac and phone not working...not to mention still dirty. Second room..worse...burn holes on the comforters in BOTH rooms. Hair on the sink. Crumbs on the phone. This is the first time ive ever reviewed a hotel....plesse let me save you the trouble....just dont.

Avoid at all costs!
This place is a complete dump. Our first room had cigarette burns in all the ned linen. Shower, sink and bed were still full of pubic hair. Was used toilet paper on the floor behind the bathroom door. There was a glob of who know what, full of pubes on the bathroom wall. Floor was filthy. Microwave was rusted out and smoked. Vents hadn't been cleaned in years. Mattress and pillows worn out. Towels looked like they had been used to clean a greasy car engine. Only positive was the guy at the front desk who switch our room to a different one, which was slightly better, but not by much.

The air conditioner worked but was noisy and rattled. The toilet stopped flushing after one use. No hot water to shower even after running the water for 5 minutes!

Nightmare at Red Roof Inn
This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever booked. No pillows or trash can in the room. The rooms were foul smelling and the floors had to be cleaned upon out arrival. This would make a nice place to create a landfill! Don’t stay here.

Nice sized room. Tiny bathroom.
It was an adult and two teens age 16 and 17 one-room decent size with a pet the bathroom was extremely small as in you'd have a hard time opening or closing the bathroom door while on the toilet because it would hit your knees the rest of the room was well sized and comfortable

Strong smoke smell in a non-smoking room
Our non-smoking room smelled terribly of smoke as soon as we opened the door. We didn't even enter the room, but returned to the front desk. The attendant said that they didn't have any other rooms available and that we would have to handle any refund requests through hotels.com
Could not talk to a live person at Hotels.com, only a chat. They couldn't find my reservation even with the number I submitted to them twice. I was very dissatisfied, and put a stop payment on the reservation through my credit card company, which was extremely easy to do.
We were tired, it was late and the lack of interest in our situation was aggravating. We called another motel on our route, arrived and they let us inspect the room before we checked in. Much nicer service!

Stay away if you know what’s good for you! Felt like I was either going to catch something or get robbed while I was there. Stains and flies were as prevalent as the smoke smell in my nonsmoking room. Surely to god this is not how all Red Roof Inns are, or they would most certainly be out of business.

Nothing. The floors were dirty,stain on walls, the dresser drawers was covered with bug poop and second day found bugs on sheets on bed. At that point went to manager for refund for second night. They said would have tp get it from Expedia. That he would contacted them. We then pack up and left. In fear they were bed bugs we had to drive all the way home and missed out on our Sunday activities. Will not use Expedia or Red Roof Inn again, unless I am fully refunded.

The property was extremely noisy at times the bathroom needs some serious remodeling the overhead light in the bathroom vanity area did not work there were two refrigerators in the room neither one of them worked the wall behind the desk area needs to be repainted a lot of the paint was knocked off by the chair sitting in front of it upon check-out I noticed that the ice machine was not working and the vending area was extremely dirty

There was a huge crack across the bathroom door and visible cracks on the television screen. The freezer had defrosted and there was water in the fridge. The hot water in the shower only worked on a very low stream. I left early and stayed at a friend's place to take a shower in the morning. Would not recommend.

Staff was nice and ready. However the bathroom in my unit was not super clean: rust and dark stains on tile grout, dirt smudge on shower wall that was cleanable with simple wiping, graffiti on shower wall, toilet was loose and clanked whenever you sat down or stood up, TV was small for room and had 4 obvious bright burn in spots on screen, AND ... someone banged on my door at 3am looking for someone, but said they guess they had the wrong info. Was that a drug drop? Who knows.

Thanks for a good nights rest
The general room was quite nice.
The two queen beds were comfortable and nicely arranged. The sheets and comforters were clean, but the both bed spreads were clean but stained. The furniture was in good codition and not beat up. The shower could have used a good scrubbing due to dirt and calcificaton on the floor. The shower drain was a little slow and water covered half of the bathroom floor. It worked well enough so I did not feel the need to contact the desk.
There were dead bugs in the light fixtures, but no live or dead bugs anywhere else.
All in all, I enjoyed a much needed quiet nights sleep at a reasonable price. There were not people milling around all hours or being disruptive. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My Hotels.com app worked smoothly and seamlessly which made it better for both the hotel staff and my family. I would definitively stay here again.
