Nice and clean property with some construction happening upon arrival. No sound was heard from the room. Breakfast was nice and decent. The pet fee was a bit high, but otherwise it was a good stay.

Christmas Vacation in Virginia
My daughter and I was on vacation to visit family friends. The room was clean and hotel staff was very helpful. It was perfectly located to shopping and the Shenandoah National Park.

Renovating wasn’t at all inconvenient or noisy. Honestly didn’t even notice save for having to us a different exit door than the one I used when I checked in
Decent breakfast. Good oatmeal, waffles making machine, eggs, bagels (good ones), yogurt. Etc.

I think room was relatively clean. Light bulb flashed multiple times but they replaced when reported. We had a pet and we were charged 3 times pet fee accidentally and this was refunded to us when we called the hotel afterwards. I would suggest checking your bill before checking out.

Nice despite renovation
I had a great stay. This will be my 4th time. Good friendly staff, great breakfast. There was quick refill during breakfast and coffee. There was renovation to the front entrance. They were helpful in making sure we were durected to alternative entrance and exit. I hope to come back next year to see the renovation.

Check in is at 3pm, but at about 3:30pm my room was still not ready. The staff is friendly and pleasant to work with. This is one of the few hotels I've stayed in where the bed wasn’t so hard that i toss and turn all night and wake up with an aching back. In fact, I slept very comfortably! The free breakfast has a wide variety of options. They were out of knives though, so I had to spread my cream cheese with the back of my spoon. I noticed in the bathroom mirror that the overflow hole for the sink was pretty nasty. Most folks probably wouldn't think to scrub there. I didn't until I saw the reflection in the mirror! There is currently some remodeling going on at the hotel. Other than seeing the equipment and partially completed construction, this was not an inconvenience. I booked the room about 6 months prior to my stay and didn't know about the remodeling until I arrived.
Overall, this was a relaxing place to stay. I visit the area annually and definitely book here for my next visit!

The hotel was very nice and clean. The breakfast was very good too. They were having some work done on the front of the building, so we had to use the back door to leave and there was a flight of stairs. We managed it and we realized it was temporary. The location is okay. It's off of a highway, but our room was quite.

The property had construction equipment on site but the crew was leaving when we pulled up at 3pm to check in on Friday Labor Day weekend. The staff member checking us in was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The room was from the 70s with popcorn ceiling and the bathroom will hopefully get renovated but it was clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was closed due to construction. The small fitness room was nice. It was overall a nice two night stay.

Nice but under renovations
Hotel was under renovation. No problem with our room on the weekend, but there was a scaffold outside out window so it might be noisy during the week.
Also the pool was closed for renovations. That was not indicated in the listing.

This hotel isn't as updated as some of the others I stay in but it was super clean, the bed was comfortable, I felt safe, and the staff was very nice. Free breakfast in the morning is always nice to have and they had some great options. I would definitely stay here again if I ever came through this way again!

My only problem is when a pool is under construction this need to be diaclosed before hand. We dont get a room often and when we do we get a hotel with an inground and hot tub. When i get to the hotel with an excited 6 year old and no pool.
From now on if there is a pool problem it should be known at booking or a complimentary room should be offered for the aggravation

We like staying here. It is right off the highway. There are many food options. It is close to Skyline Drive. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Right now they are going through an update of the property but it did not interfere with our stay.

We were surprised at how upgraded and lovely the property was. Because of its location on Skyline Drive and other tourist attractions, there were a lot of motorcycles and campers in the lot. But, believe me, these are the finest Americans and families, and the property is immaculate. Don't worry when you arrive! Terrific location with tons of retail and restaurants really close. Big Wal-Mart for forgotten items. Gym, pool, terrific free breakfast. Quiet, lovely rooms. It's a YES for me, and I'm really picky.

Great Hampton, only issue is they ran out of most breakfast items 45 minutes before breakfast closed. Staff didn't want to do anything about it -- just a shoulder shrug. For $132 in a semirural location, I would expect more.

I would stay here again without hesitation. Unfortunately we couldn`t walk to anywhere with this property being next to 2 interstates but that wasn`t a problem. There is a McDonald`s next door which appeared to be closed for renovation at this time, but we don`t normally go there anyway. Every staff member including housekeeping and maintenance personnel were very pleasant.

The hotel was nice overall, but the air conditioner broke at night time and caused a burning smell. Then the rest of the night it attempted to start. Not enough to make me switch rooms but also not super convenient.

The location for us was perfect. Staff was polite, hotel was clean and well maintained, and most importantly to me, quiet. I couldn't hear the usual talking or TV hum from other rooms and even through we were directly across from the elevators, the was no noticeable noise as a result. Only minor complaint was that we were in a handicap accessible room and the clothes hanging rod in the closet was low and the mounted safe did not leave room for a suit, and it was way too short for a dress.

Our room was in the basement. I’ve never been put in the basement before. Also the surrounding area was abandoned. The coffee was terrible. One of the worst Hampton Inns that I have ever stayed at.

The pool was under construction and there was no note of this when we booked the hotel for two night. This was one of the reasons we booked at this hotel. Would of been nice to know before booking. Other than that everything was great. Staff was great!

I liked the lobby and the breakfast options. Carpet in all corridors is new. But the rooms themselves are no better than what you'd find on a cheap motel, with the typical heater and AC so loud that you can't hear the TV or sleep with it. Also, front desk would not pick the phone, despite many attempts.

was told because I booked thru EXPEDIA & not Hampton I could not get WF Unless I was a member or paid $ something. Also did no get First floor that I requested over a month ago. I am a Senior & a VET.. Scratch Hampton off my list !

Great stay. Staff was beyond friendly. Breakfast was OK. Juat being picky, but same spanish omelette every day. If there was a way to have scrambled once in a while that would be great, nevertheless 5 stars. Clean rioms. Coffee and tea always available. Great place

Like the newly configured room. Bed faces window. It’s like having a nice sitting area to look out the window. Also the bathroom has the shower on the exterior hallway side so that the noise is reduced for anyone that gets up early but doesn’t want to wake the other person.
