The only furniture in my room was two single beds. Absolutely no chair table at all. Home service was extremely spotty did not refill empty soap, dispensers, only empty one trash container, did not leave fresh coffee, supplies, etc.

Great staff. The rooms were very limited in any amenities and the bed was a futon that was completely sacked out. No place to unpack your clothes. They charged an extra 15 dollars a day for what you normally get at any other hotel for free. I would not recommend this place.

This hotel is VERY loud. Partly because there is construction going on right behind it, so that’s hardly the hotels fault. However bring your ear plugs. There is also a noisy bar across the street and the front of the hotel faces the back of a really huge hotel and all the deliveries come through there. So that adds to the noise. The staff is great! Very helpful. My husband and I got sick while we were there and the night crew was very helpful and accommodating. Even helped me with new bedding at 3:15 in the morning when housekeeping was not there. This is a very basic hotel room. Not a lot of frills but I’d stay again.

Cons: there were NO OUTLETS in the entire room that were empty or useable for guests. There was one that had a lamp and the ac, that I had to unplug the lamp so I could charge my phone. The AC leaked and soaked the entire carpet. The tv didn’t work at all. The phone didn’t even have a dial tone, so also broken. The shower constantly leaked even when we turned the knobs completely off. The bathroom door couldn’t open all the way due to poor placement of toilet and sink. There was a light switch that led to nowhere. The curtains were not thick enough and let light in and the lights on the street at night were so bright, we thought the light was still on after we turned the lights out. There were vintage glass panels on the windows that did not open. The balcony had water from our AC and the hotel room directly above us as well.
Pros: the was the location was 2 minutes from Waikiki beach. There were snacks in the lobby. You could borrow towels for the beach and floaties if available. There was also free coffee in the morning in the lobby but I did not try it.

The 8th floor room we had, 808 was right below the mechanical equipment on the roof! Very loud! Had to wear earplugs to sleep. Room was very small but clean and staff were very nice and helpful.

Price is what you get
Pros- First off the staff was amazing! Very helpful, courteous, and super welcoming. Secondly the location is really good almost in the center of the beach walk for shopping and 3 min walk to the beach. Thirdly the cost was very budget friendly.
Cons- might not be family friendly they have a karaoke bar on the first level which is a gay bar and you get all manner of people for 7pm-2am showing up. If you are not into that scene you might wanna look somewhere else. I didnt care but others might.
There is a light outside the bathroom that is always on at night that shines right at your head if the door is not closes to the bathroom. Even then you can still see it with the door closed due to it being a slate sliding door.
The pillows straight up suck they give you 2 per person and they are the flattest things ever. Ask for more.
The mattress is not thick at all, maybe 8 inches so you feel everything.
Also they did not have blackout curtains in our room so 630 you were up whether you liked it or not.
I did not experience any bugs in my room but DONT sit on the furniture downstairs the one time i did. I got eaten alive from something. They did put up a note says they were addressing the pest problem...
Overall it is just really old. I would probably go back if i was on a budget because the staff was really nice but if you dont have a budget go somewhere else.

Simple and clean
The Stay Waikiki is a great budget option, think Motel 6 in Waikiki. Clean, simple, comfortable, friendly helpful staff, but no frills. Bed is fine. Would stay there again.

A budget hotel
Prime location for this 2 star hotel. Perfect for couples, solo, or those on a budget. No pool,but you got the ocean a block away. Parking is $45 a day. The do have a nice bar, downstairs.

You Get What You Pay For
This felt like a party hotel- there was a huge garbage bag of Bud Lites on the day we arrived ("turn left at the Bud Lite cans") and there is a lively karaoke bar off the lobby. The street and the A/C were super noisy. However, it was literally one block from the beach, the staff are nice, and the room felt clean (though the holes in the curtains let a lot of light through).

Ok for a short stay
The hotel was in a great location just a block from Waikiki Beach. Which is all I wanted. The hotel overall was ok. It had a cool karaoke bar inside. The room was just ok. Good for a single guy on a shirt trip. The AC was kind of loud and you could hear traffic and trailers unloading even with the windows and sliding glass door closed.

Terrible hotel, please avoid if you can
We stayed at this hotel for one night. It was by far the worst hotel we stayed at. The windows don’t close fully. There was so much noise. It was a windy night so it literally felt like sleeping outside.
The tv was also not working.
The only positive thing to say about this hotel is they provide beach towels and floaties and tea & coffee.

The rooms don't even have soundproof windows, so you won’t get that much sleep because it is downtown, and it gets busy even at 3:00 AM; you can hear noises. Also, the windows are shut and locked up, so there is no view or fresh air.
The sheets look clean, but I am unsure if it is a hotel clean since I got a bug bite.
I Don’t recommend it to anyone.

Overall a great stay. You will have everything you need for a stay except hair conditioner. The wall outlets are behind the bed so you’re gonna need to crawl under or pull the bed out to reach it though. But other than that, it’s

Enjoyed walked around Waikiki Beach every day we stayed there, nice letting use beach towels. Only thing is the area is very loud at night its hard to sleep if you are a sensitive sleeper.

A second home

Stuff are helpful, but rooms are super old, and there's a karaoke bar in the first floor. We were first given a room in the second floor. The bass from the bar towards the room is through concrete, there's no way to hide. The we asked the receptionist to change us to a higher floor, so we got a sixth floor room. And that helped a lot.

Lady that check me in did not like me from the get-go. I asked her to put me on the highest floor possible she deliberately put me on the first floor . For some reason she just didn’t take a liking to me and anytime she sees me in the lobby. She gives me a go to hell look I don’t know what gives but other than that the place is OK.

Properties can always improve but, this is a good place to stay especially if you don’t stay in your room that long. Pay lots of money for a hotel or resort to not be in it is crazy.

i love little boutique hotels, they are less intimidating when you just want to go downstairs for coffee and don’t have to walk very far. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Parking was easy if you prepaid.

The location of this hotel is great, walking distance to everywhere (Waikiki beach, shopping, many food restaurants, Zoo, Aquarium) is convenient. Customer service is also great and they offer complimentary coffee. The room was clean however the AC gets pretty loud and you can hear a lot of outside noise while in the room, would not be good for light sleepers. Overall, great experience.

This was a beautifully, budgeted boutique hotel located just 1 block from Waikiki beach and 2 doors away from a local ABC convenient store. The staff is AWESOME and the complimentary beach mats, chairs, towels, and beach floaties are a drfinite plus that I was taken totally by surprise, not to mention the complimentary FREE Laundry area that included free detergent....AND THE COFFEE......complimentary Loins coffee from 8am-9pm daily started off our dau on a great note. Definitely would reccome Dtay Waikiki and will stay there again when I return.

The only thing I did not like about this hotel was a lot of noise outside.It seemed like it was a construction zone. Also, there was a party room on the first floor but the noise of it could be heard loud in the second floor where our room was. The personel was awesome, extremely helpful and would do anything to help.Room was very clean and towels changed every day. Hotel was offering beach towels in daily basis which was extremely helpful.Checking in and out was very easy.

It was kinda cute but I almost walked right past the place because it's just this skinny little building CRAMMED in between the surrounding properties. The karaoke bar in the lobby seemed cool until you realize that no matter where you are in this run down little motel that THAT'S all you'd be hearibg

I booked this hotel because I was moving off island and needed a room for one last night. Having lived here for a number of years, I knew there were some hidden fees when booking a hotel in Waikiki. I was amazed that there was a $15 convenience fee and then $45 a night parking fee on top of the room fee. The room was tiny with two twin beds on military style racks.
The room was nothing more than a place to sleep. You could not sit and relax after a day walking if you wanted to as there were no chairs or small tables in the room.

In the heart of Waikiki
This hotel was a sweet find. The rooms are small and no frills but the frontdesk and housekeeping staff is like family. We became friends with other guests and talked of our travels and homes. One block to Waikiki beach, the big banyon tree, restaurants, resorts, shopping, public transportation. Limited Parking is available for $45/day - worth it! A safe, clean place to rest your head and plan your next daily adventure.

The property is very much in need of an upgrade; there were no amenities or facilities to speak of, furnishings were basic at best, and the "lightproof" window shades were perforated. Thanks to the karaoke bar downstairs, outdoor revelers on nearby balconies and in neighborhood bars, and morning construction on the block, it was noisy enough to require earplugs for a decent night's sleep. That said, it was clean enough if not particularly comfortable, and convenient to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and points of interest. Purely functional for our stay. It was especially disappointing because we had booked a room, 2 months in advance, at the Club Wyndham Royal Garden at Waikiki Hotel, only to be advised via Expedia when we arrived in Honolulu from Sydney that the room was unavailable; no explanation was offered. It then took 2 hours on the phone with Expedia's call center agent to find an "equivalent" hotel, i.e. the Stay Hotel Waikiki, which actually cost more than the Club Wyndham facility. We actually questioned the front desk staff at the Club Wyndham as to what happened to our reservation, and were told that a booking through a third party (Expedia in this case) does not constitute a reservation. Up to this point, on our journey from Boston to San Francisco, New Zealand, and Australia we relied on bookings made via Expedia for a total of 6 separate lights, 6 other hotels, 13 campgrounds, and several activities without any issue. We feel we were treated very poorly.

Pros: super convenient to beach, shopping and dining. Old but clean. Good bath and beach towels. Water filling station, super friendly staff. Fun bar on site. Good water pressure in shower (though if you’re over 5’8” you’ll be stooping.
Negs: hard bed, even harder pillows. Windows are old style slat glass and ours didn’t open. Had to keep AC running 24/7 to be even kind of comfy. No hand soap at sink, no lights to turn on when you enter.
Do not book this hotel if noise keeps you up or wakes you up. Very noisy.

1950 style 2023 price
Bed just cheap quality spring bed. The toilet still smelled urine I have to remop they try to repaint the room but you can feel the atmosphere of 1950’s but the price just the 2023 high price but the location is closed to the beach that’s cannot be best if you are surver. If you have family perhaps find somewhere else since you can hear music Or karaoke idk until late then early morning bus brake if your room close to the road so it’s totally doesn’t worth my $280/night vacation plus the grumpy front desk lady who complained she is by herself

Window design doesnt stop a lot of noise, so the higher the better for sropping noise. Soap, shampoo dispensers are a major pain in the butt.
I had to ask 5 times for my receipt to ne emailed. The wifi could definitely be stronger as i struggled to stream shows and doing work was difficult with a poor signal.
Now the staff is super friendly, the convenience of location is top notch. Local food trucks right arpund the corner is cool.

Pros: 3 minute walk to the Duke statue...the heart of Waikiki. Beach towels provided. Clean.Nice staff. Keurig coffee, tea, and filtered water available 24/7. Strong AC.
Cons: Can't open the window louvers. Window curtains don't fully cover the windows. Although we found parking every day, parking is limited to 15 stalls.
In general, we had a very pleasant stay at Stay Hotel. I thought it was great for the price.

Location and stay was great....parking is an issue
The Stay Waikiki is in a great location at the heart of Waikiki. Being a business traveller from another island; I was not so impressed with the lack of on-site parking that is available, however the receptionist was able to accomodate me on the day of my arrival. I probably will stay here again in the future.

The room was dirty everywhere, there was no soap in the shower dispensers, the tv did not work, no bar of soap left for us, and no parking was available.
The hotel is poorly managed, but we had fun as the area is amazing.
