Daycation messed up by Snow Storm!
Weather was terrible during our stay (snow storm) but the indoor parking helped. Room was great, morning breakfast area was awesome, gym was adequate to get a decent workout in. Would definitely stay here again!

This was such a great hotel! The staff were lovely, everything was clean, the beds were so comfy I honestly wish I could rate it higher.
There is free tea and coffee available at all times and they give you a couple of bottles of water upon check in.
The details in the bathroom such as makeup wipes, eco friendly shampoo and conditioner and the body wash and body lotion all felt like premium products.
I knew it had good reviews when I booked but I honestly think this hotel should be given a higher star count!
If we ever come back to Salem, this is exactly where we’ll be staying.

It was such a gorgeous property the only downsode was front desk staff wasnt very welcoming. They did nothing wronh however when greeted they didnt smile or say much of anything.

Lovely little place friendly staff!
Very lovely hotel & location. Staff is great. I was a little miffed that there is a parking fee ($21/night), but guess I missed that on the description. I just wish they left more blankets in the room & the heat/air didn’t make such a clunking sound when it turns on & off at night. The area is nice and quiet during sleeping hours except that. Overall hotel is very lovely!

This is a robust choice if you want to stroll around Salem.
Room is standard but comfortable.
Breakfast is the simply non healthy American style breakfast…. But when you traveling and you stop there just for one or two nights, the rest n house breakfast included in your room rate is a plus.
Parking is $22!
Overall it was a good experience !

Hotel is beautiful and very convenient to downtown Salem and businesses. Complimentary breakfast was tasty and offered something different every day. Love the showers and beds are super comfy.

We liked everything! All restaurants, museum and activities were very close to the hotel; we walk to go see all we wanted. The pool and the gym were so nice and the breakfast = a delicious brunch every morning.
My sister & I had very good time :)

Check in went smooth and I have no complaints about the property. Only thing I thought could be improved is offering an airport shuttle through the hotel. Nice location close to everything I wanted to see and lots to do. I really enjoyed my visit and would love to come back some day.

Pro’s:
1. Great location, easy walking distance to historic Salem. The location could not be better.
2. Parking was easy and I felt my car was safe. It’s “valet” but I was able to park myself. It cost $22 per night.
3. Starbucks right across the side lane. It might as well be in the lobby.
My only slight negative was my room was not available when I arrived but I was about 45 minutes before 3:00, so I’d concede on that point expect that two other couples did get rooms that came in after us. I am a Hilton Honors member but I did make this particular booking through a third party service, so I theorize that’s why we were a lesser priority.

I love the location! Walkable distance to dining, attractions, and shopping.
The beds weren’t the greatest to sleep on but the room itself and overall bathroom was nice. The dining area for breakfast was great. Lots of seating. The gym is pretty decent too.
Staff was friendly. Would definitely stay again.

It was nothing special. Pillow very flat. Carpet dirty. But to raise the price that high just because you can is outragous. For the price i payed should of had a suite. I thought i was getting some really nice room but it wasnt any different then the rest at 700 a night shame on you.

Highly recommend so close to everything just walking distance. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Parking for anyone staying overnight which is a plus even when it has Garage full. Great lobby and free breakfast which was not the normal food you get, delicious and the menu changes daily.

The hotel was over priced for the accommodations. Something you just dont know till you get there. I also left a very expensive steve madden shoe that had never been worn. Ive called several times to inquire about the 1 single shoe. The customer service after the stay was and still is horrible. As im still inquiring about the show almost a week now and the only answer i get is I will.check with housekeeping.

Perfect location to walk to all the highlights of Salem. Hotel is immaculate and we had a 5th floor corner room with view of the city, great parking ($22-a day). You’re greeted at the front desk with bottles of water, which we appreciated after a long trip. Bree, in the free breakfast area, was so friendly and helpful. Thanks Bree! Will definitely return.

Modern hotel, great location
We had a very nice stay at Hampton Inn in Salem. The staff was courteous and professional, the room was spotless and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel seems brand new with very modern finishes. Great location too, just a short walk from Essex Street and the major landmarks in Salem.
Surrounding the hotel are a couple of restaurants and a Starbucks is directly across the street. They have an attached parking garage too which is super convenient (I think it was $22 for the night which may seem high but parking seems to be tough in Salem, so it’s worth it). I would absolutely stay at the Hampton again. And PS it’s pet friendly which I love!

Check in staff needs serious evaluation
Overall the stay was nice, but when I checked in on Monday afternoon the staff two gentleman and two ladies (Mabel and Mariza) were incredibly rude. During check in they could not find my reservation, and instead of being friendly and trying to help me in the situation the girls glared at me with eye rolls and attitude. And the gentlemen glared. While I was chatting with online assistance the taller gentleman with short hair was being condescending and dismissive like I was wasting his time when I gave him various confirmation numbers to try. And the short gentleman just leaned on his elbows glaring. To say I was made to feel uncomfortable was an understatement. Management should definitely review who they have working in “customer service” positions at the hotel.

Close and convenient.
It was a very nice stay, comfortable rooms. The only thing was communication from front desk. We checked in, they didn't need a credit card, but then the next day they needed one for parking. Which is 22.00 per day, but 15.00 if you are not staying at the hotel. Either way I paid for the parking with cash.

Entire hotel is "pet friendly." No rooms are kept pet free for guests with allergies. First room smelled overpoweringly of dog. Staff cooperated nicely with request for different room. 2nd room had very mild dog odor. Would not stay here again with my allergies.

There was a fire alarm drill at 9am and lasted roughly an hour. We were unaware of this until we were suddenly woken up by the noise. If I had known this, we would have gone somewhere else. We asked for a late check out so we could rest after driving most of the day but that didn’t happen. We got 4 hours sleep!!!

The front desk personnel it was awesome and full of knowledge. The housekeeper forgot to left coffee every day so I went out for the coffee she should paid more attention to details like coffee or if there is tissue paper in the bathroom. Bugs in beds on sheets. Little black bugs bite us all night. Room 305 not sure but no sleep. Unfortunately won’t come back unless for free to accommodate me for room $$$ for night stay and Famliy didn’t get rest nice facility should rooms should be checked

The free breakfast is worth the stay. Very close to everything. I parked my car when we checked in and didn't use it until I checked out. All employees I came into contact with were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and beds were comfy. I will definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very responsive and helpful. I loved that when you walked out of the hotel and you were able to walk to almost everything you needed or wanted in Salem. The parking garage was easily accessible as well.

I wouldn’t even rate it one star
The landlord came and demanded $320 because we had more than 4 people there
Then I had to call the cops because a guy tried breaking in with me and my children inside
The neighborhood is the worst in Salem
The house across the street was shot up 17 times and the police told me the crime rate on that street is very high that house should t be allowed to rent out
BEWARE do your research
I called the landlord to get my money back for the night we didn’t stay because of the attempted break in and he won’t call back
On top of what Travelocity charged he came and charged more and I couldn’t even stay the entire time and had to pay to go to a hotel for the safety of my children
