The hotel property was beautiful, but I wish the dining options had more conventional options versus "inspired" dishes.
The beds were also very uncomfortable. It was impossible to fall asleep for our one-night stay as the closer you got to the edge, the more it felt like we'd roll right off the side. The pillows were also VERY flat and lacked any comfort. The hotel and all its charms hardly make up for the lack of a comfortable stay.

Customer service is awesome! Friendly staff. Room was nice witn a beautiful view of downtown. What i didn't like was we had to call about an issue that we were having in our room three different times for the same issue. I can say that each time i called they showed there concern and sent an engineer right away. I do recommend this hotel and will visit again when i come back to Austin Texas.

Pleasant stay
This was our second time staying at the Marriott Downtown. I love the location and vibe. The room is clean and comfy—walking distance to great food, shopping, and the hike and bike trail. We will stay here, again.

Loud lobby, rooftop bar was mediocre. Parking; getting picked up was a nightmare. Beth slow to park and valet cars. It’s. Small area and cars were always backed up onto the Main Street.
Staff wa great but they definitely seem understaffed all over the hotel. Room was clean, floor was quiet.

Terrible service. My room
Wasn’t ready by 4:30pl! Terrible customer service. I’ve stayed here many times. Major dissatisfaction. I should have gone to Four Seasons. The elevator situation was a giant disaster for many reasons.

The market in the lobby of the hotel was such an unexpected bonus! Delicious fresh cappuccinos, hot bagels and croissants, salads and smoothies were a game changer for daily breakfast. Not having to worry about leaving the property every morning in search of breakfast or late night healthy snacks --and the quality of the offerings was unmatched. Also the happy hour offerings in Corrine restaurant were delicious and affordable. This really impressed my daughter and I. I sent photos to friends and family for any future trip to Austin!

We stayed 5 nights and twice came back and our room was not made. We have to constantly remind them we needed our room service. Ask for bellman 30 minutes prior and had to call twice. Staff is not properly trained.

Nice hotel. Super clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Pool and bar in 7th floor offers great views, tapas and drinks. Convenient for walking the city. The only downside was the 500 charge for incidentals which I didn’t know about until check in. They refund or release if you don’t incur however they charged me twice for this and although that was their mistake, they could not reverse the charges until I checked out. Then it’s 5-7 business days to get your money back. Having a grand tied up for a week is ridiculous.

Lovely new & clean hotel, very conveniently located next-door to the convention centre. Also easy walking distance to some good restaurants. Rainey Street & 6th Street are also only 10 minutes walk.
For runners/walkers - there is a nice trail around the river with 4/5 minutes.

I had the most amazing experience at this hotel. In particular, I was impressed by Om - who was working the front desk when I checked in. There were some complications when I tried to check in, and he was extremely patient and hospitable in helping resolve the situation. 100/100

The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable, which was what you'd expect from a Marriot property. We were really impressed by the level of service we received at the hotel. One of the front desk staff Garret went above and beyond to make sure we were settled nicely.

Very helpful and polite staff! Hotel is in an excellent area for dining and downtown activities. Two blocks from the Colorado River which has plenty of activities. Great views of the Austin skyline and the river. Rooms are very nice and we especially enjoyed the spacious shower with the rainfall head.

All amenities were great. I was disappointed with my breakfast from Corrine. The box of food I picked up was deep and I could hardly eat it. No plate was provided. The staff was great but not enough staff to accommodate our conference.

Excellent location, the staff was superior. The valet parking was a tad expensive and was only explained when you got into reading all the information. If traveling to Austin, skip the car and walk and enjoy to avoid parking fees. Well worth it! Otherwise, absolutely will stay here again.

My stay wqs wonderful and the staff was amazing. Everything was pretty much perfect. Thw room had a great view of the city, the staff even had cold water for guests who were out and about. Overall would recommend for business or leisure.

Desk people were amazing! I truly miss the absence of a Bible in my room. For some reason i had an unexpected real difficulty in sleeping. Perhaps it was the AC system which was blowing on me no matter which bed i used.

Room layout is awkward. If you are in the shower & someone opens the door to the room they can see right in.
Floor in bathroom was kind of dusty.
No safe or fridge.

Our stay was one of the best ever!! The Downtown Marriott was exceptional from check-in, with Jenny, to check-out. The bar, in Corvinne, was perfect. The bartenders were so nice and friendly. The rooms were comfy.
Seriously, one of the best hotel stays ever!!! Bravo!

Service, cleanliness, bar/dining options were all great.
But the bed may have been the hardest bed I've ever slept on. Also the layout of the bathroom in the rooms offers no privacy. Walls are paper thin. Pretty sure there was a dog barking in someone's room for about an hour one night as well.

Relatively new hotel centrally located with great dining options. Staff was very good. Was upgraded to room with great view of lake. Room was clean and comfortable. I found the shower floor to be a bit slippery. Got a great competitive rate. Highly recommend.

I was moved to a different room after the first night because of a noisy fridge! The second room also had a faulty fridge. A new fridge was brought in that didn’t get cold! I got no rest for two days!

I live in downtown and having a staycation at Marriot Downtown was a great decision. The rooftop pool/bar is great, they have pool service. Gwen assisted us with all of our luggage and showing us around the hotel as well as Noah. Would stay here again.

I stayed here for a conference. My experience was fantastic, from check in with Tamersai, to interactions with every staff! I would definitely return on actual vacation. They made a conference feel like a cozy getaway. The restaurant and food options were delicious! I highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. From our check-in to our check out the entire staff was excellent, very friendly and courteous.The Zanzibar roof top lounge was a treat as well as the Lobbyist lounge. We ordered room service for dinner and although we ordered late it came promptly and was delicious, although there was no table to actually eat on.The location is walkable to all downtown has to offer without the noise. The only thing we found odd was the frosted glass barn door to the toilet area. Otherwise, 2 thumbs up from us!

Location, area and pool was great.
Arrived well after check in and room was not available. Had to change in the bathroom and keep our stuff with the bell hop therefore couldn’t enjoy the pool scene fully.
For the price per night, you should be able to enjoy the amenities on time.

I have no reason not to give 5 stars. Restaurant was great, staff was great, the breakfast in the little cafe was so good the breakfast burrito, cinnamon roll and latte was a hit for me. Nice gym, pool is nice as well and room was super clean and modern looking, price was very reasonable too I would definitely stay again.

It was a great stay… when I got to the room the sheets was dirty, I called and they took care of it very quickly. Amenities were amazing, staff was friendly and quick to respond. There wasn’t a fridge and microwave was on the 7th floor. Other than that I would def come back to this hotel.

Everything was very nice but I was charged $122 for valet parking after I left. Nothing was said about there being a parking charge when I arrived. Let alone $56 dollars a day. I feel like they should have said that when I asked where I could park. All that was said was they only had valet. If I would have known I would have found another place to park

We requested a roll away bed a month before when we called the Marriott reservation centers they said it was possible, assured us they put a note in our file with our request, once we got to the property they said there were none available and no alternative offered. Gave us a 50$ voucher instead, still unacceptable.

Everyone was very helpful and so sweet! The hotel was pristine and the rooms were spacious. Absolutely will stay again. Really appreciated that there was complimentary one hour late checkout but if needed, any extra hour was only $25. That was amazing and exactly what we needed.

Its a new hotel. Love the unique elevators. Great options for a person with food restrictions.it was challenging to get a waiter at the pool. Pool water was cool & refreshing not warm despite the TX heat. Will definitely go back!

Nice hotel, good food options, but not all of the staff was aware of what was offered at all of them (alcohol, serving times, etc.) We paid $52 in valet parking (that is the only option), and your internet won't work unless you are connected to the wifi which is only available to Bonvoy members or at a $15/day rate. Otherwise, if you don't care about that or if you're company is paying, the hotel was a nice choice.

The staff provided 1st class service from the front desk to the roof top. The hotel and room were extra lean and well kept.
