Not our typical stay
I was surprised to find out that is was considered a 'residential' establishment. We provided our own t.p. and garbage bags. Pots and pans were available to purchase if desired. None of this was an issue, as we were in a 'situation', and were in dire need. Ever brought the dog!

There were no cups in the bathroom and no coffee service. I asked for a cup and staff could not provide one for me. I didn’t need the kitchens but had I planned on using it I would have been disappointed. The kitchen had Nothing in it to use it. ??? A disappointing experience overall. But the staff was nice.

Nice facility
The facility was clean, quiet and comfortable ... what more can you ask? I'm just glad I didn't need dishes or flatware or cooking utensils as those things incur extra charges.

I arrived to the hotel at 12 midnight due to my flight being delayed. I did not get into my room until 1 am due to no one being at the desk to check me in. The whole experience was horrible!
I would not be returning!

It not a good place to stay guess I book a room at 11am they confirm my booking I drove 3 hours… on my arrival time the staff said the room was book out but they supposed to send me an email to let me to figure out funding somewhere but they didn’t say anything they let me come then said it booked out so I slept in my car…

Frustrated
I tried to cancel the reservation and got nothing but the run around by the hotel and Hotels.com. Reservation was never cancelled. We had to go to Sleeps Inn due to us needing 2 rooms.

This is a convenient place but lacks services. They provide bare minimum breakfast options like muffins, coffee, granola bars & ready to eat oats. And sometimes few of these items are missing too. They do not have any substitutes for them.

This property was much better than the Calumet property as far as safety, however we were a bit disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. We initially asked for a new room and the second room was dirtier than the first. So we went tback to the first room and cleaned the bathroom ourselves. The face towels that were provided had hairs in them. We went out and bought our own set of face and body towels.

Needs improvement
The hotel can use some updating. Some or the towels had visible stains on them. I don’t think they were necessarily dirty, just stains that do not come off with the wash. Those should be automatically replaced. There is a smell of humidity in the room. We had to unplug the fridge in our room because every now and then it made the loudest noise. The staff was friendly. Although, i did have to call the front desk to ask a question and had to dial around 4 or 5 times before someone picked up.

It was clean and quiet. However, the desk clerk seemed rather irritated (my check-in was very routine; no special requests or anything). No big deal, since we all have bad days. She did rather cheerfully inform me that there were no ice machines. There was one empty ice tray in the room's fridge.
I was here for a medical consultation and which will require me to stay near the surgeon's office. Will likely be exploring other options next time.

Should be condemned
I shared photos I had taken with the desk clerk when I checked out a day early. I would have checked out immediately upon entering my room Thursday June 23rd except there were no reasonable rate rooms to be found. When I opened the refrigerator, I found cockroach feces all over the INSIDE of the door. Not on the outside of the fridge, but INSIDE of it. I opened the freezer and found the exact same thing inside of the freezer along with a pile of molding food. This is beyond repulsive, and I was so happy to be able to leave. I feel I might need to burn my belongings so as not to bring the disgusting pests into my home. I realize the rate was quite reasonable, but I did not think it would be because I was splitting the fees with cockroaches. I will be reporting this to the corporate office as well as a call to the local health inspectors may be needed as well.

This hotel was in very bad condition The floor was sagging heavily and the toilet didn’t flush. It took over an hour to try and get a better room and even communicate with the front desk. Who when these issues were discussed were rude and not courteous. Very low chance we would recommend or stay again…

Not worth the money
This was possibly the dirtiest hotel ive stayed at in my entire life. There was barely staff at the desk, the silverware was filthy and the room had all kinds of bugs and roaches. The internet went out at one point. Didnt know it was an additional fee for house keeping which i thought would be included. Dead bugs in all the drawers. Then the shower was horrible, we moved the shower chair and centipedes came crawling out. Also there was hair in the drain. Never going back and horrible service

Avoid this hotel!
This property was most disappointing! The cost of the room was $181.35, but it was barely worth half of that amount. For starters, the hotel had no reservation for us when I called to check the day before and did not seem interested in calling hotels.com to investigate. I did, and an e-mail confirmation was sent. The hotel receptionist, however, could not access e-mails. Fortunately, the next day, we were able to check in.
Our room was not as clean as one would expect. The worn carpeting and the hard floor were soiled. The kitchenette had no dishes, flatware, etc., so it was useless. A light was burned out, and no one could replace it. There was no drain in the bathroom sink. I needed ice for a cold drink, but there was no ice machine, nor had anyone filled the ice cube trays in the refrigerator.
The breakfast was a prepackaged muffin or oatmeal. This was disappointing. I would definitely avoid this hotel!

Roaches roaches and more roaches.
DO NOT COME HERE!!! This place is filled with all sizes of cockroaches. So more then one generation of roaches. They also over charge you and they took payments from me but because it didnt clear on their end charged my card again without my consent. The manager never talks like a normal human being she just makes situations even worse with her attitude. Her name is Juanita. If you can avoid her at all costs. Dont know why anyone would put her in charge. The pic was just one of the roaches i seen. They were all in the cabinets too.

Staff is very nice and the hotel is very clean there is however a little bug problem that hopefully is getting taken care of but we moved rooms and havent seen once since. Still terrified of the thought of bugs getting into our things so were taking precautions. Would be an amazing hotel otherwise.

Ok for an overnight stay
I rode a bike from NY and for an overnight stay it was ok in the morning if you want extra towels you have to bring old ones to get fresh ones, it’s OK for an overnight for the money.

They refused to check my employee in because it was past midnight and the system was down so they turned her away., she was able to find a room at 3am after 2 hours of looking because hotels around the area were full. I am requesting a full refund for the hotel or will dispute the entire charge with American Express. My employee Miranda Meyna didn’t get any rest because she only slept 2 hours after all the inconvenience that they caused her.

So many problems
I did not enjoy anything about this experience here. Primarily because i never stayed here and have been charged by hotels.com for a stay i never reserved. Yet a wk later i am still getting a run around about my refund after i have done everything i was asked to. I can gaurantee using hotels.com, Expedia, or extended stay is not something i will do when i plan my next trip. Considering it has taken this long to reverse charges that never should have happened in the first place.

You get what you pay for.
They need more than 1 person there, so that guest don't have to wait to check in. There's only 1 elevator that I saw and it's very slow. The bedroom wasn't clean properly there was food behind the nightstand, the remote was sticky with food and other stains, the face towel had blue substance on it and 2 of the dry off towels had hair on them. Under the vanity in the bathroom was really dusty. I've stayed at a Extended Stay before, but this was by far the worse there was.

Bad, don t use this hotel.
I was relocated to another place, then charged twice, and more than I was quoted .
Then it takes days to be paid back the bait and switched quote.
Do not trust the night audit here .
I told him I paid and he charged anyway.

I saw some kind of bug when I sent to turn air conditioner down so I ended up not turning it down and sleeping with all the lights on. I didn't feel comfortable after seeing that.
I was disappointed that they had run out of grab and go items (hot chocolate and muffins) by 8:30am, there were just 6 granola bars left.

Waste of money more than a night get away.
I checked in at the hotel get in the room and come to find out the a/c didn't work. Then there was no remote to the TV and I ended up getting one and that one didn't work either. There was people smoking right outside my window walking back and forth in the parking lot and it made me feel uncomfortable by all means. Especially with the a/c system. I told front desk and they said there's nothing they can do about it. It was more of a waste of money more than a night get away.

DISAPPOINTED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
I was extremely disappointed with the standard and condition of the room. There were hairs on both bed linens, as if the sheets hadn’t even been changed. The tub was filthy and didn’t drain properly. The water came out of both the faucet and the shower when the shower was on! The shower head sprayed water everywhere and water was up to my ankles when showering. The room was not properly stocked with towels and when I went back to get more, I was given a hard time. The staff lacks professionalism and can be short/dismissive. I arrived about 30 minutes early for check-in and she was accommodating, but outside of that, I was not satisfied with the stay! I WILL NOT use Extended Stay locations for lodging going forward regardless of how long the visit. It was HORRIBLE!

Stay was too short to really evaluate..we needed a room they had one available and I booked it..we went to sleep, that was ok..nothing like sleeping in your own bed..woke up to a continental breakfast which consists of nature valley bars and coffee..then we left..all in all it was good

The only two things I liked was the location and the price I paid.
Check-in took longer than normal as there was nobody at the front desk when I arrived (10pm) and when I used the phone in the main lobby to call for assistance (there was a sign that said to do so) nobody answered. The young lady finally came after about ten minutes. Not a long wait but still.
Extended Stay offers a full kitchen but no cooking utensils, plates, cups, silverware, etc.
The room was clean but the vent in the bathroom was dirty with excessive dust coming out of it.
There was a few dogs near my room as I could hear them bark which wasn’t a huge problem but there was dog feces in the stairwell for two days before someone finally picked it up.
You get what you pay for and I will probably not stay here again.

Would never stay here again. The kitchen in the room is very old and if you want to use dishes you have to request them. Supposed to be non smoking but while walking down the hallway there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke and also marijuana. Also the night before we checked in we were told about the police running down the hallway in the middle of the night. Would not let you check in even 2 minutes before 3 pm even though rooms are available. Totally trashy people stay at this hotel! This is supposed to be Downers Grove where I lived over 30 years. Needs major refurbishing both building and management.

Dirty, rude, and robbed
This hotel absolutely sucked. There was hair in the bath tub, in the sheets, dirty socks under the bathroom sink. The light fixtures were flickering in the room. The hotel staff tried to tell me my room, that booked well enough in advance was no longer available because it was "first come first serve". Even though I booked several weeks in advance. The hotel turn around and charged my card for their broken light fixtures that were already broken and flickering when we came in. They refused to refund me my money. NEVER will I stay at an EXTENDED STAY again. I will NEVER recommend one either. I highly suggest you choose a different hotel than this one.

My room is great. The grounds are great. The location is great. Some of the staff are great, but 1 or 2 are ambivalent. My television is the pits. The picture is really dark and wavy. Breakfast is a joke.

Not what I expected considering how nice the surrounding area is. Room was creepy, bleach stains on carpet, cabinets yellowed, TV was horrible, couldn't get all channels without lines running through, it was old and had a bad connection. Didn't feel safe, afraid of animals in lobby, a certain german shepard trying to get to me and owner had to pull tight on leash. All in all this whole placed depressed me.
