The room was clean, decent cable and nice bed. It has a full kitchen but absolutely NOTHING in it. Not as much as a plastic drinking cup. What is the point of the kitchen if you can’t use it? No coffee or coffee maker. You can request a plate, a cup, and some utensils from the front desk, if you want anything more you have to pay. It was extremely disappointing. What a point of staying in a place that has a kitchen when you are unable to prepare food in it? They may as well just give you a little refrigerator and a microwave and call it a day.

Not a Positive Review
I stayed a week Checking in after midnight got me a room that seemingly has not been cleaned. Dirt on floor, hair in shower, fingernail clipping all over. Yuck. The room had no hangers or anything whatsoever for the kitchen. Counter trim was peeling away. Still gave three stars for friendly, helpful, and efficient staff, location, price, and most important and hard to find item, a comfortable reclining chair, worth at least a star all by itself. This place seriously needs to be remodeled. Old and tired.

This property provided us a room without a working toliet and when we informed management we were told they knew it but "it is what it is".. It appeared people lived in the hotel. The upstairs room water leaked into the shower the kitchette was dirty and worn and had food stuck inside of the cabinets, garbage was never emptied from previous stay. HORRIFYING

Too Tired to Cancel & Get back in Chicago Traffic
The receptionist was outstanding, she helped me with directions to food venues. Loved the Halloween decorations for the season in the reception area. The scary part was the refrigerator inside my room along with the two tiny roaches. I didn't bother opening the refrigerator. It was late when I checked in. No option to cancel and go somewhere else for the night. I inspected the bed, it was clean. In fact everything else was clean, the dirty refrigerator cause mayor concerns which cause the room to smell. I turn on the air (fan) and dial turn to non stop and if i slept facing the air conditioner the smell wasn't too terrible. When i woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom that's when I noticed the roache/s in the bathroom counter and on the kitchen counter. It was late and I was extremely tire, I had been in my car for over 5 hours. I was glad I was out first thing in the morning. Once home I made sure I left my belongings outside to air out in case I brought critters home and Lysol and antibacterial for safe measure. I didn't complain at site. Would they care? Would they give me refund?

This property was ok it’s not bad. I had a roach in my room and i had to search my whole room for more before eating and sleeping. The keys to the room didn’t want to work and it took a couple of mins before we got in smh but other then that it was ok

Quiet and affordable. Everything was in working order, like air conditioning etc. Room was fresh and in good shape.
On checking in I was disappointed that the clerk was rude. She didn't look up during my interaction with her, as if I wasn’t worth the trouble.

What to love: The staff is great - the front desk person helped us upgrade to a 2 bedroom with no hassle whatsoever. Love the big frig and kitchen area. Plenty of room in the sleeping area and no carpet. Beds/pillows were comfy, AC was quiet, and everything you need is close by - restaurants, gas, grocery. Easy access to Chicago via I-290 E - ramp was about a mile from the hotel. Morning coffee at the breakfast bar was good to go with oversized cups and lids.
Needs improvement. We did 'rinse' the floor with rags I had packed from moving out of my apartment (the cleaner they used left a sticky residue). The semi traffic from the highway woke us up a couple of times - price you pay for convenience. No protein selections at breakfast but not expected since it is a grab and go.

Receptionist at the time of our arrival was excellent service very nice, we made a mistake on our reservation instead of 4 nights we only made the reservation for 3 night not aware of our mistake the manager call me and she was very rude telling me to get our stuff our of our room without giving me a chance to express our situation, she was rude uneducated she have no skills at all all to be a manager

Floors in entire room were sticky & dirty. No housekeeping service. I didn’t ask, but knew they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. Worst part was there was barely ever anyone at the front desk. No staff at all at front desk from 11pm-7am, so if you need anything during that time, you’re screwed. Could hardly get ahold of anyone at the front desk during my 5 night stay because the attendants were doubling front desk & housekeeping, which is a huge shame on the owners & management to make their front desk staff also clean rooms while attending the desk. Awful management & ownership, I’m sure. Your guests & staff members should be your priority. Period! Breakfast ended at different times each morning so we could never get coffee except for the last night when we woke up. Only grab & go options were muffins and granola bars. WiFi sucked too and you had to pay $1.99 per hour or $5.99 for better WiFi. Would expect more overall from an extended stay property, but considering the price, it was decent. Just make sure you have enough money to spend on breakfast every morning or get pans from the desk, which doesn’t come with dish soap & a sponge btw.

Tub had hair in it still and mirror had toothpaste on it in room my daughter was in. Needless to say she didn’t take a shower there. Also, suggest new floor cleaner or area rugs because the floors were sticky so I left my flip flops on the entire time in the room. Daughters bed squeaked when moving, sounded like one of bed frame slats was broke. If the hotel company can’t maintain enough staff (only front desk person who can’t do it all!!) then prices should reflect rooms!!

Not the worst room I've ever had, but I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. Halllways are loud (you can clearly hear people in their rooms as you walk by. ) The room had a lingering Marijuana smell upon entering with windows open and fan running. Room felt kind of run down and in need of a deep clean. My shoes stuck to the floor as i walked, so I just left my shoes on until i went to sleep. Bathroom had small black hairs everywhere. Just didn't feel very clean or welcoming at all.
Without being entirely negative, I will say that the best part of my stay was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was very nice!

Pamela at the front desk was great. When I arrived, she told me there were no rooms available. She looked in the computer, found a potential available room. Went to the room to ensure it was empty and clean. She went above and beyond to find a room for me. After a long day of travel issues, Pam was definitely a bright spot in my day.

This property was not cleaned had a smell and old towels in the room I told the staff there who told me that they can not remove the stuff I would like a full refund because I was not able to get another room or any type of inconvenience service this was a horrible booking

Same Problems, Different Day
We stayed here for 5 days and overall it was not good. I'm giving two stars only because most of the staff was friendly. I would say at least it was cheap but it wasn't really cheap either. As soon as we walked in there was a weird chemical smell in our room that never really went away all week. The toilet was dirty when we came in which was a red flag, but housekeeping promptly came and cleaned it after we complained. The kitchenette was dated; it looked like some of the appliances came from a garage sale. There was no carpet, just fake wood tile. No coffee maker in the room, only breakfast was granola bars and packaged muffins. The shower only produced tepid water even on high, and there was some kind of sticky goo on our bathroom wall. There was constant noise, dogs barking, and people yelling. It's in an industrial complex with a bunch of car dealerships and a repair shop next door. There is really nothing good around there (such as restaurants) and the traffic was a nightmare. Overall the staff was nice except for the surly guy who checked us in. Judging by the age of some of these reviews it has of been of poor condition for some time. We will not be staying here again.

Highly disappointed
I arrived at my room late. So completely exhausted looking to take a shower and go to sleep. Upon enter the room I noticed that the floor needed sweeping, quickly discovered that it needs to be mopped as well as there was clearly something spilled under the desk along side the bed. I went to take a shower and discovered that it needed to be cleaned as well. There was grime and hair all over the shower wall. Hire better staff and follow through on your so called 10 point inspection that states a manager is supposed to review the room after being cleaned.

While the staff was friendly, the room we had (room 325) was not clean. When you entered the room, a strong draft of an old furniture smell would hit your nose. It smelled like hydrogen peroxide mixed with lemon scented cleaner...exactly like how old, wet, wooden furniture would smell if it were in a house with a hundred cats. The window was open the entire time we were in the room. Dust was on all the furniture. I had to turn off the AC to stop it from getting everywhere. The floor had clearly not been vacuumed. Things I found on the ground was a Euro coin, an old seed shell from outside, a questionable piece of dried "mud" that looked like animal poo, and hair. I wore my shoes the entire time we were in there. I was scared to look in the sheets, but thankfully those had been changed. The bathroom was not as dirty as the rest of the room...it had at least been wiped down, minus a strand of hair on the vanity. Towels seemed to be clean, but I don't know how long they had been sitting there. The one good thing about this place is that when the bathroom door is closed, you can barely hear the fan from the outside. Beds were okay to sleep in but not the comfiest. The guest above us played loud bass music until 2am. There were also guests that had dogs and you would hear the barking randomly...those rooms had little signs on the door that would show it was a pet-friendly room. The breakfast was grab-and-go as advertised. Overall, I will not be coming back to this specific hotel.

The room key did not work on the second night. I was back from a party around midnight and the key was nice working. I found no one in the front desk . I got panicked. After some time I searched and found the property phone number and called them. Then there was someone in the front desk and she revalidated my key. I asked what happened and there was no explanation. She said sometimes the key doesn't work! There was not even an apology. Being locked out in the midnight in a new city with no guidance or a bell outside the front desk was not a pleasant experience. I may not book extended stay America anymore.

disappointing, below average experience
the exterior card reader to enter the building from the side took a frustrating amount of tries to actually read the keycard.
the whole place smelled like something totally different every time I entered the hallways
in the room, many lights didn’t work, the mattress was thin, uncomfortable, and a Full-size instead of the advertised Queen-size for the room I booked, which meant the sleeping experience overall was as difficult as it was uncomfortable for someone well over 6 feet tall like myself. If I had known it wouldn’t actually be a queen bed I wouldn’t have booked the room to begin with.

Smells terrible
Front desk was very helpful and courteous. Room appeared clean but badly run down with shabby furniture. Still, it would've been comfortable except it smelled terrible! Like bad breath mixed with old curry. There was no getting used to it either - couldn't sleep because it kept waking me up. I give it a 3/10.

After our previous booking (not w/ Expedia), we were pretty skeptical about considering cheap options, but it was needed for only one night as my job was having a company party in the area. We checked in around 10PM, and we we’re welcomed by a polite guy. Walked us through everything, let us know wifi credentials and “grab-n-go” breakfast times. Again, price considering, we weren’t expecting the best room, but we were surprised. The kitchen was in great condition, and while it wasn’t used, it still set the scene for a very cozy “home.” I wouldn’t mind spending extra days there if needed. The bed and shower were clean, no weird smells, and overall very comfortable. The parking lot was packed and we were worried about noise, but honestly you couldn’t even tell. The area is in a manufacturing area, with lots of huge buildings. I work in the area, so I was familiar with it. But again, 15/10 would stay again!!

Not terrible. The room is a bit run down, walls scratched up and could use new paint. Check in not until 3 pm, which isn’t helpful. This place is in the middle of an industrial area with nothing to do around it. No places to eat and not a store close by. No USB chargers, so bring a cube.

Two day stay in Elmhurst.
It is an older hotel. The room was clean and looks nice but could use a facelift. The location was good for the event I was attending. The breakfast was just packaged food in a rack in the lobby. The price was good and the area is quite.

No room service & Uncomfortable Stay
Room service was only provided for those who stayed over a week. So trash would pile and if needed fresh towels needed to bring them to exchange them at the front desk. Child had an accident and I informed the front desk that the linens needed to be changed and came back to the room late in the evening to find nothing done. I then took the sheets to the front desk thinking this was the procedure and then got down there and the laundry was not ready (short staffed), so we only had a fitted sheet and one blanket ready and no wash cloths ready to use the remainder of our stay. It was very uncomfortable. I’ve never heard of such a policy for housekeeping and such. The rates were too high for me to make an entire bed and transport trash and linens from the room.

Not worth the cost
This place is dated. The room was not clean and had a smell. The toilet clogged night 1. Was forced to change room since they don’t have maintenance. The second room was also dirty. Not impressed with the price I paid.

Not a hotel for non-smokers
The room was smelly and made worse by the fact that guests were smoking in their rooms, and the smoke carried to my room through the bathroom ventilation. The only way I was able to sleep at night was with the windows open, the bathroom door closed with the exhaust fan running the whole night, and a towel blocking the gap below the bathroom door. Definitely not a place to stay if you are a non-smoker and don't want to be exposed to second hand smoke!

Good room with enough appliances.
Good experience at this location even when I could not open my door. The key card did not work due to low battery on the door knob. It was quickly corrected and I was able to enter the room. The room was clean and a decent size with a kitchen, refrigerator & microwave.

Everything was great for what I needed with my trip. My only complaint is that the room did not have easy to access electrical outlets besides one by the stove. All the rest were behind or under furniture. So make sure you bring longer charging cords.

(1) wash basin has been blocked & water doesn’t go. I asked front desk to get plunger and he said it won’t available until morning.(2) if we need help at front desk then we have to wait 10-15 mins. (3)room door lock was Brocken so, if we don’t have inside the room then lock self at outside and then go to front desk and wait to for them to come to desk for more than 10 mins. (3$ room is sticking with smoking smell.

ok.. lack of coffee is an issue, its only available for a three hr period ..worst coffee taste ever,,, some generic brand that has an aftertaste which means you have to fill the cup with creamer to avoid the taste... No EV charging... not smoke free. the elevator , hallways reek of cigarettes smoke.. entrance to hotel is a cigarette hell, smokers always gathered at entrance encircling guest with snoke as we walk-in and out..... but the employees are Excellent and they only have what resources the corp. allows not their fault, corp is cheap with coffee and allows low class cigarette smoking entrance and environment

The staff at the night shift was rude, the breakfast advertise consisted of hot water, granola bar, and instant packet of oatmeal. The staff in the morning was nice and shared food from the employee room the moment she acknowledge the lock of “breakfast”. I aim to take a shower but there was pubic hair in the shower. I am deeply dissatisfied with this hotel. Not worth my money. In addition the ac was super noisy.
