Just before 5am after loud night, i was awokin to someone pushing my window open and pulling my blinds aside. (I believe they thought someone else lived there and i do not think they would of if they knew i was their. And im sure they felt really bad. It was ok.) I ended up leaving because it was time to head out. It wasnt because someone unknowingly broke in. Although that would of made me very uncomfortable if i believed they had bad intentions. I saw their faces iand i know they felt bad. Overall. The people are nice but not used to out of towners staying in the area and they have a norm that gets thrown off when people not part of the norm disrupt their norm. Family next door was very nice and helped me. Thank you, you were nice. Family enviroment is a plus, conditions is a negative. Only stay if ur confortable with people.

Property is in a deplorable condition and needs tons of repairs and maintenance.
The room was not swept and you could see all sort of particles on the floor. Nonetheless the fridge and the stove were in good working condition, check in process was pretty easy and the staff was very friendly and polite!

Clean inside, dirty outside
This is an extended stay property, hotel guests are mixed in with "residents." Walkways & parking lot was scattered with spills & trash.
*Inside the room was clean & no bugs.*

Good check staff and the room was clean, but the facilities are in dire need of upgrade. The refrigerator didn't work well, the bed mattress was broken, the shower was broken, and the room smelled like smoke. Not like one guest smoked in it once but like a family of smokers lived in it for a week.

This hotel used to be part of a national chain of hotels. Its infrastructure has suffered over the years. Although the room was clean, I found the kitchen without the necessary cooking and eating utensils previously found at this establishment.

The room was the most disgusting I have ever stayed in. Paint was peeling, cabinets were warped and cracking, bathtub base was pulling away from the tub, counter was stained, sheets were stained, no soap in the bathroom, and no cups or glasses to drink from. I was afraid to drink, take a shower, or sleep. Also, there was no safety lock on the door. If it wasn’t so late, I would have left, eaten the loss, and gone elsewhere. I don’t know how much of this is a function of poor Red Roof oversight, or the dumpster fire that is Spartanburg. But bottom line is Expedia should be embarrassed to offer this property.

I did not enjoy this hotel at all. The office closes early so I couldn't even complain to the front office about my heat not working and the fact it's just as cold in the room as it is outside. I only seen one cockroach coming out of our bathroom vent so it wasn't like it was an infestation but I still seen a bug and my heat didn't work all weekend.

Worst place that I ever stayed in my life. Terrible odor that never be cleaned by ventilation with opening door. Dirty wooden floor is sticky. Dump of trash bags in stair way. Only cool air from the heater. Couldn't claim due to the reception hour only 11AM~7PM. Even a smoking homeless found in stairwell in the morning around 9AM. Thank God that we had hot water at least !!!

The property needs some maintainable on the outside, and some more cleanliness, there where bugs crawling on the floor.
The front desk lady communicate to me next day, that many public workers were staying there due to a highway construction around the block. It might have deteriorate The appearance 😬 on the outside look. But overall, air conditioner and else worked accordingly as mention

See You Again
My husband and I had an amazing stay. The room was cozy and clean. The staff was incredible. Only downside is that the bed was small (I’m plus size). Even so, we have it two thumbs up

The price was very competitive, but the proprty was simply a disgrace. The place is dirty. There is no one even trying to control the people in the hotel whether customers or their guests, driving through the parking lots at all hours with music blasting.

Huge piles of trash everywhere. No non-smoking rooms. No towels. No amenities as advertised. Even the desk clerk said to park on the safer side of the building, the other side is not safe. The only thing good about my stay is that the room had heat.

It was good until some people were talking loud and playing music loud at 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Its bad when people don't show no respect or courtesy towards guess that's trying to relax and have some peace and quiet

Wow… I guess I should have known better for the price. Between the “deal” happening outside our door, the cigarette burns in the bed sheets, and crack heads roaming the parking lot… I’d say this tops my worst hotel experiences. At least it was a good story. Needless to say, within minutes of our arrival we left to the nearby holiday inn.

Said couldnt check in till 3 but yet someone else just came in and got a room at 1130am no questions asked and when confronted management tgey said well im cancelling ur stay so have a good day. Didnt have a place to stay then.

The place was horrible! The management treated you like dirt. Washer and dryers didnt work. The cost was outrageous for that dump. You had to park your car a certain way. I was sitting on the step to get some air, I was told I couldnt do that! Unbelievable.

Only thing liked was that we did not get robbed. Hated the smoke smell and cigarette burns on bed covers in what was to be a non-smoking room. Room phone did not work and office hours only 11a-7pm.

This property is not representative of the pictures on Expedia and SHOULD NOT be offered to the public. It is more of a longer term very low income rental property. From the outside it appeared that people were staying long term with chairs outside the doors with stuffed animals sitting in them. I stepped one foot on the room and said NO WAY were we staying here. YUCK

I would not go back. This is 100% a low income extended stay for basically the homeless. The room had nice brown Smokey cobwebs, the plugs in the wall had no covers, nothing but homeless people and trash outside the rooms. DO NOT STAY HERE

The pictures that are shown on Expedia or nothing like what the property looks like or the rooms. This trip was for me and my daughter for her dance competition and when we arrived at the hotel room it did not look like the picture and it smelled like cigarette smoke real bad. The floor was dirty the bed had hair on it and the bathroom smelled of urine. Also this is not a family friendly hotel this is more of like a one night stop for a good time there was also people outside smoking marijuana and blasting music with their hotel room door open.

Do not book here!
This is not the place to stay, it’s dirty and disgusting and very unsafe. The staff is horrific and rude. If you want bed bugs and ringworm this is the place for you. When I got there I explained that how I don’t feel safe and the area is disgusting, the man at the front desk did not care. He said “oh well” so I left and stayed at a different hotel that night. The woman working at night said since I didn’t touch the room I could be refunded so when I called on Monday morning the man at the front desk got extremely hostile and disrespectful over the phone. Horrible place to book for anything.

bad experience all around
communication was awful. tried to modify my room from a queen to 2 double beds. Tried contacting the hotel, they said to go through hotels.com. Hotels.com could not modify the reservation. Tried going through Red Roof 1-800 number and they could not reach the property. Was told it would be possible to modify at the property. That didn't happen either. Cigarette burns on the bedding. WILL NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY AGAIN.

The commutation before going to the hotel was great the room condition was horrible there was a smoke detector missing the floor was dirty the bed sheets where dirty I had to go out and buy some sheets the room had Nate bugs and there was no one to bring new towels for the each day I used the one set I had to provide my own bath towels The bathroom was dirty , over all my stay was horrible I was visiting bc I was helping at a local elderly home as a nurse .

It was great, I'm in Spartanburg for work in a Covid 19 unit because their short of people. But the hotel was very understanding of my hours, I get off at 11 pm so I had a late check in but it went smoothly and I had a chance to rest. Not to mention I live 3 hours away.

Less than impressed
Room was clean, but so much wax on the floor that my feet were slimy.
The front door connected at the knob, but bowed out at the top and bottom, so I didn't feel like it was shut.
The other tenants were loud and played music until 2 am, then started again at 7 am.
The office was only open from 11 am-7pm. They denied my request to check in 2 hours early, and were not very professional or nice about it.

Very disappointed about this hotel we try to get a quick place to stay one nigh 3 rooms
But we know the hotel its cheap
but the place its in a really bad conditions one of the kids rooms smells like cigarettes really bad and bathroom stinks we check in and 10min after we cancel i hope the owner of this place spend. Money on repaint the whole inside and needs more upgrade on everything sorry but i never put bad reviews but people's has to know before do reservations...

Bugs the office was closed had to call someone for help that was actually quick but still a pain the bed is a rock there is old broken furniture in the room I felt nasty we ended up just leaving. Fire alarm didn’t work the sprinkler system in case of fire was taped in the ceiling.

There were a few roaches, but every time we saw them, it was too late to go to the front desk/office or it was too late in our stay to be worth it to change rooms. The toilet sometimes took hours to be able to flush it, even after jiggling the handle. Overall, however, the bed was not amazingly comfortable but comfortable enough for me to fall asleep. The motel was very close to a good grocery store and a large variety of fast food restaurants. The man at the front desk was very friendly and funny, despite not feeling too well. I'd probably stay here again, honestly, but I'd check for bugs and bathroom issues directly after check-in. The only other issue was we had a check-out date of Sunday and the office was closed on Sundays. We weren't informed of correct check-out procedures for Sundays, so we had to just slide our room keys under the office door, as we've done at other motels. Hopefully, we don't get charged for staying late or "keeping" the keys.

We booked a nonsmoking room, but when we walked in, it was clear that this was not the case. My brother and I both have asthma, and it was a very uncomfortable bed-his bed had blood and burn marks on the comforter. Needless to say, we barely slept and woke up miserable. Instead of staying two nights, we checked out early and drove 8 hours back home the next day.

Roaches! Stay Away! Rude! Disrespectful!
This hotel is infested with roaches, reeked of cigarette smoke, the television didn’t work, and I had to have my shower fixed. Once I discovered a roach IN THE BED WITH ME, I promptly left and checked into an adjacent hotel. Later I contacted H.com and Red Roof Inn to request a refund. The management of this property was belligerent, rude, and disrespectful about my claim, despite other similar reviews. In short, it’s neither worth the money nor the frustration. Either keep driving or stay somewhere suitable for people to live in.

Unfounded and rude Behavior
Well it was good until today when i told them i was checking out when they where at my door and said i would not be staying another night i was told that my husband was not allowed there and due to that YOU ARE THE PEOPLE YOU ARE AROUND!!! That i was nit allowed back there. I just think that is crazy, then i was respectful to him and he still call the cops on us and then they followed us to the next's motel and in dooing so we was told we couldn't stay there that is really messed up.

Paid $ - Received nothing in return!
I spoke to the front desk of the hotel after I made reservations to let them know I would be showing up after midnight. She told me no problem, someone would be there to let me into my room as I’ve already paid. There was no one there! No one would answer the after hours phone which had a full VM! I asked for a refund. I was told they would get back to me in 48 hrs. It’s been 12 days! Where’s my refund? They also hung up on me twice!

*Housekeeping didn't knock or check on room until day before checkout on a 7 day booking.
*They did not provide linens until day before checkout on a one week stay.
*Did not provide toilet paper even upon request, they say have to be there for 7 days, even tho i have booked and paid for 7 day stay.
*Staff was not friendly, barely even approachable.

Average kitchenette stay.
It was ok. The office is only attended from 11-7pm, this was not mentioned when I booked. The place was fine, just a lot of trash everywhere and the kind of people that throw trash everywhere.

It was a clean property and was as posted. Just a suggestion for more towels- 2 towels for 2 females isn’t a lot. Also our fridge froze everything. But overall- well worth the cost.

DONT NOT BOOK! Check in time was at 4pm we arrive at 5pm and the rude front desk staff told me my room was not ready, I asked when would it be ready and she carelessly said she don’t know and what I come back, didn’t offer any money to be taken off I called 15 mins later and my room still wasn’t ready and she left and closed the office but already took the money off my card without me signing any papers. The area was very ghetto and dirty, kids on top of cars and a lot of people outside of the hotel smoking and drinking. The front office was very dirty, and she would not give us any towels, lights in our room didn’t work, and people were arguing and loud talking all night outside of the room. No blow dryer or iron. The only thing comfortable in the room was the bed. Save your time and do not book here, pay a little more for a decent hotel with better staff and customer service HORRIBLE PLACE

Maybe someone on my end didn't do the homework but i was unaware this place didn't do a room clean during the next day. No sheet change..no towel change..no emptying of the trash..etc. Maybe its not part of the stay. But a 2 day stay and charge...... Just didnt seem right but again maybe thats part of the agreement.

El lugar es HERMOSO sin embargo tenía un mal olor. Como de humedad. Tuve que salir a comprar velas aromáticas e incienso para poder contrarrestar el mal olor.... También el lugar en la oficina cierran en la noche y el Domingo todo el día por lo cual entiendo que no hay un servicio adecuado. El check out el Domingo se hizo echando las llaves en un buzón...

Horrible Stay Away
Everything was horrible. The room was a mess when we got there. Water was flooding the floor in the bathroom and kitchen area. There were dirty towels stacked up in the bathtub. More in the middle of the floor of the room as well as a molded shower curtain on the floor of the main living space. The smell of the room was awful. Some kind of cleaner or something they used on all the surfaces was making our hands, clothes and anything that touched it turn blackish brown. Not a good place to stay at all!!! Our room even had water coming thru under the door Sunday night during the storm.

Demeanor of people checking me in was not professional. Slouchy “residents” hanging out in lobby. Check in clerk was interrupted in her duties by someone digging through her purse looking for cigarettes.
I was given two key cards upon check in, but one did not work. The room was smaller than portrayed on the website. Pubic hair on toilet, food specks on stove, and dried toothpaste on bathroom sink indicated it was not cleaned properly. I bought bleach spray and cleaned it myself!!
Both key cards failed to work on last night of my stay. I had to call the number on the front door of the office for someone to let me in my room. The man who answered sounded drunk or sleepy and said he would be down “in a minute.” I waited for 10 minutes and called again. He then told me that he was at the store and would be there within 2 minutes. 5 minutes passed and a woman showed up with a master key, and told me the man was sick.
I don’t recommend staying here. I’ll never stay here again. If I hadn’t booked through Expedia, my charge would have been $20 more for my stay. I would have paid more for a Comfort Inn, in hindsight.

Horrible! They have roaches! Between the roaches and people making noise all times of the night very uncomfortable! Went to buy cleaning supplies to clean up myself! Only stayed one out of two nights. Didn't sleep a wink!

I stayed in room 201. The heater didn't work and there were no extra blankets in the room. There was no pen or pad for notes in the room. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. There was no clock. The sink moved, it was not bolted down. There were no extra pillows, There was no bag for dirty clothes. The office didn't open until 11:00 am and when called the phone number on the office door, I didn't get an answer and the voice mail was full.

Stay Away from this Place.
This place was horrible. The toilet seat was broken. The shower was unclean and had hair in it. The sink had cigarette burns on it. There was a cabinet falling apart. The bed was super lumpy. I will never stay here again. This seems to be a long term stay facility and people where slamming doors at all hours of the night.
