Placed in an unclean room. And by unclean I mean covers just pulled up. Bed disheveled. Upon further exploration, to be sure it was not cleaned, discovered giant hairball in drain of bathroom and empty shampoo containers on ground of shower. Yep. True. And yep. GROSS!! NEVER EVER AGAIN FOR THIS CHAIN!! Asked for refund which I got and we left immediately.

Nicest place we stayed at in our way back to Canada from Florida. Updated, clean, very comfortable.
The only negative was the breakfast. Way too much salt !!! Please tone it down!!

Room was clean although the “nooks and crannies” could use some help. The breakfast was eh- a big latte cappuccino machine with like 10 options was available but only decaf coffee in a carafe and no hot tea available. They were out. Really? Front desk people were great. Needed a key reprogrammed , no problem.

Would stay again
Close to highway so you do hear traffic but not horrible. The person working the breakfast was more into her phone than keeping things stocked but did jump up to help when asked. The front desk staff was wonderful and very helpful

Hotel needs lots of work. Water at sink was really hot and dripped underneath. View from window was a roof. Not even a rooftop. Some of breakfast was good some stale and bad. Will never stay again.

St.Augustine trip
We stayed here last year around the same time& really liked it. Both times were overnite stays on our way to our destination. The Plankowner Brewery is in walking distance& well worth your time to check out. Have live music on Saturday evenings . The food & drinks are good too!

I have stayed at this hotel several times its always clean. The only problem i have is if you get an odd rm. # and you need it quiet at night to sleep it the hwy. Side of the hotel. But other than that the hotel is and has always been a clean affordable friendly place. Once in a while its a bit too busy.

Terrifying experience, not solo woman friendly
Other stays have been great. 2nd night of this one was terrible. Was awoken about midnight by a man looking/sounding like he was trying to break into the room across the hall, it was incredibly loud and terrifying. He was called away by some woman by the elevators who said something I couldn’t hear. Even a baby down the hall had started crying from the ruckus.
I called the front desk, and the man from the hallway answered. I said “I think someone was trying to get into the room across the hall from me,” to which he said “yeah that was me.” I said that it was very loud and very late and he again just said it was him. That was it. No apology, no brief explanation, nothing.
I don’t see any reason why an employee would need to attempt to force themself into a room at midnight, or if there was a valid reason then why they can’t say more when a scared customer calls to report it.

We’ve stayed here several times and it is very nice. However, this time they charged me a $50 incidentals fee (Never charged to me before) and told me it will take 5-7 business days to take off! There is practically nothing to buy there other than a candy bar and a drink and in have never used this service. 5-7 days reversal is ridiculous.

The bed linens were not clean. I had to change the linens on the bed. The hall had a wet paint smell. Very noisy both inside and outside the building. There were teenagers cruising the parking lot as we were checking in. I told the desk clerk, but I do not think she did anything about it. We had to wait at check-in while the desk clerk finished a task she was working on and while she took 4 phone calls. She made it very clear through her actions that we were not important to her or the hotel.

Non smoking room had excessive cigarette smoke odors. Mattresses on beds were far too hard for people with back problems. Street noise and loud voices in hallways after midnight kept all five people in our party from adequate rest. Will not choose or recommend Best Western to anyone in the future.

Need to be cleaned better..
When we arrived and opened the door to the room a bug ran across the floor. I had to kill it. the next morning when we went to take a shower the stall had hair in it on the walls and the floor. Not a very good cleaning job if you ask me.

Nightmare stay
Terrible stay. Smelled like smoke. No door handles on bathroom, missing refrigerator, double booked so someone tried to walk into our room while we were trying to rest. Tried to switch rooms but they stated they were all booked up. Incompetent guest service and management.

The truth
I have stayed at this hotel several times. I never have any problems with the room itself , but if you have problems with sleeping because of noises you need to pick a room with an even # or the Interstate will keep you awake.
The staff is vary friendly they help with anything you may need.

Nice place.

It could have been better we moved twice the first room had a light problem in the bathroom it was flickering so bad you probably could get a seizure from it we asked if they could fix it they had no one there to fix it so they gave us another room and that room smelled of smoke and the floor in half the room up at the air conditioner was wet real bad it was late and we were tired accepted the wet floor and used half the room we only stayed a few hours so we felt with it.but at checkout we told the clerk she didn't apologize or really acknowledge what I had told her I believe I'll find another place to stay next time. The ratings were a little overboard but it is what it is

Room was clean and adequate. Breakfast was good.
However, the window shade would not roll down but halfway. After several attempts to roll it down, the whole shade fell down, like it had just been set in place instead of screwed on. Of course there was no maintenance available to fix it and no available room to move to. So I got a 3 foot ladder from the front desk and set the shade back in place fully extended to block the light coming in from the parking lot.
The door wouldn’t lock when it closed half the time. After several days we noticed the door was not hung level and pulling up on the door knob was required to get the door to close properly at times.
The shower door wouldn’t stay closed when using the shower. It would roll open about 2 inches.

Last time at this property
Was not pleased AT ALL with required $50 that was not listed on confirmation and one that is not credited back for 5-7 days after checkout. In my many past stays at this property over the years this had not happened before. If I had known about deposit I’d have easily booked elsewhere. Also, the wifi apparently did not extend to the room I was in. Not happy with that and should have been notified at checkin. Finally, when it came time for me to see about purchasing some antacid for my heartburn- the phone did not work to see if any was available causing me to go to front desk only to find no antacid in the very sparsely stocked toiletries.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on June 13th and 14th, which fell on a Tuesday and Wednesday. We were assigned Room 512, which had two separate beds. Unfortunately, during the night, my wife experienced multiple bites on her arms, resulting in welts the following day. It is her belief that these bites were caused by bed bugs.
Upon checking out, we promptly informed the staff on duty about the potential presence of bed bugs. However, despite our efforts, we did not receive any satisfactory response or assistance. In an attempt to address the issue further, I made a phone call two days later on Friday to speak with the manager. Subsequently, I left a voice message for the manager on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the following week.
Regrettably, I am disappointed to share that despite multiple attempts, I have not received a call or response from any manager regarding the situation in Room 512. This lack of communication and disregard for our concerns has left me greatly dissatisfied with the hotel's customer service. Consequently, I have decided not to stay at this establishment in the future, and I strongly encourage others to follow my recommendation.

We liked everything about this room. We were stuck in traffic for over 2 hours and didn’t get to the hotel until 2 am. We called ahead of time and let the hotel know what was going on. The only thing we didn’t like was that our room was on the side of the interstate and we could hear the interstate noise. Everything was great!!

The staff was very polite. It was very clean. It didn't feel family friendly. It seemed more like a place for travel workers. I wouldn't let my teenagers roam around the property alone.

I went to do laundry and the front desk lady was using the washer all night. I went around 8pm and kept checking and I gave up at midnight because she was still doing laundry. The staff there are rude and don’t really care about anything

The lady at the front desk when I checked out was rude and lied to my face when I asked for a receipt of my check out and deposit refund. I always get one when checking out bc my bank is so slow, I email them the deposit cleared sheet. When I asked the lady at the front desk she told me first they don't do that, then told me only her manager could do that an she would be gone for a week. Even though when checking in the man at the front desk told me the night before the manager would be there in the morning when I asked about a different matter apon my arrival. The hotel itself was wonderful just very rude and lazy woman working the front desk when I simply asked for a print out of my check out.

Walking into the hotel started my uneasiness. It was pretty warm and stuffy in the lobby. The elevator was pretty dirty with the floor being super sticky. The room layout was nice and the updated design was good. However the carpet was pretty stained and the shower had mildew issues. One of the comforters had a pink stain on the bottom as well.

Nice, safe location with plenty of parking and easy access to hotel, parking lot, and interstate. Hotel was quiet and beds were comfy.
Fridge didn’t work when we got there but staff was helpful in quickly resolving the matter.
Staff was super friendly. The ladies at the front desk were awesome and helpful, and one of the house keepers stopped to interact with my kids for a minute.
I booked my stay for next month as I was checking out. :)

Could have been better.
When I had a headache and realized I did not bring aspirin on my trip, I went to lobby to buy some. There was none. The only product on ‘medicine’ shelf was AlkaSeltzer. The worker at the desk, I believe Ashley, was more interested in reading something rather than acknowledging a guest looking for product. Having to get her attention I asked about aspirin and she simply said there was none and went back to reading. It wasn’t until checkout the next morning did I find out that it was ‘out of stock and awaiting delivery’. Also shower area grouting could use better cleaning or repair. Wasn’t sure what the black areas were.

Surprised at this BW. Bed and shower were unclean. Very late arrival and was placed in a room directly beside the ice maker. Customers started to use it on a regular basis around 6 am. No black out curtains. We could see the trees outside the room. Was too tired to request another room. We couldn't wait to check out. When i explained to the person at the desk during check out, she said i apologize. I said WOW..

Lovely front foyer. Good breakfast. Floors on upper floors haven’t been vacuumed in quite a while. Shower floor in our room was dirty. Shower also full of mildew. Guest bathrooms definitely to be refurbished.

One Issue
Always a great stay. The woman who ran the breakfast area that morning was a bit rude. Talking on the phone loud in the area where everyone was sitting. When the phone call ended, she then proceeded to watch videos on her phone while sitting. The volume did not decrease as father and daughter entered the room to get breakfast.

Clean and friendly hotel
The associate at the front desk was sweet and friendly. Check in was a breeze. Our room looked newly renovated. Front desk was helpful on offering to freeze our ice packs so we'd have them for tomorrow's travel. Breakfast was very good. The associate kept the coffee hot and filled. Nice selection to choose from whether you enjoy a hot or cold breakfast. A little noisy outside in the front of the hotel, but quieted down after 10pm or so.

Nice clean room - we had the two queen beds, and the room felt crowded - it had a desk with a nice office chair, but there was not room to walk past the end of the bed. A smaller chair would have made the room feel less crowded. Otherwise the room was great.

The doom of room 217
So we stayed from friday to Monday over the holiday weekend friday we got to the room first of all smelled musty and like smoke but we said what ever once the air was on Saturday morning we woke up and we wake up in a flooding room from the ac leaking everywhere told the giy at the front desk about it and got a and did nothing about it so delt with a wet room all weekend . Then when we checked on on monday they asked how the room was i told the lady at the desk about it and said why didnt they move us and was told no more rooms where open to move us she said sorry we will have maintenance check it out ill never stay here agian thats for sure and the lobby is very small for breakfast so if you eat there will be a line and no where to sit

The good: It's close to a strip of fast food places and right off the highway.
The bad: Like most things the hotel has taken a covid beating. From the looks of it, they don't have the staff to keep it up and it shows. Peeling paint, stains on the walls, broken windows. Just not the place I stayed in a few years ago.
