Nightmare
Dilapidated unfortunately management has not kept the place up to standards room was dirty and they are not repairing damaged surfaces, the curtains that decide the room from bathroom are gone, the tv is supposed to roll up and down doesn’t work, there is some rusty water marks on walls, the TV doesn’t have basic Chanel’s like CNN or other news channels, used to be my favorite hotel in the city! Not anymore

Every time we went to go into our room our cards did not work! We had to enter one main door to then access the two rooms we booked - very convenient actually (hotels version of connecting rooms) - but every time we went to enter the “main” door the card did not work - finally whomever that was working the main desk on our last night got it right!! Wish we had seen her our first night! Hotel itself was good, close to time square! Would stay again - this was our second visit to the hotel.

Disappointing service
We had high hopes for this hotel but the service fell flat. We had a few minor issues that should have been taken care of easily (no soap, no tv ect) but nothing was handled after multiple requests and were told different things by different staff. We had no soap the entirety of our stay and told multiple people about it, all ensured it would be filled but never was. We went to the front desk a dozen times during the trip just for nothing to happen and no one seemed to care or do anything about it, or care that we had to spend our trip at the front desk. The property sure looked nice but it was an amateur operation.

My stay here was great! Local to all the touristy locations I wanted to visit.
Definitely make sure you bring water up, I went to the vending machines a couple of times and it was completely empty and the ice and water machine on our floor was out of order.
Other than that everything was perfect.

Three dollars per item is charged for several hours storage of small luggages.. As a guest, i surely will tip the staff if hotel provides the service for free. It makes guests feel the service is poor.

Mold in the bathroom it felt like a prison bathroom. Room was extremely small and beds were so uncomfortable. It was blocks away from time square. I tried to cancel 2 different times while I was there and was told no refunds. I would never stay at this hotel again

The anesthetics of the hotel and room was great but the actual room was unpleasant. The room is extremely small. Literally open the door and you walk right into the bed. After you squeeze into the room between door and bed you then basically have to walk sideways between foot of the bed and TV. The bathroom sliding door is a super thick glass door that's not easy to move. The only window is in the bathroom. While I liked the hotel being more in a neighborhood than a tourist area the subway station was about a 10 minute walk away. Plenty of places to eat around hotel area though. Unfortunately I will not be staying here again. It was just way to small for comfort

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
I travel the World staying in multiple hotels and B&Bs, and Yotel New York Times Square has been one of the WORST experience I had so far.
I booked and paid for an EXECUTIVE room.
At the time of arrival, at first, they told me that that room didn’t exist at Yotel, then, they explain that I got a “high floor” room (my floor was 19, not that high compared to the number of floors). Finally, the second day of my stay, after multiple calls and meetings at the lobby, they told me that they run out of Executive rooms before my arrival and that I had to stay in the same room for all my 6 nights.
The room they gave me was half the size in square feet than the one they gave me. On Expedia.com price was $2,000 lower. They only reimbursed me of $409.42.
I spent the first 48 hours at Yotel trying to figuring out what was going on. Multiple calls and emails went out. It was stressful.
Also, room was SMELLY, DAMAGED (I have pictures and video to demonstrate), and NOISY.
Unfortunately, Expedia.com didn’t quite help, claiming that Yotel had already gave me an upgrade…
I DON’T RECOMMEND BOOKING AT YOTEL NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE

Hotel was great, room size smaller then usual but did the job, location was great. Service at check wasn’t great or directions to room, you have to take an elevator to another elevator after we figured it out and asked questions everything went smooth.

When we arrived to our first assigned room, there was a huge puddle with hair in the middle of the bed. We tried calling the front desk, but nobody answered. So I went downstairs and student line to wait my turn to request room service. Punch showing the picture of the puddle to the front desk, I was assigned a new room on a different floor. When we arrived in the second assigned room, the bed was locked in the flat position, and we were not able to enter the room because the bed was blocking the door. Leaving our luggage in the hallway I climbed over the bed and again attempted to call the front desk. Once again, no one answered at the front desk. So again we went downstairs and waited in line to request maintenance on the bed. An engineer was quickly assigned and arrived within 20 minutes and diagnosed the motor on the bed as being dead. He was not able to repair it. Since we were unable to access the room with our luggage, we were assigned a third room. When we arrived in the third room , the heating and air conditioning controls were not functioning and the room was very hot. Once again, we called the front desk, but no one answered so we walked downstairs and waited in line again to speak about the room conditions. We were told an engineer would be assigned to repair the heating unit. we were already one hour late for my wife’s surprise birthday dinner so we left the room. When we return several hours later, the heating unit was repaired and the control panel worked.

I've stayed at Yotel Boston 3 times. So, when booking my first ever trip to NY, it was a no brainer.
Such a great hotel chain. The rooms are super cool. Small, yes!... But so cool and COMFORTABLE.
I walked to Times Square in about 10min. Walked to the terminal to catch the tour boat of Lady Liberty, Elis Island and other must see locations in 5 min.
Hudson River, where the terminal is, is super super close. I could see it from my corner room... which was super worth the money

At noght great shower
The room has a great view from 26th but to noise, you can hear doors banging from your neighbors all night.
To be fair, they should lower their value so we can expect the same level of pricing.

It was fine for one person for a couple of nights. The room was extremely small though much of any excess space was taken up by the shower/toilet. The bed stretched from wall to wall. There was very little storage space and no chair or desk.
The staff was very friendly.
One big complaint was that the bed was very soft which I found uncomfortable as it was the only place to either sit or work.
It is a bit of a walk to the subway and the Times Square area.
All said, I would stay there again.

Long story short I ended up staying at YOTEL by accident!! And what a lovely accident :) The room was tiny, but it was perfect for me, my husband and our 5yr old. It was clean, I LOVED the hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and even body wash and lotion they have, all organic and is not your typical miniatures, it was bottles (the bottles are locked so people cannot take them) and the shampoo was perfect for my hair ♥ anyways, when I walked in the first thing I noticed was that it didn't have a window, I was disappointed but then notice a small door and even though it was hard to open, it was another beautiful surprise, it had a long patio and I really enjoyed the city view, during the day and during the night!!
Walking to times square was about 15 minutes and I didn't really enjoy the streets we were on but maybe we just took the wrong streets, it just felt too lonely and scary :(
The one thing I didn't like was the breakfast, we had to wait a long time for pancakes and eggs, and they were gone within minutes and then we had to wait all over again :( just to find out that the wait was not even worth it, the eggs were so mushy and wet, and the orange juice was also so bad.
Other than that, I really enjoyed Yotel and will definitely stay there again! I'll just have breakfast somewhere else :) For those wondering, parking was easy because the garage is right there, but we did have to pay, a discount rate, at the time we stayed it was $50

My sheets had holes in them, I requested an extra blanket four times and never received it. The elevator was super loud and could be heard from my room. The shower leaked to the outside, and made my clothes that were outside the bathroom soaking wet.

Staff were so polite and helpful. Our room was great and had a pretty view. Being just a few blocks from Times Square it was a very easy walk and access to food, shops, bars was all very convenient.

Slightly Disappointed
A bit disappointed, about $1k for 3 nights, I just expected a bit of a better stay, overall. The room was smaller than I expected, really not much room at all, hardly any for storage. The first day, I was disturbed by housekeeping several times, even after telling them what time I'd be leaving, I didn't make a huge deal of it because there was no door tag available. I ended up getting one in hopes that it would make the next morning better, it did not, was disturbed multiple times by housekeeping again even with the do not disturb door tag. Her excuse was that she thought it said "please clean my room", I can assure you that it was not on that side. There was a bit of a weird smell from the air vents... seemed to be just the first night though. All in all, it was OK if I ignore the housekeeping, I'm between a 6-7 out of 10.

The location was good with plenty of places to walk and dine nearby. The hotel looks nice from inside and have a decent breakfast. The only problem is the rooms are very small which was a surprise for me.

they charge for everything. No free water, coffee... this hotel charge resort fee, we paid around $42 for one nigh for one room. room is small but clean, some of the bathroom door has rotten metal. I stayed with my friends, and then I realize my bathroom doesn't even have a door (I thought it was the design until I see her room).but my friend's matrass is not adjustable, it might be broken.

Self check-in wasn't available and my only real interaction with staff was at check-in itself.
The room was in terrible condition. There was mold around the exterior of the shower and various parts of the bathroom area - and when taking a shower it was clear that there was nowhere for the moisture to go as the windows would condensate. The shower floor was gritty and stained. There were stains on the blinds and the carpet. The nightstands were similarly stained. The actual bed frame was damaged. The whole vibe of the space was "am I going to get bed bugs staying here"? The lighting in the rooms were either dim or spotlight bright depending on which switch you flipped. The proximity to traffic coming to/from Lincoln tunnel was annoying
It's unfortunate because this property was, at one point, probably very modern and clean. The one redeeming quality was that it was extremely convenient for me working out of Penn1 and traveling to/from Penn Station.
I will never stay here again, but if you're in a pinch for something cheap while traveling - it's MAYBE good enough, but not by much. If you're reading this review, I travel to NYC weekly as a super commuter, and you're frankly better off with some of the other compact budget hotels.

It would be nice to deal with actual humans rather than have an automated check in at a kiosk. Those front desk jobs are real jobs and should not be eliminated for cost. I also resent being charged daily facility fees that are not clearly put forward in the quoting of the price of the stay. This hotel wasn't exactly a resort, so its not clear why that tack on this daily charge at all. But the really annoying thing about the daily facility charge is that we couldn't even use the facility each day that we were being charged. On one of the days they booked a private party for the restaurant/bar and guests were basically locked out of enjoying that part of the hotel. How about a refund of the "facility fee" for that particular day? I won't be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel was in the perfect location for me. It was easy to walk or take a taxi/Uber. The staff were simply amazing!
I had a little mold in my shower where the door connected. My shower door would not close. I did not like their Mission Control operator (forgot the name). I’d prefer to speak with a person. I also initially had trouble booking my room on line. I spoke with someone and unfortunately made a fake reservation. They got my credit card number etc. He hung up once I asked for my confirmation number. I reported this to the hotel when I arrived but somehow, I am not sure they believed my story. The reason for telling them was for them to look into the site to prevent others from getting a hit. Be aware as we need to be on any site.
That all said, I love Yotel Hotels. I have been to several around the world!

The hotel was very convenient and if your a first timer you can walk Times Square and all over but wear your best walking shoes!! Very live all times of night was here 3 days walked used ubers and took ferries also walked piers great city!! Very great location.

It is quite run down. The service team is great but the bed was uncomfortable (I woke up barely able to stand), and the bed came with no blanket just a thin overwashed sheet. It is definitely no frills but it needs a good scrub, some refurbishment and love to make it worth the cost and small room.

The hotel was in a great location for exploring Manhattan and to walk to the Cruise Terminal. Located between 41st and 42st on 10th Av. and walkable to all the attractions in Manhattan.
The hotel was modern but the rooms are small and had no coffee maker, fridge or microwave. Coffee machine can be found on the 4th floor by the restaurant but no milk of cream. Because you are on 42st, it can be noisily till after 11:00 pm from all the honking from horns and sirens. Something to be aware of but not a deal breaker for us.
We arrived at LGA and took the subway into Manhattan that only took us 45 minutes and at $3.25 US per person.

The property was very chic with cool decor. The arrival method/system was different. But the parking and the onsite restaurant made things very very convenient. Let me say, from the Mission Control manager to the door/luggage guy, the guy who made sure I ate lunch while on a few conference calls, and to parking attendant, the entire YOTEL staff team made our experience wonderful. THANK YOUR TEAM. The business model for making the rooms "efficient in use" - I get it. but it would have been nice to have a small chair or desk in the triple cabin. Overall having everything all in one parking/restaurant/near dining options, with a view of Empire State bldg was worth the cost. I would give it 5 stars. (4.5ish stars only because it was really tight and no where to sit in the room other than on the bed. You couldn't hang in the room....but in NYC you only really sleep in the room...so again i get it. I compare the YOTEL rooms a kin to a cruise ship cabin.

The Hotel was very clean and neat.
The room was small but sufficient for our needs. The staff was friendly and was able to obtain service if needed.
The hotel was easily within walking distance of Times Square.
all up a good experience and will be planning to visit New York again hopefully next year and will be choosing the Yotel.

So upon booking this hotel I thought the property would be a little more newer based on the photos. The carpet in the hallways was worn down, my room the paint was chipping off the walls and the sink ended up leaking onto the carpet. Overall it was a good location near times square not sure it warranted $260 a night.

The hotel itself was ok. The room was what we expected but it smelled like humidity. The bathroom had some mold and the bathroom fan did not work which it is probably the reason the room smelled like that.

hotel felt secure even when getting backnlate at night. i ended up in a triple as a solo traveler and it was a pretty small room evwn for one person so i have no idea how it was considered a triple?
the bathroom and bed portions of the room were clean and comfortable! great water pressure especially after a long day. used the luggage service upon arrival and departure, cost approx. $2 cash per piece which was great and felt secure as well.
pricing for hotel was a little higher than i would have liked especially considering size of room and the amenities in it (no fridge, microwave, or kettle).

Great location and friendly bell guys. The rooms can use some love. The rooms were HOT couldn’t sleep with the AC. The showers have a silicone worn out liner that separates the shower floor to the rest of the restroom floor. Wet restroom floors after every shower even if we were careful. The tv never connected to a Wi-Fi which means the little relaxed/winding downtime had to be on a phone. You can’t even mirror it. Fees here, fees there just on the room stay. $1500 for a 3 night stay. Should have picked a different hotel.

I stayed in the penthouse suite there was no courtesy coffee in the room the jacuzzi did not work I call the office and no one never came to check it out. The tv in the living would not connect to chrome cast not a lot of options for breakfast. We waited for a server or someone to help us find where the drinks are. We didn’t have a ice bucket in our room. So I pay a lot for a room that look good on pictures

Great hotel
Very helpful and kind staff helped me do the computer check in and got a cab for me. Location was great as I was going on a cruise from pier 81. Dinner (Chicken) was delicious. The glaze sauce was excellent! Rooms were spotless and efficient - nice modern design. Nice picture window.

We had an overall horrible experience. The check in took long as there was just 1 person at the front desk. When we got to our room it had a discussing odor coming from the bathroom so we requested another room which smelled from pee. We had to go through 3 rooms till we got something decent. The hallway had a strong smell of smoking, the air was so stuffy the floors felt dirty, and overall not clean. As we couldn't sleep we ended up checking out right away so I requested a refund which they didn't even give us, this place is highly not recommended

Well located. The property needs some updating. It could be cleaner. The space under the bed headrest is filthy amd really needs cleaning. I kept sneezing because of that. Room cleaning was otherwise excellent. It's sad that the no smoking rule is not reinforced even though there are warning signs and fines to that effect. This is our second time with Yotel.

Compact but cute
Good location.
The luggage robot looks impressive, just a shame it breaks every third use!
Wasn’t able to check in any earlier than 3 which was a bit annoying.
Good quick breakfast options.
Great rooms, compact but ideal. The bed didn’t turn into a sofa though, the switch was broken.
Charge of $2 per bag to store upon check out.

I like the location, but poor options of food and service breakfast was horrible only buffet with poor selection of food, dinner was horrible too with small portion and not to many options. Small rooms not refrigerator in the room and ice dispenser not worked.
