We arrived to the property at 10pm and did not get a room until 1AM as there was no front desk staff. When the staff showed up, he smelled of marijuana. This was truly unacceptable

Didn’t hav ent reservation. I was double charged, receptionists at both locations didn’t care about anything , weren’t helpful, room smell like cigarettes and I found them in the trash can, and it was 125.00!! Come on , get it together could be a nice place!!!

Not representative of other extended stay America’s. No way of locking the hotel room door & it would not close, staff tried another room and no luck there, opened a third room and it was less than satisfactory. At this point we did not feel safe staying there and ended our stay early, going to another hotel after an already very long day of travel. 10/10 do not recommend this property.

Shoddy at best, rude to top it off
Since the website stated that utensils, etc were provided, i was disappointed to find the kitchen completely empty of any supplies. The desk clerk barely spoje English, and I had to ask her to repeat literally EVERYTHING she said. Worst of all, with a checkout at 11am, we planned sleeping in, after a late night catching up with friends. Imagine my surprise to have house keeping knocking on the door a little after 9, followed by a phone call from the desk 15 minutes later to "make sure everything was okay with the room". Since this is my second disappointing stay at this chain, there will not be a third.
The bathtub was either dirty or terribly stained, the towels were small and thin.
To be fair, the mattress was firm and comfortable, and the ac worked well. Unfortunately, that wasnt enough to make up for the rest of it.

The toilet cover was broken and the shower head was not fully tightened and therefore leaked, spraying water outside of the shower. The kitchen had ZERO dishes, silverware or anything that could be used to cook or eat.

Skip this hotel, dirty and bad service.
I do not recommend this hotel. The tub was filthy, there was absolutely nothing in the kitchenette: no silverware, no pans, no glasses, nothing. The only things you get are a bar of soap and a sample of shampoo...that's it. No coffee maker, either. When I called the front desk to ask if coffee was available in the lobby, I was told I could come get a coffeemaker. When I checked in, the receptionist could barely explain how to hook up with wifi, and could not even tell me if there was a restaurant nearby. These people know nothing about the hotel business...horrible.

Good location right off route 28 and close to multiple food options and Wallmart. We checked into a unit that had a cracked tv screen, maintenance came quickly but said would have to order a new tv so staff switched us to another unit, but the remote control didn't work and had leaves on floor and dirty bathroom. Staff was quick to respond and ended up upgrading us to a bigger unit for our troubles. Reasonable pet deposit rates although the pet fee on the Expedia booking was not the amount charged. It apparently has gone up a few dollars.

The room was not very clean and it did have bed bugs as my husband and I ended up with bites on our feet/legs. Shower looked as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. Staff was nice but hard to find. Frequently they were not in the office.

I went to the front desk 6 times during my 2 day stay from check in to check out and there was never a person at the front desk. My key did not work and I had to walk in the rain to the front desk twice before they gave me a new room. In the room I found 3 ants, two on the bed and one in the kitchen counter. I stayed at 4504 but the lady working at the front of 4506 was rude.

This place was absolutely DISGUSTING. I had to stand on a towel on the floor of the tub just to feel comfortable enough to take a shower. There was a plunger next to the toilet that had excrement and toilet paper stuck to it. One of the pillows on the bed was covered with stains that I can only hope was just drool. The bedskirt had white drip stains all over it, likely to be "bodily fluid". My stay was on 3/23/20, and in the middle of a viral pandemic I have never felt so exposed to germs. I complained to the front desk in the morning about the filthy condition of the room and the clerk said she'd have the manager call me when they arrived, but of course I never heard from anyone. The posting on the back of the door said the regular nightly rate for that room was $189.99 - I would pay that as a monthly rate. This place was horrid, DO NOT stay here.

Stairwells trash filled and dirty

Service was ok, wasn’t the best. The room said it was a non smoking room but it smelled so bad of smoke, and the carpet was disgusting. There was a stain on the sheets that looked maybe like blood. I had my 1 year old with me and was to scared to let him crawl on the floor or even weary of him sleeping on the bed with me.

Property needs a lot of updating. Had to be moved rooms 2 times due to smoke smell in one room and stains all over the floor in another. Room I stayed in was loud, you could hear neighbors conversations. The bathroom door was chewed up by a dog at some point. The cabinets in the room were colored all over with crayon. The floors still had some stains. Bed linen had stains on them. There were also countless spiders that kept showing up in the room.
When I told the management team about the stains, damage, issues in the room they basically shrugged it off and said they knew about it.
I told them about the spiders and they said they would get an exterminator but 2 days passed and no one came. When i went back to the desk the new gal there had no idea what I was talking about.
I asked to check out 2 days early because of all these issues and they denied refunding me for the last 2 days of my 8 night stay. That’s their choice but this property is not in good physical shape or being run in a proper manner.

This unit was absolutely filthy, we took a whole day to clean it to make it habitable. There was obviously a dog in the unit before us, the windowsill was full of slobber and dog hair and the window was nasty from where the dog had looked out.
The bathtub bottom was gross and dirty, the floor carpet full of stains and dirty.
We bought a bed bug cover for the mattress and used our own bedding, pillows and towels because I didn’t want to touch what was provided.
I wiped every surface down with Clorox wipes but we still decided to leave early because we didn’t feel comfortable.
The worst part was open trash on the stairwell which I asked twice to be removed. Tenants just put new trash in open bags there every day ( pizza boxes, food remnants) Very unsanitary and probably a FFX county code violation
I can not recommend a stay there

We got one room on the second floor and the other on the first floor. The one on first floor is facing a big garbage can and the whole room smells like a garbage can. The room is dark and feel grease on surface. Bed feels humi and smell humi. Loud AC. The room is just like a basement. The other room we got on the second floor does feel much better so we conclude that what we got are not exceptional. Staff at front desk are slow. Won't stay in that hotel any more.

Worst hotel in the universe
Garbage everything. Hotel clerk was asleep in the back, took 40 minutes of yelling and calling before he woke up so I could check in. Was a vendor at an event so my partner and I had 6 50lb bags and he gave us a second floor room and there’s no elevator. Went to ask for a 1st floor and he just yelled at us. Got to room and there were visible bed bugs and ants everywhere. Seriously this company is garbage. Tried to call for a refund but they said only front desk could do it and he didn’t come out or answer Expedia.

Nice pond nearby, many choices for food but other than that it wasnt good at all. Asked staff to clean after seeing soap scum in the tile grout and cobwebs all over the room. They never did, but they did come in and turn the A/C up and left 3 long black hairs in the bathroom sink. I have a short fade and my co-worker shaves his bald! Had2 wait forever in front office to get new towels and wash rags. TG it wasnt more than 3nights or i would have snapped!

You get what you pay for....
I spent one night here and for the price and location it was fairly decent overall. I walked into the room and there was a weird smell that came through, it wasn't a strong chemical smell or rotting smell but it was weird but the cold air from the AC unit helped mask it. Overall I was able to get a decent night's sleep and use the basics within the bathroom to get clean. For a basic night away from home/travel, this is a decent place but if you have more money then I would suggest going to another hotel.

I would not offer this hotel on your website. We when got there we were so tried from our trip it was late and it took us 45 mins to find someone to let us in our room... The shower was so dirty we count take a shower and the room smelled like urine. When I checked out 5 hours later the front desk said it was my fault no one was available to let us in because it was 12:00AM... I personally think we should be refunded for our stay.

Don’t stay here!
This place has gone down hill since we stayed a few years ago. It’s pretty gross now. The trash in the corridors hadn’t been taken out for what looked like over a month, and smelled horrible. I’m just glad our room wasn’t right by the piles of trash under the stair wells. The dishes they provided were dirty, and the mattresses need replacing. There were also some pretty sketchy characters roaming around the premises, and as a female with 2 small kids alone during the day i felt a little uneasy.
Luckily we had only booked the first few days of our trip and are now happily just up the road at the courtyard Marriott for $3 LESS per night for the same room set up (king w/a sofa bed). It is SO much nicer here. The young staff were friendly, but that does not make up for all the negatives. Avoid this place!!

Needs improvement
Room was not fully cleaned upon arrival. Past thru the same hallway both mornings and the same trash was there both days. The ‘grab and go breakfast’ was worse than what is usually called a continental breakfast. Location was slightly secluded so it was quiet, except for the loudest air conditioner I’ve ever heard. The room needs a good cleaning. Cobwebs in corners, yellow toilet seat, and the top of fridge was really dusty, etc.

The rooms were ok, the price was low so it was okay for the price. The bathroom was NOT cleaned well at all, the shower curtain was filthy and so was the bathroom floor. There is a lot in the area to do and eat and the people in the office were ok. It is a main place to stay for road crews/construction crews that are working in the area.

Extended Stay Suites of America Chantilly VA
When I got there, my GPS took me to an ESA hotel with a sign right beside the street. The desk clerk had no record of my reservation. After a short discussion, he told me there was another ESA just up the street. He told me to exit the parking lot and turn left and it was just a little way up the street. I went 3 or 4 blocks and didn't see it so I turned around to go back and stopped at every little driveway exiting the main street. I found it about 200 to 250 feet back up a heavily treed drive way. It was the right hotel and when I checked in, the clerk told me that the hot water was out (a sign on the counter said it would be out from 10 am until 2 pm. I checked in at 4:30 pm) and they didn't know when it would be back on. Went to my room and the outside walkways were full of trash and old cigarette butts. In my room, I turned the TV on and only had about 20 channels - some were movie channels.. Only a couple channels I usually watch were available. Went to eat and this hotel is remote with no good restaurants or fast food places near by. Had to go to Centreville Square to find some restaurants. Got back to the hotel and tried to log on to the internet. Had a really hard time getting connected. When I did get connected, it was exceedingly slow. Ran Speedtest and it was 0.07 MBS which is like dial-up. They had a faster wi-fi but you had to pay for it. Hot water came on about 11 pm. No shuttle service to Dulles airport. Do not recommend staying there.

Booked only due to need for business trip
Starting with check-in: We arrived and attempted to check in. Evidently, there are two buildings with their own respective lobbies (which was not mentioned on Hotels.com description) because the girl at what I'll call Building 1, although friendly, rushed us out said that our particular reservation would have to be done in the other building. After driving to Building/Lobby 2, the receptionist there checked us in and specifically instructed us to return to the previous building for Rm 204. Once returning to Bldg. 1, it was apparent that Rm 204 does not exist; when we asked Lobby 1, she said, "Oh, I guess it's the other building." So we had to drive back the other way.
Once we found our "non-smoking" room, we were greeted with the stench of smoke and musty carpet. The latch to our door was broken. The walls had scratches/carvings from previous guests. The bathroom tub had DARK mildew stains; the toilet had dark spots on the seat. All the sinks were covered in sticky substances we had to wipe ourselves. The fridge was greasy and definitely had not been cleaned; food stains and gunk were still inside. Lamp fixtures had faulty lightbulbs. There are definitely more issues, but the aforementioned is bad enough.
My theory is that the 2 buildings are reserved for certain types of customers with better services for Bldg 1 and our given room was just bad thinking on their part. Again, it's a strong theory. Only come here if you're desperately in need of a place to stay.

Terrible Odor and Poor Service
When I 1st checked in I could smell a peculiar odor in the room which I didn't like. When I went to the front desk to request a new room, the receptionist told me I couldn't change the room for free because I have to request it within 15 minutes. Since I missed the 15 minute deadline I had to pay a fee. I chose to stay in the room since I didn't want to pay a fee for a room that could be just as bad or worse. The next day I called the front desk to ask that house keeping spray deodorant in the room to eliminate the smell: they never came. The smell was so bad that I opened the window for more air circulation but that still didn't help eliminate the odor. I called the front desk to ask if I can call a 1-800 or a local number without charge using the hotel phone. He told me that he had no idea. He didn't even bother to research the question to find out. There were also a few individuals standing outside who looked suspicious late in the afternoon. This place is a total dump. I will make sure to never come back here again. I've stayed at other Extended Stay Americas and I have had no problem except for this particular site.

Great front-desk service. Would be nice if they didn't just open the door to a room before check-out time, even if it's 30 minutes before. Thankfully the door was latched and I was in the shower when a cleaning person opened the door. This seems to happen at most hotels, and it's a terrible habit.

Very dirty, find somewhere else
When we got to the room, the tub was dirty and had not been cleaned, the floor was not vacuumed and the window had handprints and evidence of being forced open in the past. We contacted the front desk and were shown another room.
The second room had a clean tub and shower, but the bedsheets were stained and did not appear to be changed. The floor was partially vacuumed and the windows were secure. There was also no bedding provided for the pull out sofa bed. We called the front desk and were told that there was no one to bring it and we’d have to pick it up from the front desk.
Each room was so bad in its own way that we left and found another hotel and requested a refund.
This was the worst hotel I’ve been to in the past 10 years.

Poor experience
The rooms are to be non-smoking. The new room reeked of smoke. Room very old. I checked out 5-10 minutes after checking in. Above us there were 6 - 8 guys and smoking weed. There were about 8 other guys spread out over the property that looked very questionable would be a good way to put it. Felt very unsafe. I don't know if there are quite a number of people getting deals on long term stay but this hotel is not the typical extended stay america by far and I have stayed at at least 15-20. Perhaps during day all the unsavory characters go to work.

This is a dump. This is basically a truck stop. There are 2 extended suites next to each other, one long term, and the other the hotel. We arrived at 1am to the wrong one and could not find an attendant. The room is uncomfortable and smoky. smelled like a week of smokers in the room. The hotel was prepaid and the attendanct told me it was not. They charged me twice. I am disputing charge with my credit card. We never got the "free breakfast"

Not worth $70-$80
The hotel room was not clean up to par. There was hair or dog hair from a previous person or dog in the covers and the floor. The heater was blowing cold air the whole night even with it set on 90 F. The bath tub was literally dirty and the bathroom smelled like stale old water. Definitely not worth the $70-$80 paid for a night. Spend that money elsewhere for a nicer stay.

ants ants ants.
hundreds of ants from a outlet on the wall.they came to my room with a roll of duct tape. picture below.when i ask for a diff room the man said they are worse then the one i was in. had to get clean towels from the office and they wanted me to bring in the dirty ones.trash cans under the stairs outside had a smell that way to much for me. tv was so bad i didnt watch it.

On the outside thirst hotel looks decent. However, the room was filthy. Blood stains on the bath towels, and stains on the sheets. The entire hotel needs a good cleaning. The service was not good as well.

Absolute disgrace
Words cannot express how disappointed I am with this hotel. When we got to our room our non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. I did a sweep of the room and found pee spots on the bed sheets, a bug in the shower, and dark stains on the washcloths. The lovely man at the front desk gave us another room. This time, thankfully, there were no pee stains on the sheets but there were ants on the pillows. The side of the fridge has red juice stains dripping down and residue stains on the bathroom sinks. Needless to say I will not be staying here or at any of the Extended Stay locations ever again.

Original room had a serious ant problem but, once explained to the staff they promptly reassigned to a better room.
