Good stay
Front desk staff was very friendly and parking was readily available outside of the lobby. The room was very comfortable and modern. I enjoyed the toilet room being seperate from the shower. Bed was comfortable and everything was stocked in the room. I didn't use the gym facilities or business center so i can't comment on those. The only issue was an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the toilet or sink area. Other than that... wonderful stay.

Bad Experience
Toilet stop up and customer service personnel had no maintenance person available. Bed mattress need to be changed out (hard). HVAC in room not working properly. Breakfast very poor. Boil egg cold, and also sausage cold.

The facility is good, moderate clean, plenty of parking and breakfast ok for included hotel price. Room is spacious, but a kind of noisy in the night with squeaky sharp noise from night trains nearby, making it difficult to sleep.

This is an attractive, clean property. It does require that you have a car as it is at least a mile from the metro and the area is not really walkable. It is not in a retail area but the area is attractive and safe. The breakfasts are good but there is no coffee available after 9am during the week and 9:30 on weekends. With no coffee shops in the area, this was a big disappointment.

Good value for the money. Very good breakfast each day and nominal charge for parking. Rooms are a good size and clean. Hotel is not too far from Old Town, but need a car to get there. Easy access to expressway.

We'll be back.
We were very pleased with this hotel and we'll definitely stay here again. We were just in Washington for one day and the price of this hotel was so much better than anywhere else. It was an easy walk to the Metro and the hotel allowed us keep our car in their parking lot even after we had checked out. A few more toiletries would have been nice but not so crucial.

Good location. Helpful staffs. Need to pay $10 per night parking. The room doesn’t have sufficient electricity outlets, may need upgrades. Overall, a good choice to stay in national harbor or old town area.

Amazing front desk staff. Very pleasant and friendly. Room was very spacious with a nice sitting area. Love the separate bath and toilet. What we didn’t like was the bathroom sink always smelt foul like a sewage smell. Housekeeping failed to fill the soap dispenser and there was a wad of hair stuck on clean unused bathroom towel.

Property was well-located just outside of Old Town Alexandria. Our king-sized room was very comfortable. The only issue that we encountered was where the shower door seal had been improperly installed, causing water to leak out onto the bathroom floor every time we took a shower. We did report the issue to the front desk. The free breakfast was above average as well. All-in-all a very enjoyable stay.

the only complaint I have is the website stated that parking was free, but we were billed 10.00 dollars per day for parking. The language on the website needs to be changed to reflect this.

Wonderful stay
We stayed for two nights here and the stay was wonderful! This was the same hotel we stayed at 9 yrs ago with our children. Great hotel.
PS - there are no more lollipops at the front desk. Please consider bringing them back! 🙂

Quite good facility to enjoy the trip. Spacious and cozy. Parking policy is changed from free to $10 per night.

If Breakfast is a priorty, thin twice!
We stayed for four nights. Hotel location is reasonable in terms of proximity to Alexandria which was the main reason we chose this hotel. We were really unhappy about the quality and choices about the breakfast. Needs much much improvement! No coffe provided throughout the day or in the afternoon, something we would have really like to see..Everyday room cleaning service is provided which may be a plus. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. The staff were wonderful! Helpful, polite, and friendly. The rooms were always immaculate and their cleaning staff always went above and beyond.
The easy access to the Metro DC area is fantastic, and the fact that there’s a Metro station right next door is awesome.
If you’re looking to visit DC, but don’t want to pay DC Hotel prices, I can’t think of a better option than this place!

Overall, pretty great. Breakfast was disappointing though. Too crowded and by the time you got all your stuff and found a table, food was cold! Line at toaster was way too long and crowded. Eggs appeared to be powdered and tasted weird. Walk to Metro was too far and difficult to walk. Maybe provide shuttle to Metro station? Front desk was friendly and helpful. Room cleaner was awesome too! 😊

Couple of days away
This hotel is super friendly and conveniently located. The breakfast is superb. There was no internet during our stay which was difficult to stay in touch. There are no pens, paper or brochures at the hotel. It is .7 to the Metro which is fine!!

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had
One of my most pleasant hotel experiences ever. Staff was pleasant, helpful and very kind. I misread one of the descriptions and they kindly helped us to change rooms to better accommodate our needs while being friendly and professional. They went above and beyond what any hotel has ever provided. Rooms were clean, quiet, and well-maintained. Approximately 15 minutes walk to the yellow metro line and grocery store. Aldo’s pizza next door cinched this as one of my favorite hotel experiences ever, and due to the staff I will recommend this location to anyone I know traveling to the area.

Spent 2 nights breakfast was basic but good. Eggs/ sausage. Cereals , yogurt. Toast. There is train access to DC just down the road but we drove and DC had parking meters which were cheap compared to NYC. Where we are from.

This is a great place to stay if you're an active person who wants to maintain a workout/fitness routine while traveling. The hotel is located on a walking/biking path. The metro is a 15-min walk down the road. The hotel gym is surprisingly large and has four treadmills, several bikes and ellipticals, and weights. The hotel even has a coin-operated laundry.

Since you got in, you can feel the fresh and clean air, for me and my wife, cleaning is our number 1 priority. Then the ladies who cleaned our room was very polite and educated ( THANK YOU TO ALL OF THEM) including the kindness of front desk personnel.

This place was the best decision for my stay near DC because:
1 - very close to Old Town Alexandria for anything I needed
2 - very close to the highway to get into DC
3 - very quiet area with free parking right outside the lobby door
4 - friendly staff
5 - modern accommodations/newly renovated property, including a fridge and microwave in the room (oftentimes I find if it's renovated, they take out the fridge and microwave)
6 - clean room
My only complaint is that the rooms were not at all soundproof to the hall, and I could hear every conversation in the hall. The doors could use sealing on the edges, and the halls could use a white noise machine. I was not sleeping in but I would not have been able to if I wanted to due to the noise of a group over over 40 people who were there getting up for the breakfast. Also breakfast ended at 9am, which seems early, if you care about that.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Metro rail. Once we parked the car we didn’t use it again for the remainder of the trip.

A Great Treasure!
We cannot say enough about this fabulous hotel! The room price was great; breakfast was very good and convenient/time saving, and the hotel atmosphere was perfect. We also have to compliment the staff! Every employee at the hotel was so friendly and helpful with whatever you needed. They made you feel very welcome. The hotel is a short walk to the Eisenhower Metro Station, which is a great way to get to downtown Washington DC.
We would definitely return to this hotel in a heartbeat!
