Needed Kleenex in bathroom. Every new customer should have a new box of Kleenex in the holder, or an extra box needs to be present. Housekeeping let one Kleenex in the box for us which was insufficient. Should not have to call desk for a new box like I had to do.

Comfortable stop-over
Very conveniently located on the I-81 corridor with easy on and off access and gas, etc nearby. Good selection at breakfast and very pleasant staff.

The hotel was clean and in a good location. There were a couple of restaurants only within a few blocks.
The carpeting looked clean and new. The furniture in the common areas could be updated.
The breakfast selection was skimpy. No fruit. No waffles.
Staff was friendly, helpful and answered the phone promptly when we had a concern.
There was just one microwave and it was in the lobby, but it was all right. We had brought some soup that needed to be heated, so we had to go downstairs to do that. Inconvenient, but it worked.

Stayed here on the way home from Nashville to Richmond, VA. The staff was super friendly and the room was neat as a pin with a very comfortable king bed. We definitely recommend this Fairfield Inn.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is easy from getting there, to parking, to checking in and checking out. The complimentary breakfast is also nice before hitting the road and the whole place is very clean. I’ve stayed there twice so far and I’ll definitely be back again.

The only thing I noticed that was "negative" was there was a big gap between the door to our room and the wall. I could actually see the floor of the hallway from inside our room. Luckily it was a quiet hallway so it didn't disturb us. We placed a towel over the gap to block the light coming in from the hallway.

Great stay! No bugs!
My mom and I stayed at this hotel for one night on our way up to Pennsylvania. We are very picky about hotels and very skeptical of bugs. This hotel exceeded our expectations very clean. And very well-maintained. Great breakfast, and friendly staff. We also read a review that said something about the curtains were sheer, and you could see through them. When we arrived, we thought the same thing, but you have to look behind those curtains, and there was ones that you could close that were black out curtains. We would stay here again great experience. Thanks.

Broken toilet.
Depressing area.
It is basically a place you go to if you are tired and just staying overnight.
Avoid this place if you have a legit service animal. They will charge you for a pret fee regardless without telling you.

Toilet did not work even after the repairman came in to fix it. No discount provided for broken toilet.
Also, if you have a legit service animal, they will still try to charge you a pet fee.
Breakfast was sub par. If you want a high quality free breakfast, this is not for you. No make it yourself waffle station. Instead you will find limp soggy waffles that were previously frozen.
I travel a lot and I have seen better.

Clean but you should expect more
The beds were terrible. We did not feel rested at all; they were far too soft and we both sunk into them. The breakfast lacked bacon but had some kind of unpalatable sausage, and the plates and utensils were all plastic/throwaway. That gets a bottom rating for environment. It's also hard to find: we drove past it the first time and had to look carefully.

Mattress was worn and had large depressions. Should have been reaced long ago. Had to pull out the sleep sofa bed to get any sleep. If possible, I would ask for a refund. While boasting about amenities, perhaps this establishment shod focus on offering the client a good bed/mattress to sleep on.

Family visit.
We needed a quick place to stay while visiting family. The Fairmont Marriott was the perfect choice.
Only negative was breakfast was not very good. They served from 7-10. We went down between 8:30 and 9:00 and there was limited food available.

Nice. Convenient. Clean. But no microwave in the room. :/ As someone who travels and prefers to cook or reheat their own food on the road this is always a disappointment. The room itself was very big and clean. They have full size shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower which is also nice.

Our stay was very pleasant. The only issue was the broken thermostat on the AC so we can't adjust the temperature. It was colder than what we wanted the room to be. Overall, it's a nice and clean hotel.

Did not get the room I booked. Upon inquiry, receptionist kept saying there are no rooms and that 'they' booked me in a different room (I booked this room an hour before arriving at 10 p.m., and it was stated that 5 rooms of my type and another type were available). Refused to move me. Additionally, could not sleep as elevator mechanism was whirring the whole time - on other side of room wall. I booked this hotel bc I thought spending more money would get me something more comfortable/pleasant, but that was not the case. Save your money and pick a cheaper hotel in the area.

This place was absolutely wonderful. The staff were INCREDIBLE. So accommodating and friendly, every single person. There was hot chocolate at check in (big hit with the kids and lovely on a cold night). Most hotels see an Expedia booking and put you wherever and that’s that but this place asked what would work best for us so we got a room where we were kind of alone so the kids could be loud and not disturb people. It was the cleanest room we’ve ever stayed in. My husband always sanitizes our rooms while traveling before the kids come in and usually headboard tops are dusty but this was the first hotel where even that was clean. The breakfast was wonderful as well. There was nothing we didn’t like about the hotel. Will go out of our way to stay again. 100/10.

Very clean. I had stayed in 2 other Marriott's the 10 days beforehand and this one stood out as the room was clean (coffee maker / shower) and nothing was missing. Overall it felt like the staff cared about the customer which had been slightly lacking in the others (not through service but through the 2 points mentioned).

Night staff on check in was rude and same staff a couple nights later still rude. Rooms are showing age. Housekeeping did a good job, and other staff were very pleasant. But I won’t stay here again from the experience I had on check in. Which is a shame considering I use this hotel at least 7-8 times every year.

Very nice stay overall. Did have an issue with the room upon check-in. Dirty and wrinkled hand towel, used cup, and urine in the toilet. The rest of the room was clean though. Not sure what happened.

Excellent stop for the night .
This will be my new stop over to and from Florida. Taking 81 is scenic as i really don't care for the northern part of 95. Staff was friendly and checkin was quick. Breakfast was good and I liked that i could use a takeout container to eat in my room.
