Everything was great except they don’t have a pool for kids 11-17 years old. They have a pool for small children and an adult pool and are very strict about who is allowed to use the adult 18 and over pool. Also they close the pools at 6pm which is when it’s finally bearable to be outdoors in Miami in August. Same with the beach chairs and umbrellas.

The entire resort & experience was incredible. Staff, service, amenities, everything was 10/10. Will only stay here every time I’m in Miami! To add - I am a young woman who went alone and felt completely safe & secure at the Carillon.

This property was in a fantastic location. The pools and beaches were fantastic. The rooms were subpar - noticeable dingy. We had several issues while on the property. I would rank this less 5 star -more 3 star.

6 years later and this property took a bad turn. The service at the beach was terrible. The spa and amenities are overcrowded and not maintained. Needs better management and staff training. Not worth it for the price.

Staff was unjustly rude at times. I’ve stayed here before and their rudeness this time was unusual. The elevators smelled due to their stinky cleaning solution. I even had to carry my own items downstairs to checkout due to the Bell-Man being to busy.
He then made a scene by asking for a tip and yelling for a tip in front of people. Shameful. Not staying here again!

Property has direct access to the beach, rooms and property was very clean, staff were very nice. Front desk service was excellent specially Sheneika was very helpful to my family!! The optional upgrade for room were not available but she managed to give us alternative options.
The amenities were great, and we have enjoyed the rock climbing, and the wellness for the adult. The only exception was the outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi close at sunset time. There are multiple pools in the property but only one accessible to the hotel guests. Restaurant and grocery stores are located near the property and there wasn’t need for driving or taking rides.

I have always loved this property but they have taken away one pool, yoga studio - fitness area and two yoga classes and made them just for residents so hotel guests lose some of the most best parts of the property. I won’t pay the higher price if these things aren’t included.

The property sits on a lovely and quiet strip of Miami Beach. There is a beach walkway that extends for miles North and South, suitable for walking or bike riding!

The spa was great. The rooms very comfortable. Location fine. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday which I guess are considered slow, so the nicest restaurant in the hotel was closed. However the bar food was very good.

Be careful of hidden check out charges. We stayed 3 nights in a suite, pre paid. At checkout we left around 9am and they just took our room key and then days later we were charged 267 USD with no explanation. Some of this was for valet parking but that should only be 40$ a night. Reached out to hotel and no explanation given. Including our 50$ voucher, there is about 200$ unexplained charge.

Great resort,quiet,but in need of a bitmore luxury
Nice hotel spacious suites, only option to park was valet which is a bit over priced .
Bathrooms in the room were lovely but the furniture in the rear of the room was dated and in need of replacing particularly the kitchen area.
Nice beach are but the sun loungers and sunshades needed replacing very old and used looking and the numbers behind each bed which may be useful made the area looks cheap and tacky . Shame as some simple adjustments would really up the luxury feel and at over £450 per night it’s not cheap . However location was ok, near to shops and the staff were very nice.
Would also like them to have put the complimentary water in the room and deducted my $50 resort credit towards food and drink off without me having to ask- that’s a bit disappointing - not much I know but still .
Kids loved the on-site rock wall this was a great plus as were the gym and the classes . These were great

Lack of empathy
I had to reschedule my trip to Miami, therefore I’ve tried to change the dates and the answer I’ve received from hotel.con la that the hotel will not accept change of dates. This lack of flexibility reflects lack of empathy and also produce very low levels of satisfaction to new customers like

Overall, we had a very positive experience and will likely stay at this resort again. My only gripe was that the daily room cleaning service was not up to par. The cleaning lady did not clean the tub during our stay, this was evident by the soap and grime watermark in the tub so I had to clean it myself; she also left a cleaning agent in the bathroom which was a problem b/c my 1 year old was on the trip with us; and she forgot to take out the trash which my husband had to. If this weren’t a family trip, I’d be fine with these hiccups.

I have been in hospitality over twenty years. This area is where I have high expectations. The Carillon Resort is the only resort that has ever met my expectations. The front staff were helpful and friendly. The valet staff were very attentive. Maribel our night staff was amazong. The resort is so clean and smelled lovely at all times. We were not nearly as impressed with Miami as this resort. We will definately come back to the Carillon. The Spa is Ahhhhmazing. Thanks to all

We had the best time. Food was amazing and very healthy. Our Kids had a blast. You don’t need to pack pool or sand toys because they have you covered.
We used their crib for our youngest and it was an actual crib. So thankful because most places only have pack and plays.
Just an all around great stay! We can’t wait to come back.

We paid for a nicer room with balcony and ocean view. Was told they didn't have that room, put us in a dirty room. Then switched to yet another room. Told us we would get into the room we paid for. But they never did.
So terrible to have been put in a dirty room in the era of COVID. Also to pay for something and never get it. Awful experience.

They wrongly charged me twice.
1. A bottle of water I did not order
2. Valet parking fee (I did not bring a car)
I was not able to order food at the fifth floor adult pool cause there is no staff (which is supposed to easily order according to their policy)
The only one restaurant does not open Monday and Tuesday.
Overall great property, design, location. But unprofessional service and management.

The property is lovely and the staff were very accommodating. We were expecting a balcony and when our room did not have one we were able to switch rooms to an oceanfront unit with balcony. I loved the fact that each room has a kitchenette so we could dine in as it’s the height of COVID. Lastly the property is very dog friendly so my fur baby could go almost anywhere.

Spa staff excellent, as was private yoga instructor. Dinner in the restaurant only disappointment, with limited menu (though the food was delicious).

Overall, great as always. Some little glitches, like my phone buttons connected to the wrong places. Front desk staff uneven. Everyone else very nice. The property is great and remains my favorite place to stay in Miami -- outside the liveliness of south beach, an oasis of calm and wellness where you still feel part of as much action as you want. Also, close to Bal Harbor which never hurts.

What a bummer. I took a chance to go to Florida during a rise in Covid cases because I felt it important to venture out and start getting back to normal but I made a mistake. Mask signs everywhere in the hotel but not really enforced and to add insult to injury I checked into a two bedroom room with 5 people( roomh actually holds more) and was only given 4 beach chairs on several occasions. At one point I complained to the manager and he rectified but the same continued to happen the following day. I had to tell my son to sit on the hot sand. I’m disgusted and can’t believe that the beach personnel would not do the right thing. The hotel was not full and beach chairs were plenty. Truly shameful given what we paid and the lack of disclosure upon check in. The room was wore down and while we had a kitchen there was only a saucepan nor no cooking utensils. What a let down

The Carillon Resort is so beautiful and relaxing. The staff is friendly, and helpful. The Market had delicious juices, smoothies, and coffee. The wellness facilities were state of the art. The gym had great equipment, and a climbing wall. We enjoyed a luxurious couples massage at the spa. The rooftop pool was very relaxing and clean. The entire resort was very clean and the cleaning staff were very accommodating.

Avoid this place! There are signs to wear mask indoors, but it was disregarded by staff and anyone indoors. The resort was being renovated during our stay - and it needs it - yet the noise and disturbance were hard to take while inside. Our bathroom was tired like the kitchenette (the dishwasher was loose and bent out of shape) and the pullout sofa bed that my kids slept on (the setup was SO uncomfortable and the sheets had holes in them . . . I have photos to prove. There were sirens blaring each night and then we couldn't stand it so we left Thursday morning rather than Friday morning. The drinks from the bar were watered down - just go across the street to the store to buy. The spa treatments are a waste of money. Go to a real resort with real customer service.

This was the worst hotel experience we ever had. Do not book here!! We found a giant roach in the room upon check-in. There were also stains on furniture, the TV wires were out and visible, the AC was making a rattling sound, and kitchen counters were dirty. We got moved to another room, and had all the same issues except the roach. The staff friendliness was spotty but mostly indifferent/bordering rude. They do not serve water or any other drinks by the adult pool, oddly enough you have to be in the big kiddie pool to get any kind of drink. There are so many excellent hotels on Miami Beach, do not waste your money here.

Needs a reset
For $900+ I got a room with no balcony, and no view except of the parking garage next door. I went to the SPA and had one of the worst massages of my life -- for $300+ (although trainer Kristin was awesome). Restaurant service is poor, and they leave the beach looking a mess through the day.

Food options inside hotel are very high priced but we didnt find that an issue because tbere are many food options that are walking distance outside hotel, as well as Publix. Would absolutely return!

We liked the beach, gym and climbing wall. What was not disclosed was that with a family with kids, we would only have access to one pool, as two pools were for residents only, one pool was for adults only, gym was for adults only. Restaurant was overpriced, the residents would not even eat there.
