Hard bed
The hotel itself was clean, beautiful and well maintained. The room as well. However the bed is hard as a rock, couldn’t sleep.. tossed and turned all night and woke up with horrible back pain. Besides that it was a nice place to stay.

No Rest, Not Clean
Sink could not be drained without going under the sink. Hotel was far from full and neighbors were so noisy they kept us up until 1 or 2. Pillows and pillow cases not clean. Checked in 1130. Too tired to move. Only one towel and one pillow each for two people.

$2 for a bottle of water / “Oh, no - I mean $3,” the front desk woman snarled. Room: no laundry bag, no pen with a pad. Parking - not well engineered.

Luxurious for the price
The room was surprisingly luxurious for the price. Big comfy bed, glass door walk in shower. We left very early, so cant speak to the quality of the breakfast. I wish it had an EV charging station, but that would not stop me from staying there again.

Check in was very slow. We were given a room on main level. Room was clean and decent looking. On Saturday night there was a function in the basement level, the noise in the room was ridiculous! If you are staying over a weekend, you should ask for a room on a higher level. The bed was very comfortable BUT the bed frame made so much noise every time you moved, I had to try not to move too much! Staff came to replenish conditioner at our request and he took the shampoo, left the empty conditioner and a fresh one! Room was comfortable and clean but I was very underwhelmed given the positive reviews.

Had a great stay, breakfast was lovely I liked having the multiple options to either get a buffet or make to order. The room was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and kind especially Carlos. I definitely will recommend to my friends and will stay again. They also made sure I signed up for the Hilton honors so I don’t loose points for my stay :)

Biggest downfall was the hot tub broke the night we arrived! It didnt get resolved in the time we were there either :(
Also- I did not know we needed to call down for room service until the final night so we got only one set of towels the whole week and no cleaning or trash removal.

I stayed for 1 night at this hotel and my stay was enjoyable. The hotel and room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I had breakfast which was good. I would stay here again if in the VA area.

Booked a king room but was sent to a different style of room with two beds. Room had visible trash on the floor upon arrival - empty m&ms bag, crushed candy and pretzels on the carpet. Bathroom toilet was running and clearly in need of repair. Bathroom counter had visible rings and had not been wiped down. I found this absolutely comical after paying the incidental fee minutes earlier at check-in. Let front desk know and was moved to another room, but have never experienced anything this level of quality at a Hilton and will stick with Marriott brands after this experience.

A number of issues. Rude staff at check in. I booked the room for my wife and had to call to verify that she could stay in the room (not a big deal). However, the staff was kind of rude about it and unclear. Also, they wouldn’t commit to the room being available. Expedia said 3pm check in and hotel said 4pm. Hotel just said Expedia is wrong and wouldn’t commit to anything earlier than 4pm. Once checked in the beds had been disturbed (slept in, used in some fashion, etc). Had to move to a new room. Staff was more friendly for this issue.

Was in the area for a week and tried a few different properties and there were no complaints at Hilton Gardens Inn Fairfax. Will definitely stay there again on my next visit.

I felt this was one of the poorest lit, and dated Hilton Properties that I have stayed at. I realize Hilton wants to capture a larger portion of the hotel market, but properties like this one will not succeed at accomplishing that!

The facility was very nice. The staff at the front desk were very accommodating. However, I wish the bathroom had bar soap for washing your hands at the sink. We had to use shower gel.

I liked having access to Pelton. I disliked your lack of a business office. When I have confidential documents to print, I'm not going to email them to the front desk to have someone else print them. I also dislike your way of handling "housekeeping upon request". I arrive on Friday night. First thing Saturday morning I see the note on my bathroom mirror. Immediately call front desk to request bed making and bathroom refresh but was told I needed to have called 24 hours earlier. That would have meant I had to arrange it before I even checked in! You should either display that same note on the check-in counter or have the desk personnel explain that it is only upon request and ask if we wanted any services for the first day. The way you handled it was poor. It gives the impression you were trying as hard as possible to minimize housekeeping services expenses. Congratulations. You got me!

Definitely recommend.
Great place to stay. Indoor heated pool and hot tub was really nice for the kids. Exercise equipment looked great although we didn’t use it. Hotel was very clean and nice. breakfast was quite good and very reasonably priced. Room was clean and comfortable. Auto check in and out on the app as well as using the app as room key was super convenient. I would totally stay here again.

When I got to the hotel, the person at the desk must have been new. I gave her my name an at first she it took her a few miniuts to find my reservation. She then ask for the credit card used to make the resevation and I gave her the one I used. She said it did not match the one in the system. She said the manager would be at the hotel in a few minutes and he could see what the problem was.

We booked the stay at this hotel months prior to arriving. Called and followed up specifically after seeing that this hotel accommodates dogs. The customer representative was pleasant and very informative (from corporate not the individual location). She explained to us that we are allowed to do as we please (as in a normal visit taking care of the furry friend responsibly) and that the dog may be left in the hotel room un attended for a few hours at a time if need be. We arrive at the hotel, no problems, pay the fee for the dog which again comes with a packet all which still makes us believe it’s the same ordeal.
Day one we went out the first day leaving our dog, she was fine had water, food, all the amenities of her home. No problems at all. Day two we leave for Washington DC a 30 minute drive on average and not even halfway through the drive we received a call that there has been 3 complaints of barking. Which comes to a surprise that 3 complaints in 15 minutes of driving seems a bit over kill (not to mention, it was a call that directed take your dog from the hotel room or be kicked out). But I immediately apologized and returned that moment. When returning I realized there was 2 maid carts literally a door or two over, which made sense if someone knocked as we sat out side and stomped around and made some noise for a bit and not one peep. Worst Hilton customer experience I have experienced. Ruined our trip, and will not be booking with Hilton any longer for business.

The room and the hotel were generally lovely and spacious. However people were smoking in a room near me and my room was filled with cigarette smoke as I tried to sleep. When I called the desk I was told that they would be charging the room the smokers were in extra for their smoking. Which is great for the hotel but didn’t solve my problem of having to sleep in room that smelled like cigarettes .

I booked this hotel because of the pool as I was traveling with my 6 and 7 year old boys. I arrived to discover a “closed for maintenance” sign to a pool that appeared to have been in “closed” status for a long time. Returned to the room to discover the tv was not working. Staff did send a maintenance person to fix it rather quickly but we discovered that when tv was turned off, it stopped working again. Thankfully only a 1 night stay. The room cleaning cart was parked outside our door at 7:45am.

The Good:
Quiet, clean, great affordable made to order breakfast, super friendly staff.
The Bad:
Pool was closed, not listed anywhere on either hotels.com or Hilton site. This was primary reason we stayed her
Toilet handle was broken in one of the room and 3 separate requests over 3 days and was never fixed properly, handle kept falling off. Had to use the one in the lobby. Big fail
Hilton promises to make it right and with pool closed with no notice and failed repairs. This failed to live up to there promise!

Nice room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. However, the staff fouled up on checking us in Even tho the clerk acknowledged our 5 day stay, somehow their system had us there for only a one-day stay such that a housekeeper came rolling into our room without knocking, then asked if we had extended our stay. Checked with the front desk and they blamed it on Expedia. Finally sorted with help of the Manager. Then had a problem getting into our room the 4th night, apparently due to battery in the door lock mechanism running out of power. When we tried to check out, the clerk again had a problem doing so, as their system said we already had checked out. Quite the mess!

The hotel seemed great and my room was nice and clean. Unfortunately room 455 is right next to the linen room and theres a rumbling motor noise every 66 seconds that lasts 12 seconds! It never stops all night long so you have 1 minute to try and fall asleep if you're a heavy sleeper otherwise you might be awake all night like I was. The air conditioner fan was also very noisey in this room it rattled like it was loose. The window is impossible to close off, the curtains are designed with about 16" of uncovered area at the bottom so you can't get the room dark. If its possible, bring your own pillows as these ones flatten out completely.

Staff was absolutely excellent provided us with a play pen for my 9 month old. Check-in & check-out was a breeze. Pool closed due to covid. I thought hotels did daily cleaning, but no. We slept 7 in a room with two Queen beds. I would much rather have had two rooms, but everything was excellent and clean. Staff absolutely polite and helpful.
