I was quite taken aback by the inadequate customer service provided by the valet upon our arrival, however bell men service was fine. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction to the customer service regarding the valet,insufficient hot water and water pressure, the front desk promptly relocated me to a superior room. Furthermore, the malfunctioning elevators were also a source of discontent, but I was subsequently transferred to a building with fully operational elevators. Once I was relocated, everything improved significantly, room and beds were very comfortable. Ivan, the individual at the front desk, truly salvaged our stay.Thank you Ivan!

Hard pass!
There were tiny insects all over, although I was only bitten once. The toilet made a scary crashing sound every time someone stood up from it, and it ran continually wasting gallons and gallons of water. The hotel ran out of washcloths so we had to shower using hand towels as washcloths. Then they ran out of hand towels. The elevator broke down so there was only one to serve the whole hotel, which was a long wait and wasted a lot of our time. The staff was mostly nice, but you could tell they were fighting an uphill battle. In rereading this review, I think a reader would suspect this is exaggerated or made up. Unfortunately it is neither.

The hotel is generally in pretty good shape. Only observations are: bathroom pocket door remains open, shower pressure is very light, and AC is on auto all the time; when the machine turns on it makes a terrible noise throughout the night.

Not worth your money
The room furnitures where destroyed. We took a non smoking room with a baby and its smelled cigaret all the long. You could hear everything outside. We asked for a baby crib and they never came back to us. Simply deceived for the expensive price we payed!

Solid property. Wish they would be more upfront about the difference between ocean view and superior ocean view. No balcony for superior which is terrible. The glass is very dirty so the view wasn’t worth it. People at the pool can see in your room on the lower floors so that’s obviously a turn off. The side of the property on the outside could use some landscaping and cleaning. The pool could use some cleaning and the sun gets blocked by the surrounding buildings by early afternoon. It’s also a hike to go to the strip if that’s what you are planning to do. This is why I said it’s inconvenient. If you plan to just stay at the property you’ll be fine. With all this said id still consider this property but rather the regular ocean view or regular room.

Ot was nice. Clean. Close to beach. Dining was good. The housekeeping was poor. Missed a day completely, and when they did come, things were not restocked properly, we had to go to the desk and get our own towels.

Beware, don't stay here! You pay a lot of money for a "nicer" room but they are super small. Not worth the money. The worst part about our stay was our terrible experience at their restaurant Naked Crab! Worst restaurant we've ever been too. The wait staff was extremely rude and the food was terrible. I can go into a lot of details about our terrible experience here but what you should know is you shouldn't waste a penny in this restaurant. Other than that, we found bugs in our room and their "valet" service was a joke. For $55 a night you would think they would have a better system but every single time, we had an issue or waited forever for our car. They also don't have enough elevators so when it's busy, you end up waiting a long time since they're so small. Just a terrible experience overall and I wouldn't recommend to anyone to stay here. It was a big waste of money!

King suite is actually just a room with a half wall, and no desk or table and chair. Staff was impersonal and the place was generally uncomfortable for a traveling family. No hot tub. We went next door to the Marriott to eat and should have stayed there.

One can expect more from a 4 star hotel. Average at best. Location is great, pool is great, but that is about it. Expensive for what it offers. Mediocre room, water in the bath was yellow, towels were stiff, no breakfast, and the restaurant that offers breakfast is in despair: dirty silverware, terrible food. Do not recommend.

Sweet staycation

I like nothing it was very noisy. The staff weren’t very friendly, especially in the morning the front desk staff he wasn’t very nice I could hear people flushing their toilets while I was in my room It is overpriced and overrated.

We had booked a room with two queen beds but when we arrived, they don't have any rooms with queen beds. Only availability is with a single king bed or two double beds and neither of these options worked well for us.
The only option for parking is valet parking which adds $55 per day, we would have preferred a self park option

We loved our stay here-right on the beach! The price and charges were exactly as quoted. There was a resort fee but that was clearly articulated. The location is perfect. Front desk was responsive to requests. There were no bikes available-out of order which was disappointing. We would definitely stay here again

The lobby looks like its going to be a great place. But it is very underwhelming. 1st room was really bad in beach tower. Horrible smell (musty) and was dirty. Didnt appear cleaned prior to arrival. Mascara on mirror and toilet dirty in addition to some trash left on dresser. Went straight to lobby, asked for room change. . Ok, but $30 more per night because of limited availability. Room was smaller, but at least clean... they considered it an upgrade because of balcony. But service was good, they did give us free breakfasts and a couple of premium drink passes, so i was satisfied. However, there is no self park option ($55 per night valet fee ). And roughly $45 per day service and "resort fee" ... when NOTHING was available this time of year. In addition to what i paid orbitz, i owed $400 additional for 3 nights when i checked out. Money aside, i would NOT stay here again. Not within reasonable walking distance of main entertainment area up the road. Overall pretty unsatisfied with everything except the staff and the sushi at the naked crab (maybe the best i have ever had) but also very pricy ($20-30 per roll)

You can do better for the money.
First the good stuff:
There are two staff members that are shining DJ, one of the valets, and LD in facilities maintenance are both exceptional staff members. Warm, engaging, friendly, and a wealth of information about the area etc.
Now onto the rest:
This is an old property, with all of the aches and pains of old properties.
We had two rooms. The heat didn't work in either room. Apparently this was a well known issue, because the solution was to use an electric space heater in each room.
Musty smells due to some mold etc.
Sinks in both rooms were clogged, but LD was able to remedy that quite quickly.
The pool area is decent, but there is no hot tub on property.
The food and beverage prices are fairly high and viewed through the lens of the pricing, the food quality is mediocre at absolute best.

Beach is at the hotel so you can walk out the hotel and you are on the beach.
They have beach chairs and towels included in the resort fee. There is a fee for the umbrella which is $26.00 per day.
The 2 pools are very clean and the main pool has a dj to 4 pm.
All the restaurants are walkable.
I find that this hotel is the most convenient since it is on the beach.
Most of the hotels you have to cross the street but the B Ocean you don’t have to.
The area is very safe. It is also a pet friendly hotel. I will recommend this hotel and I will definitely return.

Not worth the money
Unfortunately this hotel was not worth the money. Check in is at 4:00 and check out 11:00am. They didn’t have my grandparents room ready until 4:30. They also put the beach chairs away promptly at 5 so you can’t sit and watch the sunset. The restaurant in the hotel is VERY expensive.

This place is in dire need of renovation. The night we got there was a cold night (by FL standards) and even though the thermostat had a heater function, we were informed that the building actually has no heater. The second night it rained a lot and we spent half the night up tending to the leaking ceiling. The next day, the A/C didn't work. They finally moved us to another room, but I expect much better for about 300 USD a night. We had a company function here and that didn't go so well either, the buffet had no sides. This the last time we'll be at this hotel for sure!!!

The hotel has a long and famous history, which, when reading about it, was quite interesting.
Our room was not very clean, with dust and hair on the tv table and nightstand.
The landscaping right next to the hotel (not sure if the area is owned by the hotel), had quite a bit of debris from twigs and dead leaves from the plants.
The beach towels were very thin and small.
The beach, the views, and the front desk employees were all great.
However, the customer service at the coffee and grab&go breakfast area was not good as there was only one employee to care for the very long line of hotel guests waiting to be served. The employee, unfortunately, would prepare food and coffee drinks without washing her hands after touching her face as well as money. Not good.

stayed here 3 nights before our cruise, upgraded to a balcony room ocean view which was great, the room was a bit small, no seating area other than the deck. there was some construction going on but it really wasn't an issue. we found the food and drinks very expensive but made due. Stayed 1 night post cruise in a tower room, it was bigger but very noisy, it was a busy weekend but you could hear the neighbors coughing ! It was great to be able to store our luggage and hang around until our room was ready. easy and helpful check in and out.

We immediately upgraded our room after seeing how small the original room was. We got a suite that had a bath and a half and a living room and a countertop, fridge and table. There was no microwave, no hooks for clothes, no drawers for clothes. We had a walk in closet with 6 hangers. The sofa was in very poor condition .It was difficult to get anyone to clean our room. The trash was overflowing. You could hear everything around the room, the construction, doors slammed all day long literally shaking the room and you could hear our neighbors talking. The dinning room, which we went to once was dirty. Our table had coffee stains, our flatware was spotted and the crumbs in the crease of the table looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Our dinner bill was over 200.00. For that price I would expect a higher end feel.
The good…the staff at the Hotel are very nice. Many USB ports in room. Nice beach. Nicely located if you don’t mind walking a bit. This place is not cheap, my feeling is it’s overpriced for what you are getting.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean and nice. The valet parking situation was expensive and messy. It was also pretty strange that there was no shower curtain or shower door, no fan in the bathroom, and no lock on the bathroom door. Other than the parking, bathroom set up and the loud music playing all night, everything was good.

Room was run down, bathroom smelled like sewage. Carpet in hallways buckeled. Drunk ppl banging on room doors at 3am. Kids running down halls screaming. We called for extra toilet paper twice and they didn't bring it. Asked front desk and they didn't have any. We ended up taking some out of a bathroom. Asked for extra pillow and took 2 hrs to bring it and we had to call twice. Limited food options and way overpriced. No water refill stations.

The worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in. Upon arrival we were too early to check in. The staff told us to store our bags in an area near the front desk and said that the doors would be closed and our bags were secured. When we came back to check in and collect our bags, the doors to where our bags were, were wide open, no staff in sight and we grabbed our bags without having to show our claim tickets. The elevators were being serviced for most of our stay. We literally waited 10 minutes for the elevator before calling the front desk. They told us “o sorry the elevators are being fixed now but we will have someone meet you if you have any bags that you need help with”. After complaining, they finally put a sign on the elevators stating that they were out of order. Just horrible

Construction all over the facility. Mold in our shower. Coffee sold on property was horrible. Bought a glass of wine at the bar- skunky! Had to return because was so bad… for $18/glass! Windows we’re filthy at resort… could barely see the ocean. Staff was nice!

Cons -Room does not have lights in bed living area. Looks like the bed lights were being repaired but are still broken. At night the room is dark

.Shower water does not get real hot and water pressure is aweful. Only one shower door. Water was getting on floor Toilet hard to flush. couldn't get shampoo out of my hair.

Not enough chairs at beach pool for the amount of rooms at this property. Make sure you save 2 chairs ny 830am fir either pool or beach. No sun on pool after 130 for rest of entire day. To get a front waterview on beach you have to come early or you are in back of beach. Property should extend the beach lines. There are no other buildings to the left of property so it is possible. You only get one towel at pool and a lot of them are small and not in great shape. Extra charges all over the place. $50 a night parking is to much. Should be $25. Lots of construction going on while heading to pool. Hotel dated. Otherwise pros are view of ocean from room is nice , pool and beach are very nice. Food at wreck bar and naked crab are good. Service was good too. Location good Thanks

Great location on the beach. Food at this property is also good. If you're there on Friday and Saturday, try the sushi, it's fantastic. We went to both the Mermaid burlesque show and the Mermaid brunch - both were fantastic; so much fun!

The ac to noisy the bath tub was blocked. They should check before rent a room. They charge for paking a lot . I was expecting that my car was in good care. They give me my car back dirty and scratched. Overall. I wouldn’t go back and not recommend to anybody

Customer service was good from all employees (front desk, cleaning, pool-beach, and valet) and it was very clean.
But there is a lack of transparency on additional charges, such as resort fee and specially the valet parking fee (VP fees has a no disclosure anywhere). It's not great getting inform that you need to pay 500 dollars the moment you arrive. What is the purpose of making a reservation if fees are not going to be disclosed? Also a very small comment on the conditions of the bikes. We used 2: One did not have brakes and the other one was about to fall apart.

Don't stay here. B Ocean B aware of Bedbug bites
My husband and I was staying at the B Ocean Report for our honeymoon. We got the bedbug bites all over our body. It's horrible and disgusting. The Oceanview room is under our expectation and everything is over-priced. I did not pay my money to only get bitten by bedbugs.

Not happy with my stay this time.
I've stayed at the B Ocean four time within the last year. I like it. But this last visit was terrible. They have a sewer problem that they are ignoring and its not fair to the guests. My room smell bad the whole time and i upgraded my room. Not happy at all

We checked into rooms 308 and 314 for the night - to begin a nice vacation with dear friends. There was a wedding just below our room. We could not even hear our TV for how loud the music was - we were right above the booming music. When I called the front desk, they offered to move me - we were already in bed and settled in. I asked why they even put us there if there - they said a flimsy excuse that they did not know there would be a wedding there when we booked a week prior. That is most likely not true. They took an insulting $16 each off our two rooms for the inconvenience - which left $300 and $250 left to pay. In my 60 years, I can say this is the worst night I have ever spent in a hotel. When the pot smoke coming up from the party patio came up to us, they did say they would take care of that.
Anyone that walked by the room or got ice or anything - you could hear every word and it continued all the night long.
A few hours later several police with bull horns were addressing some issue on the public beach next to us - not the hotel's fault, but certainly the icing on the cake for our visit.
We could not wait to leave. Avoid booking a night at the hotel if you want to sleep or enjoy your evening.

First thing is I booked an ocean view and when I got to the room, I was across the street from the ocean with another building in front of me. When I called them about it they said I got the ocean front not the ocean view. Second thing,the room I had doesn’t have a window patio or a window that opens. I’m very disappointed with the room and the trickery of this hotel. Last of all the room was dusty and the a/c doesn’t come on after 8 at night!

The room was very hot. The water pressure was awful. The bathroom was full of hair and the shower floor was slimy. The bathroom floor also was not cleaned. Walls in the room are dirty and need paint. And the room was very dusty. Definetly not a room worth 329.00 per night. In the add it states "Stunning". It was not Stunning. I informed the front desk when checking out, but she did not even apologize. I did not let them know before because we checked in and quickly left the bags in the room and did not get back till 3am. I was not going to move rooms at that time after a long day. We were a large group that stayed to celebrate a bachlorette.
