I was disappointed in this place. Upon arrival they talk you into coming to a meeting to hear about purchasing a place (apparently these are
Time shares). I declined but they were very insistent. They told me I would get $100 credit for restaurants on the property and 2 free days at the waterpark. The meeting was supposed to be no longer than 90 mins. It was 3 hours. I had my husband and 2 children with me. I was furious. It was very uncomfortable. When I refused to buy a place they had 4 people come and try to talk me into it. Just wrong! There is a store on the property. A 12-pack of white claw was $39.99. Again just wrong. I found a used hair clip and medicine in my room. There was no blanket for the pullout. The pullout was horribly uncomfortable. They show free movies and give out popcorn. We went to 3 movies and never was popcorn given out. We used the vending machines which ate our money. We were told too bad and we can call the number on the machine. We were there a week, nobody came to freshen up the room. Will never go back. Numerous people had commented how this place has gone downhill. I will say the restaurants had great food and were priced decent as compared to the white claw at the store.

We had booked in advance, but at registration they seemed to be looking for a room for us rather than having one ready.
The room did not seem to have been prepared for our i pm arty of 4; we had to ask for additional towels and bed linens.
But staff was fantastic and responded quickly once we made our requests

The compound itself there is a lot to do, staff is friendly. The units, however… the TV didn’t work, the internet didn’t work (I put in a ticket and nothing happened) and the shower was black. The fridge and freezer had a strong bleach smell. The beds were not comfortable. The restaurant had an hour and a half wait despite having four parties there. It was otherwise empty.

We had no Ac for 2 days and when they moved us the toilet overflowed at night while sleeping. Clothes got soaked in toilet water I almost slipped. It’s definitely not how it used to be we have gone there for 10 plus years.

When i checked in they gave me the wrong room, i booked the deluxe villa and they gave me a regular room. I had to go back and showed the booking confirmation so i can get what i requested. They did it right, but i didn’t like that i have to showed them proof, when in their end it showed deluxe villa as well. The room was perfect, enough towels, nice jacuzzi and beautiful view.

Our room was next to what looked like a banquet area. Not sure exactly what it was. It was very loud. Someone was scooting furniture around at 7 am
They were slamming doors over & over around 6:30 am and woke our infant.

Never again, apartaments only have doors and Windows right on the walking hallways, basically if your have your light on, everyone walking is seeing you through the bedroom curtains spaces.
While sleeping people walkimg and talking in the hallways 1 feet from bedroom.
Zero privacy.

The washer machine and dryer not working at all. I have to take all my clothes wet in my luggage. No pillows, call more than 7 times never bring anything. Bath tub dirty. Windows with missing blinds and couldn’t rest. Never change me to another room and it was so many available. Bad customer service. Never coming back and if you want to rest in a nice place. Please dont come to this one. They dont care about people, they only car about money. Worst place to go.

Check in meant an incredibly long wait. Staff was great though. There were additional stations that could have been opened to handle the crowd. The property is beautiful and the accommodations exceeded expectations. Wish the pool bars were open later.

Property needs to be more clear as to the amenities that are included and the ones that require an additional charge. The water park was an additional $24.95 per person. For a family of four that adds up. The rooms were nice and I really like the layout. However, next to the front door there are two glass windows that are almost see-through. Yes, you cannot see through clear as day but you could definitely invade peoples privacy. It also allows all the light at night to come in, if somebody is sleeping in the living room area, using the couch sofa, the light is a real nuisance.

We had the suite directly above the maintenance room in building 5000. There was constant noise, we could hear the door creek every time it was gone through. We felt misled, we felt we were just nickel and dimed from the check in to departure. The room was always warm, the AC did not keep up. I did not understand why, and for what the reasoning was, for the $196.00 charge when I checked in to the room. We saw the small waterpark behind our building and thought that would be good for our 8 year old grandson, not knowing it was $25.00 per person, per day to get into. It may be good for a time share family but we were severely disappointed. Only positive was the WalMart across the road from the "resort".

Whole stay is a sales pitch
The whole experience was not great. Started the check in process with the front desk saying they couldn’t find my reservation and tried to charge my card full price when I was told that I was only being charged the resort fee. I hit cancel before it went through but it should have been my first sign to run. After I was finally checked in, I was taken to another desk and was forced to listen to an hour long sales pitch before I was given my room keys to come for a “free breakfast” and tour of the property and was charged once again for a “breakfast deposit” that I’d get back. I declined, but my card was still charged the deposit. The room was spacious and comfortable and this part of the stay was nice. On our last night I got a text from the front desk reminding me of the free breakfast. When I reminded her that we would not be there, she text saying that she would be canceling my refund for the deposit. EVEN THOUGH I NEVER APPROVED THIS OR AGREED TO ATTEND ANY BREAKFAST. The whole thing felt like a sales pitch to sign up for a timeshare which was stated NO WHERE on the website. Also, all of the “amenities” are not available unless you attend this breakfast. The water park, fitness center and pools are only available for “members.”

The outside of the property was beautiful. However the room was dirty and missing the sheets on the bed. The A/C in the room broke half way through the trip and we had to relocate rooms, which smelled like mildew. Their main attraction “shipwreck water park” was shut down 6 out of the 7 days we were their for “weather”. Didn’t even see a lightning bolt until 9pm. They closed the park down at 11am.

I booked a 2 night stay for Fathers day weekend. Both days my husband was livid we had to attempt to get a good nights rest in 76 - 77' degree room- would not drop temp at all. Maintain came out first time and was said it was good to go but nothing was fixed as we decided to head out for the day and came back to again 76-77 degree room. It was also rainy out and muggy so did not help the mood to be also hot staying in doors and with that room smell with no ac. I also must mentiom how dirty the room was spider webs evwrywhere. I had to call for cleaning services just do they can come scrap off the webs. German roaches - (2) in the living room just roaming. I have never ever experienced this with Westgate & the fact i did this time and was ignored just blew my mind. Paid over 400 dollars for a 2 night stay and it was so horrible i dont know if i could ever give them a chance again. WESTGATE YOU MUST DO BETTER!

This property was extremely amazing. My only complaint was the young lady with the red hair that worked in the activity center. We went at 5pm to do the swan tour (per the front desk) and online it says it closed at 6 and the sign out front said it closes at 8 but on this particular day they decided to close early at 4:30 and had an attitude when i was asking why. Did manager did speak with me and my party but we were let down because it was my sons birthday and he really wanted to do the swan tour.

The price per night does not include the water park entrance it’s an additional $25 per person to get in, then their is the check in, it took 45 minutes to see the receptionist because the amount of people checking in. The room are really outdated but they are clean. The parking at night is a nightmare you have to park and walk a couple of blocks. Then at check out they want to charge $25 resort fee per night! Stay away from this scam.

We stayed at the 1 bed condo and it was enough space for our family of 5. There's a patio and full kitchen as well that was very useful for us. The washer and dryer were very helpful as we stayed for almost a week and the kids needed to have laundry 😴

DECLINE THE WELCOME PACKAGE!! They coerce you into a timeshare presentation and when you decline to buy they bring two more bigger guys to try to intimidate you. It’s like a bad mob movie.
Otherwise, nice place to stay with family. Good food options, lists to do for all ages! Anything less than 3 guest, I’d say stay at an actual hotel.

My family of 3 stayed there 4/18-4/22. Overall we are pleased with our stay aside from our mixed customer service issues. The room was clean and easily accessible/walkable to other areas of the resort. The restaurants on site were good but some have limited hours which was unfortunate considering we were there Tues-Sat. Due to the size of the resort, we wish there would have been more of an explanation of the property, amenities and hours. Instead shortly after our arrival, we were asked to partake in a time share. The resort did reach out to us regarding our initial review of the property (they send out messages asking for feedback), they asked how they could improve our stay. We provided feedback but not much they could change other than be aware of the feedback. The proximity of the resort to Orlando and Disney was very convenient. This was our first time staying in this area and at the resort, during our stay we did make a trip to Clearwater Beach (2 hrs). It was the favorite part of our trip and we’ll likely travel there next vs returning to this property.

Large well maintained resort, several dining options, many pools throughout the facility and beautiful waterpark.
What I would improve is related to other guests, such as guests not following rules or rule enforcement. Examples; glass beer bottles and smoking at pools. Excessive guest noise from running around outside of building yelling late into the night.

My daughter and I did spring break at this location. It was lots of fun. The water park, swan boats, and numerous pool options were some of our favorite memories. Lobby moved smoothly during checking in and out. The food options were convenient as well. It can get a little pricey dining, but the suites have full kitchens, and theres grills on the property for cooking meals yourself. We will definitely return for another stay.

Nothing was ever said that u had to pay for the water park where I had to pay just to sit and the kids never used anything, only available after 11 really, nice when some mexican kid takes a crap in the pool… how does a restaurant run out of beer….. someone needs to tell joe to go to New York and try the pizza your sign is way off, I had better frozen pizza outta a supermarket. This property appeared luxurious, however the room was unclean and half of the amenities within it did not work. It was difficult to find staff and access to the activities onsite were extremely limited. They do a great job of advertising such a great stay, but we found most our experience was better off site. On top of it, they con you to become owners of the resort- 2 hours of my vacation was lost trying to sell me on a hotel room that was unclean and unkept. Ridiculous. During our trip, we met and spoke to an owner that purchased their room several years ago and had just as many complaints. The prices are going up, yet guests/ owners are receiving less and less. I just wish they would take better care of their guests/ staff- as they definitely seemed understaffed and overwhelmed when a guest member would request any assistance. Hopefully we have better look next time- as for the price of our stay, I would have hoped for some decent service.
